Not dog-friendly at all. Don't come here, even if you have a service dog. Their window sign says "No screaming kids," yet there were still children running around and yelling. They should probably update the sign to also say "No service dogs." On top of that, many of the items listed on the menu were no longer available. Total waste of time coming here. We waited 30 minutes in the cold only to be told we couldn't eat inside or even out on the patio.

We sat outside after about a 30 minute wait, but no complaints it's worth the wait and more! The service was attentive and professional you can tell these are career servers they move like a well oiled machine. Now onto the food, the Jalapeño poppers are 11/10 I would come back just for those. The special fish sandwich was very fresh, light and well done. The mahi mahi bites were breaded and had a buffalo wing vibe but a very generous portion. The nachos were great and the mozzarella sticks were solid. This place has a great local small town vibe and the food is spectacular.

Epic place . Even the food is good . I hope it doesn't change too much . Can't wait to come back

Super solid spot! I love the Phony Negroni. So nice to see non- alcoholic options like that at a divey place. I've had it before and made me so happy to cool off with a mocktail after a hot beach day. Clam chowder and fried calamari were great to start. And the soft shell crab sandwich was really tasty too. The sauce it came with complemented the deep fried crab very nicely. I enjoyed dinner here. The only thing is that it's pricey! $150 for 2 people including tip

The food was amazing as well.. I never had to ask for a knife and fork for a Hot Dog before, but didn't want to unhinge my jaw to take a bite!- it was righteous !!! the Watermelon puree margarita was my go to drink and I appreciated the lemon/lime water stations inside and out to pace myself from overdoing it.. it helped that the weather was perfect too on the Saturday I went. The full kitchen served us a plentiful variety of appies, tacos, lobster rolls, and a full dinner menu. The delicious and reasonably priced food was a forerunner to soak up her incredible award-winning cocktails, most made with Lynn's own proprietary brand of naturally infused spirits, like Lynn's hula juice. Lynn herself is warm and welcoming, getting to know everyone on a first name basis. She makes everyone feel like a regular, whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth. The whole place is simply the old Montauk magic, beach party energy that's hard to find anywhere else. like her cocktail book, "Tiki with a twist", it's tropical and laid back- a magical go to get a way.

It was a beautiful day, we started with Prosecco and margarita and enjoyed the boats going in and out of the inlet. Starters were raw clams (so tiny- yum) and shrimp cocktail - big and fresh. Everything is artfully plated. As my favorite watermelon feta salad wasn't on the menu - actually a blessing - I tried the Lobster caprese salad and it was a miracle. I took a picture. My husband's fish and chips was hot, crunchy, and not greasy at all. Plenty of fries. A couple cocktails, beautiful scenery and a fantastic meal is the way that we jump start our Montauk trip. Highly recommend it. Note- there's a lot of talk about Gosmans just being sold blah, blah, blah. No worries the Topside hasn't changed a bit. No kids allowed- probably too dangerous. Not the worst idea for my serenity fix either. Cheers ! To the folks complaining about the price- you're in the wrong town. Topside is a treat for us, worth every penny !!

We ordered a ton of food (two-three of a few dishes) which was all very satisfying, but the Branzino stood apart. The striped bass carpaccio was flavorful, but it would have complemented better if it were chopped thinner. The lobster was tender and soft. French fries were nice and crispy thin. I loved the tomatoes (tomates olivettes confites). Cauliflower could have done without as both servings weren't to temperature -- more on the warm side. However, I would recommend just about everything we ordered (see proper French dish names below). Drinks were all good; we just ordered classic drinks/wine/cocktails. Let's talk dessert! We tried everything except the fruit. My absolute favorite was the crepes dentelles! Second favorite, the chocolate ice cream. Beignets were ok, a little too dense inside instead of airy/puffy. And the brioche cake (or tropezienne a la vanille) was sweet - a couple of bites are plenty. I've never had this combination before, and it was absolutely brilliant. Honestly, I'd go back just for this dish alone. The restaurant itself is really cute, and we were thankfully able to snag a table without a reservation on a Sunday for brunch--but only because we came early before the crowds rolled in around 9 - they def rolled in as we were leaving! My husband ordered the French toast, which was also delicious. You really can't go wrong with their breakfast or brunch options, but the scrambled eggs with burrata and avocado truly stand out. Highly recommend!

As soon as you walk inside, you see just how WARM AND COZY the ambiance is, and I absolutely LOVED the dim lighting via candlelight, too. Atmosphere aside, the food was positively INCREDIBLE. (Clearly this review is warranting lots of all-caps.) We ordered the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu sando (that came with a cute cup of fries), which was great, but the real star of the show was the blue crab! Think deconstructed crab chowder -- this decadent dish featured lump blue crab in a frothy brown butter with snap peas and corn, and it was super memorable, to say the least. We also ordered their Leggy's Thighs, which was another standout plate of small, de-boned fried chicken thighs with garlic, Parmesan, Fresno peppers, and microgreens. (This is not your average fried chicken!) The chef here created a deliciously delicate menu this season that definitely highlights both French and Japanese techniques. (We also caught the very beginning of their weekly trivia night, which seemed super fun and definitely something to keep in mind for the future!) What can I say except that this place is a Montauk gem. With incredibly delicious food, thoughtful service, wonderfully warm ambiance, and the ocean only 100 feet away, Bird on the Roof is a dining experience that will create only the best memories.
