LET ME BEGIN BY SAYING...... if you read any of my 180+ reviews on this platform, ALMOST all are positive. It takes a lot for me to trash a place...... that what's in store for this review of SUNRISE SOCIAL. This was actually my third visit to this establishment and my LAST! They have been open for months now, so they have had ample time to work out their kinks and yet the service is incredibly SLOW. Yes, you will be seated fairly quickly if not immediately. A server will show up about 5-7 minutes after you are seated to greet you and take a drink order. By the time you place your meal order ( I have only been here on Sundays for breakfast) . It will take a MINIMUM of ONE HOUR to receive your food from the time you place the order, and yes this has occurred each of the three times I have come here. Not all the food comes out right away, your pancakes or English muffins will eventually make the way to your table after you are about half way done with your meal. (Occurred on every visit) Drink refills? My second visit, never got them! Even though we asked for them from OTHER servers since ours seemingly disappeared from her shift (again that was on the second visit) . Going back to today's third and final visit.... after the hour and thirty five minutes we were there, we went up to the front to pay. We hand the cashier our check, and my friend is waiting to pay with a credit card. The cashier opens the register and tries to give her change- as in cash back. My friend said, " We didn't pay yet..... I'm paying with a credit card." I see the total on the screen facing us, we tell her how much our check is. She seems flustered and can't figure out which end is up so she calls another young girl over who just stands by. Finally, a male manager comes over and is tinkering with the computer and gives us our total so my friend can pay. This entire process was another 15 minutes. They say third time is a charm, but each time I have been the fool for going back. I also took the opportunity to email the GM to make her aware of this experience, ordeal, nightmare whatever you choose to call it. My family and I went on Labor Day, so the placer was pretty packed even at 1130. They told us we would have a 20-25 minute wait, but we were seated in 5. Our server was nice, and took our drink orders right away. After 10 minutes we placed our order but after waiting almost 40 minutes for our food- 2 eggs and bacon kids meal, chicken fried steak, a create your own omelette, and sunrise scrambler- we were told they were out of chicken fried steak. We changed up the order to a skillet and continued to wait for another 15-20 minutes. The food was okay. The pancakes were good, otherwise, nothing else stood out or was overly impressive. We did think the potatoes were on salty the side. The place looked clean and new- I can't recall what it was previously but it was our first time in the building... When it came to the bill- we were overcharged for the omelette but that was quickly rectified... I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. The waitress was not good. I ordered the bread toasted it came not toasted. I ordered lettuce, I got a 1" piece of lettuce, literally! She never came back to ask us if everything was ok and our drinks were never refilled. We waited and waited for our bill but I had to get up and ask for the bill and some containers for the leftover food. I tipped her against my better judgement. The food was okay. Ordered a waffle that was dry but the worst was the strawberry glaze. It was truly rancid. The excuse from staff that they have had a lot of complaints since using g a new vendor. So... you keep serving it? That is the easiest thing to make if you had to replace it. Or don't offer it because I was asked specifically if I would like strawberry glaze. Sooo grossed out. Never again. My mistake. Should have gone over to Benedict's where everything is so delicious:) read more

We went there for Mothers Day. They normally do not take reservations. When we got there we were told they were not taking any walkins. They said they had over 600 reservations. What they should have done is taken less reservations to allow for their usual walk in customers. Very disappointing. We won't be back. read more

Food - was amazing. Everything that we ordered was great. Drinks are amazing as well. I ordered an iced mocha, porto Bennie with a side of strawberry banana crepe. Iced mocha was average. But my brother tells me the cold pressed juices were great. My porto benny was amazing. It was a portobello mushroom base (instead of an English muffin), topped with goat cheese, asparagus (which adds crunch to the whole thing), poached eggs and of course hollandaise sauce. Flavors went really well together. My crepe was not too sweet and crepe was made to perfection. Although the drizzle is enough to also not add syrup. Service - good and bad. Server checked in and updated us quite frequently. However, between getting seated to us getting our food, we had to wait more than an hour. And we didn't long ordering at all. Ambiance - casual which is expected. Space is great, plenty of tables and booths. For a Sunday and coming in with a group of 3, we thankfully only had to wait about 10 minutes. I went with a large group of women. The menu is huge and we were provided with separate checks. I had the salmon BLT and loved it. About half the group had lunch and half the group had breakfast. My food arrived as ordered and the service was timely. I will return. read more

Came here for Mother's Day brunch. It was decent! The service was good. Employees were friendly. The restaurant itself is kind of tight, not real big, and the parking lot is small! I thought sunrise social was ok. I had the portebella mushrooms with egg whites and cottage cheese. Thr mushrooms were super thick, like a steak and very flavorful. The latte was ok. The toast was hard like a crouton, however. Compared to other breakfast spots in the area, I feel like sunrise social is mediocre. We went for Mother's Day Brunch and we were pleasantly surprised! The previous year we went somewhere else and it was disappointing. This brunch was extensive, excellent value and they didn't charge adult prices for kids which was appreciated. Family owned and staffed. We loved it. Food was plentiful and delicious!!! read more

Went to an Easter brunch, which was $40 a plate. They had an omelette section with prime rib. That was very chewy. We had seven people. Only two ate off of the buffet. Everyone else just had an omelette. And the bill came to $393. They automatically charged a 30% gratuity and the food was not that great. read more

This is the second time we were here for breakfast. The first time we were there, the server forgot to put my order in and I never received breakfast. This time my breakfast came out with sausage that I never ordered and then charged me for them. We also ordered a couple of bowels of soup (chicken noodle and beef barley) and they were soo spicey we couldn't finish them. Finally, the floor in the restaurant was filthy. 3rd visit here. While I appreciate the senior discount, it's not enough to bring me back. Today our visit started with the strong smell of disinfectant. One side of the restaurant was being mopped with a strong cleaner. I appreciate the effort of keeping things clean, but maybe perform this task at or after closing so the smell doesn't take over. Placed our order but never got our coffee. Had to ask hostess for some. Food was ok. Toast was cold and hard. But did appreciate the high quality jelly selection. Rest of order barely warm. Hash browns brown on top, but underneath was raw, again only warm.
