This was my second time here! I got the iced banana cream latte w/ oat milk for the second time! I am usually not one to get sweet drinks but I am obsessed with this drink. It's sweet, but not too sweet. The large iced latte is also great, it has 3 shots of espresso which makes the ratios perfect. My boyfriend and I also got the Bacon egg and cheese, sausage egg and cheese, and the Korean chicken cheesesteak sandwich! Also super yummy. Cant wait to check out the other new location in Park Ridge! The vibe and aesthetic are also so cute in here! Love the simple design! It is located inside the train station, so while it was busy both times I went I received my food and drinks super fast! I am super picky with where I spend my money on coffee/matcha, but this is one of the few places in the area worth it!! read more

The drinks here are really a delicious suck I got the ube latte which is really thick so if you like your drinks more watery or thinner this might not be for you. It does have condensed milk in it. But the flavor of the new base is so rich so delicious it's not over sweet I definitely would come back if I was ever in Chicago again. My friend also got a drink I want to say she got the banana flavor I could be wrong but more than once she looked at me and said I chose the right coffee shop read more

This coffee shop is inside the Metra station. There's plenty of parking available nearby but some of it might be paid parking. Since it's inside a train station, it's dog friendly! We came with our whole family and we liked our drinks so much the first visit, we came back for breakfast a few days later. The breakfast sandwich was okay. I tried the Meg which has bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese on a brioche bun. The coffee is definitely good though. We'll be going back with the whole family soon. read more

Found this little gem of a cafe randomly as I needed coffee while in the area for a family event. I may be biased because I'm half Filipino but I absolutely love the menu because they do have familiar Filipino flavors like Ube, Calamansi and coconut. Ordered 2 different Ube drinks and both were delicious. I'm rarely in this area when I'm in town but if I were I'd return so please do try it! read more

Brew Coffee Lab - Ube latte and boba - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Des Plaines, Illinois

Their drinks are fantastic. I wish that they weren't so hard to get to (sometimes, anyway) because I was really happy with the drinks I picked up. The parking situation is just the spaces to the east of the station, which I thought were for train parking but apparently they are 15 minute spaces--just sometimes it's a busy place I suppose. Anyway, they had a huge list of specials when I stopped in. I was going to get a chai latte but when I saw they had a raspberry hot chocolate I couldn't pass it up. And it was an excellent choice, truly delicious. It was super thick and smooth and an excellent concoction; I don't know if I've seen this before and not sure why more places don't incorporate something like this into their February/Valentine's specials. I also picked up a butterscotch latte and sugar cookie latte for my friends and both of them were gushing over how great they tasted. This is one of those coffee spots that is worth supporting, especially over the Starbucks' of the world, so it's worth your time if your around. read more

I've gotten coffee/food from here couple times and both have been excellent! I've ordered prior to boarding my train and the service was speedy and the Ube latte & breakfast sandwich were super tasty! The second time I've order through Uber Eats & the service was also speedy and both items were good! I got the coral blue #5 & buffalo chicken sandwich & they were both perfect temperature and flavorful! I'll be ordering trying more for sure! read more

This charming cafe is located inside the Metra station in downtown Des Plaines. The vibe is chill and their menu has alot to offer from coffee, boba, and snacks. As a filipino, of course I ordered an iced ube latte. And lemme tell you... it was the smoothest & creamiest latte I've ever had!!!! So delicious. So high quality. The sweetness was perfection. I'm very particular about ube flavoring in drinks or food and they have perfected it to a tee. I could see myself driving out of the way to get coffee here! read more

Brew Coffee Lab is a fun experience! The coffee shop is connected to the Des Plaines Metra stops so, firstly, it has a unique vibe to the shop. Second, it's a family owned shop which is really cool. They have family photos around the shop and an extensive menu. The barista was really cool to order from, answered all of my questions, and also elaborated that his older brother owns it and all the photos are of the brothers themselves so that was cool to see. I got The Maurice, iced, which is a latte with Nutella and chai. I also asked for oat milk and the drink was so good, I drank it all before I even got back to my car. Next time though, I'll order food! They had Filipino food type of snacks and sandwiches so that'll be exciting for next time! read more

EASY add to Top Five coffee spots I've now been to in the Chicagoland burbs. Brew Coffee Lab has been open for 2 years and is located in the downtown Des Plaines train station (which can make parking a bit difficult). Their quality of coffees and teas as well as flavor profiles quickly makes up for that. Looking at the menu, it was hard to decide what to pick! I ended up deciding on the La Vie En Rose which mixed rose syrup with white mocha and espresso. The flavors balanced well off each other and tasted great. My partner got the London Fog which they made fresh for him! The 5 minute wait was worth it because it may have been one of the best London Fogs I've tried! Pricing was very fair and there's something for everyone on the menu. Not sold yet? This cute coffee shop is owned and ran by three brothers. The youngest brother was working there and explained some of the backstory as well as the witty decor displayed. This is the epitome of a small business to support! Cannot wait for the next time I will be in the area to try another drink flavor! read more

One of my favorite coffee spots. The coffee is always great, and I usually grab a bag of beans to take home too.

I'm not a coffee guy, but my coffee shop go-to is always a chai latte~ Drinks here are nice, a little heavy on the syrup, which is nice if you're into sweeter drinks. Specifically on their Ubechatta Latte and Banana Chai Latte. Staff here is nice and friendly as well :D read more

Based on their unsweetened oatmilk matcha latte I would give this spot zero stars. No matcha taste. It was warm oatmilk with a slight tint. I went and got a Starbucks unsweetened oatmilk matcha latte right after. You can see the color comparison in the pic. If in the area I may try their coffee but def not a matcha again! read more

For a coffee shop near the metro, I didn't know what to expect. Luckily, what I got was great. I ordered the Ube latte, and I enjoyed it as much as others I have had throughout Chicago. It is hard to say we're I'd rank this among the other offerings I have found for ube lattes, but I can say that you won't be dissatisfied with this one. It was smooth and silky with a subtle sweetness from the ube flavor. I am not sure what espresso brand they are using, but it's presence was noticeable in a good way. Service was quick, but a bit rushed as I had no time to specify my milk choice for the latte. I did come in roughly 20 minutes before closing, so I can understand wanting to be done for the day. There were also many other unique options for lattes, so there is something everyone could joy it seems. I do recommend using half & half (breve) in lattes for a silkier texture and smoother taste. read more

Driving, this place could be missed. If it's taste tantalizing coffee that's desired, don't miss this place! It's in the MP train station. Our order: #1 Daughter - Brown Sugar Dolce (triple shot) whole milk and #1 daughter companion - Honeymilk (cinnamon and honey (request: a little less sweet)). The BSD got a yum on the first sip. Definitely a get-again. For the honeymilk, the sweetness was a concern and asked about. The barista suggested a little less sweet on the honey ingredient. Perfecto! Definitely a get-again too. read more

Small space and new so it was crowded. No where to sit when I went but the interior is so fun and welcoming! We enjoyed our drinks, although I do wish the matcha in the ube matcha latte was stronger but the ube portion had great flavor. Loved the chocolate banana cream latte! read more

This was probably the worst coffee I've ever had. My latte cup was not full and it was warm not hot. And, was I actually drinking coffee in there or was it just tasteless milk? Also, why do they only offer oat or pistachio milk? Oat is so inflammatory and pistachio does not make a tasty latte. On top of that, they're slooowww! read more

GREAT coffee. Like: really awesome beverages all around. I love the banana chai and ube latte. SO many other awesome options. Sandwiches are great. Nice staff, too! Always very kind Just don't order if your train/bus is almost there, you might have to choose between your order and your ride. Had heard a lot about Brew coffee lab and decided to give it a try. We ordered the pistachio donut latte, white mocha croffle and Ferraro rocher croffle. This was the first time I had ever heard about croffle. What an interesting cross of a croissant and a waffle. The pistachio donut latte had a weird aftertaste maybe because of the syrup used but wasn't bad overall. I didn't try the croffle as I was getting it for a friend but it did look delicious. The service was very slow though. We had to wait easily for 15-20 mins. It's a small cafe close to the des plaines station. read more

So we get to the rental car desk at O'Hare and long story short car won't be ready for 3 hours. Took the bus 18 minutes to the Des Plaines train station to try Brew Coffee Lab. It was definitely the right decision. First gotta say Peanut Butter Cup Croffle. Try take a croissant and cook it in a waffle maker and cover it with chocolate and crushed peanut butter cups. It was insanely good. But washtub about the coffee?, you ask. Well, the coffee is legit. Deep roast flavor with tons of hot and cold options. Great breakfast sandwiches, milk tea, fruit teas and juice. Highly recommend and don't forget to tip everything is house made so give yourself time to get it before your train leaves. Or if you're in the area stop and you won't regret it. Also some cool Filipino flavors in some dishes and drinks. read more

This is such a cool spot to grab a cup of coffee! I was in the area and wanted a latte after lunch, and came across Brew Coffee Lab thanks to Yelp! Do not be hesitant to try this place out just because it it located inside the Des Plaines train station. They have an a large part of the station dedicated to their business (spacious counter and kitchenette). There were only two workers taking orders and making drinks. For 1pm on a Sunday, there was a small line of people waiting to place their orders, so we did have to wait a bit longer than what I am used to. However, the drinks are definitely worth the wait! I am a huge fan of pistachio flavored drinks, so when I saw there was a Pistachio Donut latte, I had to order it! It tasted just as good as the name implies. The pistachio flavor was evidently there, but did not overpower the almost cake like flavor of the donut part. My parents split the iced ube latte and could not stop raving about it. The ratio to espresso and milk was perfect, with the ube flavor being subtle yet flavorful! Brew Coffee Lab is a unique spot to get a cup of coffee. The menu is very extensive, with Filipino inspired drinks such as Calamansi Juice with Lychee Jelly. I wonder if the owners are Filipino. They also offer boba, croffles, and breakfast sandwiches. If I lived closer, I would be at Brew Coffee Lab every week! It is definitely a must try! read more

rew Coffee Lab is hands-down my favorite local spot for an iced vanilla latte--but today I ventured out and tried their iced banana chai latte, and WOW. Absolutely delicious. The balance of flavors was on point, and you can really tell they put thought and care into what they serve. And don't sleep on their breakfast sandwiches--so good! Everything here is made with intention. This isn't just another coffee shop; they're true artisans. You can feel the passion in every sip and bite. read more

Fantastic coffee. If you need to use public transportation, why wouldn't you get a coffee from here??

If you get to the coffee shop 10 minutes before your train arrives and there is one person in line ahead of you, you ought to be able to get a cup of coffee before the train arrives. Unfortunately for me, I was not. The service is ridiculously slow with absolutely no sense of urgency. The person behind the counter moved as if they didn't have a care in the world. It's almost like selling coffee isn't the intent. Sadly, customer service is no longer a priority in service industries. I can't wait until all of these people who don't want to work are replace by AI and machines. read more

OH MY GOODNESS, WE HAVE A NEW FAVORITE COFFEE SHOP! My daughter and I like to try different coffee shops and we fell in love with Brew Coffee Lab this weekend. You must try the Maurice if you like a dirty chai. I enjoyed it hot, while my daughter choose to have it iced. Never had a croffle before (croissant warmed up on a waffle iron) and the Peanut Butter Cup croffle was decadent and delicious. We will be regulars every time we are in or near Des Plaines. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea, and it was just as good as I remember! But honestly, I still can't get over the fact that Brew Lounge closed--it was such a hidden gem. I used to go there all the time to study, and their Smash Bros. gaming area was such a cool touch. It had the perfect cozy vibe for hanging out, getting work done, or just enjoying a good coffee. It's a shame that the old space is gone because I really miss having a spot to sit down in person and relax with a drink. Hopefully, they bring back that same atmosphere in the future! read more

I have a good experience from my first Frozen Coffee Drink Boba (I also noticed that they have a frozen pina colada flavored drink, which has become my favorite flavor over the past couple of months, but at that point I needed caffeine in my bloodstream). I liked the employee, she was very friendly and described to me exactly what they use to make this particular type of drink. The price is reasonable, the place is obviously not for sitting inside, but taking a to-go drink from them is good. As I very often advise: reduce the number of drinks, because some people have a pretty hard time deciding, and they may leave without buying anything from you. read more

I wanted to try something that's not Starbucks and fortunately, there was this quaint cafe inside the Des Plaines Metra station right across the public library. I ordered the iced ube latte and the Milo hot chocolate. The ube latte was good but it could be better if the ube flavor was stronger. Sadly, the hot chocolate was bland and I could barely taste the Milo. The winner for me was the croffles. I chose the toasted rice matcha jam and the seasonal maple pecan. Both were very good! The croffle was warm, crispy on the outside but soft in the middle. I don't mind coming back again if I'm ever near the area for the croffles. read more
