The door continually opening and closing was annoying, and we also had insects flying in at us. The food was very so-so. 2 of us ordered the potato pancakes and found them dry and not very flavorful. Someone else ordered the Nutella crepes and was bummed to have a light drizzle of Nutella on the top, but no filling. The crepes were also dry. Our fourth person ordered the chicken and waffles and again, it was dry and flavorless. The chicken tenders looked barely cooked and definitely were from the freezer. It looked like a bland kids' meal. The food did come out quickly and we didn't have any mishaps. Every staff person we encountered from the hostess, waitress, and expo person were very lackluster. They seemed like they were bored to be there and didn't care if we were served well, or not. We came from a bit of a distance to try this place, and sadly, we won't be back.

I got the Neighbor Benedict, which was a mountain of gravy on top of a biscuit, two sausage patties, and two poached eggs and it included a healthy portion of hash browns with onions. The only thing that was a slight bummer was that this place is cash only, and we didn't know that coming in. Thankfully there was an ATM inside, but the fees were high and my bank charges fees on the other side, so the reasonable prices turned out to be just as expensive as anywhere else. I will bring cash next time and upgrade this review to five stars.

I stopped by Open Door Coffee, at Goebberts Farm, for a White Chocolate Raspberry Latte, and while the service was prompt and super friendly, the drink itself left me a little underwhelmed. The barista was welcoming, and my order was made quickly, which I always appreciate especially in a busy atmosphere. However, the latte tasted a bit watered down--lacking the rich, creamy texture and flavor punch I was expecting from something labeled "white chocolate" and "raspberry." The flavors were there, but just not as bold as I hoped. It was like the latte was missing that extra kick of sweetness. I'll give them another try because the staff was great, and maybe it was just an off day with the espresso machine. Hopefully, next time the flavors will be as strong as the service! read more
