I've tried their meat lover, cheese, sausage, supreme and giardiniera. I would recommend trying the giardiniera if you like a little kick to your pizza but honestly you can't go wrong with any of these choices. One thing I would say is that their crust is pretty thick and doughy but that's fine with me cause I like it thick ;) read more

This is the first company in my life that has made me want to post a review. I would have selected negative Stars, but Yelp does not have that option. I called to order lasagna for Christmas dinner and asked if they had a meatless lasagna (we have vegetarian members in our family) and was told by the employee that they did. I ordered a large pan of MEATLESS lasagna which cost $76.29. To my surprise when we opened it later to eat it was full of meat. This ruined dinner for several of my family members. I called to talk with a manager (Shawn?) the next day to express my displeasure with receiving MEAT lasagna when that was not what I ordered. He said they did not have a lasagna without meat, and their lasagna has had meat for the last 50 years. When I asked why the phone person would sell me a MEATLESS lasagna and he said with so many items on the menu they cannot expect their employees to know the ingredients in all their food (ridiculous). I told him that if I were told they didn't have MEATLESS lasagna I would have called another place, I think they just wanted to make the sale. He offered me a credit of $5.00 for my inconvenience and would not provide the full refund I was asking for. Imagine having to pay full price for their mistake/issue and not what you ordered. He gave me a $20 credit in-store to use which I will never claim. I will never go back to Geno Nottolini's there are plenty of other restaurants to order from that have a MEATLESS lasagna or at least have employees who know the ingredients in their food. read more

Since we're new to the suburbs, I needed a place to order beef and pasta and Geno Nottolini's was wonderful! I ordered a beef package and a meat lovers package. The food was great and the portions were generous. The baked pasta was superb - cheesy and saucy. The meatballs were tender and tasted great. The garlic bread was yummy too. The beef was juicy tender and tasty. The kids had boneless wings and 32 pieces disappeared pretty quickly. The salad was huge and filled with veggies! My kids grew up with their food and they LOVE it! We have been their customer for 10++++ years and we did lots of deliveries! This place is honestly disgusting. There are leaves scattered all over the ground. Like, an insane amount of leaves. They have soda cans just sitting out next to there soda machine, and the bathrooms have this weird ass soap and nothing to dry your hands with. I had to use toilet paper. They do have a really wide selection of stuff though. Like, a really odd selection of stuff. Not a bad thing, just odd. The garbage can had only toilet paper in it, so I think it's been awhile since they've restocked. Same with the soda machine, most of the soda is literally outside of the machine. They also got out order wrong. People I were with said pizza tasted good. I didn't have it, but it looked insanely greasy. But what do you expect? They said the wings were so-so. My friend said 3.5/10. My curly fries were ok. read more

Having moved to the area, the first thing we always try to find is a solid pizza place. So far, this has been the best and most consistent place. They have an online app which is super convenient for those of us who loathe using the phone. The thin crust, so long as it's delivered quick - has a great snap to it. We love the cheesy breadsticks- basically bosco sticks but a lot bigger. Wings are solid. They have a multitude of sauces for the pizzas to choose from. I'll add more to this review later but if you want consistently good pizza, great specials, and delivery that doesn't take 90 minutes - which apparently around here is a rarity- give this place a shot. read more

I LOVE their Pizza and GREAT Service! I am high maintenance and always have special requests such as extra crispy and well done and they always do it right. They also are very receptive when we've made changes to our order and it's really nice to be able to order in advance for special occasions. They pile the toppings on just right. The Chicago Style pizza seems to be just thick crust with sauce on top. It doesn't have that pie crust buttery texture and taste that you expect from Chicago Style pizza. The other styles may be fine but don't bother with Chicago Style. read more

Omg worst service and customer service ever!!! Worst pizza place I've ever been in contact with!!!! I bought a pizza and wings and another appetizer. 43$ then had my man go pick up the pizza when getting it home it was wrong and the wings were burnt!!!! So I called spoke to the manager who then argued with me. It took them an hour to bring another pizza and the kids had already eaten some of the pizza. So when the delivery guy came to the door he was rude and said and the other food? So I said yes just a minute and I will bring it to you. I close the door and not even one minute later he started ringing the bell again. I get to the door with the old WRONG AND MESSED UP PIZZA!!! And he grabs the box to stay the pizza is not all here... I said I know that he said why did you eat some of it? Idk why it mattered is he going to resell it??? But either way we didn't even notice that it was wrong until we started eating. He said well at least where is my tip?? Really after him acting like an idiot and also we picked up they messed up that's why he had to deliver in the first place!!! I told him no I'm not tipping u. Mehhhhhh.... I found myself going to Elgin the other day, and since Geno Nottolini's had a good yelp review I thought I'd try it out. If this is the best pizza Elgin can serve up, frankly, it's time to move! It's not that the pizza is *bad*. It isn't *bad*, it's jut not all that *good*, either. We ordered a... a meat something-or-other bomb. Basically, throw ham, canadian bacon, pepperoni, and sausage on a pizza. As a bonus, they have coupons so that when you order an XL anything, you get a small cheese. Welllllll... as I was saying, the pizza isn't bad, but it's absolutely nothing to write home about. Both the meat bomb and the small cheese had enough oil on them to make Saudi Arabia look over their shoulder. The thick crust was decent, and though others didn't particularly care for it I kind of dug their "hey, there's a breadstick around the edge" approach. The sauce was only so-so, which is where I believe GN's pizza really falls down; it's slightly sweet but doesn't have much seasoning beyond that. It's main contribution to the pizza is really its red coloring rather than flavor. Toppings were pretty good; sausage was actual sausage rather than reconstituted dog food that most places have. Pepperoni was fair but not stellar, and everything else kind of blended together. The atmosphere, well, it's a pizza place tucked into a strip mall. Can't expect a lot there. Six tables out front where you can sit and eat, but they're pretty tight. Really this place is intended as a pickup/delivery operation and that's about it. In short, if I was at someone's place and they ordered pizza from here, I'd eat it. But if they gave me a choice, I'd probably explore around to see if there are better options. *I'm updating my previous 3 star review to a 4 star review. I've been ordering from here for about 2 years now and I've been able to try a lot more items from the menu. Nothing has really let me down yet. I've also had consistently great service when ordering pick-up and delivery. Thanks guys! Having recently moved to Elgin from downtown Chicago, I was a little skeptical about finding a decent pizza place to order from. But, I've ordered from Geno's about 4-5 times now and it's always been solid. The delivery people have always been prompt and friendly too. I've only ordered thin crust pizzas, but I think I've ordered most of what they have to offer in that department, and I've never been let down. After reading other reviews, I think I need to get a sandwich next time though. It's not super cheap for pizza in the area, but if you use one of the coupons they are distributing everywhere, you can usually get a pretty decent amount of food for your money. Conclusion: It's not "life-changing"-ly delicious pizza, but I doubt it will ever let you down. Their menu is HUGE too, so it's very possible that there are other great items on the menu I just haven't had yet either. read more

Their pizza is a great example of the Chicago-style thin crust. Delivery is insanely fast (though I do live pretty close). The thin crust is ALWAYS good, and since this was my neighborhood pizzeria for 20-some years, I've had it countless times. What they call 'deep dish pan' is crap. It's not their thing. I'm removing it from consideration for the purposes of this review. For a Chicago thin-crust, this place is as good as any I've had. By the way, I never eat in there; it's not really meant to be a sit-down restaurant. It's a neighborhood pizzeria serving, primarily, the immediate neighborhood. I get the impression that many neighborhoods in the Chicagoland area have pizzerias of this quality, but I think this just speaks to the high quality of Chicago pizzerias. So yes, you can find other places like this in Chicago, but it's still a five-star product. read more

The food arrive a full 30 minutes before gruphub stated it would, and the delivery man was really friendly and pleasant when he arrived. We ordered the appetizer combo item (a few mozzarella sticks, onion rings, mushrooms, etc)- all of it was delicious. We also ordered a thick crust pizza- and I loved it. There are so many pizza options in the area that it can be difficult to stand out. Ordered an Italian beef because I was craving one so much. I've never been so disappointed with a beef as I was today. I asked for it to be juicy beyond juicy and it had been dipped into the juice about an inch deep on the seam side of the bun. The rest of the bread was bone dry and clearly never dunked. The beef was so poorly seasoned that it didn't resemble Italian beef at all. I called to complain about the dryness of the bread and he puts me on hold and asks the cook about it. The cook says he dunked it, but I'm telling the guy that I'm literally looking at a dry bun. He says "well, my cook says he dipped it". It would be one thing if the restaurant apologized for the incorrect order fulfillment, but this guy's attitude, I will never, ever order from here again. read more

I've tried all the pizza places in Elgin and Genos is the standout, in my opinion. If you want a pizza that is a soup of cheese, go elsewhere, instead you'll get a pizza with the proper proportion of ingredients. Pasta is decent too, but nothing special and the portion is large. I have been ordering from this pizza place since we moved here in 92. My family has always enjoyed their food and they even know how we like our pizza. But, I had company in from out of town last night and ordered 4 pizzas. They all used to live in Chicago and were looking forward to some thin crust. The pizzas were horrible. There was very little sauce and the crust was terrible. I was so discouraged and then my daughter told me that she ordered one a few weeks ago and she said the same thing. I hope they didn't change owners because I can't believe how much it has changed. I should have tried CPA again. I will have to order from them or Rosati's. We have had pizza from here more than once and it's always great. Tonight we ordered spicy curly fries, pizza bread, and an italian beef stromboli no giardiniera. We had it delivered and food came fairly quickly. The fries were good, nothing made them special, but good none the less. Pizza bread was....odd. The cheese had that look of being reheated (kind of dark?), and lots of pepperoni on top to cover said cheese. Tasted kind of freezer burned. So the Stromboli looked amazing. Beautiful. Then I bit into a piece and realized there was like an entire jar of hot giardiniera on it. Holy spicy. Tried scraping it off, but there was so much and so many seeds that it made it inedible. My boyfriend thought I was being dramatic until he tried it and broke out in a sweat eating it. So essentially we paid $21 for some okay fries for dinner tonight. Let me start by saying the pizza is fantastic. They are a bit pricier than other places and their delivery is always within a reasonable time. The 3 star rating is due to our most recent experience. We ordered 1 cheesy beef, 1 Texas beef, and 2 cheese fries. Cheese fries were nothing special, kinda plain. The real issue was with the beefs. Both of our sandwiches were so skimpy on the meat it was almost embarrassing. The Texas beef is supposed to be a BBQ beef with onions and cheese. Wellllll it was mostly a cheesy onion sandwich with a sprinkle of beef and I'm not even sure if there was BBQ on it at this point. I will continue to order pizza from here but wont be venturing outside of that. read more

Geno Nottolini's is by far my favorite pizza place in Elgin. Their pizza crust is a perfect example of what should come to mind when you think Chicago-style thin crust. My entire family raves about the pizza every time we order it. We have ventured into other areas of the menu at Geno's -- including garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, deep dish pizza, meatballs (YUM) and pastas. They are all pretty good, but the pizza just can't be beat. I will say however that I am not a huge fan of their deep dish/thick crust pizza. The thin crust is much tastier and just seems to be cooked better than I have ever found the deep dish to be. Delivery is always REALLY fast -- which helps when you have hungry children. But we actually usually go in for pickup since it saves us a few dollars and we're just right down the street anyway. Geno's is meant to be a pickup/delivery pizza place, so I wouldn't really recommend it as a sitdown dinner location. There just isn't enough space to sit down for a meal. So don't let the tiny store front fool you! The pizza is GREAT and you will not be disappointed. We also love the deal where you save the tickets from your pizzas and once you have 10 you get half off your second pizza. It's nice when businesses reward customers for their loyalty. =) read more

We have ordered pizza from Genos in the past. On Friday's ordered spaghetti and a beef sandwich. Overall service is very good. Got our food delivered within 30 minutes. The pizza is very good here also my husband enjoyed his beef sandwich. The spaghetti was also very good. Highly recommend genos. There prices are fair and also no delivery fee. read more
