We have eaten at Dave's a few times. Food is tasty (my hubby always orders the chicken and I order the not-chicken). The not-chicken (cauliflower) is really good, especially at a hot spice level. Employees are usually very friendly and the place is always clean (sometimes it's a little sticky by the pop machine, but that is to be expected). My only complaint is that they need to crank the a/c in the summer because it gets very hot in there. Eating hot wings in a sauna is crazy. read more

When you arrive place an order and then once you order find a seat they will call your number so you can pickup at front desk. The food was incredible seriously, so flavorful. I ordered the tenders hot level spicy, and they weren't kidding about the heat. It had a nice kick, but it was totally manageable and so tasty. I also grabbed a Hi-C fruit punch Icee a perfect sweet and refreshing treat. And the cheese fries? Don't even get me started! They were amazing. Dang it, I didn't want to like Dave's but I do. Thought it would be a pricey gimmick but it is actually a great value! Plus everyone from the drive thru and pickup have been really nice! I've visited thinking that I would be able to point and say "Ahaa'! But instead I said "mm hmm" I don't really challenge myself with the hottest spice levels because I'm hungry and just want to inhale what I order. I think medium is perfect. Their tenders are fat, like half a chicken breast fat. If you get sliders, they'll basically put a giant tender into it. 10 piece bites are better than any competitor's nuggets, and only 7.99. Remember our historical chicken sandwich wars? I think these sliders would give fast food chains a run for their money. Decent mac & cheese, good crinkle cuts, good slaw. Good sauces! Wanted to try Dave's hot for a while, finally got over here for late lunch today. Service staff were very nice and helpful. Got a slider and tender meal, and a med drink. Was just about 15 bucks. For the size of the tenders and sandwich this is reasonable, the tender is huge. Ordered them both "hot" good thing I didn't go any hotter, these have a kick for sure, good spice level for me, if you can't handle any heat don't go any more than medium for sure. I enjoyed all the food, it came out hot crispy and very fresh, the portions were more than good, I will be coming back. The only negative was that the tables were dirty, and had to ask for napkins because lobby napkins were all empty. A bit more attention to the lobby would make a big difference here. Nice to see, now the are cleaning the lobby. I would put Dave's just below Fry the coop, only because they do the beef tallow frying which is better and coops Fry's are better, imo. read more

BEWARE of the reaper!! Went to Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time after having heard about it on social media. We ordered 4 tenders (mild, medium, hot, and reaper spice levels) with fries and drinks. They make you sign a waiver for the reaper spice level because of the spice and potential associated reactions from that. Fair enough. We sat at a table with a pager, and it went off relatively soon after getting our drinks and getting settled. We tried the tenders from least amount of spice to most amount of spice. After getting through the first three, we were pretty set on medium being our favorite. It has a nice kick without being overbearing, whereas mild just seemed salty and hot was unpleasantly spicy. Additionally, the fries are seasoned perfectly!! You can get cheese sauce on the side to dip them in, and it is heavenly. Finally, it was time to try the reaper. The spice comes from the Carolina reaper, aka the hottest pepper, so we knew it was going to be hot. We pinched off a tiny piece of the tender and tried it. Upon hitting your tongue, there's a single second of doubt and you think "huh, maybe this isn't so bad." In the next second, your taste buds are smacked with an overbearing amount of spicy heat that crescendos the longer is it in your mouth. You can even feel the heat down your esophagus and into your stomach when you swallow it. There is nothing that can prepare you for that amount of heat, nor could I ever see that as being enjoyable. It has no business being on the menu in my opinion. If you do dare to try the reaper, I would have some tums and ice cream or milk ready to go. All this to say, everything besides the reaper was great. Would definitely recommend the medium spicy level tenders and the fries with cheese sauce. read more

The food was very good, however I believe than in my combo I received one mild as I order and one that seemed to have more heat on it. The service was very bad. After ordering my food at 9:04 I did not receive my order until 9:50. I only received my order after about 10 people who ordered after me had already eaten all their food and left, as-well as me going up to them asking where my food is at twice. On the second time I asked for a refund and they magically had my food ready. The ambiance would have been better if I hadn't been waiting for my food for so long. read more

It's a different chicken sandwich than the others out there, so the sheer adventure of it should draw you in. We tried the 2 slider and fries option and we had split opinions. My wife had the medium level and I had the hot... and let me tell you, the hot was too hot for me! The fries were small for two to share and for the price I would have expected more. They were good though and lightly fried with a nice crisp to them. Lastly, the wait at the drive thru was a little long, but I could tell that they were filling a bunch of delivery orders, so I was patient. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. We both got 2 sliders. I got it with cheese and one with medium spice and one with mild spice. For someone's who's not huge on spice, they both were enjoyable for me and not overbearing. The sliders come with slaw, and daves sauce inside, plus some pickles, cheese is an additonal cost. I'd definitely recommend it with cheese. For my side, I got the Mac & Cheese. My husband recently took home Dave's hot chicken nuggets and cauliflower with fries. I was surprised that the chicken was both crispy on the outside and how tender inside. Chicken was crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Was served with decent crinkle cut fries with a little seasoning on them, fried just right! Also came with Dave's sauce that is very similar to most places "comeback" sauce, was very good. Came on top of piece of white bread and some really delicous thick cut pickles! I had spice level of hot and made me sweat a little, was a good thing. May take a while to get your food if they are busy, but is worth the wait while the bird experts in the kitchen makes your food to order! The beeper went off pretty quickly that the food was ready. Fries have a tasty seasoning sprinkled on. The pickle slices are crunchy and slightly sour. The chicken was tender and really good. Fries too. My teen had the Mac and cheese and liked it. I ended up ordering the two sliders with fries. The fries are very good and seasoned really good (I'm not really a seasoned fry guy) but they were great. As for the sliders they to were great. I ordered one hot and one xtra hot , I ate the hot one first AND LET ME TELL YOU it was hot , probably on the limit of my hot tolerance. But it had a really good hot taste . The second one was xtra hot and as expected it was too hot for my liking but that's my preference and by no means a minus on the establishment. The sauce they give you is okay and I couldn't really taste it with the spice on the slider. They do put a tablespoon of coleslaw and some pickles on the sandwiches which helps with easing the heat If you like a good Nashville hot chicken sandwich this is a good place to go. read more
