Base my reviews off what you pay: Price - $100+ Food - 4/5 - very tasty. Service - 4/5 - friendly and on par. Ambiance - 3/5 - gorgeous location but inside leaves some room for desire. Overall - 4/5 - stayed at the Gurney's resort so was able to try this place for drinks, appetizers, and breakfast. Drinks were good, nothing crazy. Appetizers were great, Tuna Tartare was especially good. Breakfast was great, fantastic tasting. Staff were friendly and engaging, stayed on top of things. Of course the spot has a gorgeous view, inside was fine. Place is pricey but one of the more solid spots in Montauk. Besh Dish - Tuna Tartare, Shakshuka

Food was delicious, service was great, and ambiance was pretty - it didn't feel like a hotel restaurant. I will say, I made the reservation months in advance for the winter prix fixe, but upon our arrival, we were told the special wasn't happening because of the holiday weekend. I understand, but someone could have called in advance to confirm and update my reservation. Regardless, the food was tasty. The tuna was phenomenal. The oysters were fresh. Portions were a good size. Cocktails were great. The sour is in a small glass. For the price, would have liked a full size cocktail, but the drink was tasty. I really enjoyed the banana cheesecake. It was unique but so delicious.

It's a beautiful restaurant! Not pictured- the cold pressed juice was flavorful and the best thing for breakfast. A side of potatoes was $14 and $30 for avocado toast was a bit excessive.

View from the casual self -serve cafe was better than the main dining room due to construction.

The reviews for Gigi's are a bit negative so we almost didn't go. Is it pricey? Yes. But is the food good. Yes. We went for Christmas brunch (so one of the few places that was open). The service was excellent- efficient and welcoming. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The setting was beautiful, but for the fact that there were boards covering most of the view of the ocean in the main dining room. The shakshuka was delicious, the tomato sauce and short ribs were flavorful. The avocado toast was good. The avo was nice and ripe, but there was less than one cherry tomato on the dish. I also added the smoked salmon, which was fine but nothing super memorable.

First time coming to the new restaurant at gurneys, Gigi's, and based on the reviews here we were a bit skeptical if it was going to be really good or just okay, but the meal and service (and ambiance as always here) was so good I feel inclined to leave a review in case anyone else comes to yelp before going. My boyfriend and I are avid diners, eating out at least once a day in the city and 80-90% of restaurants being of this caliber, and are in the hamptons for his birthday. We decided to come to Gigi's for dinner on his birthday, seeing as Gurneys is always beautiful and Scarpetta in the past had made for great meals. We were more than happily surprised by how amazing dinner and the drinks were at the newer opened, Gigi's. Our waiter was also incredible and made my boyfriend's birthday dinner amazing! The food was absolutely amazing including the bread (with a delicious butter) and chocolate dessert not featured in the photos here. Again, this experience was so great and exactly what we were hoping for so I just wanted to leave a review so anyone else checking yelp before coming would know as well! Thank you so much again!

Gigi's is very pretty. Like, "we spent the entire budget on lighting and chairs" pretty. It's aesthetically polished and clearly going for upscale chic. Now, let's talk about the service. Our head waiter was fantastic, warm and professional. We know this because we saw him once. To take our order. And then... he vanished into what I can only assume was another dimension. Enter: the man in the feathered fedora. Manager? Host? Performance artist? Hard to say. He swooped in approximately four minutes after we sat down, clearly concerned we might require time to read a menu. But when we dared to want a second cocktail later? Gone. Nowhere. A myth. A legend. Oh wait -- we did eventually spot him. Twirling and vibing at the service island while we were scanning the room for hydration. We ultimately flagged down the very kind sommelier for another drink -- which was not wine, but at that point we would have accepted Capri Sun in a martini glass. The food itself? Honestly, delicious. They absolutely know how to cook. No complaints there. The only catch is the price -- which feels slightly ambitious for what arrives at the table. It does appear to be the same kitchen that services the entire hotel, which explains a lot. Earlier we waited 30 minutes for a $25 breakfast sandwich at Dune because the kitchen was "busy." Busy seems to be the restaurant's unofficial mascot. And now, dessert. Or... not. On Valentine's Day, a holiday practically built for chocolate, we were informed they couldn't offer their dessert menu because the kitchen was too busy. Instead, we were presented with a hard chocolate brownie heart and the sweetest whipped cream known to mankind. We were told not to worry, we wouldn't be charged. Which is comforting, because paying for it might have required securing another cocktail. (See above.) If you go, admire the decor, enjoy the food, and maybe order two drinks at once. Just in case.

Food was excellent and you can't beat the view. Great service as well. I would come back in a second.

Know that there is picnic table seating outdoors on nice days or a pretty big parking lot to enjoy your meal. I'm sure it gets packed during peak summer hours. The portions are huge! For 3 people we ordered lobster bisque, tuna bites, lobster Mac and cheese, a tuna poke bowl, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. Everything is made fresh to order and it was delicious! Literally the best lobster bisque I ever had. And the tuna bites were so unique - fresh tuna, breaded and deep fried. We aren't local but we will be back every time we are on the east end. The owner was also really nice and we wound up talking about camping in the area and things to do during the summer. Super friendly and welcoming!

That said, the food here is really fresh and the staff are incredibly nice. We kicked things off with New England Clam Chowder, Kickin Crab Corn Chowder and Lobster Bisque. The New England Clam Chowder was really delicious, one of the best I've had out here. Lobster Bisque was just okay for me, the Kickin Crab Corn Chowder was true to its name with a nice kick. We also had steamers which were fresh and delicious, and a softshell crab sandwich that was fried to perfection. Pricey but hey, it's Montauk. I wish I'd been hungrier because their tomato lobster special sounded out of this world. Everything was really solid. I'd come back.

The space itself was an outdoor eatery with an old school, clam shanty vibe. Make sure to ask what MP is because we were charged $45 for the worst lobster roll of our life. Do not get the hot lobster roll--it was absolutely bland. Tasted like old, rubber lobster. Zero seasoning. Zero redeeming features. It doesn't even come with fries. Came with a tiny, sauce sized container of the stalest, blandest slaw we've ever had. All the "bowls" of soup are served in tiny paper cups. $10 clam chowder and $12 lobster corn bisque were not good. Too many thickening agents in both gave a very strong, off taste. Chowder was slightly better than bisque. Bisque had zero lobster meat in it. All corn and potatoes. Do not get. Very disappointing. Service was non existent. Waitstaff looked like they were in pain from having to be there. This is a shack on the road with prices of a reputable establishment. Spend your money on countless other good options in Montauk.

And service was great; he was patient and courteous. We sat by the water window view and it was very pretty. Their charcuterie board is very overpriced for the amount and variety. We weren't greeted and it took us forever to be seated as the employees were more interested in having conservations with each other than helping us.
