The restaurant has beautiful views weather you sit inside or out. The food was delicious, I got the swordfish, which they made sure didn't contain any of my allergens. My wife got the salmon and said it was delicious. The staff was very kind, personable and attentive. Definitely recommend you try this place. read more

Edgewater Restaurant - Limoncello spritz and a espresso martini - Seafood Near Me - Hampton Bays, New York

This place is a 10/10 for me. The view is amazing, the food is outstanding, the drinks are strong, the service is friendly - what more could you want? Came here on a Thursday night and was able to grab two seats at the bar. I started off with a cosmo which was made perfectly, served in an insulated martini glass to keep it nice and cold. For starters we had the charbroiled oysters which were unlike any oyster dish I've ever had. Topped with garlic, parmesan and sriracha, the sauce that comes off of these bad boys gets soaked up with the focaccia its served with. Honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. We also had fried calamari which was solid. For mains, I had the veal Milanese which was perfectly cooked. Crispy, topped with fresh tomatoes and arugula plus shaved parmesan. My brother had the lobster pasta which I tried and was out of this world. The shitake mushrooms in this dish really add a depth of flavor you don't normally find in a lobster pasta. I haven't stopped thinking about those oysters and will absolutely be back. Everything in the Hamptons is expensive, but this place is where you want to spend your money. read more

Edgewater Restaurant - Espresso BBQ Pork special with Corn Salad - delicious! - Seafood Near Me - Hampton Bays, New York

My brother and I did not want to bother with dinner yesterday and decided to go for happy hour at Edgewaters. We had been there recently and really liked it. It has a nice vibe and is not too crowded if you sit at a table. The night we went, the bar was packed so I am glad we were given the option of a table or booth. Once we were settled in the booth, water arrived at the table and our drink orders were taken by our waitress who was very nice and personable. My brother got a beer and I decided on the Edgewater espresso martini, which was really good. We placed our happy hour food choices when she returned-my brother opted for the wings and I got the shrimp and ,mushroom risotto. The food arrived quickly and was hot. Both our meals were delicious. The risotto was covered with shaved parmesan cheese and was very tasty. I would recommend and will be returning. read more

Great experience my first time here. It was near perfect! And I would absolutely come back and recommend. I had the tostada. It was delicious but my egg was overcooked. I asked for it over medium but the yolk was cooked all the way through. It was still tasty but would have been better, had it been cooked over medium. I might have thrown the chef off by asking for it over medium. My girlfriend go the quinoa salad, which I'm getting next time. It was so yummy. Her husband got the frittata, which he loved and my hubby got got the Chicken Milanese. Also very happy. Bottomless Bloody Marys were excellent and the Negroni got high marks. The standout was the Almond Dessert. Pure perfection. I'm also ordering that the next time. If I could give Edgewater 4.75 stars, that would really be more accurate but I only give five if it's a perfect experience. Nice ambience and great service. Overall, we were very very happy with our meal and it might be our quarterly meeting place because it's the perfect halfway point for where we live and my friends who are in East Hampton. Thank you Edgewater Restaurant. Fantastic, near perfect experience. read more

Gorgeous water views both inside and out. European style bathrooms where the solid doors meet the floor and ceiling. Attentive on point staff. The Summer Blossom cocktail although beautiful had a very high alcohol taste to it. Some people would appreciate that but I didn't. As I ping-ponged tasting my family's food I would say that it was overall very good, except the crab salad was a bit bland. I would definitely return-just giving my honest opinion to help others make their own best selections. read more

The food was absolutely amazing and the view and ambiance was equally amazing! We can't wait to go back to try some more dishes.

I'm not here to talk about what went well. I'm tired of going out to the Hamptons & them nickel & dining me on little things like blue cheese olives in your martini. Everyone should look out for the extra's. They don't tell you until you're billed. 2nd time now. read more

Great food and beautiful water views we sat down very easy on a Friday night, the place was packed, service was decent.

Edgewater used to be good but it's just gone down hill. We have water there many times. The food was fresh and a great atmosphere. We will no longer frequent this establishment. The last time we ate it was clearly evident the food was precooked and then reheated and I may add not very well. One side was actually cold. Maybe that's how they deal with volume but I expect chicken stracciatella to be freshly fried. After all 2 people , appetizer two drinks a salad and chicken comes to $160 with tip. It's just not worth it. Go to 75 main st in Southampton. Meals are not pre cooked and made to order for the same price ! I'm tired of getting ripped off by the summer hustle. Even Pelligrinos on Noyac rd freshly cooks your chicken for the same $. Edgewater is just a no! read more

Love this little restaurant the food is fabulous. The service is great and the cocktails are always perfect.

Came here for a bridal shower and couldnt believe the view and food! The spaghetti and meatballs was extraordinarily delicious and they kept the amazing bread coming! I even asked for extra to take home. They did an amazing job hosting the bridal shower. I have it on my radar to go back for dinner in the near future as well. Great experience here. read more

Amazing food with an amazing view. I came here for my birthday dinner, and it was a surprise by the husband. Little did he know that I've been eyeing the spot for when we take drives out here. They don't take reservations but you can call 15 minutes ahead to put your name on a waitlist. We took a chance and didn't call ahead which was fine because there was only a half an hour wait, and that was on a Sunday evening. There's a nice little patio outdoor area that you could sit and wait for your name to be called for an open table. I grabbed a drink at the bar and ran it out to the patio and enjoyed the view. Only 20 minutes passed when we were called and we literally got the best seat in the house. Just outside the indoor dining area is another outdoor patio dining area that wraps around the restaurant. We were lucky enough to snag a spot that looked out to the water. From the bartender to the servers and the host everybody was really friendly and super laid-back with great recommendations. I had two different cocktails. Both were on the seasonal menu and the first one was delicious, but had a little bit too much mint that I ended up consuming , my second cocktail was just as good and both were super light and refreshing. The food was awesome, and I was surprised by a lot of the menu items that were featured. For instance, one of the appetizers was a sausage pinwheel. We ended up getting that and I was super impressed how this totally worked as an appetizer. My main course was the duck pizza, how cool of a dish is that? If you love duck, this is the pizza for you! It had mushrooms...it had shredded, delicious and very well cooked duck ... and on top was a plum sauce that was drizzled very generously and paired well with all the toppings on the pizza. This was an awesome way to close out my birthday weekend. I can't wait to try the spot again. We're definitely putting it on our list of go to restaurants when driving out east. read more

Amazing food, amazing staff. Great atmosphere wether you're inside or outside. Food is a bit pricey though, but the quality and flavor more than makes up for it. They have a pond there and it makes the whole place feel a lot nicer read more

friends and I went on a double date there this past Friday. Our server, Angel, was so pleasant. He was so kind and was able to accommodate our meal request. The bussing staff as well checked up on us often for dirty plates or refill, we never had to ask for anything. The food portions were definitely up to standard and not too pricey either. The setting was beautiful since the restaurant is right on the water. Will definitely be coming back here!! read more

Eh. Food was decent but the view was great. My husband and I dined here tonight as it was 75 degrees and sunny out! It was a little cold outside so we opted to dine inside. It was a little chilly so I wore my jacket. The view of the water is perfect and the restaurant is very clean. Loved the blue touches everywhere. We were promptly seated but it took a little bit for our waitress to come to our table. Nonetheless, she was very nice. When my husband was stuck on what beer he wanted to order, our waitress gave him a very generous sample from the bar. For starters, we ordered the fried calamari which was delicious. Although I did not see penne a la vodka on the menu, I asked our waitress if the kitchen could make it and she said yes. While it looked promising, it lacked flavor that I was hoping it would have. It was extremely bland and needed more seasoning which was a bummer. My husband ordered the shrimp oreganata risotto and he finished his entire dish. They had a very extensive dessert menu (pistachio gelato, cheesecake, chocolate lava cake, cannoli, etc.) but we were too full to order. Should we ever return, I'm going to try the chicken parmigiana. read more

We arrived Saturday night without a reservation. The hostess was able to seat us in the corner water-facing booth. We went for brunch. Nice place- we thought it was on water, but it is across a busy street from the water, so its not really a relaxing view The food we ended up with was good- just not what we wanted. We ordered avocado based dishes to have the waiter- very apologetically- tell us they had no avocados. About 20% of the menu involved avocados!! They did give us free deserts to make up for it We may go back for dinner- the choices seemed nice read more

Fantastic experience all the way around! Beautiful dining area, with a great view of the bay. There are several outdoor seating options as well. We had reservations for six on a Friday night, and I would recommend, the restaurant filled up quickly. Our food was fantastic. We enjoyed calamari, and mussels for an appetizer, and each one of us had something different from the menu (everyone raved about how great the food was from start to end) we of course had to finish with homemade dessert. My husband and I enjoyed some of the specials, which were asparagus soup and black tip shark. The lobster ravioli was superb! read more

I had a party of 3 for Sunday Brunch. The menu for Brunch, breakfast side, is awful...no omelette, 2 of the 7 dishes are with Avocado. Had the Sausage and Egg Scramble. Awful, with cold burnt bread along with cold coffee. Eggs Benedict came with nothing on the side and served with arugula. don't think I would go back unless they changed the menu to include pancakes, omelette and better choices. read more

Benedict was so delicious, it was filled with flavor and so soft to bite into. Just melted in your mouth, with a nice crunch of the English muffin. Definitely recommend Also tried their wings, which were so good and weren't over cooked. They were soft, came right off the bone but still had some crunch. Still craving more of the wings for sure We finished with this cake that had almond crumbs and cream, I forget the name but it was so good I want to get this again too. Super pretty inside with a nice view, close to the water but not quite on the water. Service was good he let us enjoy our time without hovering and was super nice to us. read more

What could say summer in Hampton Bays more than a table by the water? These folks have a plum waterfront spot- especially if you're dining on their front deck. Restaurant is pretty big and stylish. These guys used lawn area off to the side with 3-4 tables and there's more outdoor seating...and that's what I wanted- especially during these Coronav. times. Staircase leads up to a Koi pond, more outdoor seating by hostess station and even more seating spaced at 6' on their waterfront deck. Plus you got indoor seating also spaced out accordingly. Edgewater doesn't do reservations right now- just walk in. Our wait was about 20 minutes and grabbed drinks. Bartenders wearing masks, a group of men galavanting without theirs- so hubs and I had drinks more than 6' away from them. My Tajin rimmed 'Ginger Herradura' was potent as well as hubs' Martini something. Counter was grimy and sticky. And in these Coronavirus times, I could tell these guys are not following cleanliness to the fullest and that sucks. Hand-held drink chart which I touched, wasn't cleaned when I put it down. Come on now. Our meals later on were tasty. Hubs enjoyed his Medium rare Ribeye and my shrimp 'Risotto'....well- let's just say this isn't an Italian restaurant. Service was nice from the busboy down to our server (both wearing masks). My guy Austin was super chill and quick on his toes. When I asked if there was any type of mustard in the balsamic vinaigrette on my Sliced+Bleu Crumble salad, he came back to me and said there was- promptly. So thank you for looking out man! Listen- my issue is this: if I ALSO have to look at major sanitizing housekeeping protocols when I go out- especially while the world is STILL facing this pandemic, so be it. Because not only does food, bar and service play a role- but now Coronavirus cleaning methods is in the mix too- which these folks aren't following. read more

Another fantastic meal at the Edgewater tonight! We tried a few different things this time and they were all outstanding. The beet salad was delicious and refreshing! The shrimp on crisped rice was inventive and very tasty. And I was totally surprised by the steak frites- I was expecting a piece of steak (sirloin?) but instead was presented with what I believe was skirt steak perfectly cooked and covered in a light cream/peppercorn sauce. The meat was tender, flavorful- delicious! One of the best pieces of beef I've ever eaten. Keep up the great work, ! read more

It's impossible to go wrong at Edgewater! Creative, high quality & well portioned cocktails. Do NOT miss their amazing Bruschetta appetizer! The pistachio gnocchi appetizer is as delicious as it is unusual. Salmon is generously portioned, cooked to perfection: ever so slightly crispy outside, flaky & smooth inside. Toasted Almond cake is heavenly, as is the Nutella Banana Bread Pudding. Service is attentive & quick. A solid 5 stars! read more

Place is pretty overrated in my opinion. I suppose if you like very large portions of calorie dense food with very little taste (think Olive Garden) then this could be a good place for you. I prefer something a bit more refined and unique where the patrons aren't getting rolled out of the establishment after gorging on butter and oil. Location is decent as there is some view of the bay across the street. Better places in the area though. read more
