Ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and English muffin.
    John B.

I didn't even reach the front door before I had a smile. When you walk inside it just screams 1950s memorabilia and coca-cola. It is a fun place to take family. Even the sparkle booths. Unfortunately, the food is also 1950s style. The omelette is definitely diner style folded omelette, and the ham is straight off the bone and the cheese. The hash browns tasted of... potato. No seasoning, hash browns were just slide potatoes. I really hoped for a good seasoned hash brown. The service was top notch. Drink always filled. Food came as soon as it was ready. The price is excellent though. Definitely worth trying out. Fun little trip to the past.

Small diner very cozy, the food was great and delicious. The service was excellent, the waitress was very attentive she filled up our coffee mugs every few minutes.

Basic breakfast with crisp yummy bacon.

First time here and it will become a regular for us because the food was good and great prices and our waitress was so sweet. It's an old atmosphere and old furniture BUT I felt very comfortable there. Also a lot of singles go there and it was obvious by their greetings they are regulars

I came in for breakfast and ordered the Niles Grill Skillet. It's a skillet packed with hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, onions, tomatoes, cheese and eggs. I really liked everything about it, but wasn't too keen on the sausage (I know that sausage is a hit or miss in diners - definitely a miss for me.) It was definitely a little greasy, but it was still an enjoyable breakfast for something local. Will it be a frequent stop for me? Probably not, but I would go back.. Maybe I'll order an omelette next time. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive despite the fact that she was waiting on several tables at once. She never let my coffee cup go under half of a cup.. She filled it up several times, which is always nice. A+ for her. The owner also thanked us for coming.

    Retro diner look.

We were looking for a quick bite to eat and stopped in here. When I first sat down and taking in the ambience I started to think I made a mistake. I felt like I time traveled back into the late 1970's or early 80's - no kidding. Wait staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. No regrets actually very pleased. Will return.

Me and my wife lived in Niles and use to frequent this location as a young couple 28yrs ago (but it was IHOP then). It was our breakfast spot. Today we were in Niles and looking for a spot to eat and saw Niles grill and diner. The structure on the outside has not changed so we decided to give it a try and a little flashback for us also. The food and service was great. It looked like it maybe family owned. It felt really homey inside. I had the steak skillet and my wife had French toast and corned beef hash. The portions were generous and the food tasted fantastic. Will definetely stop by again even though it's further from home.

Came here with hubby and our child on a weekday for brunch. There were a good number of open tables…read morebut some of them weren't cleaned and the first table we chose had a piece of the wall sticking out so we relocated. I had expected more pancake options on the menu since it is a pancake cafe but there are ~4 options available (aside from the standard buttermilk and gluten free ones). I had the California omelet (avocado, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese) with hashbrowns and pancakes. I upgraded to the berry pancakes (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries) for an upcharge. My child had the pancakes from the kid's menu which came with two small pancakes and a meat of her choice (she chose bacon). Food took some time to come out and we had to ask for water. My omelet was decent but the hashbrowns were overcooked and dry. The berry pancakes were just okay. There was fresh fruit on top but I didn't care for the berry drizzle on top of the pancakes as it tasted artificial. The kid's meal was very plain (I don't know what I expected) and I should have shared my meal with my child since she ended up eating all the berries off my pancakes anyway.

Great breakfast spot. I got biscuits and gravy with 3 eggs and hash browns. Food came out fast…read more Service on top of everything. Location was clean. Plenty of parking. I've been here a few times and it's always been on point.

And it was nothing short of superb in all facets. My son ordered the Southwest Avocado Burger, which an earlier review this year praised. He agreed. He loved it. His mom had the Chicken Philly. Equally good. Both had large portions. I had the Russian Reuben. It was like 3X the size of a traditional Reuben sandwich one might get dining out. I was barely able to eat a third. It was huge beyond huge. It was spectcular. I wasn't sure corned beef would blend so well with turkey but both meats did. Sumptuous! The Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Russian horseradish sauce and 1000 Island dressing on top - OMG - it was so unbelievable! $2.00 more - you get your fries and soup (choice of 6 - wow - what eatery has 6 soup options)? The onion soup was $1 extra but who cares? It was all a ton for the buck. The basket of tasty dinner rolls upon arrival was delightful. Our waitress Terry was excellent thru and thru and worthy of a large tip, which we obliged. We got free refills on our drinks too, a big thing for us. We were all totally pleased with our visit and will be sure to return at least once or twice before moving out of state later this year. We wish we could clone this place and take it to where we all are moving. I truly don't understand those whining here and their posts. Everything we had was good throughout. If I had to nitpick, I would say the French onion soup itself was average and not rich but the large crouton in the soup and abundant melted yummy Swiss cheese well compensated with the grated topping over the cheese incredibly tasty, making it over the top. The raspberry iced tea could have been a bit sweeter but it wasn't bad either. And you automatically get water delivered to your table, a rarity among diners today. And yeah, I get to a degree the 3% (rounded off) card charge but when you're spending $80 to $100 for gargantuan portions of great food, come on, who really cares about an extra $2.50-$3, chump change? A church friend of the family told me she and her husband go to Omega periodically and recommended it. So this evening we all went. And not one bit disappointed. 24/7/365 diners are a dying breed these days but we are so glad Omega is still around and I say long live the Omega. A shout out to the crews working here as well as the owner.

Hmm, my last review is a teenager... time for an update 16 years later!…read more This place continues to be a gem! We had a 15 minute wait around noon on a holiday. While they were open for dinner in the past, WB now only serves until 2:30pm, which is common for brunch places. Plan accordingly! My go to is the chipotle chicken crepes. I always opt for a savory brunch bite. The potato pancakes are thin and crisp and pair nicely with applesauce and smooth sour cream. A lovely addition is Dollop Coffee specialty drinks like tiramisu or chocolate orange cold brew and lavender vanilla lattes, all around $6.50. Kids' menu has plenty of breakfast and lunch options for young ones 10 and under. Hash browns or corned beef hash on the side are popular with my kids. Friendly waitstaff. Cozy, nostalgic, and super inviting. We were seated quickly, and our server took great care of us throughout the meal. We started with fresh orange juice and coffee, which was the perfect way to ease into brunch mode. I ordered a small stack of pancakes with spicy hash browns and bacon, while my husband kept it classic with scrambled eggs and toast. And wow...the food absolutely knocked it out of the park. The hash browns were insanely good. I never realized hash browns could pair so perfectly with pico de gallo, but now I'm convinced. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the bacon was thick-cut and cooked just right. This is definitely a spot we'd come back to. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food somehow manages to be even better.
