Went with a reservation. Service was excellent! Drinks were good. The toasted marshmallow martini was really good. The watermelon one was ok. Bread was good! Baked clams were good. Nice and juicy under neath! I had the lobster which was good. My husband had the Tuna. Everything was excellent! Nice views!

What a great dinner experience we had. Excellent friendly service. Very good diverse menu. Prices are as expected for this area... "if you have to ask" The sunset dinner on the deck is fantastic with great a distant wide view of the Atlantic Ocean. Whales, seals, and dolphins are a possibility! Very quaint place and awesome for adults looking for a very nice dinner with good food. Everything prepared perfectly to request and excellent drinks too. Would come back for sure!

Amazing service from Devon from heaven! Absolutely delicious food, great cocktails, and chill ambience. Highly recommend this place. We had a wonderful experience.

    Vanilla bean icecream. Yummy!

Great Find! We ate there twice! We originally had a reservation for only last Thursday, but because we could not get into the Inlet Restaurant at 7PM last Tuesday we decided to take a chance to see if we could get a last minute reservation that same day. We lucked out and they were able to accomodate us at 8:15 pm. I ordered the duck with orange marniere sauce and my husband ordered a cranberry pecan salad. It was the best duck and orange sauce that I have ever eaten! Devon was our waiter. He was outstanding! On Thursday we had a reservation at 6:30. Since we had eaten a late lunch we called and asked if our reservation could be moved to a later time. They were again accommodating and gave us a 7:30 reservation. I decided to order the duck again since it was so delicious and my husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs. For dessert, my husband ordered vanilla bean icecream and I ordered the creme brulee. I highly recommend this restaurant and will go back on my next visit to Montauk.

One of the best restaurants in Montauk hiding in plain sight on Old Montauk Highway. Surfside is an Inn and a restaurant. This review is for the restaurant although the reviews for the Inn are also excellent. Montauk in the summer and it is difficult to get a reservation and forget about walking in anywhere and expecting to be seated. We were staying at Hartman's and asked about the possibility of having dinner nest door a Surfside. They said should be no problem give them a call. Of course that raises doubts so we give Surfside a call and they said no problem 7:30 dinner. Now I'm really figuring this place must be a dive or a ptomaine palace. Foolish doubting Dan the place is spectacular in every way just not "discovered" yet. Light and bright with seating inside or out. The outside seating has a view of the ocean across the street. We were seated promptly inside water, drinks, menus and smiling faces. Food was excellent Asian vegetable dumplings, Maple roasted pecan salad and both surf and turf on the menu. We had Ahi tuna and an order of Savanna style shrimp which is shrimp and Andouille sausage sautéed with peppers and other goodies. Go, enjoy, before it gets overrun.

Delicious food and cocktails. Was seated right away. Great, friendly service! Was not rushed thru. Music in lounge area, outdoor and indoor seating with a great beach view and ocean breeze. . Cozy well decorated large area. Great dinner and sunday brunch menu- this chef is a gem! The staff was so accommodating and service with a smile. Our 3rd visit back was as good as our 1st. - will definitely return on next trip next month. Tom and his wife are great hosts!

We had wanted to go to what's now Mary Lou's but used to be a restaurant we went to all the time on family vacations. The security guards and swarms of influencers in sparkly dresses and cowboy boots made us quickly realize this wouldn't be an option for dinner. We started walking back toward Gosman's and noticed The Dock tucked away on a side street. We decided to grab a drink at the bar and regroup on next steps. The ambiance here is very casual, its a busy spot with a large indoor bar and a handful of indoor and outdoor tables. Our bartender was a master at tending to the rush and took care of us quickly. While we were deciding what to do next, we made conversation with a local Gosman's fish monger who let us know the food here was worth staying for, and even went as far as to ask one of the staff members for the name of what the restaurant next door used to be for us as we were trying hard to remember. I'm so glad we stayed, because the food was really on point here. Clam chowder was hearty and had plenty of clams. Their steamed clams were incredible, fresh and packed with lots of chopped garlic in a broth that you'll want to drink. The star of the show here is the tuna melt: a giant fresh tuna steak served on an English muffin with cheese and some of the best fries I've had at a restaurant in ages. Glad to have made another core memory here in Montauk at The Dock.

You'll pull into their driveway and ring the bell as indicated. Once we did, there were signs all over about not eating here which, again, understandable, we're in your home. Ambiance is very much to-go counter. We entered to a stressed out lady behind the counter who yelled out "it's cash only!" which I'm guessing has been an issue despite all the very clear signage. Her husband was having some breakfast at the counter and immediately told us that he knew he was breaking "the rules" (dude it's your literal home do what you want). We ordered two lobster rolls as well as clams on the half shell - the total came to $49 which is a steal here compared to other spots. The clams were extremely fresh (just shucked, to the point where there was juice everywhere in this paper container with no top which is great if you can eat it sitting down at a table somewhere...not great if you know you need to GTFO and drive somewhere in your car with it). I saw another couple take their lobster rolls to go and even though the buns were packaged separately, the lobster salad was piled into the same flimsy paper container with no lid. If you don't want people to eat in your house (or driveway), serve these things in actual to-go containers. If you're coming here I would honestly bring your own Tupperware because now my car smells like clam juice. But I guess that's the price you pay for quality seafood and an affordable price out in Montauk.

Know that there is picnic table seating outdoors on nice days or a pretty big parking lot to enjoy your meal. I'm sure it gets packed during peak summer hours. The portions are huge! Literally the best lobster bisque I ever had. And the tuna bites were so unique - fresh tuna, breaded and deep fried. We aren't local but we will be back every time we are on the east end. The owner was also really nice and we wound up talking about camping in the area and things to do during the summer. Super friendly and welcoming!

I can only imagine how busy this place gets during the summer. We ordered a lobster roll, fish and chips, and oysters and enjoyed our food on a picnic table outside of the small restaurant. The inside is mostly for ordering and if you wanted to dine there, there were a decent amount of blue picnic tables outside. Food was pretty good, but not the best for the price. Oysters were a bit sandy and the batter of the fish and chips were a bit too thick for my liking, but we were still really appreciative to have a restaurant option with seafood!
