So my wife came to Pierre's on Memorial Day for a nice lunch. And Ofcourse, Pierre's didn't disappoint.....for the most part. As seen in the pictures, my wife got the hanger steak sandwich with fries and I got the eggs Benedict with the lobster flambé ( added an extra egg ). Absolutely delicious as always. We also had a couple cocktails which were outstanding. My "napoleon old fashioned " may have been my favorite drink I have had since my old fashioned I had a nobu about 5 years ago. Only knocks is my wife's steak was overcooked. She asked for med-rare but it came out med-well. We didn't say anything because it's all about flavor and the flavor was there. Other than that, delicious. I forgot what they called their actual dessert but to me it's an affogato which was good. Now, here's why it only got 4 stars and not 5 : THEY TOOK CHOCOLATE MOUSSE OFF OF THE DESSERT MENU!!!!! Pierre? Say it isn't so. Honestly, my wife and I come out an east a bunch of times a year. Your restaurant is usually on our radar. For me, it's for the mousse. It was so decadent, light, and just oh so good. Sad to see it go. Hopefully it comes back. I had lunch with 2 friends recently. I ordered the Salade Nicoise. The menu clearly said seared tuna, hard boiled egg, string beans, tomatoes, capers..... what I was served was a tureen of mashed avacado, and fine raw tuna, with sesame seeds, shoe string French fries??? I was being treated by my friends, so I said nothing...ate the lunch I didn't order. wouldn't it have been better if our waiter told me it wasn't available? very, very dissatisfied... read more

I had the same experience at Pierre's with the tip amount being increased to 20% after I left 18% because the service was not good. I reported it to the restaurant, thinking they would care but they did not. Instead, the woman with whom I dealt admitted what the waiter had done and offered a refund, which I wasn't interested in, as it was a very small amount. After speaking with the waiter and him admitting to her what he had done, she told me that this type of call was unusual. Of course, it wasn't, as I see Hollen V., who also left a YELP review, had the same thing happen to him in the same month, August 2026. Keep your receipts if you go to Pierre's, and compare them to your credit card charge or debited amount, but don't expect even an apology. read more

Our friends made a brunch reservation here for a group of 7 and they were able to accommodate our babies with enough space for our stroller and high chairs. It wasn't too crowded on a Saturday at 11am inside (I think most people wanted to sit outside) so we appreciated the space. Prices are typical for the area (think $19 smoothies and juices), but we had a fine experience with good service and ok food. I got an omelet and my husband got a croque madame. While my husband and I were at the Hamptons, I was looking for a French restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Despite the bad reviews, I still made reservations at Pierre's since the menu looked good. This place is a charming French bistro in the heart of Bridgehampton. The staff were polite, service was good, and the food was delicious. They also surprised me with a birthday dessert and it was to die for. Overall experience was wonderful and would definitely come back for some yummy authentic French cuisine next time I'm in town. read more

Last night, despite all obstacles, we managed to get to the restaurant on time for our 815 reservation for four. It was a stormy rainy night you were slammed. You couldn't honor your reservations and after finding out that it would take at least an hour to get seated. We decided to leave and seek another venue. and then you had the nerve after you couldn't honor my reservation on time to charge me $200 because YOU failed. The young lady at the front desk was snotty and nasty when after asking her when we were already a half hour waiting for our 815 reservation how long she thought it might be before we could actually get Seated she couldn't have been nastier but finally said at least 20 to 25 minutes, which is when we decided to leave What absolute nerve you have your food isn't good enough and your service truly isn't good enough to have this kind of snotty attitude. There was no place to stand. There was no place to sit people walking in dripping wet, and you decided that someone whose reservation you couldn't honor should be your captive or pay you $200 for being badly treated and your failing to honor the reservation even close to the reserved time! trust me we will never darken your doorway again and of course I've already started a dispute over this absurd behavior by you and will not ever pay you this money. read more

Horrible experience. What seemed to be the manager was highly unkept in appearance, disheveled, Which mirrored her managerial attributes. She made up excuses for their lack of ability for the evenings high reservations with only one cook on a holiday. They ran out of literally 98% of their entrees by 7:30 pm. When coming to Bridgehampton I enjoy coming to this establishment very much. Number one they love my dog Zev so that's an automatic high rating lol. Ok now for the food I had spinach and goat omelette. It was made perfectly great presentation and a yummy flavor yes had a party in my mouth. The meal came with a fresh green salad(dressed in oil and vinegar) and home fries that were seasoned with perfection. I also had a delish ice tea very refreshing. When we arrived for our reservation, I was told we would be seated outdoors rather than the requested indoors. When asked why, I was told because I was wearing shorts--even though a) they are dressy shorts and b) nowhere in its posted policy does it say shorts are prohibited. We complied, but weren't thrilled. Then I saw a number of men wearing shorts who were seated indoors. After a delicious meal--and after getting smacked with a thunderous rainstorm, I went in to re-inquire why we were seated outdoors. The "gentleman" re-stated the policy. I then showed him pictures of two men wearing shorts that he seated indoors and asked why. He claimed "I didn't notice THEIR shorts." I asked him if he was Pierre (older gentleman with white hair). He refused to give me his name and suggested I leave. Based on other similar reviews, I would suggest this person either take a lesson in how to properly treat human beings--or perhaps he should have a desk job in the back would be in order if he is incapable of appropriately interacting with his fellow man. If I were rating the restaurant on food, it would be a 5. If it were rated on his interactions, it would be lower than zero, thus my rating of 2. read more

Of my 4 years being a Yelp Elite and 5 years posting more than a hundred reviews, I have only ever given one spot a 1-star review. Now, we are up to two... Before coming here, I checked Yelp (of course) and noticed a glaringly low rating. I always read the reviews when it's low because people are often obtuse and will give a 1 star because the host was rude to them or something so trivial. After seeing MULTIPLE reviews about people finding COCKROACHES IN.THEIR.FOOD. I decided not to eat here. Because I was with 5 other people and didn't want to be "that girl" who changed everyone else's plans, I just sat at the table with them but didn't order anything. First thing, this is not an upscale restaurant. Despite the Main St. address and wealthy clientele, this is your average French bistro that you would find anywhere else. We had the outdoor seating for brunch, and we were on tables on the sidewalk, for context. We had just come from Barry's, so I had a boxed water with me, and, not long after we sat down and my friends ordered, the assistant manager(?) came up to me smiling and SO condescendingly asked if I thought my water was better than theirs...excuse me? He then proceeded to tell me I had to either chug it and give him the box or I could keep it on the floor...aka the sidewalk...but that I couldn't keep it on the table...we all thought he was joking, but alas, he was not. In fact, my blood is boiling writing this review, and this happened a month ago! Then, for the piece de la resistance, my friend ordered the omelette, and on her second bite, she pulled out a full piece of plastic- the circular plastic piece that you use to pull off a milk carton or *cough cough* a carton of eggs. She immediately lost her appetite and didn't ask for a replacement but that it would just be removed from the bill. They weren't shocked or apologetic, AND they forgot to remove it from the bill. Don't waste your time or money here- you can eat plastic and bugs in your food while drinking your water from the sidewalk elsewhere. read more

I've been here for both brunch and dinner, and I'd give the brunch 3 stars and dinner 4 stars, but I rounded down because there's no 3.5 stars and I don't think it quite deserves a solid 4. Dinner was during the warmer months when we were able to sit outside and enjoy their outdoor dining. I had the gazpacho for a starter, which was very fresh and tasty, though expensive for the portion. My husband had the ceviche, which he enjoyed and then we shared a steak and a fish. The fish was just OK, a little dry. The steak was cooked nicely but not excellent, though the sauce was delicious and the French fries were fried nicely. I then separately came for brunch a couple months later when there was an abnormally warm day and so was able to enjoy the outdoor dining again. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my brunch as much as my dinner. I ordered the salmon poached eggs with a side of avocado. The poached eggs were not cooked to the medium that I requested, they were extremely undercooked and running to the point of not being edible. It was also pretty expensive for what it was. I think I'll likely come back because it's one of the only restaurants right in the heart of bridgehampton, but I think I'd prefer to venture a little further first. read more

MOST OVERRATED PLACE IN THE HAMPTONS. FOOD TAKES FOREVER and comes out COLD. When you tell them it's cold, they tell you to eat it. If you ask them to heat it up, you get a song and dance and reluctantly they will "stick it in the oven" for 3 minutes for you. For $46 a steak, you deserve better. If you want substitutes, that's against the rules. It has really gone downhill. We had to wait over an hour between our appetizers and mains. The server forgot we existed....so much so that after another staff member brought us our check she came over and said "I'm sorry I never came over I was busy at other tables". Considering how much we paid for MEDIOCRE FOOD, I think this place is a legitimate joke. My colleagues and I found this place around lunchtime so decided to stop in for some food. Not sure how to describe the greeting but it was rather muted to say the least. Each of us noticed it and commented how unfriendly the gentleman was who seated us. Turns out he's the owner and the reviews on all sites pick up on his demeanor. He wasn't rude but certainly wasn't welcoming. Anyway, the food was pretty good and the rest of the staff seemed friendly and professional. The restaurant itself is quite nice and has a bright and cheery vibe - irony. It is quite pricey but I guess that's par for the course in the area. I's revisit but it's more likely I'll find different spots in the area before then. Give it a try and make your own mind up. The food won't let you down. read more

I've eaten at Pierre's countless times. The food is consistently fabulous. The staff is always attentive. The people watching is entertaining. Unfortunately, the bathroom has not been updated in years. It needs a complete overhaul. Outdated I can overlook. Went there for my husband's birthday. I had the salmon nicoise salad, a glass of sauvignon blanc. My husband had a cheeseburger and a diet coke. My salmon was cooked perfectly, a very healthy portion! Glass of wine was lovely! The burger was big, tasty and good fries. Service was great, friendly waiter! We finished it off with the raspberry meringue.. very fresh! First time going here and we were very impressed, made for a lovely birthday treat. Don't get the neg reviews. Perfectly poached eggs with perfectly steamed lobster on english muffins, with Bearnaise sauce, super coffee, outdoor tables etc. Nice food. You often have a wait, kitchen likely small in season for the crowds that come here, so get coffee and chill out. Not a bad place to be. Nice people walking by in the tourist season. At Pierre's the waitress doesn't know what to do so you get the junior manager who tells you to eat it. When you insist you want a hot main, they "heat it up" by putting it on a hot plate. It still isn't hot. For those of you out there who like to make side substitutions, that's against the rules. If you're outside the service is less than weak. Our service was so bad, the waitress came over and said she was sorry she forgot she covered our table. 1st experience at Pierre's and the food was sub par. I ordered a burger medium and it came out charred to a crisp and tasted like a hockey puck. Topping off a less then ideal 1st experience the waitress April never came back out to give us out check so I had to walk inside to settle up. April proceeded to give me the wrong check that was $400. My party ordered 3 burgers and 3 soft drinks which should have been $100 at most! After reviewing the check there were a handful of items that I told her we're not ours and she tried to tell me I was wrong and proceeded to point to where I was sitting and telling me I was wrong. Another waiter heard us discussing the check and asked if everything was okay and then April finally took another look at it and said it must have been the wrong check after all. Some dishes were over seasoned, mango avocado salad had no flavor and was poorly presented. Rack of lamb was well cooked and came with French beans and potatoes au gratin. Since I am lactose free, I asked for a double portion of beans instead of the potatoes and was told "no substitutions". Subsequently my dinner companion called the owner and asked why I could not substitute. The owner's answer was "this is my restaurant and i will run it the way i want to". Yes you can, but we will certainly not be back. BTW, good wine list by the bottle although glass prices were exceptionally steep. Dinner for 5 was $800. read more

Although this place has definitively one of the best French Toasts in the Hamptons, I got an omelette that was burnt, worse than what I could ever do on my own (which DEFINITELY is not a good bar, I suck). Not to mention waiting way too long to be served, albeit understaffed, and then taking away my starter when I was still eating. For a place priding itself on gourmet food and quality ingredients, this was one of the worst omelettes I've ever eaten and had poor quality fruit even though there's tons of fresh fruit to get anywhere in the Hamptons. It's hard to judge the whole menu, or the whole restaurant on every given day, but it's hard to ever want to come back here after this disappointment. First impression: walked into the restaurant.. smelled like wet towel.. not a good a good start.. and I keep thinking about it. Otherwise: Good food but overpriced for what it is. Lots of fancy wording on the menu.. but the reality is much different. The $22 "Bisque de Homard" is closer to a "broth" than a bisque. But broth would probably cost $10 instead.. The $26 "tarte flambée Alsacienne".. is basically a thin crust pizza with bacon, and onion.. nowhere near what. Tarte Alsacienne is! Oh... and the menu on the web site right now is not up to date either.. so be ready for more surprises.. Overall the food was good.. but I was expecting a more "French feel" to it.. and certainly not being tricked by the descriptions. I don't mind pricey dinners... my friends and I are foodies (and French).. so you better make my $700 worth every bites. That was not the case at Pierre's.. disappointing read more

While most restaurants in the Hamptons understandably have cancellation policies, they are usually 24 hour's notice. Pierre's has a 48 hour cancellation policy which for a usually empty a la carte restaurant is not the norm. Nonetheless, I wanted to try it out although I should have simply checked the Yelp and Google reviews or asked anyone in the industry about the horrendous reputation Pierre now has. My son got ill the morning of our reservation which of course was completely out of our control so I was forced to cancel the reservation at 12:30 PM for a 7:00 PM reservation. I then called the restaurant and even went in the next day and the hostess and manager told me Pierre personally handles all cancellation exceptions and that if I e-mailed a justifiable explanation and included a doctor's note, it would be ok. I e-mailed Pierre three times and attached a note from my son's doctor but received no reply. It's sad when a restaurant needs to rely on a $200 cancellation fee to survive rather than demonstrate compassion or understanding. Shame on you Pierre. read more

Pierres never disappoints. Oysters are always fresh. One of my favorites is the French Onion soup. Also the Lobster which comes de shelled.and sautéed is another favorite of mine. And don't forget the cauliflower au gratin! Beautiful place for outdoor or inside seating. Great place for lunch or dinner. read more
