This place is connected to a restaurant next door and has cute vibe and a little place to sit and take pictures. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Jasmine milk tea with boba, and sadly were a little disappointed. The boba was a little too "gel-y" and the milk tea tasted pretty watery. I might try a different tea if I went back. Overall, cute vibes and hopefully the boba and milk tea game here will step up a little in the future.

This place is right by my school and it's a fan favorite between me and my friends! They're super yummy and have such a cute space inside. I didn't realize my drink didn't come with tapioca, but the barista added it in with no extra cost! She was super sweet. Every-time I've been here it's been a good experience, I definitely recommend :)

I looked up highly rated Vietnamese restaurants and found Tasty House 1 in Carol Stream. This place is everything we anticipated it to be. The location is nice and has parking in front, inside is super spacious and had a relaxing and breathable ambiance. We ordered a family appetizer platter that came with all the delicious Vietnamese appetizers like: spring rolls, bbq marinated meat, fried eggrolls, grilled jumbo shrimp, meat wrapped in betel leaf, lettuce, noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, daikon, jalapeños, two dipping sauces: peanut butter hoisin and Vietnamese fish sauce. Another appetizer we got separately was the fried calamari which had a great crunchy texture, the absolute best! For our entrees I decided to build my own pho and chose tripe, rib eye steak and quail eggs. My husband got the spicy beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue). This is honestly the best Vietnamese we've ever had in our lives!!!! I'm so glad I found this place. Awesome service, food and atmosphere. Zero complaints everything was very fresh and perfect. Our hearts left super happy.

There is a separate vegan menu with half a dozen things on it, and other than the drinks and desserts, pretty much nothing on the regular menu is vegetarian. (The papaya salad, which is on the vegan menu, is a ringer: it contains fish sauce.) You've got your choice of various fruit lemonades, bubble teas, popping bubble teas, jellies, etc. Desserts include flan, Vietnamese yogurt, coconut jelly - none of which you'll be eating onsite as you'll be too full after your entree. Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people. All of whom were happy.

The inside is a mess of random literal stuff (emory boards and piñatas??). None of the 4 menu screens work. There is one POS system and a brunch of printed menus scattered around without any organization. Nothing appears to be made in-house. The bubble teas all come from mixes. I will say even though I did not get the Korean corn dog I ordered, the one I got was edible. However, the inside was overcooked and it fell in my lap because the stick was ineffective. Not worth a stop unless you are desperate. The ownership obviously doesn't care, why should I?

Well I finally decided to try it for dinner when we had no plans. You order on a touch screen so you don't have pressure while making decision which I love but also you don't really get to interact with the staff. The food took a significant amount of time for our food to be ready but the place although small is really cute with K-pop videos on so we were entertained. Unfortunately, the food was very okay. Now they do come out looking delicious but the flavor profiles are a lot less than what you'd expect. I wouldn't try it again unless someone else was paying because we didn't find the food worth the price.

The burgers were hands down some of the best I've had they were cooked just right juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. The puddings are also craveworthy and sooooo delicious. Highly recommend the banana. But steer clear of the wings... the sauces are bland and they're smaller side, not worth the money imo. Note: the burgers are cooked to a medium rare or medium by default, so ask for it cooked extra if that bothers you. 2nd Note: the owners are Muslim and this location does "soft close" at noon for 30 minutes for mid day prayer. If you're dining in, you can stay, and if you order online they ask you knock and the non Muslim staff will bring you your pickup order, Overall, with a mostly good and fairly priced menu, friendly staff and a nice and clean restaurant with a good vibe, I think this a hidden gem in the area.

The entry is super spacious then dining area completely to the side. There is both an ordering counter and kiosk which has menu item photos (super helpful!). The pricing all across the board seemed a bit high. I got the burger slider, my fiancé a spicy chicken slider, and we split a fry. There isn't complimentary water so we had to pay for that as well. We took a seat to wait for the food and immediately noticed a smell from the cleaner they use to wipe the tables; for sure musty smell. Our food didn't take too long and we really enjoyed everything we got. It was a bit messy so we washed our hands before leaving. The bathrooms were not clean with dirt and dust in the corners and sink with hair in it. The individual working the counter clearly was sitting on his phone when no one was ordering or in the back kitchen at points leaving no staff member visible to guests. This also wasn't ideal in my mind. If reviews were solely based on food, this would be another story. Sadly while the food was good, my overall experience wasn't ideal. I now understand the mixed reviews. I would maybe carry out only in the future.

My mom is a vegetarian so this was definitely a surprise and ideal option! 5) Bun Dau Mam Tom - This can be a mess to wrap the fried tofu, steamed pork, rice noodles, and shrimp paste in lettuce. Everything went well together and the shrimp paste has a slight kick to it. 6) Soft shell crab fried rice - The soft shell crab is crunchy and came with a generous portion of fried rice. We did not try the banh mi but we did buy a bag of freshly baked baguettes to go. Each bag comes with three baguettes. If you buy one bag, it is $3. However, if you buy two bags, it is cheaper at $5. The baguettes held up really well for our home-made sandwiches.
