The Meat Lovers Skillet
Steven J.

Eggville sounded appetizing online but the entire experience from start to finish sucked. The place has a very generic IHOP vibe, and the crowd is mostly seniors. It wasn't very crowded yet service was slow. Our server, Patricia, was extremely short with us, and had an attitude from the very start. The food was not much better. The coffee was watered down, they were out of almond milk, and their latte machine was broken. My Dad's scramble was dry as a bone, and my Tuna Melt was burnt to a crisp, with 2 slices of uncooked Kraft Cheese. Mine came with chicken noodle soup which was watery. My Dad's pancake was the only decent item. They finally took my sandwich off the bill, but that doesn't excuse the nasty food and even nastier service.

My breakfast was fine but wasn't anything special there really wasn't any flavor to my meat lovers skillet. The potatoes weren't tender kind of hard like they weren't done. My granddaughter's Mickey Mouse pancakes were made cute. Our waitress was fine but really didn't come back to see if we needed anything. The bacon was pretty well done!

I'll get right to the reason it's four not five stars. The first bacon was not only burnt it was totally crunchy and stupid over done. I thought I'd taste it and definitely inedible. Why any cook/chef would put this on a plate, I don't know....That said it was replaced upon request and obviously you can see from The pictures much more edible and all I had to say was, "i like my bacon slightly crispy, but not like this. " (i did not originally ask for it crispy either). So the reason for the 4 stars that would have been 5. Service was great. Seated promptly. Waitress was around when she need to be and replaced the bacon. Coffee was offered for refill every so often and i must have had 2 cups(which at 2.50 I'd expect.) I could have had more, just didn't want it. I got the "handable," Ciabatta roll w scrambled egg BaCON and cheese with hash browns. The roll was good but maybe coulda been toasted, the eggs and cheese fine, coulda been a tad warmer, and the hash browns were yummy, golden brown mostly. I have noticed all over that hash browns are usually cooked well in top but coulda been flipped to get that brown on both sides, but still.. ate them all, can't really complain, just being picky. Decor was clean and pleasant, kinda farmer elcectic. Overall I'd go back.. and recommend..and I love the giant chicken outside.lol

Definitely the best breakfast place to go. The inside has been completely remodeled. The staff is so friendly and very prompt in serving.

Just a basic breakfast with nothing special. Service was ok but not as fast as most breakfast restaurants. Many better places than here

He picked the French onion soup and for 99 cents more you can get it baked... so he did. He loved the soup and would definitely order that again. He didn't really care for the taste of the sauce and the texture of the chicken. He would order something else next time. It was supposed to come with bread but we had to ask for it. I ordered the 2 pancakes with 2 eggs over easy. It was delicious and I would order it again. All the desserts look so delicious. We ordered a square of chocolate peanut butter fudge but it was not very good. Definitely don't recommend it. It was sweet and rich and could have used a little sea salt sprinkled on the top. Definitely did not taste like peanut butter... maybe more of a maple syrupy taste. We will be back again. They have special senior daily dinners too for people over 65 so if you're a senior you may want to dine here. Our waitress was kind and kept asking us if we needed anything. Definitely love the service here! The ambiance is very relaxing. We dined here around 8pm and the lights were dim and it was very comfortable. A perfect place to have dinner and talk.

A bit too far from the crib for casual visits, but worth my recommendation. Eat here.

We dined in the windmill, our own space, which gave the vibe a more personal and romantic vibe. We were given a suggestion to write on the walls, as it was already filled with others love notes & memories. It which was so neat and made our dinner experience feel adventurous. The server, I believe her name was April, was very sweet and attentive. She surprised us with a dessert that had a sparkling candle , resembling a sparkler firework. Our faces lit up with excitement as the server happily took pictures for us. It was definitely the perfect final touch to our dining experience. With curiosity of wanting to know more about this restaurant, we asked questions about the history and back story. The lady that helped us, gave us the opportunity to take a quick tour, with information that allowed us to feel more connected to and appreciative of this business. My husband and I left full & satisfied with confidence that this place is our new favorite spot for any special occasion.

The café was quite busy when we arrived but we had reservations, so got the seating quickly to which clearly shows how popular this place is among locals. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere felt lively rather than overwhelming. For food, we ordered the Kaseria and a panini, and both dishes were really good. The kaseria was flavorful and well prepared, with a nice balance of ingredients that made it satisfying without being too heavy. The panini was equally enjoyable--crispy on the outside, fresh on the inside, and served hot, just the way it should be.The pancake was good The coffee deserves a special mention. It was rich, smooth, and complemented the brunch perfectly. Even with the café being busy, the service was efficient and the staff managed things well, keeping everything moving without long waits. Overall, Brunch Cafe is a great spot for a weekend brunch. Good food, quality coffee, and a lively atmosphere make it worth the visit. I would definitely come back again to try more items from their menu.

The ambiance strikes a perfect balance with dim, intimate lighting and a clean, modern presentation. It feels polished without being stiff, refined but still welcoming. Most importantly, it delivers where it counts, on the plate. We started with the lamb lollipops, cooked precisely to temperature and finished with crushed pistachios, pomegranate, and a rich demi-glace. Each bite delivered depth, brightness, and texture. The Dungeness crab croquettes were equally impressive, crispy on the outside with a delicate, herbaceous interior. Rich, but never heavy. The French onion soup is an experience in itself, served in a hollowed onion. Bold, deeply savory, and incredibly comforting. Service elevated the night even further. Our server, Karra, asked if we'd sharing and had the kitchen split our entrées into individual portions, a thoughtful touch. The steak arrived perfectly cooked, and exactly as ordered. We finished with the English sticky toffee pudding, warm, gooey, and unapologetically decadent. Montarra doesn't chase trends. It executes upscale dining with precision, care, and genuine hospitality. That is exactly why it stands out, and why I'll keep coming back. Go experience it for yourself.
