The Dead Kennedys had a song about this place: "Too young! Too young to f***" I walked into Daisy's, looked behind the counter, and immediately felt like Chris Hansen was going to rappel through the ceiling. The P.O.A. Index wasn't merely unavailable, it had been confiscated by the State of Illinois, sealed in an evidence bag, and transported somewhere my lawyer strongly advised me not to follow. Everyone working there looked so young that instead of wondering whether anyone was attractive, I started wondering when everyone's mother was coming to pick them up. One girl asked what flavor I wanted and I nearly replied, "Whatever people ate before you were born." This wasn't an ice cream run anymore. This was a mortality check. I entered Daisy's as a reasonably youthful man looking for dessert and walked out mentally pricing burial plots and wondering whether Costco sells Metamucil by the pallet. Fortunately, the ice cream was excellent... except for the non-sensical names. Besides the one labeled "smores" it was like trying to decide the enigma machine from WWII. If one can decipher the flavors... the ice cream is rich, creamy, enormous portions, exactly the kind of old-school neighborhood ice cream that makes you temporarily forget you've apparently become old enough to have employees serving you who don't remember a world before smartphones. Five stars... begrudgingly. I went in wanting a cone. I came out eligible for a reverse mortgage. read more

My husband and I went to Daisy's Ice Cream for a late snack. At 9:30 there was a long line out the door. I can see why. They serve Chocolate Shoppe ice cream (a premium brand) and they have great prices. We shared a four scoop cup for $7.99!!! It's a good thing they haven't heard about inflation. They also have unique flavors like pb&j. The decorations are super fun. I highly recommend Daisy's Ice Cream! read more

Date night!!! Decided to go get dessert and a go to is Daisy's Ice Cream. There is always a long line but it goes pretty quickly, plus it gives you time to make a choice! There is both indoor and outdoor seating! Parking is easy! I selected the cinnamon roll sundae. Which is a cinnamon roll base with choice ice cream and toppings. Vanilla and chocolate syrup was my choice. The ice cream was rich and creamy was a good amount. The cinnamon roll was a bit disappointing, as the roll reminded me of boxed cinnamon rolls you would get at Costco. I was expecting a homemade roll. Overall, in love the ice cream and I plan on just getting that in the future. The speciality products, I'll stay away. read more

We swung by here after eating at a nearby restaurant for a little dessert. This is a small place with just a few tables. They have a lot of VERY cool memorabilia on the walls, which is worth a look no matter what. The staff are super helpful, but the store can get very busy, so have a little patience. The best part of this place is the ice cream, of course. They have a ton of really unique and delicious flavor combinations. Not all are obvious (what is "Exhausted Parent"? But once you know that it's Bourbon-spiked espresso ice cream swirled with bittersweet chocolate chunks, it makes total sense). So ask if you're not sure. Swing by here for a quick treat or a wonderful part of date night! read more

Daisy's is our favorite local ice cream shop - they have yummy flavors and the best service. At any given time, you can see families and teenagers there hanging out and having fun. I wish they had more indoor seating but we like to stand outside and gossip while enjoying the ice cream cones too. read more

The ultimate treat! In my house there's going for ice cream and then there's going to Daisy's, and that's the big one! Daisy's has delicious ice cream and friendly staff. Their flavors rotate seasonally and everything we've ever tried is yummy! My son's big ask is a Daisy's ice cream cake for his birthday and they don't disappoint! read more

Daisy's is so great! Our family loves it. The ice cream is great (Chocolate Shoppe for the win!), the atmosphere is great, the staff are great (and move through the line efficiently on busy nights), and we always look forward to our next visit. Special shout out to Madison, who went out of her way to help us out with an ice cream cake for a special occasion! read more

Ice cream was great, unfortunately evening was ruined due to the girls horrible attitude. Been here twice at different times and two of the girls working 09/03/26 were making faces to customers along with us. What a shame! read more

So fun here--it's got retro vibes and a little bit of indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. There are kid scoops which are actually a very generous scoop haha--more than our kids could finish. What we got: - Mint Chocolate - Raspberry Rhapsody So good! There are some dark chocolate chunks in the raspberry rhapsody, so it's sweet without being overly sweet. The ice cream has a really nice thick, creamy consistency--it tastes like good quality ice cream and not like Hershey's or whatever brand you can purchase at the grocery store. Such a great little local spot for the summer days! read more

I love Daisy's because they are literally the only place that serves malts that is near me. Their ice cream is great and it has a great atmosphere. Ask for extra chocolate syrup on the chocolate malts, though. I went there on Mother's Day and the malt was great but definitely not very chocolatey. I would give it 4 and 1/2 stars read more

Delish!!! We loved it! (Would have given 5 stars but seating options were limited between loud inside and not shady outside.)

Delicious ice cream! I stopped in for a treat yesterday and was very impressed by the ice cream and the employee working the counter! She seemed to be holding down the fort solo and there were four parties in line for ice cream (including me.) She wasn't ruffled, she just helped everyone in an efficient manner and got stuff done, kudos! I had the Kitty Kitty Bang Bang ice cream, which is Oreo cheesecake with raspberry swirl, and it was delicious! For the small, you still get a lot of ice cream (2 scoops.) The interior is themed to a cool music/record shop, with photos of posters on the wall and this groovy sign (see photo.) They had some games you could play if you were staying to eat the ice cream, which is a nice touch. Would definitely come back! read more

A time-and-true neighborhood favorite! Daisy's always hits the spot with classic ice cream flavors that everyone loves. The regular ice cream is super creamy and delicious, and you can even customize it into a cookie sandwich which is a major win! Also, bring your dog and they'll snap a Polaroid of them for the pup wall which is obviously adorable. The only downside is that there's only one dairy-free option, a strawberry italian ice, which wasn't my favorite. But to be fair, i'm not big on italian ice. Still, it's a charming, nostalgic stop that's always worth it read more

This was disappointing. The service was sub par, the ice cream selection lacking. There were no descriptions of the ice cream so if the tag had a quirky name you just had to guess what the flavor really was. I finally chose a flavor, blackberry lemon, and was not impressed. The only reason I picked it was because I felt rushed. I won't be making an effort to go back anytime soon. read more

If you have any questions on what flavor to get (cause there are about 30 different ones to choose from) the "Fat Elvis" or the "Banana Cream Pie" are absolutely delicious!! Aside from the great ice cream, the employees are young but are always kind. The line is typically out the door anytime after work hours so it's a brief interaction, but I have no complaints! read more

Excellent premium ice creams here! All ice cream comes exclusively from a dairy shoppe in Wisconsin. It's been in business here for over 30 years. Cool decor and fun music playing. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy your ice cream bliss! They have a lot of neat flavors and fusions. Shakes, malts, cakes, pies, lava cake, a la mode, splits and sundaes. Since this was the first visit, We ordered the "Patsy" which consists of 4 scoops you select. Servers were ready to take our order and happy to serve! All flavors were very good, creamy with huge chunks of chocolate, nice ribbons of caramel, deep cocoa flavor and generous scoop portion. The vanilla could have used more flavor. It was flat tasting. Could have been just this batch? As this is premium ice cream, I would have liked to have seen some real vanilla bean flecks in the ice cream. read more

My first visit to Daisy's ice cream was a great one! Daisy's serves the same brand/flavors as The Spot in Arlington Heights and Covered Bridge Creamery in Long Grove, along with a large menu of other sweet treats. Their scoops are generous and the staff was friendly and helpful. We ate at one of the small tables inside and enjoyed the fun decor. I'd definitely return to try other flavors and concoctions. read more

Have gone here for several years - just never thought to write a review. Independent ice cream place with about 16 choices of ice cream, a half-dozen sundaes, variations such as ice cream sandwiches, and some drinks. There are several board games and a few tables inside, and also several tables outside. During warm weather, the place is always crowded with a line out the door. The wait staff is generally local high school and college students who take pride in their work. Several are neighborhood kids that I know. A step up from the chains. read more

I'm sure Daisy's is very good. Our experience could have been better. They clearly advertise that they offer a variety of Vegan Ice cream. After standing in a line for over 10-minutes, when we asked what they had we were told their supplier didn't come through and they wouldn't have any until at least 2023. The shop is cool - small but nicely decorated. They really should modify their advertising. read more

First time here last night. Very happy with our visit. The young ladies behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. Lots of ice cream choices. I had the Strawberry Shortcake and Coconut Almond Bliss. SS was just ok. Didn't really get the shortcake part. The CAB was fantastic. I love coconut and almonds and the chocolate bits just added to the bliss. My wife loved both of her choices and there were quite a few we would love to come back to try. Definitely a go to place in my book. read more

Stopped in late at night with my sister since she had a craving for some ice cream. I got two scoops: cinnamon stick and praline pecan. Both were creamy in texture and had a good taste, but praline pecan definitely was the better one. My sister got a brownie sundae with "exhausted parent" which is a coffee ice cream infused with rum and chocolate shavings. WHOA. I took a curious bite of it & even before I held the spoon to my mouth, I could smell the booze. Unfortunately my sister couldn't finish it, she found it too boozy for her liking. Take of that what you will! Service was good, since it was late (10:30) there wasn't anyone in line before us. The establishment itself only has about 4 tables and if it was busy, there would definitely not be a lot of room in there. I can see people either really loving this place or finding it just okay. I'm a bit in the middle overall. read more

Creamy ice cream with lots of flavors. There are lots of options--malt, sundae, etc. They give very generous servings at very good prices. The "small" size is 2 scoops with your choice of cup, sugar cone, or cake cone. I got a small sugar cone with Heaps of Love and ZanZimint flavors. The Heaps of Love had tons of mix-ins: Oreo bits, caramel swirl, chocolate swirl, pecans. There was a Mint Avalanche flavor with Andes mints and chocolate swirl, but I chose the ZanZimint to try the Zanzibar chocolate flavor. It was rich and dark and smooth, and I could taste the punch of mint. Too bad the credit card reader was down when we went, so it was cash only. read more

Daisy's is a great place if you are looking for some good ice cream. They are open late on weekends (11:30pm). Seems to be favorite of high schoolers (and families) in that area. Their menu is extensive from ice creams, to banana splits, to malts and shakes. Another good thing about this place is you can taste the ice cream before buying. A lot of places have stopped that because of covid but Daisy's has not. This was only our second time here so we tried the following ice cream: 1. Banana Split - you can pick what ice cream you would like but generally it comes with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Because they ran out of strawberry ice cream, they substituted it with espresso per our choice. They give plenty of chocolate sauce and pineapple preserves on top. They also will give nuts if you request it. 2. Coconut ice cream - very tasty and creamy with coconut shavings in it. 3. Peanut Butter Cookie Dough - also very good. 4. Lazy Susan - here you can pick 4 ice cream flavors and they give it to you in boat shaped plastic. 5. German Chocolate Cake - this is a nice chocolate ice with walnuts and coconut shavings. Do give this mom&pop ice cream shop a try if you are in the neighborhood. read more

Absolutely love this place. The best place for some post-dinner ice cream. They serve Wisconsin's Chocolate Shoppe ice cream and they are open pretty late, even on the weekdays. I have only been to this place post-COVID, so I don't know how it is like with people sitting inside, but the interior is decorated in a cute-retro style and has board games for people to play with. I love ordering the Lazy Daisy as it is 4 half-scoops of 4 flavors and it is perfect to share with one other person. Depending on the worker, the half-scoop is a lot bigger than you would think! At only $4.50, the Lazy Daisy is a STEAL. If you love a certain flavor, you can always ask them to make a pint for you to-go! For smaller appetites, they have kid sizes and single scoops for about $2-3 which is also a great deal. Their flavors rotate and you can ask for a certain flavor if you don't see it, they may have it in the back. My favorite flavors have been: Zanzibar chocolate, black cherry and pistachio. What are yours? read more

Imagine the tastiest creamiest ice cream topped with a variety of quality sauces and candies. Now stop imaging, get in your car and drive over to Daisy's to get exactly that. It's right next door to the Taco Shop, in fact, we went to eat some tacos, got in our car then noticed Daisy's. We jumped on Yelp to see what they were all about while we watched literally everyone exiting the Taco Shop and go directly into Daisy's for dessert. That was enough testimonial for us. We got out of our car and did the same. Daisy's doesn't skimp on the quality of ingredients or the quantity of the servings. This little ice cream shop on the corner of the strip mall is full of very high quality, chocolate shoppe ice cream custard from wisconsin, and it is very yummy! I love the variety of ice cream options available, as well as the multitude of different ice cream sandwich/topping options available. I have tried and enjoyed the brownie fudge sundae, and also the waffle cones. My only problems with this spot is the limited seating- around 10 seats indoors when it's cold out, and some seating outside. Also, the music can be REALLY loud sometimes I can barely hear myself think. The ice cream quality and value, however, is pretty great so we continue to keep coming back again and again.
