Service and food were great. I've read the reviews and maybe it's because we don't drink but for 2 we spent around a hundred total including tip. With the generous portions we did not want an appetizer and were too full for dessert. For my husband, the spaghetti and meatballs were recommended by someone we met on the beach who is a regular and did not disappoint. I ordered the herb roasted chicken with roasted carrots and mashed potatoes and it was delicious. There was no room on the patio which was a disappointment when we took a peek outside. Super trendy restaurant with tasty bites! Ambiance & Service: The interior is very vibey and chic! Our server was friendly but a bit too quick to clear plates before everyone was finished. Great food and good service. Now that the usual staff has been split between their NYC and Southampton location, I am happy to report that the quality of food and service has not diminished. The espresso martini is very good. The Chicken Milanese dish is fabulous. The ambiance both inside and outside is very nice. The new music vibe is a nice touch. Came here last Saturday with a party of about 10 for a friend's birthday. Sat outside in the patio area which was really nice and a pretty big space. I know we got a few appetizers but I honestly can't remember what they were and it was only a few a days ago. I recall they were fine, but clearly not memorable enough! For the main courses, a few around the table got the filet, some got fish. I split the porterhouse with the bday girl which is ~40 oz and I'm so glad I did! It was seriously delicious, both sides of the steak were super tasty with a nice char on the outside and well seasoned. My only gripe with the steak was that I asked if I should order medium rare which is typical and what steak places usually recommend, but our server suggested we go one up to medium because of the way they cook it? I don't know if this was miscommunication, but it was served in a skillet that was still hot, so I think that was the exact wrong recommendation! I definitely wish I ordered medium rare instead of medium, but even though it was more well done than I would've liked, it was still delicious so for me a sign of a good steak. For sides we got corn, spinach, and mashed potatoes. Corn was good, others standard. For dessert we ordered 3 for the bday girl, but they brought out an extra! Plus a gluten free one for someone at our table! Desserts were great. Bananas foster and strawberry shortcake were awesome. We also had tons of wine, but I wish the server came back to refill waters more because I was dying of thirst the whole night. Overall good experience, great steak. read more

Needed somewhere to eat after going for a drink and an appetizer at Southampton Social Club. We weren't so came here and had a great time. It is clean and modern with a nice outdoor seating with heat lamps. The inside was also nice with proper social distancing in play! For dinner I had the prime rib burger which did not come with any cheese which surprised me. It was a straightforward burger with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. The beef was cooked medium just like I asked. It was good. The fries were ridiculously good. They were thin with a perfect amount of salt and fried to a great crisp. My wife ordered the matzah ball soup which was also pretty good. This whole experience was much better than down the street at southampton social club. It is a chic modern place too with reasonable prices. The location is off the beaten path in Southampton next to the train station. If you don't have gps it is hard to find but once you do you will be happy that you did. read more

Anyone who knows the Upper East Side dining scene knows neighborhood gem T-Bar steak and lounge run by Tony Fortuna and Chef Ben Zwickler. After running for a brief stint Savannah's at the same location in Southampton, Tony and the team are back with T-Bar Southampton. The menu is similar to that of the UES - which is no bad thing as consistency is the watchword here and service is very focused. In short, a great experience to be repeated. read more

Unfortunately the main course , a filet mignon, advertised as an 8 oz it was not even close to 6 oz. disappointing to say the least. Came here with a party of 5 for dinner on a Friday night. We were able to get a table outside which was great because the weather was perfect and the patio is super cute. I didn't like our table though just because it was way too tight for 5 people but not a big deal. Food was, overall, very good albeit overpriced. here's a rundown: -Truffle rice balls were divine but you got 6 small ones for $18. -Crispy sushi was mediocre and $26 for 4 pieces -Tomatoes & Burratta were delicious -I ordered the filet mignon which was just OK. I've had better but of everything on the menu this might have been the most reasonably priced (8oz at $43 i think). -I tired my husband's pizza which was delicious- large enough to share for sure! Our server, Blaze, was excellent, and recommended doing half margarita/half octopus which was a great idea and although I liked the octopus better, both were good. Drink were stellar but overpriced (blah, blah, hamptons, blah blah) at $20ish/cocktail. I'll let it slide because both my dirty martinis were on point. Service, like I said, was great! Overall, i think this place is a solid 3.5-4 stars and hopefully will get even better with time (knowing they already have a successful place in NYC). read more

Went for dinner with a friend. Ended up only staying for apps and cocktails. We prefer to order apps and then decide what to eat however this was not allowed. This is a policy that I don't like as I prefer to pace my own dinner instead of having the restaurant rush me. We had tuna and salmon crispy rice and both were delish. Also had martinis which were very good. So for food I'd give 5 stars but for service I'd give 2 since it was inflexible and not very friendly. read more

When I think of dining in Southampton, I always think of a scene and we were unbelievably touched and delighted at our wonderful experience this evening. The thought and effort with the entire Tbar experience was phenomenal. Between every course they brought new cellophane wrapped cutlery. The entire staff was wearing face shields. The chef came out to check on our meal. And what a meal it was. We typically go to East Hampton Grill, Le Bilboquet and Starr Boggs and the touches here shone above the rest. The atmosphere was lively and beautiful out in the garden outback. The sushi, burratta, chopped salad, Seabass, cavatelli, and of course the desserts were all wonderful. The restaurant seemed to do a lot of takeout business as well on a Sunday night and would recommend that option as well. It was all superb. Highly highly recommend. read more

Super mediocre. I went here with a friend to have a nice pre-Christmas dinner before flying off to warm places tomorrow, and was pretty disappointed. I've had some great summer meals at T-Bar, but have never been here in the winter.....and probably won't again. The food was just ok....bread seemed stale, beer seemed warm, meatballs were fine, sesame tuna seemed like it had been sitting out all day and was served at room temperature (and I wondered about the potential for food poisoning), and the apple crisp tasted like it was out of a box and probably should have been warmed. The service wasn't great, although the hostess seated us right away, I had to ask our server about specials (there weren't any), and about the soup of the day. She lacked polish and was routinely missing in action. I had to flag down a busboy to ask our server for another round of drinks. After dessert we waited a long time for anyone to appear (there was a substantial period when there was not a single staff person in the dining room....no hostess, no bartender, no server, no bus person). When the hostess finally returned, we asked for her to send our waitress over with a check. A few minutes later she presented the check stating "I can't find her, can you check the bill to see if everything is correct". The service was pretty poor for a restaurant that holds itself out as an upscale dining experience. Lastly, while the decor is nice, I'd never been here in the winter. With all the windows and doors shut, the acoustics are pretty awful. There were two big tables of about 7 people each, and their brainless rambling filled the restaurant. It's not the restaurant's fault that gauche Long Islanders don't seem capable of voice modulation, and instead, seem to pride themselves on speaking and laughing at the top of their range, but there's a lot that T-Bar could and should do to dampen the sound. There was a nice tent outside with heaters, and while it was a bit too cold to sit out there in what I was wearing, if I could do it over, I'd put on a parka and sit outside. Came here for the second time last night. The first time was with a large group but this time it was just two of us and we sat at the bar. Their drinks are great and generous- the waitress actually remembered our drink order from the last time we were there which was almost two months prior! Their olive and rosemary bread that comes to the table is delicious. The shrimp cocktail was massive and so fresh. T bar salad is awesome. Their salmon is INCREDIBLE. Cooked so well and the honey mustard sauce is so good. Their fries are awesome as well. Chantelle the waitress / bartender is the BEST. First and foremost, Terell rocks! If you come and you have to wait for a table- people watch and get a drink with him at the bar. The decor inside is nice and streamline with an attractive crowd but the gem is the back outdoor area with a dimly lit Miami feel. Just like everywhere else in the Hamptons, this place is not cheap by any means but the price my friends and I paid for our food was well worth it. Our bill was 150 for chicken milanesa, Cesar salad, salmon, kale chopped, and a perfectly cooked side of green beans. I'd say the downside for us was the way the hosts spoke to us about the fullness of the restaurant and it seemed as though they didn't want the 5 of us ladies dining there, and then there was a sewage smell that kept blessing us every few minutes like a cloudy reminder that although things can be great, they can't always be perfect.
