    Ultimate Bloody Mary

Brunch spot in west Chicago suburbs with plenty of space for large groups. The menu here is huge and portion sizes are massive so you will definitely leave feeling full. Given the wide variety on the menu, the quality of food was just average. Most of our dishes were under seasoned, which might be preferred for some, but I found the flavor lacking. The fried chicken on my skillet cluck cluck was surprisingly dry. It was a Sunday morning, so understandably busy which made service slower than expected.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. 3 is average, and not a horrible rating. I couldn't give it a 4 or 5 for 2 main reasons: some of our food was served just lukewarm, and the sweet potatoes in the Home Sweet Home weren't fully cooked. But the portions were huge!!! They do offer "small plates" but I thought that would be too small. Well- large was super large! Everything but the home sweet home was delicious! That dish just feels flat, even if the sweet potatoes had been cooked all the way. It was a busy Saturday morning, server was pretty attentive. Place was clean and brightly lit.

After a night of drinking from a local brewery, I wanted a "healthy" plate of food to fill up my belly. Syrup hit all the notes and it also had a lot of positive reviews. After looking at the menu, I saw Biscuits and Gravy, Country fried chicken and Chilaquiles. My tummy decided the latter option to be the best. The location was easy to find. Parking lot was pretty big. And despite opening an hour ago, the spot was filling up quickly on a cold Sunday morning. My wife and I went inside and we were seated and greeting right away. Sea Salt caramel Frappe caught my eye. And my wife got the SmOreo. They arrived quickly and in big glasses For breakfast, my chilaquiles came with two eggs, chorizo, black beans and breakfast potato's. The potatoes were salted perfectly and had a nice crispy edge which I rarely find in restaurants. The chorizo was flavorful and not oily at all. The chilaquiles were amazing! I decided to treat myself to a side of their billionaire bacon. It was thick cut bacon with brown sugar and spiced perfectly. It was not spicy at all but just spiced. A wonderful balance of flavors. The restaurant had a lot of seating available. But I can see why there was a big waiting list when I left. Our server was amazing. Overall, I am a huge fan of Syrup. I am glad we checked this location out. And I am glad to hear there are two more locations which are near me. I will be back to this restaurant... it is my new favorite breakfast restaurant now!

Breakfast here has consistently been good. The potion sizes are generous and the service is solid. Everyone enjoyed their food. I never hesitate when going to Syrup is suggested.

First visit today and WOW! Large menu with so many fun options! Huge variety of Alcohol and coffee drinks - fun! I had a steel cut oatmeal bowl with all sorts of fruit, granola and honey. Friend had a breakfast skillet and a latte with the hugest portions ever! Take home bags were a must. Really good place with wonderful service! I will be back!

My family is obsessed with Syrup! They have the nicest staff, they get your food out quick and it's such a nice atmosphere with farmhouse tones. We love bringing my son here because they are kid friendly. The food is delicious and there are huge portions we always leave with food for later!

The wait was a bit long because there were a lot of people there on a Sunday. But it was cute on the inside. It felt a little farmhouse-like. Our waitress was very attentive once we got our seats. The food was pretty good. I liked that they had homemade jam as compared to those little jam packets you get at a lot of breakfast places.

This was my first time I went here even though it was my sister birthday . The service was really nice. the food was good. It was clean. It was busy with full people and next time. I'll come back here. I'll order something different. There were alot of choices on the menu. So I got myself a burger with waffle fries that were really good.

    Classic egg breakfast

The wait time and hostess area was overcrowded. The initial girl took my number to text me, then they were announcing (yelling) out the names vs texting? The atmosphere was noisy and cramped. We were seated right off the main waiting area. David, our sever was friendly initially however once our food appeared he disappeared. The blueberry pancakes were too thick and chewy. The classic egg breakfast was below average. The turkey bacon was undercooked as well as the potatoes. We had wanted to try this new place hoping for a good experience...

4th of July at 8:00am. Service is always good, friendly and consistent. Food is plentiful and well prepared. The different type of "Syrups" make this place unique.

So, when visiting them, we decided to stop by here for breakfast. The atmosphere is cute, I guess. Neighborhood greasy-spoon/diner vibe, with obvious regulars and staff greeting them. Our waitress was brash and frankly, barely came around, so maybe they favor the regulars here? Not sure. I asked for an Iced Coffee, was given bland cold brew. The food was decent but not great. The Irish Benedict was very heavy, and the hollandaise sauce tasted like grease. My Dad got a Traditional Breakfast. He said the eggs were fine but the sausage was slick with grease. The best item was the pancakes, so I guess this restaurant is named accordingly. No, I wouldn't come back, due to the mediocre service and food. However, this location has shut down/is shutting down since I visited a few weeks ago. Can't say I'm surprised!

We put our order in and received it within minutes. I ordered an ham and cheese omelette with Wheat bread. My wife got an egg fried hard and sourdough bread. The hash browns were hot, salty and crispy. Just the way they should be. The place is new and decorated with old antique toasters. It has about ten or more counter seats. The overall experience was excellent. Reasonable prices. Nice

We started with mimosas (only way to start a Sunday morning breakfast). What we ordered: * Steak Hash- my husband said this is his new favorite breakfast meal. This is a man who loves breakfast over any other meal. Order the steak hash, you will not be disappointed. * Piquant sausage crostata- I absolutely loved this dish. It was bursting with flavor in each bite. Definitely had a kick of spice, which I love. I think we have found our new Sunday brunch spot! Thank you Chef Patrick and Kathleen for giving us wonderful food and a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy our early Sundays.

Let me start by writing that this place deserves five stars and should be five stars, and I wanted…read moreso badly to give it five stars. But sadly there was a private event that spread the kitchen very thin and it took away from the overall experience. Food: 5.0/5.0 - Everything we ate was awesome. We did the Wood-Fired Artichoke, the Two Pigs in a Basket Crostata, the Steak Hash, and the Arugula Salad. Everything was cooked and flavored nicely but I wish the steak hash had more steak. (See my photos) Service: 4.5/5.0 - The server was kind and Joe was walking around checking in regularly, making sure we were protected from the rain. I dinged half a point because the server didn't have the best explanations for why everything was out. More on that later. Ambiance: 4.0/5.0 - I think on a normal evening on a date, this place would be 5.0/5.0. The decor is rustic/modern and it felt like a vacation spot that you'd visit on the Florida coast. Loved the brassware and the attention to detail in the presentation of food. It was a Sunday afternoon when we were there, so the band across the street was disruptive to the feel outside the restaurant in the garden and patio. By 3:00pm the flies and gnats were becoming annoying. So good scores in general and worthy of 5 stars, but alas, the kitchen was not prepared for the afternoon private party along with the crowd from the night before... apparently. They were "unable to make" or were out of several dishes. From what I can recall, there were no: pizza pies, whitefish, and chimichurri. They also ran out of all soda except a few bottles of Coca Cola. And there was no beer on tap because the keg was broken, so they only had Guinness and Stella bottles. Because of this, it stung to pay the prices we did for our items. I'd say a fair price point with all said and done is probably $3-$4 less on any item here. Crostatas were great, but maybe for $13. I'd pay $16 for the steak hash. I'm sure if we came back on a weeknight, this place would be amazing. Great people, great food, and everything in stock. If we came back, I'd love to upgrade this review to 5 stars. The problem is, the price may keep us from giving this place a second try.

There is a dirty dish trolley that loops the dining area constantly so you get the visual of other people's dirty dishes and food for your entire meal. It also clinks when it goes past you so prepare for that. There are short benches for the booth so the woman behind me who had very long hair and kept tossing it over her shoulder had her hair lande on MY shoulder each time she adjusted it. Taller benches or a glass partition of sorts would've been nice. The paint is chipping all around, the contact paper covering the table is peeling, it's just very poorly maintained in here. It's giving diner vibes in a place that's meant to look like a nice brunch spot. When I go into a diner I'm expecting a little bit of ick; was not expecting it here. In addition to this, our waitress appeared to not like her job today which added an additional sprinkle of awkward to an already icky experience. We saw her once. Then she came back when I lunged out of the seat to get her attention and she gave us the check. I did tell the people at the front my dining experience was not great and the gentleman was not sure how to respond and said sorry and told me my total. Maybe if we ordered TO GO it would've been great but this was not great.
