Almond Croissant

Every time I come here, there is a new dessert that they put out on the counter. Today it was the tiramisu, creatively designed and velvety smooth. The service here is top notch. Everybody knows my name even though I usually make the drive out here only once a month. Keep doing what you are doing, Armin and Judy. Your bakery is my favorite French bakery in the Hamptons. Warning: They tack on a 10% service charge for all take out orders.

This is my new favorite spot in the Hamptons! Food is insanely fresh. Hands down the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I also came back for breakfast and loved the omelette, pastries, and coffee. The is also a bakery in the back with the most insane selection.

No, no, no and no. Driving back from Pierre's I notice what appears to be what looked like possibly French bakery inside a restaurant... Beckoned in by a "bakery inside" sign outside of a Montauk Highway based French eatery restaurant... slowed down to give it a try... There were sit down tables. Also a counter similar to a diner with a long row of bakery items on it ranging from croissants to baguettes. Got two croissants and a baguette to go. 1) The chocolate/ almond croissant had no chocolate or almond inside. Not a little. None. Had to bring it back in. 2) the baguette was so dense and chewy it was almost impossible to break a piece off while in the car. 3) The Hampton prices I happily accept. But the posted prices were all false. They added 20 percent on without telling me. So I had to question $4 in tax on my two croissants and one baguette. Only to be told its been added since the pandemic. Ok..... I'm not going to tell anyone how to manage their shop... but its the law to not post one thing and charge another.. One question ... . why not just say chocolate almond croissant $8.40? I get its weird out here in the winter.. Just put the actual prices on the little write on signs. A customer willing to pay you $7 for a croissant should be appreciated. Not charged $8.40. Mello the server was cool and helpful. Was completely aware of customers reaction after pointing out math not adding up. So no. Not for the price. Not for the likely one time mistake by a chef forgetting the ingredients. But for not being forthright and stressing out your staff.

My husband and I came here with some friends and were able to enjoy the patio. I'd suggest sitting on the side of the trees closer to the restaurant so you don't feel as if you're right on Montauk highway. The service was good and the food was also nice. My friend is obsessed with the burger here so I ordered that to share with him along with one of their pizzas. The burger was good, but I wouldn't say it was worth the praise that it was given. It's one of those burgers that adds thousand island/French type dressing to it, so it's going to taste good. The pizza on the other hand was phenomenal - one of the best that I've had (if you like deep dish style pizza you will love it). I'd definitely come back, it's a convenient location and the prices are reasonable.

Eggs Benedict-eggs were nicely poached, and the hollandaise had good flavor, thin sliced ham (of good quality), a single slice of good wheat bread. That was it on the plate. No fruit, no potatoes, nothing...2 eggs, 1 slice of toast, 2 oz of hollandaise they charged $24. It's the Hamptons but come on. To drink I ordered a cranberry and seltzer; the check said Shirley Temple and it was $12. That is 2-3 oz. of cranberry juice and some seltzer, really? This is just not the way to do it. Cute place, food was of good quality, but I felt gouged by the pricing and won't be back.

I had a wonderful experience at Armin & Judy. The place is very cozy and homey, they're open all year round, my favorite time is during the summer. The service is good, attentive and sweet. The food is really great, I recommend their oysters! Everything's so fresh and tasty. Their baked goods in the morning are delightful as well. The menus are short & but have a good selection to choose from, the drinks are yum too. Definitely stop in! Enjoy!

Great new spot ! The Raw bar was excellent especially the caviar sandwich. The bread is baked so warm and fresh! Then to top it off the liquor and desserts are uniquely delicious ! Loved the cheese cake! Awesome location and a beautiful setting ! The staff and owners were very friendly. Looking forward to some great meals here !

Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi

We absolutely loved our first time stay at Barons Cove. We can in the off season November but the…read moreplace seemed very busy with guests. We stayed two nights in a dog friendly room, which was spacious and clean - no previous smell of a dog at all! They had a dog bed and treats with bowls waiting for her. It was so cute! We visited the restaurant and our food was great. Service was quick and helpful with the menu as well. They had the fire place on which was so nice. We went to the bar/lounge afterwards and had a few drinks by that fireplace. So nice and relaxing. Staff was always welcoming and all drinks and food were good. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. That's all you can ask for! My only complaint was when we were checking out I wanted to make sure our bill was correct and wanted to speak with someone. With Sunday brunch going on upstairs there was no one at the front desk for almost 15 minutes. During the time I was waiting two other people came behind me to wait as well. The front desk person who came back was quick and friendly to get us checked out but for the price I would think someone would be there at all times? We can't wait to come back to Barons Cove soon!!

Our two night stay at Baron's Cove was a mixed experience…read more On the plus side: 1) Their staff is friendly and helpful (especially Concierge Eliza). 2) Decor is pretty and homey with flowers all around. 3) We didn't get to use the saltwater pool but it looked inviting. 4) Free live music in the lounge every night was a nice perk. 5) Walkable to town or free bikes provided. 6) Spacious room with cute patio. 7) On-site dining available. Room to Improve: 1) Inflexible 4:00PM check-in. They emailed to ask when we'd arrive beforehand; I said 2:00 and would appreciate an early check-in, they said to wait and will text me when room was ready. Actually we had to wait outside in the heat or in the crowded lounge until 4:30PM, no early check-ins for anyone (there were other guests waiting with us). We would have walked into town for lunch had we known this. 2) Free coffee but no included food for breakfast, which is only served in their upstairs restaurant at extra charge. At BC's price point they could have offered a few complementary pastries, as is done at many cheaper venues. 3) The a/c in our room was old, noisy, had no remote and didn't work well. Musty smell in room. 4) Lunch served outside only in all kinds of weather, insufficient umbrellas to provide shade on hot day. (Pls see separate review for their restaurant). All in all our stay at Barons Cove was pretty good, but felt their oldish amenities didn't warrant high room rates plus puzzling "resort fees."
