If i could give zero stars i would. As a greek person who loves eating greek food, holy F*** this place was absolutely HORRIBLE. We had a reservation at 9:00pm and waited 40 minutes to be seated. After we finally sat down, we waited another 10 minutes just to get water. The waitress was incredibly rude from the start and acted like we were inconveniencing her. The worst part was the food. OMG how do you people like the food it was HORRIBLE. I ordered the chicken, and it came out raw. not undercooked, raw!!!!! When we brought it to the waitress's attention, instead of apologizing or offering to replace it, she argued with us and insisted, "That's what it's supposed to look like." What the F***, chicken is not supposed to look this. Between the awful service, the long wait despite having a reservation, and being served HORRIFIC FOOD, this was one of the WORST restaurant experiences I've ever had. Delicious food and the best vibe for dancing! Customer service could use improvement! This is my second time at Calissa's and we always have a blast! This time we did the Bottomless Wine Package. We have two hours of bottomless and picked out three apps, three entrees, and three sides. I loved the dip platter, lemon potatoes, and leek rice -- so tasty and flavorful! Our servers during the evening were so much fun! The DJ starts at 10pm and played the best music. We had a blast dancing the night away! My only complaint was that our meal included dessert and we never received it. We realized the next day and when we called the restaurant, we were rudely told that if we had just said something at the time, they would have served it to us. We were the only two guests in the restaurant. After we were seated, we had to ask for the price fix menu. The waiter then informed us that it was no longer available. When we told him that we had just made the reservation a couple of days ago, and the menu is still on the website, he walked away and got the manager. The manager came over, apologized for the misunderstanding, and then said there was nothing he could do. The website had not been updated and the price fix menu was not available after Memorial Day. It's been two weeks since Memorial Day. Don't you think that they could've updated the website by now? The manager would not honor the price fix menu. Did he offer us any accommodation whatsoever? NO! We got up and left. We were looking forward to trying this restaurant. The price fix menu seemed like a good way to do it. However, given this experience, we will not return. read more

I saw that Ja Rule was guest bartending and thought it'd be fun to have dinner here and see him. I emailed the contact listed on the event details to get on the list -- they said to make a regular reservation and that I would be able to see him after. We arrive at Calissa, valet the car and get right in to the restaurant which is really beautifully decorated and upscale. Folks are impeccably dressed here. We received the menu and took a look, then asked about when Ja Rule was going to arrive. Our server told us that event was separate from the restaurant which I thought was weird. I had said I emailed someone about it and they said we could go see him after if we made a reservation, he said "that sounds right" and then gave us more time to decide on food. When he came back I asked if there were any specials - he let me know that they had a black sea bass whole fish for $55. I went with that for my main, we also had the Greek salad and Zucchini chips. All the food was delicious. The Greek salad was made the traditional way with fresh feta, the zucchini chips were crispy and light and my black sea bass was tender and flavorful. When the bill came, I noticed that my fish was actually $110. We asked the server who told us the price was per pound. That per pound part was omitted from when he told us the specials...but what can you do. We paid the bill and went over to see Ja Rule which was exciting until security told us this was a private event. I explained that I'd emailed the event contact who instructed me to make a reservation in order to see him bartend. He told me that I would have to go to the outside bar as this portion was a private event. We got a few photos and left -- halfway into our 40 minute drive home we noticed that our house keys were missing off our car key chain. We tried calling the restaurant several times on our way back, no answer. The valet was not sorry at all, claimed it had fallen off which wasn't possible if you saw this keychain. SERIOUS FOOD SAFETY AND SERVICE CONCERNS. We had a 9:00 PM reservation and weren't seated until around 9:45 PM, and even after that we were left waiting again before anyone even acknowledged our table. The entire experience felt disorganized and frustrating from the start--dirty plates stayed on our table through multiple courses, we weren't given clean utensils for our entrées, and at one point a side dish was literally placed on a dirty surface next to us before being served. The most alarming part was the chicken, which looked undercooked with visible red and pink inside; when we raised it, the response we got was dismissive and unsettling, telling us that's "how it's supposed to look" and to "try it," which made us feel completely unheard and uncomfortable. On top of that, the restaurant felt chaotic the entire night, with restroom lines spilling into the entrance and the advertised soccer match being cut off mid-game without any explanation. To end the night, the check was dropped off abruptly with almost no acknowledgment of the experience other than being told the chicken was complimentary. This is a beautiful restaurant with a super aesthetic patio that makes you feel like you've taken a getaway to a Mediterranean country. Bar is moody and offers many different cocktails as well as an extensive wine list. Came here with a large group of girls for a bachelorette and our table was well cared for all evening long -- our glasses were never left empty and our courses were paced without feeling rushed allowing us to enjoy the ambience and the company. I highly recommend ordering the dip sampler as an appetizer and ordering either the salmon or the lamb chops. One thing I would note here is that while all the dishes tasted really good it was all a little bit bland for my taste -- however I do imagine it's due to the ingredients being really fresh and the chefs not wanting to overseason the dishes. Food came so late they turned the lights off on us. Our main dishes came 2 HOURS after we ordered. The owner refused to turn the lights on so we could eat. The food was pretty good but not worth waiting 2 hours for. The catch of the day was fillet which was nice. The pork chop was like butter. The ambiance was shit. Very fun Greek restaurant for a DJ dinner that starts at 1030pm! Great place to grab dinner and stay for the music and dancing. Had an outdoor DJ and indoor DJ next to the bar. On the night we went, there was a live saxophone player which I loved! Food was very good but expensive and the service was quite slow. Fresh tomatoes in the Greek salad, loved the calamari, and the branzino was light simple and delicious! Very warm and cozy but the bartender made a face when we asked about the price fixe menu (that is available all night/every night according to the website ) and they grudgingly gave it to us. We decided to just order off the regular menu and it was all just ok. And then they took the liberty of adding a TWENTY percent tip on to our bill (there were only two of us , and we typically tip 20%- but shouldn't it be a choice??) Overall was 't blown away. Went with a group of friends for a bachelorette and upon arrival, there's a group up front, one of who is the hostess and then some dude and another girl. They looked us up and down and seemed pretty judgmental. Vibes were not welcoming and they clearly have a preference in crowd. We made reservations for 9 p.m., and the place was still popping. We walked in, and it's fairly dark. I observed the different areas in which people can reserve areas for events. There's a large bar area that people congregate around. I didn't see any kids, but apparently, there was a kids' menu, and it was late. The only gripe that I have with this place are the bathrooms. I have no idea why there is such a long line, but maybe there should be an extra one for the back. I have to say that the service was pretty good. For the food, we ordered a lot. The saganaki cheese, which has honey and sesame on it, was so delicious. The watermelon salad was very refreshing. Can't go wrong with crispy calamari. The grilled Octopus was good, too. Extremely Disappointing Experience - Especially on a Birthday My daughter hosted her 24th birthday at Calissa with five friends, expecting a fun night at a high-end Hamptons restaurant. Instead, they spent nearly 50 minutes dealing with aggressive and inappropriate behavior from the staff. One guest, also 24, had her valid PA "Real ID" driver's license confiscated after the bouncer's scanner flagged it. She calmly explained her age and provided a valid Irish passport card (she's a dual citizen), yet the staff refused to return her license and threatened to call the police--to which the group responded, "please do!" My daughter called me, upset and trying to advocate for her friend, only to be met with dismissiveness. No one took responsibility. When asked to make it right, the manager comped a single, inexpensive half glass of champagne and said, "I'm not going to apologize, that's not the right word. Let's just call it an unfortunate incident." Honestly, that was almost as unacceptable as the incident itself. I'd suggest they read Will Guidara's Unreasonable Hospitality. The food may have been good--but no restaurant should treat guests this way, especially during a birthday celebration. read more

Service was fantastic & everyone was friendly! They do add on a 20% admin fee, nobody told us, but looking at the bill, I saw it and they also had a spot to add a gratuity. Of course I gave a generous tip because of the service & it being close to the holidays. Somebody may not notice that though. I don't think that admin fee goes to the server in full. This was my first time visiting, and the food was amazing. My friends and I ordered the Bronzino for two it was so fresh and flavorful. We also got the side order of lemon potatoes and they melted it in your mouth. The flavors were so incredible. We also got the Greek salad with fresh Feta cheese and Was extremely flavorful. Always convivial and happily loud. We always dine outside. Our last visit was in late August. Cocktails were great, we had a few spreads and an excellent fluke crudo. We shared mains, the whole fish was excellent, as always (but maybe a little bit smaller this season), the lamb got excellent reviews. The Horta greens and lemon potatoes were delicious. It's always fun when they turn off the lights and the DJ comes on. We left a little early but managed to be the first ones on the 'dance floor'.
