I literally have never had ANY issue here with product or customer service and I frequent this location very often since it's not a long drive from my residence. I always have been satisfied with my order and have tried multiple menu items. I can count on this location getting my order wrong every single time. The workers here, now more than three different ones, have been beyond rude and shouldn't have a job working with people. Not only do they get the order wrong (a simple smoothie straight from the menu with no add-ins or changes) but they charge me for the wrong one and make me pay the rest in cash since they can't figure out how to do it with a credit card. Then they don't give me change. Absolutely ridiculous. After the price I pay and the long wait, you would expect them to be any type of apologetic when they get the order wrong, but instead they just make you pay more and don't give any change back. It is a shamed since I used to really enjoy Smoothie King, so much that I would ask for gift cards for every holiday. This was the location of the former Checkers. Was really excited to see a Smoothie King in its place. Went there but was overwhelmed by their menu. I wasn't looking for a healthy smoothie but a really simple fruit smoothie. I asked the employees who weren't super familiar with the menu if I can get a strawberry watermelon smoothie. He replied they didn't have watermelon but suggested a berry smoothie with mango. I said sure let's go w your suggestion. When he rang up my total my smoothie cost me over $10. I thought in my head wow this better be a good smoothie. It was so thick and lacked any good flavor. I waited for the smoothie to thaw a bit and literally drank so many strawberry seeds. This location has kinks to work out. They haven't been open long, and they have been way busier than the other location we go to. They also have 3-5 times the number of employees. I think the smoothies taste about the same, which is to say, great! My picky eater didn't love his today, but his tastes have been changing. I live close to this location and frequent often. The smoothies themselves are always great. However, every time that I visit, no matter the time of day the smoothie bowls are never available. I do not know why this is if they are on the menu? They should not be advertised of the product is never in stock!! It is ridiculous! There's one particular worker that works the drive-through at this location that I know it's her by her lack of customer service skills and privileged attitude, it's all the time and I visit often. Not to mention it's not just me. It others in the community that know exactly who she is. She has zero customer service skills and lacks people skills. It's like she hates working but her parents made her get a job. Shame on you, do better! Driving by and see this great sign and the place looks like it's fairly new. Guess I'll stop in and maybe get a cold smoothie on a super hot day! Walk in and there are 3 or 4 workers and not a one greets me. No one asks if I've been in before or even makes eye contact. Looking around I see it is geared toward a healthier smoothie and perhaps that they sell some workout supplements. Nothing wrong with that but not what I was looking for this day. I tried Smoothie King, ordered through the Smoothie King application that refused to provide any prices until you check out. The low carb option I chose and later researched had 20 carbs, that's not low carb. The option I chose also used questionable sweeteners whereas I would prefer it not have anything that was invented in a laboratory and needed to wait for FDA approval before being used as an ingredient. When I arrived to pick up my order the employee had a typical wage slave bad attitude that makes me regretful of even showing up. Finally the $8.09 smoothie had a very strange after taste that lingered long after consumption. On Friday of September 29,2023 I came to this particular smoothie king which I frequently visit, on the daily basis. I got the go go goji crunch bowl which is my favorite. I come here literally everyday before work. So that should tell you I like the bowl. Ok for some odd reason on this day I got my bowl when I pulled up to the window, I notice my bowl was lighter than usual. So after I notice that I asked the young lady at the window can I have extra granola. She states "that's the proper portion", I inform her that it never look so empty especially for me to be paying the price I paid for the bowl. Those bowls are almost $20 dollars. So of course I want to get what I paid for. I didn't make a big deal out of it so I told her " thank you" , and I drove off. Now when I took the lid off and notice I barely had any toppings an my açai wasn't full neither. So I turned back around to go into the store to just get a refund. I go into the store there I see the young lady in there, also it was a older lady which her name was Debbie. I'll insert a photo there of her. I'm not even sure if that's her real name, because I had to ask her three times for her to give me her name so I can report her to corporate about her nasty attitude. She told me they don't offer refunds which I knew was a fib. She said I can remake it for you, but it'll be the same amount. I told her I come here everyday I know how my bowls are supposed to look. I was trying to show her a photo on my phone of how it's supposed to originally look. she was mean In rude to me I didn't even get a chance to show her the pictures. She says to me "well I have new People working here which was also another fib. She was real sarcastic about it, so I told her "ok you don't have to talk to me like that". She picks the phone up, I said hello can I speak to a manager? She say this is a manager I said ok what's your name ? She said Debbie, what's yours? I said can I speak to your manager. She says to me" if this is the same lady from yesterday I told my manager about you in we decided that your not allowed back in the store we would talk to you later and hung the phone up on me. So I asked my friend to call up there in maybe she would get another reaction, but nooo the lady was as much rude to her as she was rude to me. And she is a new customer. She called to get her manager name in she hung the phone up on her as well. Now today I still haven't been able to still get in contact with anyone, because now I'm really livid in upset, I check my bank account in I see that my card was charged twice after I already had one pending transaction from Friday. So now something needs to be done immediately, so sense I can't get through to the actual smoothie king my mother called another smoothie king rep which is located in new Lenox. We told her the issue and she was concern, so she wanted to help us so she asked for my name and number an the smoothie king we was calling about. She said she was go call them to try to get the higher manager information. So she called me back to let me know when she called in let them know she was from another location in can she have his manager information he hung the phone up on her as well. I pulled into the drive thru which I was thrilled to see and stared at the menu for at least three minutes and finally a nice voice came on and said " can I help you decide"? I said YES - I just worked out and I want something that taste good and is good for my recovery or popular on this special $5 Friday. The gentleman names three different options and gives the ingredients and benefits. I choose the " peanut butter" something with coco. This location is very unprofessional the smoothies are not made how u think they are it is not worth 10+ dollars for a smoothie that isn't even made correctly and the blenders that were used to make them are not cleaned with soap they are briefly rinsed with water an re used the staff does not wash there hands all day some are high on the clock an have had many other reviews about them being under the influence there was even a lamp broke because of a high employe jumping on the counter and get this he still works there there and there are bugs in the establishment and there is dirt in the ice machine oh and don't forget to watch them when u pay with a card they might add a 10 dollar tip without your permission they should have been shut down there is always new staff every month for a reason . read more

I've been three times since opening. Once I sat in the drive-thru at the ordering speaker for about 15 mins and finally drove around to find them just hanging out. Another time I got stuck in the drive-thru for over 35 mins and then was super disappointed when my smoothie definitely had double the protein powder as usual but wasn't going to get back in line to order again and definitely wasn't going to unpack my baby to go into the store front- I've ordered it tons from various smoothie king locations and it has never tasted this way. I really hope this gets better as time goes on because I was so excited for this location to open so close to home! I think it needs more supervision from owners because it's quickly becoming a teen hangout with low focus on customer service. read more
