    Lobster Roll BLT

Gin Beach Cafe in Montauk is a really nice spot by the water with a great view of the docks. I had the Lobster Roll BLT, a watermelon martini, and fresh oysters. Everything tasted fresh, especially the oysters, and the martini was perfect for a Summer day. The service was okay but the food was better. It is a little overpriced, but the food and the setting make it worth visiting.

Loved it!!!! Food was DELICIOUS and the vibes were just immaculate. The view was so nice on the water at sunset, the radio had the best music and our waitress was so kind and attentive. We've never been here before but definitely will come back when we're in the area.

Love Gin Beach! Gorgeous view and really good food. We went with a party of 11 and sat "inside" by the bar. Service was also excellent!

The view is okay. The food is bad. I thought about giving one star but the staff is nice.

I was with my clout friend and knew it was bad when the bouncer denied his platinum clout card. I never seen it decline in my life....... They said we could order a drink and hang out on the patio, but couldn't actually get inside or order food as the kitchen closed at 9:30. The group of 10 I was with began to deliberate if we should head back to NYC or hang out on the patio for awhile and wait in quiet desperation. I didn't really care so I just lit up one of the little cigars I had and chilled in the parking lot, which was essentially an active construction zone. There were cranes, piles of lumber, shipping crates, etc. all on top of a gravel parking lot. I felt like I was on a movie set. I had a clear view of the stars too which was so humbling. Like damn I'm just here on this floating rock in the middle of the universe. None of this really matters so I'm just gonna have a good time. Moving from LA to NYC, the 2 most light polluted cities in the US, I never get to see the true night sky. It always gets me existential. We ended up dipping like 20 minutes later, but highly recommend coming here and smoking a cigar in the parking lot and pondering your existence if nothing else. Ig @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Two tacos for $18 is outrageous, but that's Montauk for you. $9 for elote and creamy corn each, we passed on the $17 guac. Food was flavorful enough, wouldn't say it was particularly authentic. Overall good vibes/experience but would probably opt for dinner elsewhere.

Know that there is picnic table seating outdoors on nice days or a pretty big parking lot to enjoy your meal. I'm sure it gets packed during peak summer hours. The portions are huge! For 3 people we ordered lobster bisque, tuna bites, lobster Mac and cheese, a tuna poke bowl, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. Everything is made fresh to order and it was delicious! Literally the best lobster bisque I ever had. And the tuna bites were so unique - fresh tuna, breaded and deep fried. We aren't local but we will be back every time we are on the east end. The owner was also really nice and we wound up talking about camping in the area and things to do during the summer. Super friendly and welcoming!

That said, the food here is really fresh and the staff are incredibly nice. We kicked things off with New England Clam Chowder, Kickin Crab Corn Chowder and Lobster Bisque. The New England Clam Chowder was really delicious, one of the best I've had out here. Lobster Bisque was just okay for me, the Kickin Crab Corn Chowder was true to its name with a nice kick. We also had steamers which were fresh and delicious, and a softshell crab sandwich that was fried to perfection. Pricey but hey, it's Montauk. I wish I'd been hungrier because their tomato lobster special sounded out of this world. Everything was really solid. I'd come back.

Laid back, casual! The menu and what came out of the kitchen was exceptional and "5" worthy alone. We had some sushi grade tuna tacos with crispy wonton style shells. The tacos were dressed with all the right flavors and additions you would expect from a top sushi joint. Excellent! We also had Moroccan spiced lamb sliders! Wow good! Perfect! Go to the Gig Shack just to get this! 100% worthy the trip. Id say the menu is somewhat surfer-fusion with California taco influence. There are lots of options. We are glad we tried Gig Shack and will return. Highly recommended casual, cool vibe location, with fantastic food!

Truly, the cocktails and menu at this restaurant are so inventive and flavor packed it feels as if there has to be something supernatural happening in the kitchen and behind the bar. We came here in early May and sat at the bar. Dillon took great care of us, walked us through the menu and made stellar recommendations all around. After having my mind blown by the Everything Bagel Martini, we moved on to share the charred octopus and Leggy's Thighs. The charred octopus was tender, and paired so well with the citrus fruits on this plate, plus the bite of pistachios?! So well put together. Leggy's thighs (RIP Leggy) were literally the best chicken I'd ever had, fall off the bone tender and topped off with flavorful furikake and hot pickled fresno chilis. We also split the Wagyu sando which I'm literally still thinking about. Wagyu on milkbread?! What an excellent idea. Live acoustic music was going on the night we were here which really added to the cozy ambiance.
