Wax On is about the only place that always gets it right! Melissa and Heather are my favorite! I've been many times over the past 10 years and just moved away. Maybe Texas needs one?! I would recommend for anyone except the super shy.... I mean you are looking to get waxed, right? read more

I went in for my first bikini wax ever. i was a bit nervous but overall it was a good experience. I got Shelly and she made me feel very comfortable. read more

I loved the quick and easy way of booking online. Arrived early and the gal who waxed me was quick, efficient and super clean. Definitely will be back again. Love the location about a 10minute walk from home. read more

Loved this place! Clean, private, fast, and professional! Will be going back and recommending to friends!

Having moved from downtown to Capitol Hill a couple of years ago, I am thankful that there's a Wax On location in my 'hood, since it means I won't have to fight tourist traffic to get my mustache and unibrow taken care of. I'm doubly glad that my favorite esthetician, Stephanie, works at this location as well. I've seen other waxers at Wax On every so often, and they're great, but Stephanie is the bee's knees. Not only is she fast and efficient when it comes to the ol' zip n' strip (aka the Brazilian), she's friendly, professional, and she always makes me feel comfortable on the table. She also gives me the perfect brow arch, and I hate trusting my brows to anyone else. read more

I always have a positive experience at this location of wax on. Quick, efficient and super friendly. Also, I appreciate the reminder phone call. read more

The space itself isn't really the best, especially given it's a waxing salon. the walls are paper thin and I absolutely hate the bright lights above, but I guess good waxing does need good lighting. Nevertheless, I had one of my better wax-related experiences here (shocking, I know). The aesthetician was super-friendly, quick and kept me entertained. The process was also surprisingly less painful than any other place I've been too. For that alone, I'd say it's worth my repeat business. read more

I am not somebody who gets a lot of things waxed, just my eyebrows usually, and not very frequently at that. My brows are naturally arched and only require clean up so I'm generally in and out pretty quickly. That said, Wax On is amazing. They always do a wonderful job and listen to any specifications I have, and always offer to do a little more trimming if I want it. The price is insanely reasonable - typically around 15 bucks - and my sensitive skin only flares up for an hour or two afterwards. I just popped in today for the first time in a year (I know) and Krista was super personable and made the whole experience go smoothly. I'd recommend them to anybody in a heartbeat. read more

Stephanie is AMAZING - I never thought a Brazilian could be done so well in so short a time! It usually took me 15-20 minutes to get my pits and vag done. Steph is great with adding a minor service whenever I need to also. She's always on time (probably because she's so damn quick)! I can't recommend Stephanie enough. I've had a few experiences with other waxers around town, but they just don't compare! read more

I thought Wax On was great. Got my brows done by Leslie, who was friendly and efficient. I love that they have whiskey in the front lobby! Has a fun and silly atmosphere because who can taking waxing unseemly areas very seriously! Also, it was $5 cheaper than the place down the street... read more

Wax on spa is absolutely, no questions asked, the very best at what they do! I remember the first time I went here. I was astonished by how polite and friendly the service was. I did not know waxing could be so painless. I have been many times since, and each time I have had a different person, but they were all equally good. Also, they have a selection of alcohol in the waiting room to ease the pain. And some of the services are expensive, like the bikini, but they give returning customers a discount. If you go ask about the discount! read more

I love this place! Melissa is fast, professional and friendly. I have been going here for a couple years and have tried other places in between. I personally do not like a long, drawn out waxing sessions... I want to get in and get out as quickly and painlessly as possible. Wax On gets this done for me and they do a perfect job every time. I couldn't ask for anything more! read more

Sloppy Brows I've gone here twice because they are so close to my apartment. For an appointment only, waxing exclusive, requires you to sign a legal waver before they will do a brow wax, this place they are really sloppy. Heck even by hole in the wall, cash only, walk ins welcome standards this place is sloppy. Both times I have had go home and send quite a lot of time retouching. The first time my experience was okay. My lady was super nice, but after two times asking her to clean it up (and her just not getting it) I finally just ended the appointment and went home and spent 30 minutes evening it out. She'd given me lopsided brows, but importantly to my next experience that this place, at least there where two of them. This last time I went (a few days ago) the lady seriously sent me packing with a unibrow; after spending most of my appointment trimming my eyebrows. I've never had some one do more then one or two snips at the most, I felt like this lady was going to do a blow out when she was done, or perhaps an updo. I'm sure trimming a brow into shape is easier then waxing, or plucking, at least it's faster. Anyway after the hair cut (err shaping) She finally did some minimal waxing, and plucked like two hairs. She put the mirror up, and asked me how I liked it. I told her I'd like a little more off, the arches where thin but the base was still really thick, a proportion I couldn't think looked good by any standard. This time she plucked four hairs. The mirror came out again. I decided that the arch wasn't bad, and I could touch it up when I got home; because she hadn't even touched my middle I thought my arch was the only thing she was asking about. I said "okay." Thinking she would then start on the middle. I found quickly found out my appointment was done, as she said okay then and started to pack everything away for the next appointment. Five minutes of eye brow trimming, minimal waxing, and no attention to detail AT ALL. There are certainly better $15 brow waxes out there. That don't even require you to sign a legal document stating you won't sue them before they touch you. read more

I had an appointment with Sarah for getting a male Brazilian wax. She was very thorough, professional and the least amount of pain I have ever had getting that done. Its a couple of weeks since my appointment and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! read more

Definitely a must for anyone looking for a fantastic wax by a team of efficient, meticulous and personable miracle workers!!! My personal favourites are Christa and Devon, they will leave you feeling like a goddess as you float out the salon doors. read more

I'm at that point where the spirit of Andy Rooney is inhabiting my aging eyebrows. I've been to 3 different waxing spots now and am by far happiest with Wax On, and in particular, with Shelley, whom I've seen twice now. Actually, she's the only person who's tamed my brows at Wax On, so this review is as much for her as the business. The place is very clean, with a big pitcher of water with citrus slices in it at the reception desk. The waxing room had clean towels/sheets on the table, unlike one other place I'd been. Shelley is a hoot - fun, interesting, friendly. And man, she does a really great job. She got rid of all the bulk and wildness and errant hairs but maintained the length of the brow with a nice taper. She's fast with the ripping so the discomfort is minimal, in fact, barely noticeable. Five + stars for Shelley and Wax On. read more

i went there for my first bikini wax (not a brazilian), and the girl who did it made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. she chatted and smacked my leg a little bit after each rip to distract from the pain of the waxing. good results, too. i recommend them. read more

I have been going to Wax-On for seven years (I've been to all three Washington locations, but I usually am at Belltown or Capitol Hill). My first Brazilian experience was when I was 19 and the owner, Ann, waxed me. I cried all the way home. But it was not her fault! The first time you go it is a little...shocking - not to mention painful. I didn't think I would be back but once the pain subsided and I had a smooth, soft bikini area I really enjoyed my wax. Low and behold, I was back five weeks later. I have been waxed by many estheticians over the years but Stephanie has been my main gal for the past few. I am now over six months into my second pregnancy and I'm still getting waxed regularly. I actually love that they work quickly at Wax-On...a lot of times my wax is over before it even started! Can't complain there. I've recommended this spa to many people (including my own mother) and will continue to do so! read more

I've heard great thing about wax on and today after my appointment I can say it's true. The salon was neat and clean(always a plus). I was greeted at the door and shown in by Devon. Not only was Devon a meticulous waxer but she was quick. She gave some recommendation on overall care and solutions to those pesky ingrown hairs. I really liked the salon and based on my experience I will be going back. read more

I've had 2 appointments, both were 10 minutes late. They make you fill out a form each time -- which seems odd when you are a returning customer. Also, the place desperately needs to be painted. It would nice if the rooms were a bit more private -- you can hear the other clients because the walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling. And the rooms seem dirty. However, the service was good both times. read more

If you ever find yourself in Capitol Hill, make sure an esthetician named MELISSA is working the show because she made sure I was "completely bald" by checking all the nooks and crannies too. The best part is, she told me that if I even find small patches of hair that she might have missed- I could come back free of service. This is one of the very few places that charge a considerable price to get a front and back Brazilian, most places charge another $20-$30 to get the "back hair" waxed off. read more

When I lived in Capitol Hill, I used to go to this spa quite often. I love the facials I got there and the price is very reasonable. I also got wax there. They are super busy during the weeekend, so have to book at least 1 week in avance. read more

Heather is great. She always makes me brows look 10x better. I'm not bothered by the bright lights (I'd rather she be able to see what she's doing) and the room feels private enough to me. Their eyebrow wax is the cheapest I've found in town and a quality service. Can't recommend it enough. read more

I have been a loyal client of Stephanie's for nearly 5 years now. She is incredibly gifted and makes my monthly bikini wax enjoyable instead of torturous. I've seen her at both the belltown and capitol hill locations. I wont go anywhere else. read more

If you ever want to hear pleasant experiance in the same sentence as Brazilian wax, I highly recommend Wax On. I just went there for the first time today and have never left a brazilian wax more happy. I had Connie and she was fast yet thorough. Best of all- i barely winced, which says a lot coming from me. They make sure youre as comfortable as possible and they succeed. It was 55 for a maintenance which they consider it 5 weeks since your last and for the results it was worth it. They always have a nice selection of oinments and such to help with after wax care. I'll definitely be going back. :) read more

I went here for the first time the other day for an eyebrow wax and they did a fabulous job. Lovely little shop, great prices (only a few bucks more than the Aveda Institute and much better and faster), and my eyebrows are perfect. Very friendly staff too! Great find! read more

I walked in for my first appointment for a brow wax with Shelly and I didn't say a word, and she did a beautiful job making my brows how I always wanted them. I have not looked back. She is a doll and will not let you leave with brows that don't look fabulous. I have recommended Wax On to everyone I know. read more

I love this place. I will never get waxed anywhere else. Technicians are consistently, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They make you feel at ease in what can be a tense situation. I tell all of my friends to go there, even if they've never been waxed. And I bug them until they start waxing at Wax On. This place, and waxing in general, really improves my quality of life. read more

a friend told me about this place and i am so glad. this is a fabulous spot for expert, quick, safe and professional hair removal. it is a cute location nestled in a quieter part of capital hill. the folks there are totally friendly (love Shelly!) and really the service was fast and easy. two thumbs up for sure. read more

always friendly, good, and reliable service! thanks for the great wax...

love this place. awesome girls. great experience. and multiple locations are a plus.

I've been to 3 of these spas (I was given a gift certificate and didn't want it to go to waste) and every experience was absolutely horrible. The Belltown location was the worst. I called for an appointment and got an unprofessional voicemail. After 2 hours I finally get a call back to schedule me in. I show up and there is no receptionist to check me in, get me water, etc.(thus explaining the lack of live body on the phone and 2 hour wait time only to schedule an appointment). So I sat in the empty lobby for almost 20 minutes and this girl walks in, sees me waiting, and ROLLS HER EYES and says "Oh that's right... you're here for a 3 o'clock?" I look at my watch that reads 3:19pm and said "yes." She then made me wait even longer excusing her self to "finish something up" and I waited another ten minutes. So I lay down, 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, and am ready for my brazilian. NEVER, I mean EVER go to this location in your life. I left bleeding, and there was so much skin missing from patches of my vagina I had to wear neosporin smothered gauze for 6 days! I've had plenty of waxing done in my life, and have never seen such horrible customer service, or results. Especially for the ridiculous prices they offer. NEVER GO! read more
