As a person that loves both Harold's and Uncle Remus I have to say that Zza Factory's wings are a combination of both great Chicago institutions. I ordered 20 wings thinking that I would get 10 flats and 10 drums for $40 and I was fine with that but I was shocked to learn that it came in two big trays with 20 FULL WINGS FRIED HARD (10 wings per tray), fries, mild sauce (covering wings and fries) & a couple piece of white bread. Reminded me of an Uncle Remus G-pan and tasted like it too. They definitely got some people who know what they're doing when it comes to Chicago style chicken The pickup process was a breeze too. Showed up and my order was ready when they said it would be. You know great customer service when you see it and Zza has some of the best I've experienced. It feels like they are happy to see you in their restaurant and appreciate your patronage. As a customer I don't require that but it's great to actually experience it. I enjoy the food here and the staff is great. On this visit I had the Maxwell Street Polish w/fries. Comes with grilled onions and a sport pepper. It lacked mustard or there wasn't enough. Anyway, it was good. Only a couple minor critiques: the fresh cut fries should be done a little more. I found them to be soggy. And the drive-thru is pretty slow. I've passed by this restaurant in Elgin for more than a year and never stepped inside. They sell a variety of foods, mostly things I don't eat. I went strictly for the pizza and was not disappointed. I ordered a personal cheese pizza that came in 4 squares (detroit style). The crust had that buttery flavor and fried like texture. It was cheesy and a little greasy with a pleasantly tasting sauce. I took mine to go and later popped it in the air fryer with the addition of green onions and mushrooms. The serving size was perfect. Awesome food, had the chicken tender, chicken wing and shrimp combo dinner. The bbq mild sauce is the perfect finish to the perfectly fried pieces the fries are perfect! Love it! Customer service also outstanding I came on Sunday and it was busy but the girl managed to take care of each customer in a timely manner including helping customers on the phone. Service is always terrible no matter when I go there... long wait times even when no one is in the restaurant. I drive for Uber and always get terrible service. Last night I picked up an order and was told it would be ready in 7 minutes. After waiting 10 minutes the girl came out and told me that my customers pizza got burnt and they have to remake it so it will be another 9 minutes. Not only is this bad for my customer but me as a driver since I am not able to get any other orders with this long wait. Total wait time to pick up this order was 20 minutes! I was looking to celebrate National Pasta Day on 10/17 for my office. I researched local catering options for pasta. Pasta is tricky to cater since it doesn't travel well, and it can get pasty and clumpy. I found ZZA Factory was a local spot that offered pasta dishes. Checked out their menu, photos, and reviews and was instantly impressed! The food looked outstanding in photos, menu variety was excellent, and reviews were consistent enough for me to decide this is who I would reach out to. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful. I shared the menu I was looking for, he confirmed they offered the menu items, I wanted and explained the pricing/quantity of food I would receive. It was easy, efficient, quick, clear, and friendly to place my order. Our business location was out of their delivery range, but we had the option to pick up so I was pleased. Pickup was easy and timely. The man who helped me load pointed out a few pans were heavy and to be careful lifting them. They double-panned the heavier items so the full pan didn't bend, and the full aluminum pans were wrapped tightly, labeled, and packed in perfectly fitting boxes. Arriving back to the office, I had my chafers all set-up. So happy they double panned the food pans because they were heavy and boy did the food smell like heaven! I removed the foil lids and to my surprise the smell my heart happy. You know when you just look at food and you know it's going to be delicious? That is what I felt... I was so impressed and couldn't wait to dig in. Lunch started and my team came down, I could hear ooohhhsss and aahhhsss as they approaced the buffet. Rave reviews from everyone! Where is this food from? What's the name? What other food do they offer? Can you share the menu? We have a tough crowd to please and they were soooo impressed with all of the food. Each dish was demolished. Our team was coming up for seconds and wanting to take anything that was left home with them. It's very hard to screw up Chicken Tenders. Tastes like nothing, it's like they threw in chicken breasts to the fryer without any batter or seasoning. Chicken was dry and chewy. I asked to look at the menu in the drive threw and then order then she said we are closed unless you order right now. We tried to order something else and they told us we are not serving that at the moment. It's almost like they didn't wanna make us a chocolate milkshake so they just told us we can't order it because it was 30 minutes before closing. First time here and the menu is overwhelming because everything just sounds delicious and I wanted to try everything. But I was in the mood for gyros so I figured that's usually safe to go with. I admit the gyros was a bit disappointing. The strips of gyros was fried to a crisp and I don't particularly like that. The portions were generous. However I prefer sliced onions but they serve it with chopped onions and that really just didn't do it for me. The sauce was meh. I'm picky when it comes to gyros. I know what I like. And this experience isn't enough for me to not come back. I will just not order this again. I ordered a side of their fresh cut fries which was delicious. They were really good and fresh. Also got a side of the cheese sauce which I wasn't a big fan of. I sat in the restaurant to dine and it was very clean. I noticed what others ordered who sat near me and the food does look delicious. Worst customer service experience ever. I spent $100 on an order and they made a mistake. When I called to inform the manager she said they normally require that I come back the same day to get my mistaken items, but made an exception that I could come the next day. But when I call the next day the lady I spoke to was so rude. She refused to honor the request. She was short with me and then hung up. When I called back to get her name to lodge a complaint she refused to give me her name. All this for $11... I've been a loyal customer for a while but never again!!! The service has gotten horrible and the food was already declining (especially for the price). This solidified that I will never return. You can only cut so many corners with service and quality. We ordered pizza & a half order of fresh cut french fries. The food is great. But 1 thing I have to mention is that the fries were a bit well done. I prefer when some are a more greasy & not well done where u can taste the flavor of the potato more. Next time I can ask for the fries to not be so well done. With that half order a few people could have shared them! A very cute place. Nothing too fancy which we prefer. We will have to take our 3 & a half year old grandson here. He loves fries alot! Last time I will come here after frequenting for years. The decline started during Covid, which was understandable, but they have had plenty of time to recover, if interested. First off, the "dog + fry" deal shows as $4,50 on the drive-thru menu. I was charged $5.50 and asked why. They said the price changed per a menu th3y gave me, but the menu that I attached a picture of shows the increase to $5.00. They also charge a 4% credit card processing fee. The highest I have ever seen. On top of all of this, the hot dogs were pathetic looking, and the frys were all burnt with only around a quarter of which were edible. read more

YUM. Zza factory is where it's at. Thick(er) crust, Detroit-style. We got the grandma's pizza and it was phenomenal. We carried out, but there are options to dine-in if you want to - it's a super casual place, where you can get your own pop from the machine before you take a seat. I think if you dine in it might be counter service. Someone in our group ordered the italian beef and it was like a large baby that's how huge it was - he said it was amazing. Tried them finally. I like their option of personal pizza because we are so picky in our family. So we can each get our pizza. The Italian Beef pizza is very unique and different from other places. Really good. I like their fluffy crust and the burnt bottom, it's delicious. The cheesesticks are yummy. Assembly line was good and well the pepperoni is always the best. :P I like how they have other options on the menu as well. Delivery is pretty quick, so that is a plus. Tried ZZA Factory for the first time and really enjoyed the food! We got their Chicago Fire pizza which was spicy and delicious. Also the meatball parmesan sandwich with sweet peppers. The way the cheese melts all over this pizza The seasoning is just perfect allowing the flavor of the meat and cheese to still pop. The bacon is perfect. Not too salty and doesn't overpower anything else. Just as it should be. Their fries are also absolutely perfect. Crisped to perfection allowing the juicy meat and cheese to sit on top without them getting soggy.
