Oh my goodness if you haven't tried this place what are you waiting for? The raspberry mascarpone pancakes are out of this world. Drizzled with lemon curd syrup they are simply the best pancakes I have ever had. The omelette with goat cheese, fresh, asparagus, and roasted red peppers is stellar. This place gets slammed on the weekends and they limit you to 90 minutes because there's so many people waiting to enjoy this incredible food. I couldn't give it a 4 or 5 for 2 main reasons: some of our food was served just lukewarm, and the sweet potatoes in the Home Sweet Home weren't fully cooked. But the portions were huge!!! They do offer "small plates" but I thought that would be too small. Well- large was super large! Everything but the home sweet home was delicious! After a night of drinking from a local brewery, I wanted a "healthy" plate of food to fill up my belly. Syrup hit all the notes and it also had a lot of positive reviews. After looking at the menu, I saw Biscuits and Gravy, Country fried chicken and Chilaquiles. My tummy decided the latter option to be the best. The location was easy to find. Parking lot was pretty big. And despite opening an hour ago, the spot was filling up quickly on a cold Sunday morning. My wife and I went inside and we were seated and greeting right away. Sea Salt caramel Frappe caught my eye. And my wife got the SmOreo. They arrived quickly and in big glasses For breakfast, my chilaquiles came with two eggs, chorizo, black beans and breakfast potato's. The potatoes were salted perfectly and had a nice crispy edge which I rarely find in restaurants. The chorizo was flavorful and not oily at all. The chilaquiles were amazing! I decided to treat myself to a side of their billionaire bacon. It was thick cut bacon with brown sugar and spiced perfectly. It was not spicy at all but just spiced. A wonderful balance of flavors. The restaurant had a lot of seating available. But I can see why there was a big waiting list when I left. Our server was amazing. Overall, I am a huge fan of Syrup. I am glad we checked this location out. And I am glad to hear there are two more locations which are near me. First visit today and WOW! Large menu with so many fun options! Huge variety of Alcohol and coffee drinks - fun! I had a steel cut oatmeal bowl with all sorts of fruit, granola and honey. I met my daughter here for breakfast at this local eatery. It's a nice place, simple and unassuming, but the prices are quite high. The food was somewhat bland; I ordered the breakfast sliders, but they lacked flavor and seasoning. They offer soda and child's juice cups priced at $4.00, which seems overpriced for the portion size. Throughout our meal, the server repeatedly approached us to ask if we were ready to order, despite us having been seated for at least five minutes, which was quite annoying and disruptive. Absolutely horrible customer service! We walked in, and 4 people walked in after us. When we told the front that we were waiting on 2 more, the person at the front immediately looked right past us and talked to the people behind us. Not a single person ever said another word to us. Didn't say that the whole party needed to be there prior to being seated. We would have been fine if we were communicated that. However, being completely ignored with no communication as to why made us feel unim. We will never provide patronage at this location ever again. read more

My husband and I returned to Syrup for the first time in a few years having moved out of the area. The experience was very disappointing. I ordered the Avocado Toast on Gluten Free bread. One slice of Udi's bread (tiny!) with smashed Avo comprised my portion. $16.50! I spoke to the waitress who sympathized and said they have had complaints like mine before but the management has not changed their portion or price. The restaurant assessed an up-charge for my GF bread as well. Additionally there were several signs posted warning customers of a minutes restriction when crowded, and an inability to seat incomplete parties. I'd been wanting to try SYRUP since moving to the area, and it definitely lived up to the hype! Like most popular breakfast spots on the weekend, it was packed, and we had about a 30-minute wait, just as they told us. After we got seated, it took a little while (10-15 mins) for water and menus, which was probably the only downside since we already knew what we wanted to order. The decor here is super cute, bright, and modern--perfect for a fun breakfast vibe! They also have plenty of seating to handle all kinds of group sizes, which is great. Our waitress was super sweet and had some great recommendations. My boyfriend was set on a blackberry limeade, but she suggested the lavender version, and it was SO good. I got the Cluck Cluck Skillet because the chorizo gravy sounded too good to pass up, and it didn't disappoint! The skillet was delicious, though they really load it up with potatoes--probably a bit more than I could handle. But overall, great food and huge portions for what you pay. I am an Uber eats driver. I went today to the restaurant to pick up an order for a customer. Upon arrival I asked for order and they told me it'll be ready soon. After 10 minutes of standing inside and only having customers drink in front of me I asked a lady in front of me how much longer it will be. irritated with me. She told me an extremely hostile tone that the court order came in at certain time and they're still working on it.. So I gently told her not to be hostile with me. And then she got very rude. All after all, I don't think that the lady named Jodi, who is that source manager should work there.. Have you seen in a little bit older of her age she is extremely overwhelmed with work and does not fully comprehend how Uber eats or DoorDash works. As well the restaurant is extremely busy and she is in over her head. At the end, she had told me to never come back there as she tried to wrestle me for my customers drink. Her behavior is highly unprofessional for someone who is supposed to be a store manager for a family restaurant and I think it should be addressed by someone who actually acknowledges today's industry of deliveries as well as how busy your place can be and knows how to speak to everyone instead of telling them to never come back and like a child wrestles delivery driver for a customer drink. What is more hilarious to me is that instead of being brute and highly unprofessional with me if she just went and checked on my order as I kindly asked, she would see just preparing and they were already bringing it out to me. read more

But that same energizing crowd also slows the servers down, and maybe even drives simple things out of their minds. I found that requests that were not written down were often forgotten, like refilling water & coffee, or bringing extra syrup. But service was not the issue, they did the best they could. The issue was the price vs. the quality. The food was better than Denny's or Norm's, but it was a notch below Cracker Barrel. And SYRUP's price for it's dishes were High. We love St.Charles Syrup, so decided to try this location. They are not as good as St.Charles, the mimosa was warm!?!?!? The cucumber lime drink was not as tasty as St.Charles. The names are slightly different but same ingredients. The bacon tasted horrible. My crepes were really good though and the waffle flight was good. Service was good. They don't have a bar or booths, the way St.Charles does, so it's very loud and screaming children, ugh! Will not be back to this location. read more

I had the home sweet home, which is two eggs, diced sweet potatoes, red pepper, onions and kale. Includes goat cheese too. Very good and healthy. Their coffee is good and hot. My only real complaint is their toast. It's never really toasted long enough to get browned. It's like luke warm and barely toasted. Food prices tend to skew a little higher too. read more

I find most brunch spots to be pretty similar. With big menus, it is easy to make the food mediocre. Not Syrup! I love the look of this restaurant, like a modern farmhouse. The service was great, everyone was very nice and friendly. I tried the waffle flight and absolutely loved it! I wish more restaurants did flights like this because I always want to try different flavors of things but don't want the full dish. This is perfect for those that just want a sample like myself. The waffle flight comes with 4 mini waffles. My two favorites were the lemon raspberry and the coconut strawberry waffle. The chocolate bacon was a little odd and the brown sugar banana was a bit sweet. But hey, now I know what flavors to get for next time! My friend got the nutella strawberry crepes and they were so good! Overall, I would like to come back and try more of the menu. I was out in the "boonies" and found this restaurant. It had good reviews and an interesting menu. It was Saturday almost lunch time. There was a 10 minute wait. Not bad. I was seated and a server came quickly. Three choices I needed to choose between. Loaded potato cakes, Kimmies Favorite and Lemon Mascarpone pancakes. I got the Loaded Potatoes.
