They also have a frequent flyer deal, so the 10th appointment is free. My esthetician is pleasant to be around, easy to talk to, and does a great job. I called for an appointment a day before my flight to Hawaii and I thought it was going to be a failed wax session because I totally got lost on my way to the spa. I hadn't realized that I scheduled an appointment during rush hour on I-5 south so I opted to take Airport Way... but then there was a road block about .2 miles away from the spa so I FREAKED OUT. I called Jenna to let her know my situation and she told me it was totally up to me if I wanted to cancel or just try to make my way over there since she leaves at 7 and it was about 6:05 pm already. I was already in SoDo so I decided to figure out a detour to get there and I finally mad it. I had some parking issues at first since I couldn't find the spa but I eventually got a prime parking spot and made it!!! Phew. I was already frantic and frustrated but Jenna made the waxing experience totally comfortable and quick. It took about 30-40 minutes for the session and we just chatted the whole time like nothing wasn't even happening down there. I've been here twice already, I didn't like it the first time, but held off on my review just because I wanted to give them another chance. I just want to start off by saying, they didn't mess up on my brows, not like they waxed the entire thing off, but it just wasn't nice. I don't want to say names, for the reason of business but also because I don't know their names... both times I came in for brow wax. I think the staff are extremely nice and welcoming right when you walk in. They always make sure you they ask what you want and the end result. I usually wait for my brows to grow out before doing them, so the last time I came in... she waxed my brows and they were so uneven, it was noticeable. I usually don't say anything just because i try to be nice, but this time i pointed them out, and she sorta waxed a little more but then told me it was because of my brows, if she made them both look the same there would be a bald spot on one of them... I kinda just brushed it off and said ok thanks. I get my brows done all the time, I just came here because they had openings and i wanted to give them another shot. I'm a fan! A fan of both the spa and my waxer, Connie. Thankfully a friend referred me to this place because I seriously would have never found it on my own. This place is literally "a little hole in the wall" but it's a delightful surprise once you get in. Very well kept and spacious, which is a lot different from the impression you get from the outside. Their Happy Hour menu is amazing! A Brazilian for $48? You can't even get a decent maintenance from a good spa for that price. Ugh, unfortunately it's during the days that I work and I just so happened to be off this one day, so I was able to take advantage of it. I'll be back either way though. Price doesn't matter in this case. I've been getting waxed using regular wax, but my skin is so sensitive and always ends up having harsh reactions. I've heard many good things about sugaring and wanted to give it a try, so I was happy when my friend told me about the amazing deals here AND that they do sugaring. Score! Connie was super cool. I was LONG overdue for a waxing on my face and below the belt. I just recently moved back to Georgetown and instead of heading to my regular wax place in West Seattle I decided to see what the Georgetown 'hood had to offer. I found Wax Sabbath Spa from a Google search (sorry Yelp search!), saw that they offer happy hour pricing (more on that later), then called and made an appointment. Wax Sabbath Spa offers happy hour pricing on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday between 11:00am and 3:00pm. Certain services are discounted and who doesn't like getting a deal, am I right? My extended bikini and lip wax was $45 all together. YES! By the way Wax Sabbath offers sugaring along with waxing for those sugaring fans out there. Back to the lecture at hand, the location is off Airport Way S although the address is Airport Way S. It is in a building on that street but their store is around the corner. If you can find Flying Squirrel Pizza you can find Wax Sabbath. I had to step inside the pizza joint to ask where I could find Wax Sabbath and was pointed to it. I somehow missed the spa sign but there it was on the corner. The place is small but I think that is part of its charm. Very loyal to the name there is a lot of black. I was being treated by Jenna that day and she was great! She was friendly, maintained conversation, but best of all she was fast. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Wax Sabbath Spa is great! I am glad I was paired with Jenna my first time there because she made the experience even better. I meant to post this earlier but a while back I had my first and last sugaring experience here. I wish I caught the name of the girl who did gave me the Brazilian sugar wax but man did she mess up my private part!!!!!!!!! I got an unbelievable amount of ingrown hairs after, I couldn't shave or touch my private for months! It was so bad and hurt so much. I am not sure how the hell it happened because I'm told you get less ingrowns with sugaring, maybe it was my sensitive skin, maybe I am not compatible for sugaring. I noticed she didn't put aloe on me afterwards like my normal waxing spa maybe that was why... I'm not sure But I had to share my experience so no one else goes through what I did here. read more

I have been to wax sabbath 3 times for Brazilians, their happy hour price is great, and it never disappoints. The ladies are all really nice and professional, the treatment areas are very comfortable, and they rip hair from your nether regions fantastically. I get sugar, way easier clean up, and I always love that they have some great tips to help with the regrowth process or products they recommend. Ladies this service hurts, reference ripping hair from nether regions, but the wax sabbath ladies are quick and efficient, so its minimal pain for great reward. Helpful hint take some ibuprofen before service to help take the edge off and to prevent any swelling. Note: this is a place I think anyone would feel comfortable going to. I did my research before choosing a spa to be sugared at because I am a fat chick that has been places that aren't very welcoming to non-media normative bodies. This place is amazing. The inside is very classy and modern, doesn't make you feel like you don't belong even if you have just gotten off work, like myself. I arrived in my coffee shop uniform, and was so nice to fit me in as a walk in. She spend about 20 minutes total perfecting my eyebrows and waxing my upper lip. Usually, my eyes water like crazy when I get waxed. But not this time! It was actually a very relaxing experience! Random. The place is close to my 'hood and I'm all about neighborhood pride (Go Georgetown!) The place is cool--spa-ish stylings with a little edge. Angela totally made it easy; I may as well been getting my nails done it seemed so normal. Almost no pain and done in less than 20 min including initial paperwork and payment. I have to be honest, Sandy has been my waxer for a LONG time. I have seen her at another spa out of necessity, but am thrilled that she has struck out on her own. And let me tell ya, it really doesn't get much better than her talent and her new space, Wax Sabbath. She is thorough, efficient, and methodical at waxing. I get a significant amount of service each time I visit (full leg, bikini, etc.), and it is almost never more than 60-70 minutes. Her new space is beautiful; clean, minimalist decor/organized, bright, tasteful. Which is more than I can say for another waxer's space that I have visited in the same Georgetown neighborhood (I mean carpeted floors and skin care/waxing? If you cannot mop the floor, gross dude). Wax Sabbath services it's clients in a more environmentally friendly way and uses Organic skincare products and natural astringents, which is much better for my skin, and probably for yours also. Lastly but not least, Wax Sabbath is a better value than another spa I have visited for waxing in Georgetown. On average, about $40 less overall for the regular services I get. And, Sandy is just a better waxer, straight up. You never have to worry about breakouts, missing spots, or having to clean up wax bits off your body because your waxer is sloppy. She has a mellow, but professional and friendly demeanor. It's a GO! read more

After years of being too lazy to find a new defuzzin place, I finally asked around for recommendations. Almost everyone I asked recommenced Wax Sabbath. I scoffed at the trip to Georgetown and scheduled at the local place again. Mistake. The last time was brutal. Anywhoooooo, I'm so sad I waited so long to make the switch. I've been waxed and most recently sugared by two separate humans at Wax Sabbath and both were efficient, knowledgeable and got the job done well. If you need hair forcibly removed from any part of your body, you should make a lil trip to Georgetown. It's a great neighborhood with lots of stuff to do. Oh, that reminds me.... Wow. I mean WOW. One of the best experiences I've ever had. I went in for my first Brazilian yesterday, and naturally I was a bit nervous. I was welcomed in at the reception with a friendly smile and a cheery hello. I think some of the reviewers already mentioned the cute little towels in the bathroom for drying your hands, so I won't go on about that. I LOVE everything goth, so naturally I fell love with the decor of the place as soon as I walked in. It is amazing: clean, simple, and classy. Amy is a great conversationalist, and performed all the procedures with great care. She patiently told me about aftercare. I also love how they use natural and environmental-friendly products such as witch hazel and essential oils. I know where I will be going when I need waxing done :D read more

This tiny little spa tucked behind Calamity Jane's is AWESOME! I decided to check this place out because they have a killer Happy Hour, and I'm a sucker for HH wax specials. Wax Sabbath does Happy Hour every Wednesday and Sunday from 10am - 3pm! Appointments are HIGHLY recommended! I made an appointment to come in on a Sunday afternoon. It was hot outside, and with all the construction going on in Georgetown, shaded parking was a bit challenging. I had my puppy pants with me, and I didn't want to leave her in my car in the scorching heat, so I brought her in with me - not quite sure whether or not it would be kosher. I walked into the joint with dog in tow. A woman walked out of a little room to tell me she was running a one woman show and that she was running a few minutes behind. I asked if having my furry four-legged friend would be a problem and she said, "No problem - in fact, the owner's got 3 dogs of her own and they run around this place all the time". And, we were her last appointment for the day, so she let my dog roam freely throughout the place. Thank God! When it came time for me, the woman took her time and was very meticulous about my wax job. I think she did a great job! And, we had such lively conversations about triathlons, the STP ride and kickball that time flew by so quickly! The space is clean and beautifully decorated. I love that they use eco-friendly products to help lessen their impact on the Earth and lessen the amount of toxins we surround ourselves with! Have been here twice now after the lady I had seen for 5 years retired from waxing. My 2 experiences could not have been more different. For my first sugaring experience, I saw Hilary. She was AMAZING. Was impressed how much less sugaring hurt compared to the brazilians I am used to. She kept up the conversation throughout the appointment and was cheerful and friendly, which makes the time pass quickly. For my maintenance appointment, I saw CJ. She did not speak during our appointment unless I asked her a direct question. Is that my job? Awkward much? My appointment was done in 10 minutes and seemed to hurt way more than the first time. While I am all for quickness, I can now see there are many stray hairs she left behind. She also left sticky sugar all over me and basically handed me 2 towels to clean off the mess. I went to wax Sabbath the first time to use a living social coupon I'd purchased in an effort to decrease some of my salon expenses - and I'm so glad I did! I discovered a gem! I've now visited this lovely and relaxing spa 3 times and have always been extremely happy with my care and service. All times have been for waxing although I know they do facials as well. One thing that really sticks out about this group of professionals is their graciousness and their willingness to accommodate. Additionally, Jenna does a fabulous brow wax. I dig this place. A lot. I'll even fight nasty Georgetown traffic to get here. Recently I got a Brazilian by Amy, which means now I've gotten waxed by each of the three ladies that work there. Each lady does an awesome job, but Amy is my favorite. Great conversationalist and waxes with minimal pain (it's a Brazilian so it's got to be painful on some level, right?). She's a perfectionist so there was more tweezing involved then I'm used to, but I didn't mind it. I actually prefer tweezing to waxing, less painful for me. I showed up 20 minutes past my appointment time, due to the construction and my unfamiliarity with the area (actually ended up accidentally getting back on the freeway! ugh!). Amy patiently waited until I got there and even though I was her last appointment and she was probably dying to get off of work, she was sweet as can be and reassured me that my coming in late was not an issue. What incredible customer service! And one of the first things she said to me was a compliment on my eyebrows. An eyebrow compliment? Why, thank you! It's very clean, the space is relaxing, and the rooms are large, so you don't feel like you're getting waxed in a broom closet. And the service is incredible. My waxer extraordinaire did a great job, even though I hadn't even waited long enough since the last time I'd shaved. From the reception (vanilla vodka and tequila to steel your nerves anyone??) to the slow, careful, attentive procedure, and the little cloth napkins in the bathroom that you drop in the wire bin to be washed and reused... just so great! She took a long time doing them so when she handed me the mirror I thought I would have no eyebrows left, but she actually had been perfecting them that whole time and they are seriously the best-looking eyebrows I have ever had. I recently moved and was dreading looking for another place to get a Brazillian wax because the gal I used to go to was referred to me by a friend that I really liked. I turned to Yelp and Wax Sabbath was the closest one to me with nothing but great reviews so it definitely built my confidence to check them out. It's a total hole in the wall in an alley way. Upon entry, the lady nicely greeted me. I filled out some papers and she walked me over to the room where I'd get waxed. I was not too thrilled with the curtains there, I wish they were more enclosed like taped to the wall or something, but no worries, no one from outside can see you. I wish the setting was more warm and welcoming. The music that was playing was rockish, I'd prefer a more relaxing, spa like music/sound. What I really liked though was that when you undress she leaves a little cloth for you to "cover up" if you want. She was very nice and made the process not soo nerve racking. I especially like that she left a warm wet towel for me to wipe excess wax afterwards which was nice because my previous place did not offer that.
