A packing station ticket that employees can double check items. We ordered 2 Gyros, Avgolemono Soup, Fries, a Large greek salad. Soup and salad was not in our bag! The sandwiches and fries were stuff into one bag. Fries were greasy and limp. In the bottom of the plastic bag you should place a piece of card board. Cut from cases of canned goods you receive. Use a box cutter. I assume the bag with our soup snd salad were not handed to the Uber driver. I called the store and asked about our missing food. The person I spoke to was polite, but when I called back (2x) again no one answered UBER EATS has not issued a refund. That sucks. Came here to order wings for a takeout. This is a great option if you want to bring food for a party or just for yourself/family. They have a limited sauce type options but I like their lemon pepper wings. They also come with fries too. Can't wait to try other menu items. The service was also good. read more

loved the gym shoe. the owner moe is a very nice guy too. i highly recommend walking in here and getting the gym shoe. it's 2 meals. $16.99 and comes with a can of pop. fries too. you won't need the fries tho, this thing was so big it came in a half sized catering tray. filled with cheese, fried peppers & onions, corned beef, chopped steak, and gyro meat. also came with two sides of tzatziki sauce. they just need to get the bathrooms back up and running. i'll definitely be back. read more

This is my new go to greasy spoon and I mean that in the most respectful way. It's actually a term of endearment. It's the word we use to describe a variety of delicious fried foods but trust me that sell a lot more than just fried foods. It sells the comfort food that I remember having growing up in the city. Food items you don't often find in the suburbs. The menu is stupid long. There is so much to choose from. You can get anything from a hot dog or pizza puff to gym shoe sandwich or Italian beef. Don't sleep on their fish and chicken combo. You can get a Maxwell Polish or a Super Taco.Where do you find gyros nachos? You can even keep it simple and get a grilled cheese sandwich. Many things probably sound foreign to many lifetime Suburbanites because you rarely find these choices out here. There are so many things on the menu I can't name them all. Also the ambiance is pretty cool. Not a formal dining room by a long shot. It's what you would expect in a place that sells this kind of food sort of small but the decor and theme is what makes it cool. I always appreciate when I'm waiting for a carry out order that there is something on the walls or in the restaurant to capture my attention so I don't have to be on my phone needlessly. The staff is always pretty cool. I can appreciate the friendliness and casual professionalism especially when my girl is working the register. Warning ordering off of here or any other delivery apps cost more, either call it in or wall in. Lastly, I dropped one star because the catfish filets seemed to have changed from when first started purchasing it. I grew up on catfish so I can tell the difference. It's a whole different texture. I still buy it and enjoy it just not as much as the original. I stopped going to the restaurant across the parking lot just for the fish. We tried this place for the first time. Waited over an hour and did not receive our food. We kept being told 3-5 minutes yet never got our food. The chef was yelling at the cashier to stop taking grub hub orders. We saw over 20 orders get cranked out and leave the restaurant while our order was never filled. Rude people my father accidentally order 5 box of gyro when he just asked for 2 plates with 5 extra pita bread instead got charged $80 for 5 boxes of gyro we brought the food back untouched. owner didn't wanna help or wtv he is got mad quickly and didn't wanna give me my money back and called the cops what a great customer service this place was better with the old owners. Don't really recommend this place no more. All we wanted was our money back and just to be charged 2 plates instead we got the cops called if only they were understanding and well communicated. My friend tried the wings and was pleasantly surprised of how fresh and crispy they were. The portions are huge. You won't leave hungry. The staff were friendly and helped with recommendations since their menu is huge! The manager/owner was very warm and welcoming and checked on us a couple of time. I more gyro stand down as I hunt for that really good gyro place out here in the burbs and close to work, I tried Spanky's the other day now this is a hole in the wall joint, no thrills kinda grungy looking the walls could use a coat of paint, but you know what at these prices I don't care about looks I care about the food and it was fast, friendly and hot I got a Gyro with no Tomatoes because that's how I roll and a soda, the pita was smokin hot off the grill and the pile of meat was hot and tasty with just a hint of onions and some Tzatziki sauce right down the middle of it oh man my mouth is watering just righting this review may have to make a run to Elgin for lunch even though its not a work day so don't let the looks of the place throw you off go and get some good hot freshly made food and save a buck or two read more

Great Chicken Kabob. Fries are good. Love how they grill the pita, tastes so good! I have been to this place twice. Was good enough to return. Place is fairly small and not terribly clean. There is about a 10 minute wait for the kabob and they told me it would be that long. Service was good both times I've been here. They have a lot of really good specials. The prices are great. I didn't even ask for mayo because I won't eat mayo - also I asked for extra cheese and there was none. Who even puts mayo and lettuce on a philly anyways?! No notification, no text, just an email. Oh, and that $95 will take 5-7 days to refund. I am livid. Their website states they are open till midnight, called 4 times, 2 times no answer for over 2 minutes, the other 2 times, phone was picked up and promptly hung up. The gyros is one of the best I have had in the suburbs. It is very hard to find a place that has thick cut gyros, so I was pleasantly surprised. The portion sizes are very generous and my whole family enjoyed their meals. The management and staff are also very friendly and checked in on us multiple times throughout our meal and even offered us a complimentary drink. I will not hesitate to eat here again! read more
