MY MIND IS ACTUALLY BLOWN WOW. I didn't even know that you could do all that with a simple ocean animal. Hooked knows how to get the most use out of a crab, fish, and lobster and it left me genuinely impressed. I don't even love seafood and this place made me seriously rethink why Loved the side options! Enjoyed the portion sizes!

Clean, causal and friendly. Very fresh food! A good variety and with all of the standards that you would expect. There are only picnic tables for dining outside or takeout. No bathrooms and no indoor seating. Perfectly made and fresh food, skip Gosman's and come here!

Came to Hooked for dinner with friends. Seafood was really fresh, love the taste. Cute decorations and lots of seats outside. Various beers and drinks options! Price is reasonable, service was quick!

I came here for lunch on a Friday with my family. They had a good selection of seafood on the menu. There's a few outdoor tables in front. I ordered a lobster roll and it had a lot of lobster so you definitely get the most bang for your buck here. I liked that it came with coleslaw and not fries. My family ordered the clam chowder, the poke, the burger, and the raw clams. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back!

Wonderfully fresh seafood, organized service for to-go orders, and the best lobster roll I've enjoyed in a very long time. Their tasty clam belly "boat" came with yummy fries, and the luscious lobster roll was made with just a bit of mayo to hold it together. Casual vacation vibe, reasonable pricing, just excellent overall.

We visited hooked a few days ago while in Montauk in October. I am hoping the experience was because we are in the off-season. Although the food looks delicious in the photo, the lobster roll was $34 and almost flavorless with a very sad condiment cup of Cole slaw. The poke bowl had hardly any tuna and the noodles were undercooked. Service was very friendly, we were the only people there so something felt very off.

I was craving fish tacos when I did a yelp search. This place popped up so I decided to check it out. These may have been some on the top mahi fish tacos I have ever had. It was made to order with a mango broccoli slaw. I also got a side of fresh corn that was even served hot. Outside tables were available this place is a hit.

Staff Extremely Friendly. Menu outside. Cute Blue Table Benches.. Umbrella if you need to open. You will need to go inside to place your order and the staff will bring you your meal once it is ready. We ordered New England Chowder Lobster Mac and Cheese Fish and Chips. and a drink. The Chowder and Fish and Chip were very good. Lobster Mac and Cheese was a bit watery for me with very little lobster bits. Suggest you skip Mac and Cheese. If you are looking for a quick but this is the place to have it. Enjoy!!!

Their award winning clam chowder and lobster salad rolls speak for themselves. Great low key spot for lunch. You can order to stay or to go, but either way you will leave happy.

Got us hooked If I had to choose 1 place to eat in Montauk, Hooked would be that place. That lobster was impeccable. The poke was ok The kale was insane ! Order it w the fruit etc and add some shrimp. The service is simple but effective. The prices are I guess Montauk prices. The ambience is summery classic American vibe. Not bad. For the success of that place it would help to expand the seating a little in the future. Conveniently located close to the main beach.

And the winner for best Hamptons lobster roll goes to... this place! Would head straight here for their perfect balance of mayo and fresh lobster and buttered bun. The tuna bites are okay but that lobster roll is nuts. 5 stars!!!

I really don't get why I keep shooting myself in the foot with lobster rolls in the Hamptons. They are very small, pricy, and kind of mediocre flavor wise. I would recommend trying the other things on the menu.

Huge lobster roll. Price increased but still very much worth it.

The 25.00 lobster roll is now 38.00 but I'm still going to get it! We live in central suffolk and drive an.hour here every few weeks during the summer.

We had wanted to go to what's now Mary Lou's but used to be a restaurant we went to all the time on family vacations. The security guards and swarms of influencers in sparkly dresses and cowboy boots made us quickly realize this wouldn't be an option for dinner. We started walking back toward Gosman's and noticed The Dock tucked away on a side street. We decided to grab a drink at the bar and regroup on next steps. The ambiance here is very casual, its a busy spot with a large indoor bar and a handful of indoor and outdoor tables. Our bartender was a master at tending to the rush and took care of us quickly. While we were deciding what to do next, we made conversation with a local Gosman's fish monger who let us know the food here was worth staying for, and even went as far as to ask one of the staff members for the name of what the restaurant next door used to be for us as we were trying hard to remember. I'm so glad we stayed, because the food was really on point here. Clam chowder was hearty and had plenty of clams. Their steamed clams were incredible, fresh and packed with lots of chopped garlic in a broth that you'll want to drink. The star of the show here is the tuna melt: a giant fresh tuna steak served on an English muffin with cheese and some of the best fries I've had at a restaurant in ages. Glad to have made another core memory here in Montauk at The Dock.

You'll pull into their driveway and ring the bell as indicated. Once we did, there were signs all over about not eating here which, again, understandable, we're in your home. Ambiance is very much to-go counter. We entered to a stressed out lady behind the counter who yelled out "it's cash only!" which I'm guessing has been an issue despite all the very clear signage. Her husband was having some breakfast at the counter and immediately told us that he knew he was breaking "the rules" (dude it's your literal home do what you want). We ordered two lobster rolls as well as clams on the half shell - the total came to $49 which is a steal here compared to other spots. The clams were extremely fresh (just shucked, to the point where there was juice everywhere in this paper container with no top which is great if you can eat it sitting down at a table somewhere...not great if you know you need to GTFO and drive somewhere in your car with it). I saw another couple take their lobster rolls to go and even though the buns were packaged separately, the lobster salad was piled into the same flimsy paper container with no lid. If you don't want people to eat in your house (or driveway), serve these things in actual to-go containers. If you're coming here I would honestly bring your own Tupperware because now my car smells like clam juice. But I guess that's the price you pay for quality seafood and an affordable price out in Montauk.

I've never had this combination before, and it was absolutely brilliant. Honestly, I'd go back just for this dish alone. The restaurant itself is really cute, and we were thankfully able to snag a table without a reservation on a Sunday for brunch--but only because we came early before the crowds rolled in around 9 - they def rolled in as we were leaving! My husband ordered the French toast, which was also delicious. You really can't go wrong with their breakfast or brunch options, but the scrambled eggs with burrata and avocado truly stand out. Highly recommend!

As soon as you walk inside, you see just how WARM AND COZY the ambiance is, and I absolutely LOVED the dim lighting via candlelight, too. Atmosphere aside, the food was positively INCREDIBLE. (Clearly this review is warranting lots of all-caps.) We ordered the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu sando (that came with a cute cup of fries), which was great, but the real star of the show was the blue crab! Think deconstructed crab chowder -- this decadent dish featured lump blue crab in a frothy brown butter with snap peas and corn, and it was super memorable, to say the least. We also ordered their Leggy's Thighs, which was another standout plate of small, de-boned fried chicken thighs with garlic, Parmesan, Fresno peppers, and microgreens. (This is not your average fried chicken!) The chef here created a deliciously delicate menu this season that definitely highlights both French and Japanese techniques. (We also caught the very beginning of their weekly trivia night, which seemed super fun and definitely something to keep in mind for the future!) What can I say except that this place is a Montauk gem. With incredibly delicious food, thoughtful service, wonderfully warm ambiance, and the ocean only 100 feet away, Bird on the Roof is a dining experience that will create only the best memories.
