They do have a nice sign so it's easy to see the location, but they really could use some type of signage on the windows. They have booth and both high and low tables. They have lots of televisions and plenty of seating! We were seated right away in a booth that could easily fit six people. They have an app where if you spend $100 to get $10 off and also special offers. We ordered / shared 20 traditional wings. 10 dry rub lemon pepper, 5 wet garlic Parmesan, and 5 dry blue cheese. They were amazing! The bones were so hot, it was almost too hot to handle temperature wise. The flavor was perfect and the texture was on point! Crunchy outside and melt in your mouth inside! The best boneless wings in the world. Why? They aren't just sauced nuggets. Anyone who knows what I am saying knows what I am saying. This is real meat, not ground up chicken parts repurposed, breaded and fried. So if you want the best boneless chicken wings, this is the only option that exists currently. I have not even tried their bone-in (which is my usual pick because boneless anywhere is garbage) because they know how to make a really good boneless. Now onto the sauces. SO EFFING cool that you can decide your heat level on your normal types of sauces. I go hot Garlic-Q (used to Atomic but I'm old now so my stomach has said no more) but that combo is delish. Then they have specialty ones and the blueberry is so good but not something I would get on the reg. The Ghost Pepper Ranch is INSANLEY good. But the heat is THERE and that is when I have off maybe the next day that my mouth and stomach have a truce. Because it is a flavor I've never experienced in my life. Service above par as well, really nice and attentive. That being said, I miscalc'd and didn't tip enough, my bad and I will make it up next time! My last order from BWW was thoroughly disappointing, so I was on the lookout for a new Wing spot. I decided to finally give Wings & Rings a try. I am glad I did! The bone in wings are MEATY. I've never seen such fat, plump, & juicy wings in my life. I am glad I ordered the 5-piece bone in wings. 10-Pieces would've been way too much food. I ordered the 5-Piece bone-in with Mild Buffalo Sauce. I also did an order of their Parmesan Garlic Aioli fries. They were phenomenal. A side order is plenty for one person too. The full size order can easily be shared. I also gave their famous onion rings a try. Delicious and not all breading like most onion rings. My only complaint was the lack of a dipping sauce to go with it. The wings were juicy and delicious. This will likely be my new go-to wing spot. My only complaint was the Mild Buffalo Sauce. It would NOT stick to the wings and lacked any hint of heat. I will be going up a heat level or two next time! The homemade Bleu Cheese dip/dressing is amazing. It is hard to explain, you just have to try it. The celery served with the wings was fresh, crisp, and the perfect size. I hate celery that is so thick that it's like biting into a tree branch. Came here on a Monday evening and the restaurant wasn't too busy. There are plenty of tables inside the restaurant, and a good amount of parking. The staff were friendly and our food came out very quickly. We enjoyed the food and my favorite dish was actually the cauliflower wings in teriyaki sauce. The food was good, and reasonably priced. I used to go to a wings and rings when I was a kid but it went out of business. I was very happy to find out there was a crystal lake location. My buddy and I took the 45 min drive to see if it lived up to what I remembered. I can confidently say it did. These have to be some of the best wings I've ever eaten. I'm hesitant to tell you the secrets, because I want to keep this place to myself, but I have to share. The bottom line is that the wings, fries, burgers, and onion rings are awesome here. The price is a little less than the bigger chain down the street, and since it's tucked away, there is often plenty of seating (pre-COVID). We have been here 2 times for the Super Bowl, and both times we basically had the place to ourselves (1-2 other tables present). The only downside is that they are also filling pick-up and delivery orders so the wait was a little longer than normal. The sauces are unique in that there are mixed up combos. My favorite is the spicy garlic and it the big secret is that the house blue cheese dressing is AMAZING! I ask for a big cup to go every time. The only reason this is not a full five stars is that the service drops with busy times and though that is understandable, some places can manage the added traffic with greater ease. We ordered boneless wings, half with buffalo sauce and half with garlic parmesan. They were very greasy, devoid of flavor and nearly inedible. There was literal pools of grease in the containers. We also ordered some sort of stuffed tater tots, fries with and without aioli, and Mac and cheese. The fries were ok, but skip the aioli fries. Warm mayonnaise doesn't do anything for me. The tater tot things were greasy and didn't taste fresh. The chicken also didn't taste fresh. The mac and cheese tasted ok but was swimming in grease. Before COVID, the floors and tables were always sticky, the service was awful, and the food just wasn't that good for what they charge for it. Post COVID, the takeout is always super sloppy, almost inedible, and again, just not the cleanest place in the world. They're website was easy to navigate and quick to order. Within a matter of 10 minutes, I had ordered my wings and appetizer for pickup within the next 20 minutes. We went with Bourbon BBQ and Garlic Parmesan Wings. Both were great! Boneless with lots of meat and at a great price! Again, much lower than their big boy competitor. We also ordered their fried pickle appetizer which did not disappoint. Add some ranch dipping sauce to each plate and it hit the spot! I highly recommend you try this place over BWW.
