    Grilled chicken kebab wrap

We had a great family meal here. Outdoor seating was clean and service was great. We had the combination feast, chicken kebab wrap, and lamb kebabs. All the meals were delicious and the portions were very large. They even brought out extra meat for our dogs as they lounged under the table. Hummus falafel and baba ghanoush were all worth a try.

We've been coming back to eat at Pita Bbq for almost a year now. Their meals are always something we look forward to, we're lucky this is close to our place, we eat here at least once a week. I love their chicken kebab plate, very satisfying and healthy. The flavors of meat, rice and side dishes all go well together. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. This place just made renovations and it feels real homey. We love to eat Mediterranean food and Pita bbq is one of the best places we've been to. Highly recommended!

We found this place while searching for a lunch spot after visiting a local forest preserve. The interior is a mishmash of cultures. The floor was super sticky; gross. Service was friendly and pricing was fair. The menu is somewhat limited; for example, they don't have kufta kabob. We ordered samurai wings (which is rung up separately), and a mixed shawarma bowl. My wife enjoyed the wings. Unlike wings at some places, these weren't drenched in sugar sauce. The shawarma bowl had a nice mix of meat, rice, and veggies, but it was lacking in flavor. It just needed more seasoning to make it a delicious meal.

Good food. Nothing less than the best. Absolutely satisfied. Would eat here everyday until I succumb to heart disease. This is THE SPOT.

The garlic sauce went really well with the spicy chili chicken wrap, which was phenomenal. The fries are a substantial serving, perfect for two people.

Loved the food, the portions and the homey ambiance. If you want comfort mediterranean food that's easy on the pocket but not on the portions then this is it.

This food is insanely good! I've passed by this place many times but we finally decided to try it and we were very impressed! We placed an order over the phone and the person on the phone was very nice. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate, the combination feast, and the falafel wrap. The food was ready in 15 min on a Sunday night. I highly recommend ordering extra garlic sauce (I was scraping it out of the small cup it came in!!!). Everything was good and I will definitely be going back regularly now!!! 11/10 so good.

Beef and chicken shawarma combination plate and they forgot the falafel.

Customer service sucks, waiting at the counter for a while before someone took my order. Food is good even though they didn't put any falafel in the combination plate.

Having lived in the Chicago area for many years, I've visited just about every restaurant that has opened over the years. I've also been to KBBQ several times for dinner and even left a review when they first re-opened. However, today was my first time trying their lunch menu, and I was genuinely impressed. Unlike dinner time, the bright daylight streaming through the windows illuminated every corner of the restaurant, making it easy to notice how clean and well-maintained the space is. Honestly, if there had been any signs of poor hygiene that I might have missed during dinner visits, I would have noticed them right away. But there was absolutely nothing to find! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us so warmly that we almost felt like we were being welcomed by old friends. They even looked around to find us a more comfortable seat and ended up giving us a great spot. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the menu in detail. Today we ordered spicy cod fish stew, grilled mackerel and a spicy squid stone pot bibimbap... I wasn't particularly hungry :) since I had eaten breakfast not too long before, but as someone who believes in never skipping a meal, I picked up my spoon and chopsticks anyway. Well... my chopsticks got lost along the way. The six side dishes (banchan) completely stole my attention. Every single one tasted like something my grandmother would have lovingly prepared years ago. They were comforting, authentic, and absolutely delicious. The spicy cod stew, grilled mackerel and a spicy squid stone pot bibimbap were outstanding. Especially the cod was so fresh and thick that I found myself wondering, "Is this really cod?" The flaky white fish was incredibly tender, the shrimp, and other ingredients just as fresh. The spicy squid pot bibimbap was perhaps the best of all! I jokingly asked if they had a reservoir hidden behind the restaurant because everything tasted like it had just been caught that morning! Of course, great food is the most important thing, but I truly believe the warm smiles from the staff and the spotless dining environment made the meal even more enjoyable. KBBQ is one of those rare places where excellent food and genuine hospitality come together. It feels less like a restaurant and more like visiting your grandmother's house for a wonderful home-cooked meal. I'll definitely be coming back more often in the future. Highly recommended!

The staff was mostly older Korean ladies that were very helpful and kind. The younger girl working there, gives you great service. We ordered popcorn dumplings, Korean steamed egg, beef bulgogi, LA galbi marinated, and soft tofu soup with galbi meat. If you pay cash, you get free ice cream. Also, the banchan is unlimited and you also get Korean stew with the bbq. Popcorn dumplings were nice and crispy. It's also moist and succulent inside when you bite into it. The steamed egg was delicious. The bbq meat was great. I liked that there was more meat than bone for the galbi. I recommend getting the tofu soup with galbi meat. The soup is savory and the galbi meat is very tender. This will be my new go to.

I was immediately seated in a booth with a grill right in front of the bar with two large video monitors of Korean pop music going with the boys and girls dance vids constantly going. The decorum had the feel of an upscale Asian bistro bar, nicely done. I was a bit disappointed with the meats. A couple of the pieces had gristle and fat that I simply left on the plate. The Kimchi was some of the best I have had...and the garlic chicken wings were fabulous. The key feature of their system is ordering based upon pictures on a tablet. It seems that portions pictured are typically enough for two people to share. There were several dishes I ordered that brought larger quantity than I thought was a single portion...so if you are eating alone, take into consideration that you may end up with more than you might have expected. ONE last note...the Miso Soup was excellent.

My family and I came to celebrate an early Valentine's Day and treated ourselves to a nice dinner. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We booked ours and were promptly seated at 6:30 PM on a Friday night with no wait. Don't you love when things run smoothly like that? We ordered multiple rounds for our family of 4 using the iPad and through the night, I'd say the foods arrived under or around five minutes. There's a 2-hour dining limit, and we used all of it. The iPad conveniently shows a countdown timer once you're seated, so you know exactly how much time you have left. It's especially helpful toward the end when you're deciding whether to squeeze in one last dessert order. I also really appreciate the transparency of their ordering system. The pricing is clearly displayed on the iPad as you select items, so you always know what you're ordering and whether something is included in the AYCE menu. On one of our other visits, I accidentally tapped an item à la carte that was outside of our AYCE menu and saw the charge immediately on the screen. I notified management right away, and they removed it promptly. This kind of system helps prevent surprise charges at the end of the meal. At the end, they print out a detailed receipt of everything you ordered -- it almost feels like a "trophy receipt." It really reinforces how much food you get for the price and how far your money stretches here. Also note that gratuity was not automatically added (for our party of 4) so we were able to write in our tip. There's a wide variety included in the AYCE menu. That said, on this particular visit they had run out of a few items -- calamari rings, hot and sour soup, house salad, and a couple others. It wasn't a huge disappointment, though I was personally looking forward to the hot and sour soup. I did notice they've added some new appetizers like fried chicken wings. They also offer familiar kid-friendly items such as fries, chicken nuggets, and fried dumplings, which is great for families. Overall, the selection is plentiful -- plenty of beef, chicken, and seafood, more than you can realistically eat. Throughout your meal, staff will offer to change the grill (which is definitely needed after a while since it gets dark and charred). They spray some kind of a protective layer on it - my guess is so the meat doesn't stick. There seem to be two types of grills they rotate between -- one for general meats and one better suited for thinner cuts. My personal favorite is the Hawaiian beef bulgogi with pineapple. I also enjoy the spicy calamari and mini sausages. The garlic shrimp was another standout -- large and very flavorful. You really get your money's worth here. This has become one of our go-to spots for family celebrations. My husband especially loves it -- and that says a lot. We've been to many Korean BBQ places, and this is the only one where he's consistently satisfied with the meat quality, marinades, and sauces. He's very particular about flavor profiles, so that's high praise. The table height is also ergonomically comfortable, which really matters when you're cooking and eating for so long. The tables themselves are large and spacious, making it easy to hold the numerous small plates that come with all the different ingredients. We enjoy the ambiance here as it's trendy and well kept. Service is attentive -- staff clear plates promptly, offer grill changes, and are easy to reach when needed. You can also request assistance directly from the iPad which makes things seamless. It was cool to see they still have claw machines in the waiting area, which is a fun bonus for families. On our way out, they also had toothpicks and candy available. Small touches like that are appreciated. This visit was interesting because they had someone walking around offering complimentary printed photos with a Tomahawk-themed template. Additional prints with a frame were available for purchase ($20). Lastly, I wrote in my review a year ago and suggested a loyalty dining program. Since then, we have dined here a few more times but I haven't heard anything yet on this visit. We would still love for them to launch something! :)

I love when the sides keep coming and actually taste fresh, and these definitely did. The grill experience was the highlight. Watching the marinated beef sizzle over the charcoal while it caramelized and crisped at the edges? Elite. The meat was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor -- especially dipped into the sesame oil sauce or that savory soy-based sauce with scallions. Every bite wrapped in lettuce with garlic and sauce was chef's kiss. And the yukhoe (beef tartare) was beautifully presented -- layered with avocado, topped with a glossy egg yolk and garlic slices.
