This place is a comprehensive review from 4 visits. It is a breakfast brunch restaurant. And 3 visits were breakfast solo or with friends and one was an order to-go. The inside is nice, comfortable booths mostly, some tables with chairs. Bright and clean you check in and wait to be seated and is always been busy when I've visitsd so you know it's good. The service always is good; attentive in the right amount and friendly. The to-go was the most recent menu order, i got a blt and e and a. Or was that a and e.? Anyway it was a blt sandwich with avocado and egg. I could have done without the egg honestly. Also could have had a few more bits of lettuce to maintain more crunch. The bacon was good, thick cut bacon and the bread was nice multi grain type. I ordered it with their waffle fries and as usual, by the time I got it hime the fries were cold and soggy. I didn't eat all of them so i pit them at the bottom of the paper to-go bag and was astounded at all the oil that soaked into the bag from them, so I am officially not a fan of fries and thought mabe that was the biggest reason they were so soggy. Usually I get breakfast there and that's where they shine. The variety of choices has something for everyone from healthier choices to traditional eggs potatoes and meat choice. I have usually stick with traditional eggs potatoes and meat. Can't go wrong there. Coffee is exceptional and refills are plentiful if you want them. Syrup has become my go-to place for breakfast with friends or if I am out doing errands in Algonquin. read more

Visited in the summer, sat outside in their tent. Though they had fans blowing, if you were not in direct line with airflow it was stifling hot. At least they tried. I had the Million Dollar Bacon but was more like $2 shoe sweetened leather. My wife had a breakfast burrito and should have been called a soggy wet burrito or just "a mess". Rest of the meals were OK in our party but no one was too impressed. I believe in second chances and everyone is entitled to a mistake or two, so will try again. So far, not impressed. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. The place was pretty busy, but we were seated right away. FYI- they also had outdoor seating available. The place is cute and super white. Came with the fam, so it was a little loud for my liking. Like hard to think and concentrate on the menu loud. Our server Marco was excellent. He was very attentive and checked on us often. I also appreciated that he engaged with the kids. I ordered the Santa Fe Omelette (bacon, tomato, cheddar, chives, avocado, salsa and cream) and it was pretty good and large enough for 2 meals- it came with hash browns and pancakes. Had a fantastic breakfast at Syrup this morning. Came in around 10 on a Saturday and it was busy! Got seated right away. Bloody mary was great!! The limeade was also amazing. Food came out hot and fast.. the healthier option dishes were great French toast was delish!! And the BEST part was the sweet cream syrup that came on the table. Wow. It was the best I've tried. A bit pricey, $60 for 2 people but I say worth it. We left with food and to go cups for our drinks. Will definitely come back, and Karen was great! read more

This is by far the greatest breakfast restaurant that I know. The food is consistently good. Never have I been disappointed with what I ordered. Though the food is good I would say that it has competition in the race for this restaurant's greatest quality. That competition is the service. Everyone is delightful and kind. Furthermore, each waitress I have had knows the menus well and explains everything thoroughly. The food is pretty good. I've been here maybe 6 times now. Staff is wonderful. My husband loves loves LOVES the cinnamon pancakes. The oatmeal has been kinda meh but the fruit is fresh. I have also had the chicken sandwich with fig spread and the chicken was pretty gross. The server was kind to offer a replacement but I just chose to enjoy the fries (they were great). The fig spread was great, could totally see that on a cheese board! My sister had the chicken and waffles and was blown away by how good the seasoning on the strips were. Portions are giant, prices are good for the size of what you get and the creativity of the dishes. I like that they offer specialty alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Their Bloody Mary is great! I thought they were just going to sprinkle crispy crushed bacon bits on top but it's actually pieces of bacon that's not burnt or any of that crumb hard stuff. The good fatty pieces. We stopped in at Syrup on a whim as my husband surprisingly took the day off of work to hang out with us all day. First, I have to mention our server, Michelle... she was amazing. I mean, super amazing. She was fun and sociable and an all around awesome person. The food was great too. My daughter and I ordered the eggs Benedict. My daughter couldn't decide between the Benedict and the Nutella Banana Crepe so we got them both (the Benedict for my daughter and the crepe for the table to share). My husband ordered the Carnivore Skillet and my son ordered the Chicken and Waffles. The Benedict was soooo good and the potatoes were awesome. I don't like Nutella so I didn't eat that but the rest of the family loved it. My husband and my son said their food was top notch. We ordered a scramble and avocado toast. I wish my toast had been a little bit more toasted, it didn't seem like it had been warmed or toasted at all. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good and we asked for them extra crispy. Our drinks were also pretty good. My first experience at eatatSYRUP was also my first visit to a restaurant since COVID-19, so I was a little nervous (we have to be extra careful since we have an immuno-compromised person in our house); I also mentioned this to my waitress, Alicia, who was wonderful!! She let me pick a table farthest from others, and kindly pointed out precautions that the restaurant is taking because of Covid, letting me know that the menus, table side credit card machines, etc. are all sanitized. Alicia did a great job explaining the menu to me, and highlighted all of the food add-ons and special drinks (I MUST go back for the flights!) I asked Alicia for her recommendation, and she steered me toward the Chilaquiles, and I was NOT disappointed!!! Excellent excellent excellent! I'm still trying to decide what my favorite thing was--the chorizo and egg bite, or the bite of black beans and chorizo... And the food was on the table within less than 10 minutes, piping hot!! They lightened and brightened up the inside and gave it a farm house chic facelift and renamed the restaurant. New menu, too. This is still a breakfast and lunch place. But now they close at 2:30 daily just like all the local brunch spots. Came here for breakfast on a Thursday morning and found it busy already. Because of Covid, you need to wear a mask to enter, exit, and when walking around. But, the tables are not social distances very well. Outdoor seating looks just as close together as indoor seating. Maybe come on a quieter morning or come earlier when fewer people are out and about? My friend (trying to eat Keto) ordered a'la cart: one egg, scrambled; sausage patties; and coffee ($3). She liked her meal but thought it pricey for what she got. I ordered the Breakfast Sliders: three mini brioche buns filled with chicken patties, scrambled eggs, Tillamook cheddar cheese, and bacon jam; side of seasoned potatoes. Their iced latte is very delicious but pricy ($4). On a hot summer day you don't always want hot coffee and they don't have iced coffee, only cold brew ($4.50). My meal had great flavor but seems a bit small for the price ($12). We opted for indoor dining and were seated in the front room. Love the sliding barn door on the main opening to the front room. Just feel that the tables were a bit too close together. They definitely do not adhere to 50% dining capacity during COVID-19. My first visit my wife's second visit. Food was delicious. Had the classic breakfast in order to try some of the sides like the billion dollar bacon; which was delicious. The mango, habanero limeade is refreshing with just enough heat - if you like that sort of thing. The potatoes alone could fill you up multiple times. The chipotle maple was good to but a little too subtle in chipotle flavor for me - but no regrets asking for it. Atmosphere a little noisy on an early Sunday morning but but obnoxious. Bright, interesting plant accents at all the tables and in the walls. Our server Lexi was fantastic. Repeated our order to ensure she got it right. Very personable and engaging. It was crowded on a Saturday morning, but we were able to be seated fairly quickly. On the other hand, the service was mediocre. Our server was very short with us and not friendly. We asked her to wipe off our table because it was dirty with coffee stains when we sat down. Her reply was "I know." Additionally, we saw multiple tables get up and plates were cleared, but the table was never wiped before the next guests were seated.
