I love the flowers, outdoor patio & well known egg Benedict. I ordered crab cake egg Benedict which is tasty, crispy & running yolk to perfection. Hollandaise sauce is very nice blended & generous portion. My partner ordered pork egg Benedict & it is more heavier. We both like our hash brown. Coffee is big portion with half & half per request. Service is attentive & my glass of water is instantly full :) Love flowers ambience with mountain view. They gave us 20% of Vets discount which we founded very generous. Might not be in Vail Village, but give good breakfast & nice discounts for military.

Lovely patio view

After the previous day's disaster breakfast in Vail Village, we were looking for an upgrade. Score! The only problem was too many options to choose from. Really good biscuits and gravy, hash browns cooked nice and crispy, perfect bacon...should I go on? Would definitely repeat when in Vail.

We came here for a quick brunch before a hike, but it ended up taking quite a bit longer than expected. We arrived around 9 a.m. and were seated right away, our order was taken quickly, and the food came out hot and fresh. I personally loved the biscuits and gravy, which was flavorful and easily the highlight of my meal. By the time we finished, though, the restaurant had gotten much busier and seemed noticeably understaffed. We asked for the check but couldn't find our server, and when we tried getting the attention of another server, we were ignored. We ended up sitting for about 20 minutes just waiting to pay, which was frustrating, especially since we were trying to get to our hike. Overall, the food was really good and the restaurant had a nice brunch atmosphere, but the service could definitely be improved during busy hours.

Great food!! Not the blow-my-mind out of the world great, but delicious, filling and lives-up-to-its expectations kind of food. I was looking for a restaurant where we could walk in and get seated. Westside cafe uses Yelp for their wait-list and I think we got lucky showing up when we did (8:40 am on a Sat), as there was no wait. Within about 20 mins though, there was a wait-list. The cafe has a cafe in the mountains feel - wooden architecture with pictures of mountains and skiers. They have the same metal mountain cut outs that I have at home! The servers are nice and there is decent parking right outside the cafe. For the cold loving people, you have seating outside too. We ordered the Chilaquiles, dirty Biscuits and gravy, and avocado toast, with a couple of cups of Hot Chocolate and Freshly squeezed orange juice. Of the three, the Chilaquiles were the best - spicy, crunchy, great balance of eggs and cream with the spicy sauce, and avocado slices to top the whole thing off. The biscuits and gravy, and the avocado toast were also very good, but not as good as the Chilaquiles. The hot chocolate was excellent as was the orange juice (very fresh, you could taste the pulp). Pricing wise, reasonable for Vail. Gorgeous views outside! Highly recommend!

Our first morning in Vail, we walked over to the Westside Cafe and were pleasantly surprised at how great this place was. First thing, hot coffee, refilled several times - not many places get that right, just sayin'. From the everything bagel & lox to the eggs benedict, avocado toast and chicken and waffles, each dish was filling with great flavor. These guys know how to make breakfast. We wound up visiting a few times during the trip, that's how good it was. If you're in Vail and looking for a good breakfast, this is definitely the place to go.

Grilled chicken club with sweet potato fries, bbq burger with fries, burrata, spinach artichoke dip with pita chips served in bread bowl

Super fast service! Very kind staff. One item came out not quite right and the staff fixed it immediately! Very large portions and delicious food. Our only problems was that we had too much food! Very nice patio with soft music and great views of the mountains. Overall amazing experience.

Basic ham and eggs. Mostly hash browns.

Had one at the bar while waiting for our table. Highly recommend! As for appetizers, the whipped feta is my favorite, dotted with chili sauce and garlic honey - and topped with a dramatic dome of crackly bread. Definitely order one for the table. Then the Fava Bean Agnolotti, so rich that the tiny portion made sense. And then the filet. We ended by splitting the sticky toffee cake with rum sauce, brown sugar rum ice cream and peanut brittle. Incredible. Service great and unrushed. A great experience.

I have been here many times over the years but my recent visit was by far the best! We started off with the whipped feta appetizer, which was very big and definitely shareable. The feta was so smooth and creamy and paired well with the cracker and honey. Next I had the filet mignon. This was out of this world. Filet was so tender and delicious. It would have been great on its own but the sauce was delicious along with all the accompaniments! It was a very thoughtful meal. Others in my party had the halibut and lamb and both were amazing! We did not have dessert this time but I have had the sticky toffee pudding and it's amazing!!! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because one of the halibuts came out a little cold. This place is expensive, so be prepared but honestly it's so good o can't even get mad at the price!

It's the sort of hospitality that keeps me returning. Two dinners this past weekend reminded me why I love the place, but also why I think it's slipped a notch. Friday was lovely. My partner and I arrived between lunch and dinner, settled in at the bar, and ordered a Manhattan and a draft beer. Some fries kept the hangriness at bay. The bartenders were terrific, as usual. Then dinner arrived. The $54 Angus hanger steak comes with miso creamed corn, toasted sesame, tempura maitakes and Japanese BBQ butter. An ambitious supporting cast for a good piece of beef. The steak was delicious, but we ordered medium-well and received medium-rare. That's quite a miss at this price. We didn't send it back because my partner didn't want to make a scene. Worse, the sauce overwhelmed the plate. A good steak should be the star, not an extra in its own production. The $23 crab mozzarella sticks, with green onion, pecorino and shrimp-and-Calabrian-chili sauce, sounded fun. Unfortunately, the crab tasted distinctly fishy, not fresh, and the sauce seemed to be trying its best to cover it up. That's an expensive mozzarella stick with a serious identity crisis. We finished with Meyer lemon tiramisu, port and two espressos. The tiramisu was good, though the crumble on top seemed an odd, unnecessary flourish. The port and espresso were perfect. Friday remained a wonderful evening because the bar and its people are that good. Saturday we returned with friends and sat in the dining room. Packed, energetic and LOUD. I enjoy a lively restaurant, but I also enjoy hearing the people at my table. Drinks were slow, and the delays continued throughout dinner. Everyone was courteous; the whole operation just felt off. Credit to the manager and front desk team for pitching in to deliver food rather than leaving an overwhelmed staff to sink. We shared the $16 whipped tahini dip, served with Lebanese pickles, crispy shallots, marinated feta and warm pita. The pita was excellent: puffy, warm, irresistible. The dip tasted good too, but with so many competing elements, it felt like one ingredient too many. Not every appetizer needs a committee. My $39 rotisserie piri piri chicken was tender and nicely spiced. Unfortunately, its smashed steak fries were undercooked and practically submerged in poppy seed yogurt. The sauce overflowed the plate. Somewhere beneath that yogurt lake was a very good dinner. My partner's Standard wedge was similarly overburdened: too much dressing, prosciutto and blue cheese, leaving the salad excessively salty. Our friends ordered the $54 hanger steak and $46 grilled Pacific sea bass. The steak once again seemed over-sauced, and the decorative corn shoots were promptly pushed aside. The bass, at least on paper, is a thoughtful combination of toasted farro, pickled carrot salad, basil and miso carrot butter. I can't speak to how it tasted, but the recurring excess across the table was hard to miss. Here's the frustration: Mountain Standard has talent, imagination, a great location and genuinely good people. But creativity isn't the same as piling on ingredients, and more sauce doesn't mean more sophistication. Across two dinners, there were missed cooking temperatures, underdone potatoes, questionable crab and dishes that needed editing. That's training, restraint and execution, not a need for a new menu. I still consider Mountain Standard one of the Vail Valley's best restaurants. But let's acknowledge that the competition here isn't exactly fierce. Too many resort restaurants seem content to rest on their laurels, knowing another wave of visitors is coming. Being among the best in the valley shouldn't be the finish line. Would I return? Absolutely, especially to the bar. The hospitality remains a real strength. But before the winter crowds arrive, I'd love to see the kitchen tighten things up and the dining room find its rhythm. Mountain Standard doesn't need another garnish or another sauce. It needs to make the very good ideas it already has work consistently. Three-plus stars, with genuine hope for more next time.

While I understand this is a franchise, it isn't from Florida, so very different for me!…read more I was very impressed at the full flavor cold brew (and not iced coffee) they had and the assortment of matcha, tea, and lattes for my family. A great place to come back to for any season because they switch out their flavors and merchandise (really loved all of the Yetis on Yeti mugs) Very knowledgeable and friendly staff who were there to chat and help with any question you might have. I was very impressed and was insanely busy and popular... and for good reason! Keep it up! I'll be back before I leave, for sure and grabbed some beans for the road!

Yeti's Grind, what the actual fuck is going on over there?…read more I came in looking for coffee and a cinnamon roll. Somehow I left with five complaints, an identity crisis, and a growing suspicion that nobody in this building has ever met a bottle of leather conditioner. Let's start with the chairs. Those leather chairs are DRY. Not "could use a little moisturizer" dry. I mean divorced-dad-elbows-in-February dry. I sat down and the leather made a noise that sounded like it was begging me to finish it off. Those chairs are one ass cheek away from splitting open like a gas-station hot dog. Buy some leather conditioner. Rub it in. Sensually if necessary. At this point, those chairs need foreplay. Next: the cinnamon roll. WHERE THE FUCK IS THE CINNAMON? Calling this thing a cinnamon roll is like calling a handjob a honeymoon. Technically something happened, but nobody should be satisfied. I want CINNAMON. I want enough cinnamon that when I take the first bite, my Apple Watch asks if I've been exposed to an industrial spice accident. Right now the cinnamon is apparently working remotely. A few other items that need immediate executive attention: First, your napkins have the structural integrity of wet toilet paper. I wiped my mouth once and the napkin disintegrated in my hand like it had just been told it was getting laid off. I need a napkin that can handle some shit. Literally and metaphorically. Second, the bathroom lighting can go fuck itself. I walked in feeling pretty good about myself. Then I looked in the mirror and apparently I'm a 58-year-old fugitive who sleeps behind a Bass Pro Shops. Nobody needs that kind of truth before 10 a.m. Dim the lights. Add a flattering bulb. Hell, install a Snapchat filter. Lie to me. I'm paying for the experience. Third, the tables wobble just enough to make you question whether you're having a minor stroke. Every time I touched my coffee, the table moved. For ten minutes I genuinely couldn't tell if the furniture was unstable or if my nervous system had finally given up. But now we need to discuss the coffee handoff situation because this shit is insane. When you put two drinks in front of customers, isn't it fairly standard coffee-shop behavior to SAY WHAT THE FUCKING DRINKS ARE? Something simple. "Latte." "Mocha." "Yours." "Hers." Anything. Instead, two cups got dropped in front of us like we had just entered the final round of a game show. No labels. No explanation. Just vibes. Am I supposed to smell them? Lick the lids? Take a sip out of both and play caffeine roulette? Have people evolved and nobody told me? Do Gen Z customers now come equipped with some sort of beverage-recognition organ? Maybe I'm supposed to put on Meta glasses: "Scanning..." "Foam density detected." "Vanilla molecules present." "98% probability this belongs to the blonde woman sitting next to you." Maybe artificial intelligence has gotten so advanced that apparently the fucking coffee no longer requires human communication. I might be the idiot here. Maybe normal people can stare at two beige beverages and immediately know their destiny. I cannot. So please, Yeti's Grind: Condition your leather. Put some actual fucking cinnamon on the cinnamon roll. Buy napkins capable of surviving human contact. Fix the interrogation-room bathroom lighting. Stabilize the tables. And when you put somebody's $8 coffee in front of them, maybe tell them WHICH FUCKING COFFEE IT IS. Otherwise I'm calling corporate. I don't know if Yeti's Grind even has a corporate office. But I'm imagining a gigantic pissed-off Yeti in a three-piece suit sitting behind a walnut desk in a mountain cave. And believe me... That hairy bastard is getting an email. Get your shit together, Yeti's Grind. I say this with love. Mostly.
