We order from Nick's pizza occasionally. We have had birthday parties there too. We like the pepperoni, sausage, cheese or veggie. The service is good. We will be back soon. read more

Service is very slow, on the waiter side. The food was very good and came out very quickly! Very cute spot, perfect for a chill evening out with the kids The peanuts are a cute touch to keep the kiddos entertained. The establishment itself is also very neat, lots of cool things to look around at! Would recommend just not if you're in a rush to grab a check lol! read more

Food was okay, service was fair. Hostess lied about the seating, lacked in professionalism to say the least. Will never patronize again read more

After all these years, our first trip to NP&P. Really, REALLY cool inside....old barn siding decorate the walls along with an amazing array of stuffed fish and wildlife, very warm and cozy. Our server Nancy (I guess she's been there quite a while) couldn't have been nicer and very attentive without being overwhelming. 4 of us in our group, the one couple ordered fried mushrooms for a appy, nice and crispy, done to perfection. We ordered mozzarella sticks...had to be the best ever!!! We then each ordered the "double decker" pizza with sausage and mushrooms. Never heard of such a thing and wow, such great flavor, done just right with a perfect amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. Wish it was closer to us but it's worth a trip back! Well done Nick! read more

You either deliver or you do not. They keep changing delivery and never have drivers. If they do have drivers it's a two or more hour wait. Terrible service. read more

I meant to update this a few months back. Wanted to recognize Caleb as an amazing bartender at Nick's. For several weeks, we were hitting Nick's for our Saturday lunch choice and honestly we kept going back just for the service. I mean the pizza is great, but the vibe was better. read more

Nothing was awful just not very good I wanted pizza so we went here with a group of 7. Ordered a few drafts, they were cold & fine. Got the bruschetta app it was 5 pieces of small toast & not enough balsamic. We ordered a large Pizza for 2 of us to share. It was only 14" & paper thin. We both polished off our 1/2 with no problem & were searching for the bag of peanuts they gave us when we were seated. I was expecting to be full & possibly have leftovers. Wife tried the breaded chicken sandwich, it was bland. 2 people had the new grilled cheese with soup- it was ok Italian beef was dry with very little flavor Bill was almost $200 b4 tip for a tiny large pizza, 5 sandwiches, 1 small app & 5 beers, 1 mixed drink & 3 lemonades. We won't try this place again the pizza was veeeeeeery disappointing read more

I love Nicks, the food is great, the only thing I don't like is the lights, WARM LIGHTING PLEASE!

Pizza was good but dead fish was unappetizing and appalling to look at, Rip Fishy yikes..... read more

Good thin crust pizza. Basic tomato sauce was familiar-tasting (hot enough sage?), lotsa mozzarella cheese (the extra cheese makes a better slice @10 minutes than 5 minutes after service), at the table cause it as kinda thick when first served. Also will be great leftover lunch/brunch - was our plan so we got big-ish pizzas). Good thin crust. I'm hyper critical on crust, so call that a big compliment. We'll be back. (And we're Lou's routine customers, so if I order a 2nd pizza from you it's a big deal). They've decorated beautifully for the season. Lovely. The party room looks awesome, I'd love to know it's happily used for lotsa fun Elgin events . Tomato & mozz salad underwhelming. But a good healthy addition to everything we were ordering even if mediocre. Heavens sake we need fresh veges sometimes Mom loved the crispy onion rings & the dressing (our appetizer). It was all about making her happy - and extra crispy onion rings with plenty of dip = happiness The holiday decorations plus lotsa Taxidermy kinda odd but Mom was fascinated. If she's happy I'm thrilled. Overall. Giant space in South Elgin. Lovely. Pizza was very well priced. Our server was awesome esp my Mom's obvious dementia impacting her public food activity (shoot, I can't remember our servers name - but she was obviously a pro & handled my family, I'd be happy to hang out with her again). Near Gail Borden Library South Elgin branch - I'd happily spend a couple hours there.... read more

Love Nick's...still! Get the bruschetta! Get the Italian Chopped Salad!! Get any pizza with toppings!!! I love the taco specialty pizza...Try the specialty pizzas on Tuesdays, it's their BOGO carry out day. Totally worth trying something new for BOGO. Morgan is the best server in the area, she's great every time. And she is always thinking two steps ahead. Nick, the owner is on hand a lot. He's really approachable which is so important in an owner. Go for one of their community events...Tonight was Santa, and we loved it. Just try Nick's. You'll be happy you did. Service was great. Pizza good but needs more sauce. Nice atmosphere and close to home. Will go again.

Living in Florida now, I don't get back here often but absolutely love Nicks pizza! When I moved back to Illinois in 1996, the Crystal lake location was the first place I had pizza back home and Nicks remained a family favorite. We moved in 2018 so I have only been here 2-3 times in the last 3 years. Love it though!! We used to have birthday parties and other celebrations here. They always do a great job!! read more

***I ordered online I'm always passing this place but I've never tried their pizza before. And for someone who has a pizza tattoo, I had to check this place out. There's two kinds of people in this world. And I am a supporter of pineapples on pizza! I've never had a pizza with whole sliced pineapples on top. They're pretty thick pieces too. I liked that they have bbq sauce in place of the pizza sauce. It's nice that they allow you to choose if you want your pizza cut in triangles or squares. I personally like having most of the ingredients inside, under the cheese. The wings were wet but the meat was a little too dry for me. I would order again from here. My order was correct and hot and fresh. read more

Had a surprise birthday party in the upstairs section of the restaurant. They opened a little early just for us and provided excellent service along with outstanding food. I highly recommend!! read more

We have eaten at nicks over the years and generally had good food and fair service. Had birthday parties there. Today was so disappointing that we will not return. The food was mostly fine. The bun on the sandwich was not toasted. Big deal right? The unusual coleslaw slaw was not fresh. When the appetizer was served we did not receive napkins so I was able to get up from the table to find a server to have him bring napkins. The food was served and again I had find a server to get silverware. The drink refills were not brought until the meal was pretty much over. We can overlook some of these issues. The kicker came when 20 percent tip was added to the bill for the 2 of us. We were not given the option of cash payment so the convenience fee was added. Sorry to say after supporting nicks through the years including when covid was around and the restaurant was struggling we will mot be joining nicks for a meal. read more

This place has a great American food fanfare vibe, with the decór screaming Americana. Walk in and the inside reminded me of a giant log cabin. If you're a PETA advocate and don't like taxidermy, the decor isn't something you would like. Various stuffed animals are all over the dining area from bears, to fish, to a giant chandelier consisting of, what I assume, deer antlers. Another warning, if you have a severe peanut allergy, you may think twice about coming here as they have numerous baskets of shelled peanuts and it's encouraged to dump the shells on the floor after consumption. There's signs that quickly warn you as well. The place was pretty busy on a Friday night, but we got seating pretty quickly. For appetizers, besides the complimentary shelled peanuts, we got some wings and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were OK, but the wings were fantastic. They had the perfect crisp and the asian chili sauce was phenomenal. For the main dish, I ordered the turkey burger. The burger was somewhat dry, but it was decently seasoned. I enjoyed my burger, service, and friends. BATHROOM REVIEW: Bathroom located near the back of the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised on how clean the bathroom was. Everything worked fine and nothing smelled. Sit or squat? Squat. read more

Food came out lukewarm, our server was on a different planet, I'm surprised that she remained conscious throughout our time at Nick's. Don't get me wrong, I've been going to Nick's for almost a decade now and I've never, I repeat never, have ever had such a scary/concerning experience within such a familiar environment. The server at the time, I believe her name was Laura or Lindsey, started with an L. She was stumbling when approaching our table, her hands were visibly trembling when passing out beverages, her eyes were dilated beyond belief, and I had a sneaking suspicion she was inebriated based on her complexion and lack of basic motor skills. Sad to see a place I used to love become completely classless with no service standards. This experience made me deeply uncomfortable and I will not be returning. read more

So not all way bad... The good- pizza is great, it's thin, crispy and delicious!! Calamari yum!! Especially with that garlic aioli! The bad- my $11.45 LARGE salad was about 5 small mozzarella balls with mixed greens. That it. So disappointing! I could have made this for about $4 and a lot of it. read more

Not sure who that Rodolfo guy in the front thinks he is, but he's rude as fk. He completely ignored us for a good 30 minutes while he fiddled with his phone. My husband and I always enjoy stopping in when we are in the area. We love the thin crust pizza there and the atmosphere is always so nice. But I have to say that today our server Caleb was so genuinely nice. I could hear him with the other patrons, and I even complemented him. Seriously pretty darn good pizza. They always get it right. Highly recommended. The sausage is unreal and the cheese is on point. Thanks!

I would give this no stars if I could. It took almost 2 hours to get our pizza, even the appetizer of fried ravioli took forever, the sauce was cold (like it had been in the refrigerator). The bacon (surprisingly was full strips laid on top of the pizza) was of poor quality and mostly undercooked fat. The bathrooms were gross, as were the floors by the serving stations. The laminated menus were filthy and sticky. Lastly the service sucked, I'm rather patient with current staffing shortages everywhere & I understand slow service but this was beyond. I will never go back here. read more

Definitely a crowd favorite, Nick's was packed on the Saturday night we visited, but we didn't wait long at all to be seated. I did appreciate the activities for parents and kids to do together while you wait though- so creative! All of the staff were extremely courteous and hard working. Nick's is also the perfect place to play I-Spy. The decor is bananas, you'll always find something new to look at if you try! We ordered the Margherita pizza and it was fine. I'd like to give The Nick's special a try next time. Also, who can be mad about getting to throw peanut shells on the ground. read more
