Servers are attentive and responsive. Food is great here. I like their country fried steak and gravy. Consistently good.

On my second visit I was able to get a table for my two friends and myself on a bustling Saturday morning. They had never heard of this place and were surprised by the inside after finding it in the strip mall that it's in. (They now have a large banner on the outside to help people find it.) Both of my friends ordered omelets which came with two sides. They were healthy portions and they both enjoyed their meals. I had one of the crepe dishes and they were fantastic! I ordered turkey sausage extremely well done and had to send them back to cook longer. We ordered their cold brew but it was terrible. Tasted really funny so we didn't drink them. We should have had them taken off the bill but we didn't. Their prices are reasonable so it was ok. I enjoyed my visit again and will be back.

I had high hopes for Brunch Café but left feeling pretty disappointed. I joined the waitlist way ahead of time, got the notification that my table was ready, and went inside, only to end up waiting another 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, other people were just walking in and getting seated right away. After a while, I finally went up to ask what was going on, and they admitted they'd totally forgotten about us. I was so frustrated--especially since I had my nieces with me, who were already tired and hungry. When we finally sat down, it took another five minutes for the waiter to even come by, which didn't help the mood. The kids' menu was nice, though. My nieces got chocolate chip pancakes, and it's great that the meal came with a drink. I had the Chilaquiles, which were good, but I noticed there weren't many vegetarian-friendly savory options. If you're a vegetarian, your choices feel pretty limited unless you want something sweet. Overall, it was just an okay experience. The food was decent but nothing memorable, and the service was honestly awful. I don't know if I'd come back--it's hard to overlook the disorganization and long waits when there are plenty of other places to brunch.

fast service, great food! we sat outside and it was nice and quiet for us to enjoy our meal in peace.

This is one huge establishment. It looked full but wasn't, and our table of six was seated quickly. I had a Rueben sandwich. Why do I do this? I am at a brunch place, and then I order a Rueben. It must be a character flaw. This has no decor, just a vast room to hold the huge crowds.

Went in today on a quiet Wednesday and the girl with long brown hair in the front, I smiled and asked for 3, she didn't acknowledge me she just said to follow her and she nearly ran to the table while I'm holding a 6 month old in a car seat. She threw the menus on the table and walked away not even making sure I was behind her. I almost wanted to walk out after that if I wasn't so tired and hungry. Thankfully our waiter was nice and the food was good.

    Monthly special ube french toast

I decided to have french toast because of the attractive pictures on here. I tried the monthly special ube french toast. The sweet cream sandwiched between the toasts and the ube sauce were delicious. It looked very artistic too! I also like how the toasts were not drenched in syrups. My boyfriend had the smoked salmon plate and he enjoyed it too. This restaurant seems very popular as I had to wait in line for around 15 minutes on a Sunday morning before getting seated. Glad the waiting area had chairs so I didn't have to stand in line. This place is right across from Advocate Lutheran General hospital where my boyfriend will be working at. It was our first time here and he was suggesting coming here again!

If you've ever been to Brunch Cafe, you know the secret to their success: 1) Delicious food 2) Friendly and caring wait staff 3) Consistency This has been the mix that Brunch Cafe in Niles had delivered time and time again. They are just as good now as when they opened several years ago. This is a really a testament to their employees and their commitment to getting things right and doing what's best for their customers. They not only have a great selection of breakfast and lunch items, they also have some really good tasting coffee.

    Veggie Skillet

Everything tasted good. My boyfriend and I both got a skillet with a side of pancakes. The steak in the skillet was tender and paired well with the mushrooms and onions. Veggie skillet was delicious. Veggies were cooked right. there was the perfect amount of cheese. Pancakes were soft and cooked perfectly. The maple syrup they have tasted real. It didn't taste artificial. Customer service was great. We came on a Sunday morning. There was a wait, but they do serve you fast once you are seated. Our waitress checked on us often. We didn't feel that the service or food was taking long. I would say this is your average breakfast place. Our food was good. No complaints at all! We were satisfied. We will be coming back!!

    Lemon Poppyseed Crepe
    Angie W.

We've been here several times, and the food is always fresh and delicious! Service is excellent. Even though the place was packed, our server still stopped by several times during the meal to offer to refill our coffee cups. It's a popular place for sure, but we were still able to get in pretty soon after we arrived. (Did you know they take reservations on Yelp? Pretty cool.) The ambience is light and pleasant, like a sunny morning, perfect for brunch. I ordered the Lemon Poppyseed Crepes--and I highly recommend them. On arrival it looked like a bit less food than the other meals (some of the tables near us were getting something huge that I think was an omelette of some sort), but two crepes turned out to be perfectly filling for me. The fruit was very fresh, too! I balanced it out with a side of hash browns, which were nicely done, not too greasy like some hash browns tend to be.

Ask the Community - Brunch Cafe-Niles

Do they have bottomless mimosas/bloody mary on the weekends?

Yes. You have to pay for each one.

So I need to make reservations for mothers day?

They don't take reservations. However, Brunch Cafe is one of those awesome restaurants that lets you add yourself to their waitlist via Yelp, so that's the way I do it. You can't be more than 10 miles away when you add yourself to the waitlist.

Hello, Is this place near any train station? I'll be coming from O'Hare. Thanks!

Not really. The closest train station would be the Cumberland - CTA Blue Line station coming from O'Hare. You would have to take a couple buses or get a ride from that station still as it's not walking distance.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with a warm, cozy atmosphere. It feels upscale without being pretentious, which made it a great place for a special occasion. Our server was friendly and helpful, so we asked for recommendations and ended up ordering a variety of dishes to share. We started with the Sweet Corn Hummus, which came with their complimentary pita bread. The pita was phenomenal! It isn't your typical plain pita you find at most Mediterranean restaurants. It has a delicious seasoning that makes it incredibly flavorful, and paired perfectly with the sweet corn hummus. We also tried the Moroccan Onion Dip. It has a slightly sweet flavor with noticeable cardamom notes. While it wasn't bad, it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Next time, I'll probably order the popular spicy whipped feta instead. One of our favorite dishes of the night was the Hamachi & Charred Avocado. It was light, fresh, and packed with flavor. Every bite was delicious. We also shared the Brussels Sprouts & Honeycrisp Apple Salad. The dressing was fresh and flavorful, but I realized I'm just not a fan of raw Brussels sprouts. The texture was a little too tough for my liking. That's on me--I should have asked beforehand if they were served raw. I think I'd enjoy it much more if the sprouts were roasted, so I probably wouldn't order this one again. For our hot mezze, we chose the Sweet Potato Latkes. They were very tasty with great flavor, although they were just a little on the greasy side. For our entrées, we ordered the Faroe Islands Salmon and the Shawarma-Spiced Skirt Steak Frites. The salmon kebabs over rice were my favorite dish of the evening. They were perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and something I'd absolutely order again. The skirt steak had great flavor as well. Although we requested medium, it came out closer to medium-rare. Thankfully, I'd rather have it slightly under than overcooked. The only disappointment on the plate was the fries--they tasted dry, almost like they had been refried instead of served fresh. The highlight of the meal, however, was dessert. The Triple Chocolate Torte was absolutely incredible. It wasn't overly sweet, the chocolate mousse was smooth and creamy, and the cake itself was rich, velvety, and decadent without being heavy. It was the perfect ending to the meal. And as part of the birthday celebration they served us frozen yogurt with sumac strawberry sauce which was so delicious. Overall, we had a fantastic birthday dinner. While there were a couple of dishes I probably wouldn't order again, the excellent service, inviting atmosphere, and several standout dishes made for a memorable experience. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

The diner has a classic, retro feel with a checkerboard aesthetic that gives it a traditional diner vibe. It is not very modern or trendy, but it is clean and well-kept, which is really what matters. The space feels simple and comfortable, making it a place someone can visit regularly for a quick, reliable meal. The menu is very straightforward and features typical diner staples. The food was pretty good, but the dishes were very basic with nothing particularly unique about them. It felt like the kind of food you might make at home, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't especially memorable either. I ordered an egg sandwich with cheese and sausage ($9.95). I also ordered bacon on the side (3 for $4.25). The egg sandwich was okay, but the bagel tasted like those cheap bagels you would get at a hotel during their complimentary breakfast that come from a bag. The sandwich didn't have anything on it other than exactly what they called it on the menu: a bagel, sausage links cut in half, an egg, and cheese. Nothing on the sandwich was seasoned or flavorful. My husband enjoyed his food much more than I did, and he ordered the Big Texas Breakfast ($12.95). This came with country-fried steak with sausage gravy on top, 2 eggs your way, and hash brown potatoes. He also ordered sausage links on the side (3 for $4.25). The service was friendly, and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time, which worked well for us since we were on a bit of a tight schedule. Overall, Lola's Diner delivered a simple diner experience with homemade-style food. I would come here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast.
