The 4 piece 4 PC Jumbo Fingers Insanely small not even enough for a toddler this cost me $22.43 what a robbery

Horrible service I ordered the 4 piece jumbo tenders and they gave me bite sized pieces that are even hollow which wound not make a toddler full and it cost me about $23

We've all read about the supposed "chicken wars" between the major fast-food chains. There's a new entrant, and without a doubt, they are the sure winner! Byrd's Hot Chicken, a mini-chain with locations in SoCal and Chicago, does one thing and does it well, chicken sandwiches, in your choice of heat level, ranging from none to so super it will make you sweat say some. The sandwiches are very crispy fried tenders on a nicely toasted bun, topped with pickles and slaw, and is that garlic aioli? (Tenders can also be ordered bunless or in a bowl-type meal. I tried two variations of the sandwich, no-spice, and medium, and the heat on the spice version does come with each bite, but more than that, it stays with you, pleasantly. It's the chicken itself that has the spice, it's not just in a spread like the one big chain. Crinkle-cut fries were my choice of side along with the ultra-creamy slaw. The fries, like the chicken, were perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. A ramekin of slightly spicy dipping sauce is included. Such a nice chain from the ubiquitous ranch most places insist on serving. Coca-cola products on tap, including Dole Lemonade, which was a nice complement to the spice. I was struck by the immaculateness of the restaurant, and the meticulous nature of prep and packaging as I watched the extremely cheerful and polite employees serve us. Byrd's will be my chicken of choice going forward. No question.

The place had a good vibe. I liked the openness because of double ceiling. Less is more is what I felt with the decor. The chicken sandwich was hugeeee!! Probably I was the most messy with a dripping sauce I used for my sandwich. The buns were fresh and buttery. The hot breaded chicken was nice n crunchy. I didn't take super hot, but I think I could've handled it just fine. Fries were alright! The seasoning was good but felt overall dry. With a dipping sauce or cheese sauce would've gone nice with it. The lady server was extremely polite. Probably one of the courteous personnel I have met in food industry. The owner I felt was rude at one moment and then came by my table to ask how the food was. So I guess he did good. I guess the owner was an Indian, was stereotyping me. Overall a positive experience!

A new chicken place where the previous chicken place was. This one is Nashville Hot chicken. Enter through the revolving doors and walk up to the counter. There are large tv-like screens for the menu and also laminated menus on the counter where you place your order. Easy to order as there are only three items plus a kids menu. Chicken is ordered to your heat level: mild, medium, or hot. Their mild still has a little heat. Came with a friend who ordered a sandwich. She gave me a bite of the chicken. So juicy, tender and full of flavor. Not as sweet as I'm used to at other Nashville Hot chicken restaurants, but still very delicious. Same footprint dining area as when it was Peri Peri's.

We love Nashville fried chicken. And this place doesn't disappoint. Everything if freshly made and the staff was super nice . They recommended the sandwich, bomb and donut and we tried the first two. The bomb is great but definitely heavy. Super hot chicken tender is tasty - we love spicy food and would definitely be back. The place is clean , not super busy on the weekday night.

Came here for lunch and ordered a few things on the menu. For the most part everything seemed pretty fresh but think some of the items weren't cooked long enough. The flavors were pretty good tho, if you're ever in the mood for some fried chicken this is the spot!

Great service and outstanding food. It's truly a must try. Food doesn't take long after you order it. If you are in the Algonquin area pls go here

A friend and I were in the neighborhood and we tried this place. It is tucked away but when you enter it is a beautiful restaurant. I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The chicken and fires were made to order. My heat level was medium. The sandwich was very juicy the only thing I would change next time I would get a plain chicken sandwich instead of medium heat level. The coleslaw was ok and the fries were good. I would try it again.

Sunday "Father's Day... Worst Restaurant Experience!…read moreMy son and grandson wanted to take me out for a Father's Day lunch and we chose The Chick and the Pig since we never ate there. We got there around 12:30, ordered our food by phone (because there is no wait staff other than a bar tender), pay for the food via phone, and waited a hour only to be told that there was no food left. Customers that came in after us had ordered and ate but not us. Finally my son went up to the kitchen window to ask why we didn't get our food. The kitchen staff told my son "We ran out of food". One would figure that there would have been some type of announcement made instead of leaving us and some other customers hanging but, nobody said a peep. This was the worst experience we've ever had at any restaurant! How can this place even operate without a wait staff and run out of food soon after it opened for the day. It simply was not busy enough to run out of food. Seems to me that the underlying problem is the owner and management. One thing I do know is that I will never go to this restaurant again nor their other restaurant Bold American Fare. Thanks Chick and the Pig for leaving us hungry and for giving us a very bad experience on Father's Day!!

I had no lunch plans and I knew exactly what I wanted for lunch. I arrive and the girl at the counter was having a bad day and I could tell. She avoided all any eye contact with me, she did not want to engage in any small talk and she was there to receive a pay check and that was that. Ok fine, I get it we all have bad days, just get me my food then. I ask her "how spicy is the spicy check wings?" So goes, "they are alright spicy." WTF, I'm giving a puzzling look and I'm not sure how to respond to that statement but whatever, I get it your cat died, your bf just broke up with you, your car insurance just went up 5%, sure I get it. I place an order for the spicy chicken wings and I wait. I take in the ambiance and it's a great place to chill and grab some bubble tea and lunch. I wait about ten mins and my wings are ready! When I walked up to get my wings I noticed there was some mochinut and I had to get some! I get three flavors, strawberry, taro, and green tea and then I head home to sample the food with my family. First up were the wings, they were scary looking but in a spicy kind of way. Was my stomach and whatever after comes after ready for these wings? I sure hope so! So I went in for my first bite and I was pleasantly surprised. The wings were super good! The flavoring and everything was fire, flame, hit the spot good. And the spice level was 'alright' (see what I did there?), it had a kick but nothing that my kids couldn't handle. My wife enjoyed the wings as well and she said they were good. I'm glad I stopped by and got the fried chicken wings to try because they were amazingly delicious and I'll be back for more. I finished off my lunch and tried some mochinut and they were good as well and you don't have any complaints from me on the food. The service on the other hand, get a new girl who wants to come to work and put on a smile. Like I said I understand we all have bad days but for me to write it in my review it must have been really bad. Great job on the food Cloud Tea. Happy to have you guys in the area and keep up the good food. You've earned your 4 start review.

I get the sense that I'll be a repeat customer after having just such an experience. Aside from the smile, I saw a restaurant that's clean and inviting. But that only covers me walking in the door. Let me just jump to the food. I got 20 wings, bone in, breaded. They were made fresh and handed over steaming hot in an aluminum tray (they were meaty and delicious). I also got a cheeseburger, which was just loaded with toppings in the best way; nothing fancy, just a burger that you can't put down, half because it's so good, half because it's best to keep it all contained in your hands. It's great to see this restaurant here and I look forward to stopping in again soon to try even more options.

A Disastrous Dining Experience…read more After months of anticipation, the grand opening finally arrived. Eager to experience the hype, my family and I placed an order, expecting a culinary adventure to rival the best Chicago has to offer. Unfortunately, our dining experience quickly turned into a nightmare. The first red flag was the missing items from our order. Despite being ordered directly from their website, these items weren't simply overlooked, they knew they didn't have any suggesting a lack of attention to detail and potentially poor organization within the restaurant. However, the most alarming issue was the under-cooked food. The bone-in chicken was served raw and bloody, posing a serious health risk. It was a shocking oversight that could have had dire consequences. Even the boneless wings, which should have been a safer option, contained bone fragments large enough to cause injury. The flavor profile of the dishes was equally disappointing. The mac and cheese, a comfort food staple, was bland and lacked any discernible seasoning. In fact, most of the food seemed under-seasoned, leaving a muted and unsatisfying taste. It's disheartening to witness a new restaurant with such potential fall short in such a fundamental way. While I understand the challenges of opening a new business, it's crucial to prioritize food safety and quality. Serving under-cooked food is not only unacceptable but also dangerous. I hope that this restaurant takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary changes to improve their food preparation and service. It's essential to invest in proper training for kitchen staff and establish rigorous quality control measures. As a customer, I expect to receive food that is not only safe but also delicious. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I urge others to exercise caution when considering dining here until they can consistently deliver a quality product.
