Their preorder system is incredibly smooth, though it does require a bit of planning since you need to order at least a day in advance, and they are closed on Mondays. I scheduled an order on a Friday for a Tuesday morning pickup. I picked up a dozen GF donuts and a half-dozen chocolate chip cookies, and both were fantastic. They offer a ton of different donut flavors, though the ordering system limits you to choosing three varieties per dozen. I went with the banana bread, chocolate with chocolate icing and the brown sugar with chocolate icing, and they did not disappoint. The cookies were just as impressive, hitting that perfect texture without any of the dryness you sometimes find in gluten-free baking. The shop itself is super cute and perfectly set up for a quick visit. All the preordered to-go items are neatly laid out on a cabinet for a seamless pickup. If you have some extra time, they also have drinks and food you can order at the counter, a shared parking lot that makes stopping by a breeze, and a nice outdoor seating area. I will definitely be back to mix and match some new flavors next time.

I love local coffee joints so stroll by, took a look and gave it a go. Nice, little, quaint shop. Only a few seating spots, but that was fine with me since I got a spot. Of course yelp told me what to do. - Iced Shakerrado + mint - Good. Love me some mint in my coffee. - Chocolate Crossiant - I should be watching carbs, but I just had to... this was yum. Totally worth it.. mentally and emotionally. Physically I don't know. I am pretty sure I'll be coming here in the future since well, I still need regular oil changes and such... But until next time. They have a lot of different syrup options! I didn't really like the latte that much and couldn't really taste the syrup almost as if it wasn't added. Maybe it's just because I prefer my lattes a lot more sweet and creamy, and this one tasted more like black coffee.

Dear Coffee Haus Owner,…read more I'm disappointed with my recent experiences at your business, and it's especially unfortunate because I've been a customer since the days when your predecessor first started the business. I still remember seeing the old man at Costco carefully picking out the best kiwis. Those memories are part of what made Coffee Haus special to me, which is why it's disappointing to see some of these issues. I recently stopped by your South Elgin location, and I'd like to share a few concerns. First and foremost, as a business owner, I believe customers should receive the exact change they are owed. Please don't tell customers that there are no pennies and simply round the change down. If you are unable to provide exact change, the customer should not be the one losing money. At the very least, the amount should be rounded in the customer's favor. Better yet, make sure the register has the necessary change to give customers the correct amount. Second, when I place an order and am told that there is no tapioca, it's extremely frustrating. If a particular ingredient is essential to the products you advertise and serve, it seems reasonable to expect that you would have adequate inventory to meet customer demand. Finally, please address the condition of the bathroom. It was unpleasantly smelly and did not feel clean or presentable. I also noticed what appeared to be gang-related markings on the back of the bathroom door. The bathroom is part of the customer experience, and its condition can leave a lasting impression about the overall cleanliness and management of a restaurant. I'm sharing this because I have a history with Coffee Haus and genuinely want to see the business maintain the quality and reputation that made customers like me keep coming back. I hope you'll take these concerns seriously and make the necessary changes.
