    75 Main Chopped Salad
    Monica C.

We were in town for a wedding in Hauppauge & decided to spend an afternoon shopping in Southhampton & visit this popular restaurant in downtown. The vibe was incredible just as I had pictured it in my mind. We were greeted very warmly the moment we walked in. The menu was extensive so it was hard to choose between the entrees as everything looked so delicious. I decided on the 75 Main Chopped Salad. My husband chose the Main Prime Burger with fries & my daughter chose the Fusolini Alla Vodka Telefono. Each of us were completely intoxicated with every bite!! 10/10 all the way around!!!! We were hoping to see a celebrity or two dining alongside us (as this is one of the restaurants known for that) but no luck there. Nevertheless, it was an amazing lunch we will always remember enjoying together. If you get a chance to dine here I highly recommend it! Booking a reservation will make it it seamless. The hostesses even complimented me on my outfit as we were leaving & that made me feel fantastic!! I saw many people dressed casual, but we chose to dress up in case we ended up dining beside others who were the same. Parking was very convenient with two hour limits. We hope to come back again someday as there are so many wonderful places to shop & dine in this area alone. One could easily spend a long weekend here.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Southampton for the weekend and stopped in for dinner at 75 main. We were seated outside, in the back, which was definitely preferred because it was noisy & busy inside (DJ came in at about 8). We got Hugo spritzes for drinks and an heirloom tomato salad with crispy burrata for an appetizer. We devoured our appetizer--the tomatoes were fresh and the crispy burrata was spectacular. I ordered the fusiloni alla vodka which was delicious, and my boyfriend got the skirt steak with chimichurri and mashed potatoes. We enjoyed our experience!

Truly enjoyed our time here! Easy to get a reservation. Staff is so friendly. Food was ok.

The staff went way way out of their way to be customer centric...came by often, timed food delivery well and was helpful to lower music when it was too loud. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was a little dim but frankly lighter than most. Seats were comfy but I sat on a couch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was very good. Calamari was perfectly cooked and crispy but not crumbly or oily. The aioli was delicious. The crispy shrimp appetizer was cooked just as perfectly and the sauce was stupendous. The wings were not saucy but not dry and bit soggy ... were just perfect. I got the kale salad and it was one of the best ever. The portion was generous and the chop was neither too rough nor too fine. The ingredients proportions were just right. The dressing was very tasty. I'd definitely come back and recommend to others.

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. I just went out for breakfast with my sister and her friend, and honestly, I've never been more disgusted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat down at the table, and there were immediately nostril-clogging levels of dust. I genuinely almost choked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then they poured my water, and there was black stuff floating in it. I kindly asked for a new glass, but my sister's and her friend's waters also had black stuff floating in them. They grabbed cups from the table next to us, and those had black shit floating around inside them too. So I politely asked if they could just take them away and bring us fresh ones. You wouldn't believe what happened next... is what I would say if you were absolutely stupid. The replacement water was even dirtier. It looked like they went outside and scooped it out of a fresh rain puddle. At that point, I said I didn't want any water at all and asked them to take it away. Thirty seconds later, this idiot comes over and pours the blackest water I've ever seen into my cup. Genuinely, the water in Chernobyl is probably safer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I don't even want to know what they clean their dishes with. I'd be surprised if they even had a dishwasher.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is absolutely vile.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you think I'm joking, go see for yourself--but check your cup first. Also, the Wi-Fi password is "Ali Baba," which is suspicious for lack of better terms. I'm genuinely horrified. I would never come back. The food looks good, but the moldy-hose water they apparently serve is a complete experience ruiner. I'd rather drink out of a shoe filled with piss.

We just wanted to celebrate the New Year properly. We came in planning to start with appetizers and continue our meal, and we chose the prix fixe menu. As Turkish guests, we genuinely wanted to experience this place, but it turned into a truly terrible experience for us. We will never consider coming back. Sadly, a place with a 2.9 rating on Yelp fully lived up to it. Never again. On top of that, one of the staff members called us "salak," which in Turkish means "stupid." This was extremely offensive and unacceptable. We paid $150 for the prix fixe menu plus $30 per hour for the open bar, yet we were constantly rushed. The main course was brought to our table four times, even though we were not ready, and desserts were served at the same time. The service was completely disorganized and ruined the entire experience.

75 Main is definitely one of those standard Hamptons spots--partly because it's been around forever and partly because it shows up on Bravo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting is beautiful, especially if you can get an outdoor table[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service was honestly great. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. But the food? Kind of a letdown. Some ingredients didn't seem super fresh--like the tomatoes were overripe, and the prosciutto definitely wasn't Prosciutto di Parma (kind of obvious when you know what to look for). The dishes looked nice but just didn't have much flavor or finesse, especially for the price. The cocktails were good, so that was a plus, but overall, it didn't live up to the hype. If you're going for the scene and the setting, it's worth a stop--but if you're expecting a top-tier meal, you might want to keep your expectations in check.

Staff who snapped our two valid IDs

My friend and I both received drinks. We had a table. We went back to the bar to order to beers, the waitress asked for our IDs, and returned with two snapped (almost: they were totally legitimate so they are just bent completely in half) ids, 10 minutes after they tried rejecting a 23 year old girl's id earlier in our party. We called the cops who came and left immediately for another call. They switched the bouncer who snapped our IDs at the same time of course, only to promptly bring him back once the cops were gone. These people are scum and the bottommost muckrakers of the Hamptons. The manager walked into his backroom as we tried to ask for a refund, and the cops were pretty clearly complicit in it all. Pictured is the bouncer who snapped my friend and my's ID. Stay far away if you want to have a nice night out.

    Beautiful atmosphere

Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was beautiful[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service was top-notch. Everything felt intentional and well thought out. The crispy black bass was absolutely incredible -- perfectly cooked with a delicate crunch and so much flavor. Easily one of the best dishes I've had in a while. The wedge salad was also fresh, crisp, and really well balanced. Highly recommend -- definitely one of my favorite spots.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so bright and airy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great vibes and good energy from all the servers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat at the bar for food and drinks and had a good time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The charcuterie was great for 2. Plenty of different cheeses. We also got the crab cakes which were delicious. Their eggplant caponata was just okay. Spicy margarita was pretty basic. A little sweet for my taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Could see this place getting packed during prime season.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This came with a huge variety of family style appetizers (delicious), a choice of entrees (the scallops were heavenly), and a cute cheesecake pop tower for dessert. Drinks were extra - I didn't like my cocktail that mixed tequila and coconut milk but my friends raves about the summer sangria spritz. The dinner venue was playing awesome pop music (albeit a bit too loudly) and there was an Instagramable patio near the eating tables so we were surprised to find out the after dinner club was in a separate dinky pub a 2 minute drive away. The venue offered shuttles to the "club", but not back, so we opted to drive. We finished dinner and arrived to a DEAD club at 10pm. Few people had arrived, and the music selection was much worse. The crowd didn't pick up until 11:30pm, and the music barely improved by then. I spent most of the time people watching instead of dancing. Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating - large parking lot near the dining location - reservations recommended - moderate amount of vegetarian options - great for groups

It was a little difficult to find since there are no street signs in the area and the restaurant is kind of hidden behind some large bushes. We finally found it. The parking lot is very small and as a result, they have instituted valet parking. They have done away with paper tickets and you have to use a QR code. When you are getting ready to leave, you can contact the valets and they can have your car ready for you when you come out. We entered the restaurant after squaring away the car and it was early so there was no problem being seated. It is a very pleasant looking space, on the water with seating indoors and outside. It is a great place to watch the sun set over the water. David B..was our server and after setting us up with some water, he took out drink orders [a Corona beer and a Negroni] We began looking over the menu. It is not a vast menu and each food group [meat, seafood, etc.] has limited choices. The appetizer listings have several more options. Wine list is impressive and is by the glass or bottle along with a list of specialty cocktails. . Our drinks arrived and we gave David B. our food order. My friend to the spicy shrimp rigatoni and I ordered the salmon. Our food arrived shortly after. Both meals were delicious. The spicy rigatoni can be made according to your heat level. The salmon was sitting on a bed of 3 boiled potatoes, olives, capers, cherry tomatoes and mashed potatoes with a sprig of rosemary and was cooked to perfection. It flaked away very nicely. My friend got another Corona and I continued to drink the water provided after my Negroni. In terms of caveats, it is pricey [food and drinks] and although we were there for happy hour, there is no per se happy hour menu that we were made away of. It is a large place, clean with more than adequate staffing. I did not use the restroom while I was there so I cannot comment on how well it was maintained. David our waiter, was attentive and accommodating, checking on us periodically to see if we needed anything else. Our table wobbled a bit and they sent someone over the take care of it for us. I would recommend but as the summer season continues-reservations.

Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi

I couldn't believe he was only 19 years old, very professional. I ordered the Cucumber Fizz, which I honestly hated. I don't think I've sent a cocktail back in years, but it wasn't a proper gin fizz at all. It just tasted really muddy and was missing some citrus. My girlfriend got a glass of Whispering Angel which came out very cold and she enjoyed. We ordered the 30 grams of caviar for $148. The caviar itself was very tasty and came on ice. I didn't love the crème fraîche, it was missing some onion or chive on the side (granted, that wasn't stated on the menu, so that's okay because it came how it was intended). However, I was NOT happy with the blinis. They weren't tasty, they were all different shapes and sizes, some had crusty edges, some had curled-up edges. They just didn't look like there was much care put into them, especially for the price. We also shared the lamb- ordered it medium. Two of the pieces came out well done, and one medium. Yes, the sauce was tasty, but the meat, again, for the price, was just not cooked correctly. I was starving at that point, so I told him not to worry about it and that they didn't have to make it again. Our waiter was great though, offered to send out a new one but we declined because we needed to get going. Also shared the squash blossom quesadilla which I was psyched for. I love squash blossoms, but there was just wayyyy too much cheese in it, not enough seasoning. I get that it's a quesadilla, but the cheese was overwhelming. The jalapeño sauce also didn't really go with it for my preference. Overall, this experience just did not even come close to being what we thought it would be. They did take 2 drinks off the bill to offset the well-done lamb, very nice and for sure appreciated it. But overall, I would never come back. Made sure I tipped our waiter 30% because none of the issues were with service. But blah! The ambiance is pretty both inside & outside but absolutely skip this place. Every dish was missing something. Expected more from a JG spot....
