The kaseria was flavorful and well prepared, with a nice balance of ingredients that made it satisfying without being too heavy. The panini was equally enjoyable--crispy on the outside, fresh on the inside, and served hot, just the way it should be.The pancake was good The coffee deserves a special mention. It was rich, smooth, and complemented the brunch perfectly. Even with the café being busy, the service was efficient and the staff managed things well, keeping everything moving without long waits. I was there on Easter Sunday with my family enjoying my (delicious) meal when we heard some commotion at a nearby table. The commotion was coming from a server who seemed to be having some sort of informal meeting with upper management. The server was basically yelling at upper management and being very rude. I don't even think upper management was able to get a word in. Since I'm always here with family, I know one of the managers on a first name basis (Eric). Eric is such a kind and helpful employee. He was one of the individuals being yelled at by this server. I'm not sure the other managers name but she had dark hair. They did a great job handling the very uncomfortable situation. I felt so bad for both of them having to deal with this situation on top of a holiday weekend. Besides the managers handling this situation with such grace, everything else was awesome! A hostess will seat you with menus and flatware wrapped in a napkin. Salt, pepper, sugar, creamer, jelly, syrup, ketchup and hot sauces are on the table. One side of the menu is breakfast, the other lunch. We were asked right away if we would like coffee. The staff here are all very nice and welcoming. Different members of staff came around to all tables several times during our stay refilling coffees as needed. Our waitress checked in on us a couple of times and actually stopped at the table to be sure we had all we needed, not just running past. We both ordered breakfast and the portions are generous. I had the Irish Bene and they don't skimp on the smoked salmon! The eggs were poached well, a generous amount of spinach and the potato pancake is tasty and light. I very much enjoyed their coffee. Recently though, I went in and noticed that they do the what I call "the Covid excuse" of charging a percentage of using a credit card. I understand and get that a lot of these business establishments are doing it. However, 3 Brothers is charging this fee when using a debit card. When I went there today, I saw that sign and I asked the one gentleman who I believe might be the owner if that fee app applies to debit cards. He told me that the cash register/card swipe just does what it does which I know is BS. The lady walked up and asked me if there was an issue and I believe her to perhaps be his wife. I told the both of them that federally it's illegal to charge a percentage when it's a debit card. When I told her that she advised that there's ATM in the corner when I told her I'm not interested and I left. I'm not trying to create any sort of havoc for this family business. However, I don't appreciate as a longtime customer to be taken advantage of. If you look at the Attorney General of Illinois website it'll explain the charging the fee for a debit card is federally illegal. Until this restaurant changes its ways I'm not going there.
