A2B had the foresight to hire an additional 3 people locally in Wake Forest to assist them in offloading my belongings quickly (about 4 hours) before predicted thunder and rainfall began. Once my belongings were placed in the correct location in our new home and unpacked, the additional 3 workers were paid by A2B and sent on their way while the remaining 2 A2B employees assembled beds and furniture and placed them per my wife's instruction. It's pretty convenient. Timing- they are punctual, even called a few minutes before they arrived to make me aware. They worked from the moment they walked into the door to once the last box was dropped. Covid- all three of the gentleman were wearing masks and conscious of social distancing. service- Ziggy, Dandre and Micheal were a trifecta, they are personable, hard working, and very careful. They each introduced themselves by name, we did a walk through, I explained a few things and they started. They even stopped to ask questions when they were unclear of anything. MS have such a great rhythm with each other and flow of what to move when. (I didn't get it, but I didn't need to.) I also appreciate how carefully they wrapped items, supported each other on the heavier or more difficult items, and kept going for hours. We built a great rapport while they were moving and I would absolutely use them again. (Don't forget to tip!) My sister and friend both uses MS so I did too and I'm so happy I did. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with DC Pro Movers was extremely disappointing…read more I even attempted to address my concerns privately before posting publicly, but I never received a response. One of the movers appeared to be intoxicated during my move. He was an older, shorter Hispanic gentleman, and every time he came near me I could smell alcohol. This made me very uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about professionalism, safety, and whether this contributed to the delays during the move. I was also charged a fuel fee for a move that was only 0.3 miles away, which felt completely unreasonable. On top of that, my final bill nearly doubled from the original estimate. I was charged approximately $350 for packing supplies even though I had already purchased and provided my own tape and wrapping materials and placed them in each room for the movers to use. I even have photos documenting this. When I questioned the charges, I was first told there was a misunderstanding and then told the supplies "weren't seen." Despite me clearly communicating that my own supplies were available, the movers chose to use company materials anyway. While I understand charges for sofa covers and a TV box, one of my smaller TVs had already been wrapped and I specifically stated it did not need to be boxed. They proceeded anyway and charged me for it. The most upsetting part was feeling pressured to pay the full amount before my belongings would be unloaded. After reviewing everything afterward, I truly do not believe the charges were fair or transparent. I gave the company an opportunity to resolve this professionally before posting this review, but the lack of communication and accountability has been frustrating. Customers deserve honesty, professionalism, and fair pricing -- unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I wholeheartedly agree. Their website was easy to navigate and easier still to create a rough inventory of your belongings (take your time and confirm, room to room. Trust me: you own more than you think.) Once I'd submitted that Charlie reached out to me shortly after and was my point of contact throughout. I was able to make updates and adjustments up to the week of the move and even then I got 2 confirmations, one a day prior and one the morning of the move. A 4-man crew managed to move a 2-bedroom condo and a 4-bedroom condo into a single townhouse with a single truck, 1 trip between each location, and all in under 8 hours. Good men that busted their asses all day and earned every penny of their salary. TMM is not cheap but this is very much a case of quality work coming at an worthwhile rate; sometimes you need to pay more for the best service. You can certainly find less expensive movers but you would be hard-pressed to find movers of a higher quality. Book sooner than later, feed your movers, tip your movers.

Somehow, my friends, who are not professional movers, didn't need to do this. But the professional movers did? And didn't put it back? - were not former Marines or US military. And this one might be the biggest deal to me. Don't advertise that you nearly exclusively hire former military and veterans, then send me an entire team of none. As the daughter of a Marine, I I consider this to be on the level of stolen valor; you're exploiting the veteran status when all you did was hire people off the street. - the management and customer service team won't return my emails or phone calls. Today I'll be calling the Spotsylvania County Better Business Bureau as well as the Fairfax County Better Business Bureau to figure out log a complaint. If you can't complete the business transaction, you shouldn't be allowed to do business.
