I tried the Iced Spotted Owl and really enjoyed it--definitely on the sweeter side, but as a hazelnut fan, it hit the spot. The lemon coffee cake bites were a great add-on. Not too heavy, just the right portion for a quick treat alongside a drink. Huge bonus for me: they have a drive-thru, which makes it super convenient when you're on the go. The service was also great: friendly, quick, and made the whole experience even better. And extra points for being dog-friendly! Their pup cup was huge and such a fun surprise. Unbelievably Hostile and Combative Service…read more My friend and I visited Eastside Café around 10:00 AM on a Saturday, and it was hands down the most memorable meetup we've ever had--for all the wrong reasons. Unless you want to be insulted, barked at, and made to wait over an hour for basic food, avoid this place at all costs. The Timeline of Events: * Line Wait: 20 minutes just to place our separate orders at the counter (3 couples were ahead of us). * The Orders: Two paninis (which menus state come with chips) and one small latte. * The Initial Wait: After 25 minutes of waiting (45 minutes total in the shop), we had zero food and no coffee. We politely checked in with the pleasant dark-haired employee, who admitted our order had been forgotten. * The Final Food Wait: It took another 10 minutes to get the coffee and one panini. It took an additional 25 minutes--and another follow-up--just to get the second panini. Total food wait time: over an hour. The Atrocious Service: The blonde employee with glasses and a bun was shockingly hostile. While we waited, she loudly called a table of four girls a "bunch of alcoholics" simply for ordering two mimosa flights. She then barked at them to "come pick up their dam drinks" because she wasn't "paid enough to walk them over." When they rose to leave, she yelled at them that she was "NOT cleaning up after them" and demanded they wipe down their own table. They left with their tail between their legs, like they did something wrong. When we naturally grew concerned about our second missing panini and asked about it, she said she's busy. We said we understand and only want to know how much longer. Then she snapped at us in front of the whole restaurant: "Clearly you DON'T understand or you wouldn't keep asking me about your dam panini." Mind you, we had only asked once. The Aftermath: We ended up asking for the food to-go just to escape the abuse. They completely forgot our chips, and we had to ask for a menu just to prove they were included, resulting in a 5-minute wait for what turned out to be chip crumbs. We ended up chatting and laughing out of exasperation with the mimosa group outside, who were actively warning prospective customers away. They went back in and took a picture of this person for receipts. The most shocking part? When I got home and looked at Yelp, the person responding to reviews as the business owner looks very similar to the blonde worker who abused us. If the owner is the one back-talking paying customers and treating everyone like an interruption to her phone time, this business is in serious trouble. I'm not posting the picture of the blond girl in question out of privacy. It's a running joke now between my friend and I that wherever we meet up again in the future, it won't be as bad at the Eastside cafe. Completely rude, combative, and unacceptable. Never again. And the food was just mediocre.

I had no lunch plans and I knew exactly what I wanted for lunch. I arrive and the girl at the counter was having a bad day and I could tell. She avoided all any eye contact with me, she did not want to engage in any small talk and she was there to receive a pay check and that was that. Ok fine, I get it we all have bad days, just get me my food then. I ask her "how spicy is the spicy check wings?" So goes, "they are alright spicy." WTF, I'm giving a puzzling look and I'm not sure how to respond to that statement but whatever, I get it your cat died, your bf just broke up with you, your car insurance just went up 5%, sure I get it. I place an order for the spicy chicken wings and I wait. I take in the ambiance and it's a great place to chill and grab some bubble tea and lunch. I wait about ten mins and my wings are ready! When I walked up to get my wings I noticed there was some mochinut and I had to get some! I get three flavors, strawberry, taro, and green tea and then I head home to sample the food with my family. First up were the wings, they were scary looking but in a spicy kind of way. Was my stomach and whatever after comes after ready for these wings? I sure hope so! So I went in for my first bite and I was pleasantly surprised. The wings were super good! The flavoring and everything was fire, flame, hit the spot good. And the spice level was 'alright' (see what I did there?), it had a kick but nothing that my kids couldn't handle. My wife enjoyed the wings as well and she said they were good. I'm glad I stopped by and got the fried chicken wings to try because they were amazingly delicious and I'll be back for more. I finished off my lunch and tried some mochinut and they were good as well and you don't have any complaints from me on the food. The service on the other hand, get a new girl who wants to come to work and put on a smile.
