Eggville sounded appetizing online but the entire experience from start to finish sucked. The place has a very generic IHOP vibe, and the crowd is mostly seniors. It wasn't very crowded yet service was slow. Our server, Patricia, was extremely short with us, and had an attitude from the very start. The food was not much better. The coffee was watered down, they were out of almond milk, and their latte machine was broken. My Dad's scramble was dry as a bone, and my Tuna Melt was burnt to a crisp, with 2 slices of uncooked Kraft Cheese. Mine came with chicken noodle soup which was watery. My Dad's pancake was the only decent item. They finally took my sandwich off the bill, but that doesn't excuse the nasty food and even nastier service. read more

Went for breakfast today to that place. Just wanna share my experience. I ordered omelette Meat Lovers. Hash browns made from frozen stack. Egg omelette overcooked. By the color I assume cheapest eggs from nearby store. Sausage represented by cut down breakfast links from nearby store, just like the hash browns. Not salted at all. Is this you want to try? This is a great little breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in Cary. The staff is friendly and helpful & the food is so good. Portions are generous so come hungry. My kids really enjoyed the hot chocolate & the server gave them special attention which they appreciated so in turn so did I! The set up is lots of booths and tables. I'll get right to the reason it's four not five stars. The first bacon was not only burnt it was totally crunchy and stupid over done. I thought I'd taste it and definitely inedible. Why any cook/chef would put this on a plate, I don't know....That said it was replaced upon request and obviously you can see from The pictures much more edible and all I had to say was, "i like my bacon slightly crispy, but not like this. " (i did not originally ask for it crispy either). So the reason for the 4 stars that would have been 5. Service was great. Seated promptly. Waitress was around when she need to be and replaced the bacon. Coffee was offered for refill every so often and i must have had 2 cups(which at 2.50 I'd expect.) I could have had more, just didn't want it. I got the "handable," Ciabatta roll w scrambled egg BaCON and cheese with hash browns. The roll was good but maybe coulda been toasted, the eggs and cheese fine, coulda been a tad warmer, and the hash browns were yummy, golden brown mostly. I have noticed all over that hash browns are usually cooked well in top but coulda been flipped to get that brown on both sides, but still.. ate them all, can't really complain, just being picky. Decor was clean and pleasant, kinda farmer elcectic. Overall I'd go back.. and recommend..and I love the giant chicken outside.lol read more

Food here is pretty good. My wife and I were in the neighborhood and decided to give place a try. Place is clean and accommodating and wait staff is very attentive and thoughtful. Our breakfast dishes were really good, but the portion were on the small size compared to the price. Ambiance was pretty typical for breakfast joint. Much better food than the previous owner! But your regular coffee is still horrible. I need to buy an Americano when I'm there just donut tastes like coffee and I don't appreciate having to pay that much just to get a somewhat enjoyable cup. Was in on a Sunday mid morning and the place was very busy. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes, thankfully. I ordered a skillet and it didn't come out correctly, but the server ended up noticing I was picking out my mushrooms (I ordered no mushrooms) and the manager came and apologized and removed the order from my bill, along with asking me to if I want a replacement. It was a great gesture considering I had to pick out the mushrooms. I didn't take her offer on another plate, as I picked them out and hate wasting food. The atmosphere was nice, family style restaurant. They have gourmet coffees, any kind of coffee you want, they can make. Great selection of food and it came out in decent time. I was in Cary yesterday and had time to kill. I hadn't eaten yet and it was a little after 1:30 when I came upon this restaurant. They close at 2:00 so I asked if it was too late to order but they said no. I ended up ordering their crispy fried chicken sandwich and I was pleasantly surprised. It was by far the best fried chicken sandwich I have had and I have at a lot. Very nice service. read more

Worst part was an undisclosed 4% fee added to the bill when I paid with a credit card. Hostess was to busy to make a simple hello, waitress was not so social. Used the ladies room and really can't afford a 10$ piece to hold the toilet paper it was on the shelf. Food was bland no flavor, looked like it sat in window eggs were like rubber. Toast was burnt and cold, overall not a pleasant experience will not be going back. read more

Moved here from the east coast two years ago roughly and in Jersey diners are everywhere. They aren't largely any good though as a rule. We noticed there in this area there are tons of breakfast places instead with cute and cool names so we have tried quite a few. Some of the more pretentious places that try and become super fancy with ridiculous items on the menu weren't actually good, turns out this little local place is mostly better than most we have tried, we tend to go here for breakfast most of the time. I get the Irish Benny (Corned Beef Hash Benedict) and the regular benedict and it's always been very good. Hash browns are sometimes a little too crispy according to guests I have brought there but I like them. Just consistent and friendly and I've never had a bad meal there. One criticism that I hear from a lot of people I take there is that the Country Fried Steak (it's insanely good) cannot be ordered without a full meal. We always order it and people just share it but you have to get eggs and pancakes with it so if you want that by itself you have to waste those items. When we came in, there was no one to seat us and we waited about 5 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. The food is not great. Scrambled eggs were served barely warm and overcooked and no flavor. This is yet another one of those restaurants that start cleaning while guests are still dining. Nothing says "get out" more than that! The busboy can barely wait for you to leave the table before he pounces on it. The waitress we had was less than friendly, and was more interested in getting us out of there then making us feel welcome. (Note: She has served our table in the past, and unfortunately that experience has been consistently so.) Have been there about six times and never feel welcome. As this seems to be consistent, not sure if we'll go back. The owner needs to take a good look at their wait staff and closing practices, and learn the meaning of gracious hospitality. read more

This is your standard breakfast/brunch place. Things my wife and I enjoyed were the fact that there was little to no wait to be seated for the two of us. The wait staff was attentive and clean along with the atmosphere. This place changed owners about 6 months ago and the old version needed updates. That's just what the new owners did! We both agreed that we'd have no problem bringing our 5 kids with next time. Though, the store itself is a bit small. I got the Meat Lovers Skillet which was just fine, nothing bad or "wow" about it. My wife got the Spinach & Feta Omelet and was pleased with it. Serving sizes were large and filling. One of the better things about this place was the pricing. It has to be one of the cheaper bills i've paid for a good breakfast. I recommend this place as a good family restaurant in the area. read more

The food is great and all of the staff is very nice and helpful. We try and alway sit in Lola's area because she is so much fun. She is old and a little slow but she makes up for it with her great sense of humor. Come in soon because she is always wearing her Halloween costume! read more

Chicago family jut had a sleepover here in Carey and we were very impressed and pleased with our Eggville breakfast order. We had a skillet, omelet, eggs over easy with sausage, plenty of pancakes, cream of chicken soup, biscuits and gravy, and country fried steak and eggs. So delicious! We ordered almost everything and it was all spot-on. All of this was ~$70 and fed all 10 of us (5 adults and 5 teens). Definitely recommend Eggville to anyone on the general area. We have lived within 7 miles of this place and never stopped in until this morning. I am sad to admit that we waited far to long to stop in because we really enjoyed our breakfast and the nice clean and organized interior. My wife and I enjoy our coffee and Restaurants seem to take short cuts in this area but we enjoyed the fresh flavor and our cups never got empty. Been a resident in the area for many years, the previous owners, back when it was known under a different name, made it a very "luke warm" experience. I must say that under the new ownership and name, Eggville has become one of my favorite "go-to" breakfast joints in the area and is steadily becoming a community staple. Not just because of their food (which is great) but also because of their outreach in the community with donations as well as how friendly the owners and staff are! The quality of food, the portions, and the presentation are great! I look forward to many more mornings and afternoons here in the coming years! read more

not impressed by customer service at all. twice now, we have ordered for delivery in DoorDash, and both times they have messed up our order, by not adding one of the two meals we order! ridiculous i would say, especially because i'm paying extra for delivery. so i call, the owner John answers the phone, asking how he can help. we explained our situation (we currently have COVID and do NOT want to risk others, that's why we used DoorDash to begin with), he then encouraged us to come PICKUP another order, despite us telling him more than once we have COVID, and don't wish to do that. all is he refunding me for is the meal they forgot. not pleased one bit. sad. read more
