I find most brunch spots to be pretty similar. With big menus, it is easy to make the food mediocre. Not Syrup! I love the look of this restaurant, like a modern farmhouse. The service was great, everyone was very nice and friendly. I tried the waffle flight and absolutely loved it! I wish more restaurants did flights like this because I always want to try different flavors of things but don't want the full dish. This is perfect for those that just want a sample like myself. The waffle flight comes with 4 mini waffles. My two favorites were the lemon raspberry and the coconut strawberry waffle. The chocolate bacon was a little odd and the brown sugar banana was a bit sweet. But hey, now I know what flavors to get for next time! My friend got the nutella strawberry crepes and they were so good! Overall, I would like to come back and try more of the menu. FYI, we came on a Sunday morning around 9:30 and were able to get seated right away. read more

The skillet was served cold and they hadn't even melted the cheese Potatoes were overcooked Overall very unsatisfying

I am an Uber eats driver. I went today to the restaurant to pick up an order for a customer. Upon arrival I asked for order and they told me it'll be ready soon. After 10 minutes of standing inside and only having customers drink in front of me I asked a lady in front of me how much longer it will be. irritated with me. She told me an extremely hostile tone that the court order came in at certain time and they're still working on it.. So I gently told her not to be hostile with me. And then she got very rude. All after all, I don't think that the lady named Jodi, who is that source manager should work there.. Have you seen in a little bit older of her age she is extremely overwhelmed with work and does not fully comprehend how Uber eats or DoorDash works. As well the restaurant is extremely busy and she is in over her head. At the end, she had told me to never come back there as she tried to wrestle me for my customers drink. Her behavior is highly unprofessional for someone who is supposed to be a store manager for a family restaurant and I think it should be addressed by someone who actually acknowledges today's industry of deliveries as well as how busy your place can be and knows how to speak to everyone instead of telling them to never come back and like a child wrestles delivery driver for a customer drink. What is more hilarious to me is that instead of being brute and highly unprofessional with me if she just went and checked on my order as I kindly asked, she would see just preparing and they were already bringing it out to me. read more

I was out in the "boonies" and found this restaurant. It had good reviews and an interesting menu. It was Saturday almost lunch time. There was a 10 minute wait. Not bad. I was seated and a server came quickly. Three choices I needed to choose between. Loaded potato cakes, Kimmies Favorite and Lemon Mascarpone pancakes. I got the Loaded Potatoes. They were interesting. Personally I would have liked the potatoes crispier. Next time I will try something else. read more

Syrup is your classic, cutesy brunch place. The menu is expansive, so while I found it a little overwhelming, there are plenty of options to keep everyone happy. The decor reminds me of a modern farmhouse, so it is bright and airy, with cutesy (although a little cheesy in my opinion!) decor. It was pretty clean and absolutely bustling on the weekend when my friends and I went. Service was just okay - our server was polite and clearly working hard, but they were so busy that she was kept running around. Once our orders were taken, we didn't see her until it was time to get the check. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong here. I would just recommend getting here early before the weekend brunch rush hits for the best experience. read more

Second time here and we will go again and again, Food was great as was the service. I had to bring half of my breakfast home.

Yesi was my server and she was absolutely amazing. She was SO kind and attentive. The restaurant is very cute and clean. I was seated very quickly. I got the legendary breakfast (2 eggs, bacon, and potatoes, and mini waffles) I upgraded the potatoes to be loaded. The food was AMAZING and the portion was huge. This was the best bacon I ever had! The waffles were soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. The eggs were very flavorful and fluffy. The potatoes were also soooo good, very flavorful, and they had great texture. I didn't get anything to drink but it looked like they had an amazing breakfast bar. In total I paid $19 before tip which was well worth the price!!! read more

Amazing food, very fast service for how busy they can get. Marco our server was absolutely amazing ! Definitely will be back.

Just left Syrup and I don't get the high reviews of this restaurant. The atmosphere was really loud as to where I couldn't hear the person across from me and you're close to other people. There are no booths so the seating is tight. I wish they offered their potatoes and hash browns. Their potatoes were not seasoned so they were not palatable. We also ordered their Billion Dollar Bacon and we did not like it all. It was so greasy, tasted like a burnt bandaid and should've been cooked more. According to the server "it's supposed to be greasy." It was not good at all. Maybe they were having an off day but we won't be going back. read more

The food was delish. My husband and I shared one of the 5 egg omelets, they were huge. My daughter had the french toast that looked amazing. Highly recommend Syrup. read more

Food was phenomenal! Service and atmosphere was quick and friendly. The only thing to add was I had very little flavor in my latte, but otherwise was a great experience. Recommend the loaded potato cakes and sweet honey pancakes 10/10 read more

Visited in the summer, sat outside in their tent. Though they had fans blowing, if you were not in direct line with airflow it was stifling hot. At least they tried. I had the Million Dollar Bacon but was more like $2 shoe sweetened leather. My wife had a breakfast burrito and should have been called a soggy wet burrito or just "a mess". Rest of the meals were OK in our party but no one was too impressed. I believe in second chances and everyone is entitled to a mistake or two, so will try again. So far, not impressed. read more

Everything was top notch! I love that they have grits!!!! Wait time was minimal. Our waiter, Marco, was phenomenal. My Coke Zero was never empty and he was friendly, answered all questions and cleared any empty dishes instantly. He made the meal very enjoyable on top off the great food. read more

This place is a comprehensive review from 4 visits. It is a breakfast brunch restaurant. And 3 visits were breakfast solo or with friends and one was an order to-go. The inside is nice, comfortable booths mostly, some tables with chairs. Bright and clean you check in and wait to be seated and is always been busy when I've visitsd so you know it's good. The service always is good; attentive in the right amount and friendly. The to-go was the most recent menu order, i got a blt and e and a. Or was that a and e.? Anyway it was a blt sandwich with avocado and egg. I could have done without the egg honestly. Also could have had a few more bits of lettuce to maintain more crunch. The bacon was good, thick cut bacon and the bread was nice multi grain type. I ordered it with their waffle fries and as usual, by the time I got it hime the fries were cold and soggy. I didn't eat all of them so i pit them at the bottom of the paper to-go bag and was astounded at all the oil that soaked into the bag from them, so I am officially not a fan of fries and thought mabe that was the biggest reason they were so soggy. Usually I get breakfast there and that's where they shine. The variety of choices has something for everyone from healthier choices to traditional eggs potatoes and meat choice. I have usually stick with traditional eggs potatoes and meat. Can't go wrong there. Coffee is exceptional and refills are plentiful if you want them. Syrup has become my go-to place for breakfast with friends or if I am out doing errands in Algonquin. read more

Tried this place again after a couple of years at the insistence of a friend of mine. Coffee run of yhe mill and somewhat bland. Eggs are very small, cubed potatoes not very tasty, and sausage a little gamey. Service was ok, not great. Cost about the same as nearby restaurants. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. The place was pretty busy, but we were seated right away. FYI- they also had outdoor seating available. The place is cute and super white. Came with the fam, so it was a little loud for my liking. Like hard to think and concentrate on the menu loud. Our server Marco was excellent. He was very attentive and checked on us often. I also appreciated that he engaged with the kids. I ordered the Santa Fe Omelette (bacon, tomato, cheddar, chives, avocado, salsa and cream) and it was pretty good and large enough for 2 meals- it came with hash browns and pancakes. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and I enjoyed it with their special syrup- which has vanilla mixed in. The kids each enjoyed their meals- sliders and fries and the kids chocolate chip pancakes. Overall, I wouldn't mind stopping by again. The breakfast sliders have me intrigued... read more

First time here and I was drawn in right away by the interior design! It's bright and makes you feel wide awake lol I approve of the color scheme :-) I love the simple yet elegant decorations. Gives me Rae Dunn vibes. You have to check in first with a temperature check and then wait in your car and they will text you when you're up next. We got the text right once we got into our car lol We ordered the Mini waffle flight, cluck cluck skillet, and cinnamon rolls pancakes. Being my first time here, I couldn't decide which waffle flavor to go with. The mini waffle flight was perfect! I get to try them all! The chocolate chip bacon was surprisingly good. I thought they were just going to sprinkle crispy crushed bacon bits on top but it's actually pieces of bacon that's not burnt or any of that crumb hard stuff. The good fatty pieces. I would order that again because I honestly enjoyed them all equally. It was delicious inside and out. The cluck cluck was just as good. The chicken is *Chefs kiss* quality. Perfect name for this breakfast place. Their syrup is the stuff. My boyfriend is a syrup snob lol He enjoyed the clear one which I think was straight up sugar lol (But in a light way) He put that on every single bite. Service was awesome. Our server told us the son updated the menu and has been working hard to improve on the place. We're impressed and can't wait to come back. read more

The food is pretty good. I've been here maybe 6 times now. Staff is wonderful. My husband loves loves LOVES the cinnamon pancakes. The oatmeal has been kinda meh but the fruit is fresh. I have also had the chicken sandwich with fig spread and the chicken was pretty gross. The server was kind to offer a replacement but I just chose to enjoy the fries (they were great). The fig spread was great, could totally see that on a cheese board! My sister had the chicken and waffles and was blown away by how good the seasoning on the strips were. Portions are giant, prices are good for the size of what you get and the creativity of the dishes. I like that they offer specialty alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Their Bloody Mary is great! Dining room is always clean and there's plenty of parking. One star off because I still haven't been able to find a dish I like and because that chicken breast was awful. read more

Let me begin by saying I LOVED MY TIME AT SYRUP TODAY! The food was exceptional and so was the server. It began a little tepid though because I had to wait for just being acknowledged that I was there for almost 10 Mins. Then we were sat at the booth and I waited again for almost 12 mins before our server came and asked me if someone was taking care of us. I found that silly, nevertheless, she helped us and took all my order with patience and consideration including an order of warm almond milk! After that it was all awesome and fantastic!! Great place!! Loved it. read more

We stopped in at Syrup on a whim as my husband surprisingly took the day off of work to hang out with us all day. First, I have to mention our server, Michelle... she was amazing. I mean, super amazing. She was fun and sociable and an all around awesome person. The food was great too. My daughter and I ordered the eggs Benedict. My daughter couldn't decide between the Benedict and the Nutella Banana Crepe so we got them both (the Benedict for my daughter and the crepe for the table to share). My husband ordered the Carnivore Skillet and my son ordered the Chicken and Waffles. The Benedict was soooo good and the potatoes were awesome. I don't like Nutella so I didn't eat that but the rest of the family loved it. My husband and my son said their food was top notch. We can't wait to get back to Syrup and we will be asking for Michelle! read more

My first experience at eatatSYRUP was also my first visit to a restaurant since COVID-19, so I was a little nervous (we have to be extra careful since we have an immuno-compromised person in our house); I also mentioned this to my waitress, Alicia, who was wonderful!! She let me pick a table farthest from others, and kindly pointed out precautions that the restaurant is taking because of Covid, letting me know that the menus, table side credit card machines, etc. are all sanitized. Alicia did a great job explaining the menu to me, and highlighted all of the food add-ons and special drinks (I MUST go back for the flights!) I asked Alicia for her recommendation, and she steered me toward the Chilaquiles, and I was NOT disappointed!!! Excellent excellent excellent! I'm still trying to decide what my favorite thing was--the chorizo and egg bite, or the bite of black beans and chorizo... And the food was on the table within less than 10 minutes, piping hot!! I also highly recommend folks sample the billion dollar bacon--BECAUSE BACON!!!--it is thick cut and cooked in a brown sugar spice blend and oh so good!!! Portion sizes to price is extremely fair here, I have enough for dinner (my dish was definitely built for 2 or someone with a hearty appetite!) I've got my leftovers packed up, and Alicia was kind enough to pack a coffee to go for me, and I WILL BE BACK!! read more

I am very impressed by the rebranding this place did. Beautiful decor inside and a nice outdoor setup. This place has a great drink list and a lot of options to choose from for your meal. So many sweet and savory options. The service was just OKAY, but I understand they are all new to this restaurant. It's a really cute place and the service can only go up from here!! *One thing is, my friend ordered a Benedict and the server came out with a different Benedict. He did not fess up that he misheard her and kind of refused to get her the correct item. It was a little annoying and they should have just brought it back to the kitchen and whipped up the actual menu item she ordered. read more

Another new breakfast/brunch place in town? Sort of, but not new. This is the same location and same owners of Colonial Cafe. They lightened and brightened up the inside and gave it a farm house chic facelift and renamed the restaurant. New menu, too. This is still a breakfast and lunch place. But now they close at 2:30 daily just like all the local brunch spots. Came here for breakfast on a Thursday morning and found it busy already. Because of Covid, you need to wear a mask to enter, exit, and when walking around. But, the tables are not social distances very well. Outdoor seating looks just as close together as indoor seating. Maybe come on a quieter morning or come earlier when fewer people are out and about? My friend (trying to eat Keto) ordered a'la cart: one egg, scrambled; sausage patties; and coffee ($3). She liked her meal but thought it pricey for what she got. I ordered the Breakfast Sliders: three mini brioche buns filled with chicken patties, scrambled eggs, Tillamook cheddar cheese, and bacon jam; side of seasoned potatoes. Their iced latte is very delicious but pricy ($4). On a hot summer day you don't always want hot coffee and they don't have iced coffee, only cold brew ($4.50). My meal had great flavor but seems a bit small for the price ($12). We opted for indoor dining and were seated in the front room. Love the sliding barn door on the main opening to the front room. Just feel that the tables were a bit too close together. They definitely do not adhere to 50% dining capacity during COVID-19. Restrooms are clean and have hands free soap and paper towel dispensers. read more
