Bitter sweet review. I always thought highly of this hidden gem. Just want to submit a current review. Beautiful location on the water. The service lacked. My party of three waited at a table for quite some time. We had to go sit at the bar for service. Complicated menus. There is a pre 4 0'clock lunch menu. A four to five menu and an after five dinner menu. We were there at 3:50 thus ordering was a bit complicated. One would expect to have higher prices on an upscale waterside restaurant. The food did not live up to the price. We all had the pasta seafood dish. Told it would be served with linguine bucatini came out instead. The pasta was properly al dented but did not seemed married to the watery sauce. No black cracked pepper was available. It was a minor ordeal to get grated cheese. . I had an empty glass sitting in front of me for most of my time. They missed out of a couple more drinks on my bill. Twenty dollar drinks and forty five dollar plates. They have the nerve to charge a credit card processing fee on the bill. The music was suitable for the background. Disco Techno garbage. Played too loud. Doubtful that I will return anytime soon.

A wonderful dinner by the water at Waypoint Restaurant. After cocktails, we started with tuna crudo, a roast artichoke salad, and a grilled octopus salad, followed by the catch of the day, striped bass. For dessert, almond tiramisu and a pistachio cake. Everything was absolutely delicious!

A drunk lady and a espresso

Waypoint has some undeniable strengths--the drinks are excellent, and the food is well-prepared. But let's be honest: $600 for a meal for four people is pretty hard to justify, especially when you're being told the red snapper is locally caught in Long Island Sound (which it absolutely isn't--red snapper doesn't live anywhere near here). For that price, you'd expect not only top-quality ingredients but also complete transparency about where your food comes from. The atmosphere and service were solid, but nothing about the experience warranted such an inflated bill. If you don't mind splurging--and don't mind a little creative storytelling about seafood sourcing--you might still enjoy it. Otherwise, you can find better value elsewhere.

The star is for the service and atmosphere. We almost turned around after pulling up to a very unassuming restaurant exterior. I was pleasantly surprised to be walked though a beautiful dining room. This restaurant transports you to the Florida Keys. A lot of the crowd hopping off a boat for lunch, it's very scenic. Our server was welcoming, attentive and kept a smile. The food however was borderline disrespectful. The fish and chips I had was awful. I couldn't eat it. Imagine a flavorless cod, coated in a funnel cake batter, underdone, without a sprinkle of salt. The moment I saw the color of the fish as the server brought it out, I knew it would bad. To make matters worse, it was served with cold, stale fries. The lobster roll was skimp, burnt, and also served with cold, stale fries. It's a shame because everything BUT the food were makings of a great restaurant experience.

A friend recommended the spot. 25 min drive from Aquebogue home, not bad. So worth the the lil drive. Restaurant is on the water, beautiful view. We had Janine as our waitress and she was a sweetheart. The espresso martinis were delicious and they let me substitute it with Casa Migos ! So I was very pleased! Meatballs are the bomb!!! Clam chowder flavorful. The special are delicious and lobster ravioli is yummy! We'll coming back for more and bringing loved ones as well.

Found a spot a block over. The place is nice and spacious, dining area had a fireplace, bar area had some high tops. Service was pretty quick, our waitress was very nice and attentive, our cocktails came out shortly after ordering. We ordered the Chicken and Lemongrass dumplings, they were very good. Perfectly steamed, they were plump and not oily with a nice dipping sauce. I had the Asian Tuna Wrap, on which I drizzled the dipping sauce I saved from the dumplings earlier. It was magnificent. My better half had the Fried Chicken Boom Boom sammich and it was beautifully fried. I had a bit of it, and it too was fantastic. Added this to the short list of restaurants that we'll frequent on the way to Custer.

I came here with my family and we all got a bunch of different appetizers to share (shoutout the potato skins - sooo good!) and I got the bun-less burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was so delicious and the cheese was perfectly melted on top I really really liked it! it's a really fun bar to have a drink hang out and have some great food will definitely be coming back

Step inside, though, and boom--you're transported into an elegant, beautifully designed dining room that feels straight out of a Michelin dream. We waited a bit for our table, but they handed us complimentary champagne, so... patience restored. The $125 prix-fixe menu was worth every bite. Picking a favorite course feels like choosing between yourbfavorite child . The milk bread, oysters, and baked clams were standouts. That celery vinaigrette on the oysters was next level. The agnolotti pasta was unforgettable. I had the baked chicken entrée and discovered a new obsession with turnip cakes. Who knew? Dessert sealed the deal: molten chocolate cake and passion fruit panna cotta. An absolutely perfect mic drop to end the meal. If I had to nitpick, the drink prices lean toward Manhattan territory. But overall, I'm a huge fan and rooting hard for this spot. If you're anywhere near Greenport or Southold, do yourself a favor and book it.

We started off with great cocktails -- I had their version of a Manhattan which was amazing. Usually "prix fixe" menus present low hanging options -- our choices were not only interesting but every dish was beautiful and delectable. The desserts (especially their Strawberry Pavlova) bowled us over. The service was impeccable, attentive, friendly and every person who stopped by our table made us feel special and very welcome. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
