I'm so glad I did, it was absolutely worth it! The shortcake was warm, soft, and incredibly moist. The ice cream was rich and creamy, and although the strawberries were still slightly frozen, they complemented the dessert really well. This visit completely changed my impression of the place. I left very happy and will definitely be coming back, especially while the strawberry shortcake is still in season.

They offer a variety of items and toppings all focused on their famous custard. They have seasonal/monthly featured flavors which is nice. I got a seasonal Smores Jackhammer (vanilla custard, hot fudge, graham crackers, marshmallow center filling). The medium-size cost just under $10 which is a premium. My husband and I shared it and it was delicious. I wish they did more specials or offers to get the cost down so I would be inclined to visit more often.

The inside was really clean and the staff were all very friendly. Ordered using the kiosks which was nice but it would be nice if the menu provided some more info about each drink. I'm sure the staff would've been happy to answer any questions but I also didn't want to be a bother. I ordered two iced brown sugar coffees with boba and 80% sugar and they were good but still a little too sweet for our taste. Next time we'll probably go for 50% sugar level. Would try again if I were in the area or saw one of thwir other locations.

Our Experience was good, not great…read more We did some research about all of the local ice cream places and our kids picked Kurimu because it seemed to be the most unique. Initial impression wasn't great... The smell was really the main reason why. The shop itself definitely had a smell, I can't really describe what it was but it was not pleasant. There was one person working, he was polite but did not have much personality. Most of our questions were met with him telling us that we ordered "over there" as he points to the register. It just did not have a very welcoming energy. Only of our kids got ice cream as the flavors did not catch them like they had hoped it would. My Youngest got a coconut ice cream with waffle cone (she loved it), it was a subtle coconut flavor but very refreshing. My oldest daughter got a match drink w boba, hers was also good but not her favorite. I ended up getting the soft serve mix (Tofu/Black Sesame) which was definitely unique and I did enjoy it but no one else i was with did. After checking out, we were offered free stickers which was a nice gesture and I talked about their Japanese Car theme which seemed to liven up the man working momentarily. My family was not impressed but I enjoyed the experience. Very unique compared to what we are used to seeing. I would most likely return, but I am not confident my family would follow.

The Dead Kennedys had a song about this place:…read more "Too young! Too young to f***" I walked into Daisy's, looked behind the counter, and immediately felt like Chris Hansen was going to rappel through the ceiling. The P.O.A. Index wasn't merely unavailable, it had been confiscated by the State of Illinois, sealed in an evidence bag, and transported somewhere my lawyer strongly advised me not to follow. Everyone working there looked so young that instead of wondering whether anyone was attractive, I started wondering when everyone's mother was coming to pick them up. One girl asked what flavor I wanted and I nearly replied, "Whatever people ate before you were born." This wasn't an ice cream run anymore. This was a mortality check. I entered Daisy's as a reasonably youthful man looking for dessert and walked out mentally pricing burial plots and wondering whether Costco sells Metamucil by the pallet. Fortunately, the ice cream was excellent... except for the non-sensical names. Besides the one labeled "smores" it was like trying to decide the enigma machine from WWII. If one can decipher the flavors... the ice cream is rich, creamy, enormous portions, exactly the kind of old-school neighborhood ice cream that makes you temporarily forget you've apparently become old enough to have employees serving you who don't remember a world before smartphones. Five stars... begrudgingly. I went in wanting a cone. I came out eligible for a reverse mortgage.

I loveeeee this location of La Michoacana!…read more I've been here twice the last 2 weeks and both times were such a pleasant experience. This La Michoacana is located in a strip mall with easy parking right in front of the shop. They have a couple tables inside and outside - the first time we sat inside and the second time we sat outside. Easy parking and a clean, spacious place! The service here is superb. Everyone is so friendly and you'll be taken care of ASAP. I'd say there's consistent traffic here - customers are always walking in and out. Now time for the food.... If you've been to La Michoacana, you'll know what I mean. The Mexican snacks and desserts here are authentic with a bit of a modern twist (Takis drenched in nacho cheese and jalapeños for example). I LOVE the food here, all the way from their paletas , to their fruit and yogurt, to their nachos, to their elotes. I'm convinced La Michoacana has the best elotes around, same with paletas and agua frescas. My favorite stuff to get here are the strawberry and mango agua frescas, mangonada, elote, and literally any of their paletas. The prices here are also beyond affordable - for a "small" agua fresca (I use quotation marks for "small" because it's literally bigger than a Grande from Starbucks) is 2.99! Paletas also range from $2-5. You'll leave here full, happy, and wanting to come back again. Great service and snacks - like I said earlier, I love this location of La Michoacana!

A strange kind of combination but it's good. This is great when feeling all shitty and wanting easy meals. Basically at the front there's a counter. It's got a display case of lots of cupcakes and pastries. These are just one part of the menu though. Another thing is the teas which are full of fruity flavor. It's about $5 to get a large. The Lychee Jasmine Tea was good stuff. Also there's ramen and there's tons of flavors. They have a few that are vegan. It's about $6 to get a bowl. They have machines that look like coffee pots that cook the ramen for you. Came out quite hot and was steaming so had to let it sit a bit. These come in the packs that look like the cheap stuff but this is much better quality to be honest. For sure it's got more than expected. It's located on Golf Road at Roselle Road. There's some of the ramen okay for vegans and vegetarians.

Would not reccomned here is why: Customer service: One specific employee was rude to my older parents and I. My parents andI went in and an employee, and older ladyolder lady asked me what I wanted. I said I was still deciding. My parents were standing next to me and instead of asking them for their order she just walked away. Another employee told her we were trying to order. She waved her arms in the air to that employee and said "they don't want anything." Right in front of us and loud enough that we heard her. She looked annoyed and walked away. We then had to wait a few minutes while the other employees helped other costumer. Then when the lady saw another customer come in, she came out, ignored us and went to help them. I told her, "but we were here first (still need help with order)," and she said "somebody else will take your order." That's just disrespectful, unprofessional. The paletas are very good! However, it's a shame that the customer service, from this one employee, was so bad. A product being good is not enough to keep people coming back. Customer service is the greatest factor in the success of a business. I know La Michoacana is a big chain and it will not fail as a company from one bad review, but good reputation needs to be sustained.
