I was meeting a co-worker for a work meeting and we selected Viator Coffee. I am not often in the downtown Elgin and it is located in a Food Hall. Mid-morning the space was very busy and we had a hard time finding a table, but eventually did. I had the Honey Cinnamon Latte, it was smooth and the cinnamon was not overpowering. It was very flavorful. My co-worker had Mexican Matcha, and enjoyed it. The had a few bakery items, each were so intriguing, but we settled for the pomegranate honey cake. It was very moist and infused with a variety of spices, complimented by pomegranate. If I was in the area again, I definitely would be back to try some of their other items. read more

Very friendly staff and great coffee. Plenty of seating areas available inside as well as an outdoor patio - great place to get work done. Note that there is currently construction going on outside which can be heard inside...definitely bring headphones if you need to lock in or get work done! read more

Located in downtown Elgin within the food hall, Viator Coffee has great staff, great coffee and a great atmosphere! There are 2 floors at the food hall which provides plenty of seating. Comfy living room seating, tables with a long bench seating and your standard 4 chairs and a table seating. A friend and I chose to sit at a table that had those comfy cushion living room seats and we enjoyed ourselves. I tried the Mexican Mocha latte with oat milk and thought it was delicious. It was sweet, nutty and I'm going to assume packed with caffeine since I was pretty jittery, haha. It could have also been the sugar but moving along! It was nice to see latte art on it too. Always a fun thing to see when grabbing a latte. For food I tried the Wayfinder - Avocado toast which was OK. I'll probably pass on getting food from Viator coffee next time. We did a coffee cart with Viator for a family event and it was a huge hit. Our barista was awesome - super friendly, accommodating, professional, knowledgeable and just an overall great guy! He was busy crafting up amazing hot and iced coffee drinks for the guests - making good suggestions for people that couldn't make up their minds, and doing it all with so many distractions from our party around him. The drinks were delicious - my only regret is not enjoying more coffee. When the party was over I was kicking myself that I didn't order another latte. I tried the honey cinnamon latte, which was delicious. I highly recommend the cart for any parties and if I'm ever in the Elgin area, I'm surely stopping in for a latte. read more

Located inside Elgin's downtown Food Hall, Viator Coffee is one of many vendors in this space. Right inside to the left, you will find their ordering counter and menu displayed. There is a decent amount of seating in the space but no outlets to plug in and work. They had quite a few intriguing coffee selections but I went with a hot lavender latte, my favorite. I enjoyed the latte art displayed when my drink was ready. I enjoyed the flavor and temperature of my coffee! I hope to stop by again, when in the area, to try some of their other offerings. read more

Probably the best coffee shop in Kane County. I love their cortados and lattes. They never fail to impress in that domain. Also their breakfast food is quite good! The Southern Hemisphere sandwich is sooo good that fresh tomato jam is so unique. The service is always good quality despite being busy. The ambience is nice it's fairly easy to find a place to sit and the seating area is nice and sunny. read more

This weekend in my birthday city confirms the purple yam latte is my all time favorite of the single flavored espresso brews, perfectly balanced; herbal rich winter moods against tingly summer sweet potato shouldn't work but oh it does. This place rocks, beautiful well lit, good wifi, even more for using the Joe app! We found easy parking, a beautiful well designed space but oddly lacking outlets on the second floor. Staff was friendly and quickly served up both our beverages. I cannot get enough, if anything like most places, the large is not large at all after one hour of casually adjusting my eBay store prices to entice the consumers like Prime Day. For me it is always a jungle fun sip when the coffee flavor syrups are made in house. None of that junky sugar goo in plastic, Viator knows what they are doing. Anyone coming from an addicted Starbucks life will need time to adjust to the proper ingredients here, just like thinking vinyl is the superior sound until a full Dolby surround system show the ears what's what! read more

Let me start by saying, this place is a fair distance from me. So when I ordered for delivery, I was prepared for it to be not as good as in person. If that's the case then Viator Coffee deserves 10 stars! The latte and chai I ordered (with lavender - I highly recommend!) were still hot and delicious. As a former barista professionally, I could taste the quality of my espresso, and the balance of flavors was expertly crafted. My sandwich (the Founders) needed reheating, which I expected going in; what I didn't expect was the egg yolk to still be PERFECTLY runny! Even after easily a 30minute drive + reheating, my over easy egg yolk provided a pristine signature BURST of gold. It was delicious, and the tomato jam was a good addition, one I was apprehensive about when ordering. Ill be convincing my husband it's worth the drive to visit in person soon! His taste for black coffee is particular, yet I'm confident Viator will excel where others have failed. read more

These people love their barista craft, and it shows in their creations. All the people here are very friendly and accommodating. Also they have a nice selection of "high quality coffee" pourovers. DavEv heard about the establishment's past baristas banding together to make a new coffee shop right around the same location, and we couldn't resist the urge to settle a score that's long been in limbo. This place is a gem in Elgin. Located in the food hall, has a very good vibe. The lavender latte was awesome. Very limited food options , I got the Southern Hemisphere and it was cooked fresh. If you are local, and don't know about this place, you missed out on a lot. If you are visiting Elgin, must try for great coffee. Somewhat difficult to find if you're just going by Google Maps (it's located within what I'd best describe as a small food court whilst I was looking for a particular building/entrance that was for this place. That said the coffee was great and the staff were friendly. I was there at a slow time (weekday afternoon) so I'm not sure if that influences things or not, but I'd recommend going there again. read more

Pretty awesome spot here in Elgin! Been waiting for a coffee shop like this to open up and it's finally here! It's a pretty great third-wave style shop with plenty of options for coffee nerds and for people who love a good latte. I got the pour over when I went and it was delicious, and the barista even reminded me of the tasting notes I should expect when she gave me my cup, which I thought was a nice touch! It's located in a food hall, so there is plenty of seating inside and outside to accommodate. Plus, being that it is in a food hall, it gives you close proximity to some pretty good eats. But if you're looking for something light, you may as well just get a pastry from Viator as they look to be freshly made and delicious (ALMOST got their spin on the poptart--looking forward to the next time I'm in to grab one)! Hooray! I yummy new coffee place in my neighborhood. I've come about three times and their coffee is nice and consistent, delicious every time. My favorite drink is the Mexican mocha, interestingly spiced and spicy! I love that you can order on your phone on the "Joe" app and customize things like making it a breve, extra sweet, etc (I like my lattes decadent). My only disappointment here was the first time I came I ordered some kind of cookie butter pastry and it tasted like it was three days old :( BUT that didn't stop me from coming back since the drinks are so good. I love when I find local coffee shops so I was excited to find a new one opened in Elgin. Sadly the two times I've gone in they haven't been the greatest. On my first trip, I ordered ahead on the Joe app for a counter pickup. It said my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I arrived exactly at the 15 minute mark and my order wasn't ready. It was a little tricky even figuring out where to go. After about 5 minutes I was acknowledged and said I was waiting for my order. They obviously hadn't even started it yet because they said they just ran out of oat milk. So they offered me one of the bottled drinks. It took about another 5 minutes for the Sandwich to come out. So in total it took about 25 minutes to get my order. I will say the latte was very good. The sandwich was okay. The biscuit was tender and fluffy but lacked flavor. I also tried the fruity pebbles cookie and was pretty disappointed. Definitely not worth almost $4. I wouldn't recommend it. I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt since they're a new place. I went back a few weeks later. Again, ordered ahead. Again, it wasn't ready when I got there. Not as long of a wait as the first time but if I order ahead, I would expect the order to be ready during the window promised. Got my order as is this time. I was able to get the honey cinnamon latte hot which was again, very good. I also gave the homemade pop tart a try but wasn't that impressed. I was expecting the crust to have a little more of a crisp but it was a bit chewy, almost stale. The filling and topping had a good taste though. I feel like they're trying and they're always nice. The coffee is great but I feel like the food and service need some work. If I could, I'd probably rate them 3.5 stars. read more
