Back in my home town I got a Brazilian sugar all the time and so I found this place thought it would be good.. well I was wrong the day after my appointment I was so sore and so red!! So I took a shower and used coconut oil with sugar it helped but still hurt, the next day I'm peel as if I got a sunburn down there! I asked my auntie back in my hometown if that was normal because she is a skin aesthetician and she said no that's skin tears! I will NEVER go back there!! read more

Every time I come in to see Amy for a tidy-up I always leave feeling really up, just happy and sexy and buzzing on good energy. I am sure some small part of that is from endorphin kick-in from waxing, but that vast majority of that awesome feeling is just knowing I'm in good hands with Amy and having a freaking BLAST talking with her. Seriously, I cannot say enough good things, all of our conversations always provide either really good food for thought or leave me in tears from laughing. I had been somewhat lack in getting in due to thinking I'd be okay to shave once, but owieeee ingrowns from shaving! Again, even for ingrown and breakout-prone skin, the stuff they use (and the body butter!) is absolutely amazing for getting your skin and freshly waxed bits in great shape. I love this place. I've been going here for ~4 years to see Tiffany, who is just amazing. She does my brows perfectly every time -- and I'm really, really fussy about them. She's super friendly and every time I leave the salon I feel energized and comfortable in my body since she is so nonjudgmental. She's also totally brilliant and I love chatting with her -- my whole appointment is actually really fun -- not what I used to expect for a waxing/sugaring appointment! Everything is clean and they have done a great job with COVID safety protocols, and I've never had an issue with breakouts/ingrowns here (not like at the cheap & dirty salon I used to go to). This was my first experience getting a Brazilian wax, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Angela did a wonderful job and it was quick and painless (Haha, it was a little painful, but it was definitely temporary pain). This place was a little bit hard to find and there's not much in the area, but I bought a Yelp deal, so I will be back to get another wax! I REALLY want to like this place. I've been there at least a half dozen times. It's close to my house, the estheticians are so friendly, they have Happy Hour, etc. But whenever I leave I'm never completely satisfied. I always have to clean up my brows with tweezers once I get home. I still have to shave my bikini & legs due to all the broken hairs from waxing. The whole point of being waxed is so I don't have to shave. But this last time took the cake. I just thought the skin under my brows was really red this time, but skin was ripped off! I'm going on vacation in two days. I have been putting Neosporin on my brows desperately hoping they don't scar. I doubt they will be healed in 2 days, so all our pictures will highlight the botched job. Well, I guess I get what I pay for. I will not retun. read more

Arrived for my appointment and was greeted and instantly shown into a room after filling out paperwork. The woman who performed my service was clean and quick. We enjoyed some casual chit chat. I had a weekend day open up at the last minute (REALLY rare for me, especially in the winter!), so I made a call, figuring there was no way they'd have time for all the things that needed to be done, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Jenna got me in for a marathon session in the afternoon and happily accommodated me, even though I'd lapsed on all my waxing and needed full-on, waaaayyyyy past maintenance waxing of everything from the waist down. For Brazilian first-timers, they offer whiskey as you check out. The location is a bit out of the way, but if you are passing Sodo, it is convenient. I've been here before, but forgot to write a review. But I definitely came back to Wax Sabbath Spa for good reasons! I love their services and their employees. I can't remember who I had the last time, but this time I had Carly. She was fairly new but while prepping for my wax, I got to know her and she's been waxing for a very long time. She also had experience waxing many pregnant women so it made me even happier and more comfortable that she had experience with that. The location is a little hidden, but they do have a sign on the sidewalk directing you to their business. The prices are very reasonable, especially during their happy hour. If you go to their website, it will list all of their prices for happy hour. I usually go to their happy hour session on weekdays because it is always available and fits my schedule better. The staff are remarkable! They are so nice and welcoming. When I walked in, it was a calming feeling. The rooms play different music in each room I believe. Maybe it depends on what the esthetician likes to listen to. Last time, the esthetician was playing maybe some "goth" type of music, but this time, we were listening to a more familiar genre. Music makes a big difference as for comfort! I guess I'll cut to the chase about my waxing experience though. I went in for a brazilian and it happened so fast! I'm not sure if it was because we had good conversation or because she was just a great estetician. Of course during the process, it hurt here and there depending on what area she was working on, but otherwise, this has been another pleasant experience. I've been coming to Wax Sabbath for almost 10 years as a recommendation from a friend and have continued to pass on the recommendation to others. Jenna, Abby and Tiffany are all amazing! I've been seeing Tiffany for the last few years for Brazillian sugaring. Our conversations always have me laughing so I never dread my appointments. Except for when I was 9 months pregnant but even then, the staff is well aware of the skin sensitivities and position restrictions during pregnancy and help to make you as comfortable as possible. The facilities are always clean and I felt safe with all their safety precautions during the height of the pandemic. Take advantage of their happy hour offerings when possible and their punch card with 10th free service is awesome. Finding a place you feel comfortable and can trust for your Brazilians is almost as hard as finding a good OBGYN and Wax Sabbath is the place to go! Highly recommend. read more

This place is awesome. why: 1) Quick and (seemingly) painless. Ok girls, you know there's pain involved but they do make you feel comfortable. 2) service. I was in a bind. I didn't want to get it done someplace else again and they made space for me. I tipped extra but then (this was sunday) they gave me Happy Hour price on Sunday when they didn't need to. XOXOXO 3) I dunno, although it's a booger finding parking, I LOVE that fun area. You still got creepies wandering around there but I love the shops there. Her shop is awesome too. I like the decor and how clean it is. 4) product. Ok I am sensitive to products. I recently used some shaving cream that didn't go well and I had a rash. I've been sugared at another place in WA back in 2013 and I never wanted to get sugared again and I couldn't finish. Then I tried in 2015 in HI and again couldn't finish. After getting reviews from a lot of friends, I came here. Yes of course, hurt. But it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be and I didn't leave in pain like my past two experiences. This place is super professional, friendly and clean. I live in Fife and it's well worth the drive. They even have happy hour pricing. Wild. Also I love abby! After looking for the past year for a Seattle waxer I loved as much as my beloved Pink Light Beauty of Oakland, I think I found it! Wax Sabbath is great- they use ecological products and practices, and it's a warm, body positive place with great prices. I've been to some salons that felt pretty normy, in terms of not being fat friendly, being weirded out by hairiness, being weirded out by the fact that I use a cane or feeling really hetero and cis. Wax Sabbath is none of these things- they felt really cool and welcoming to me as a queer, non-skinny person. Abby was awesome,we laughed a lot and she gave me a great extended bikini wax that was thorough, relatively painless and done in 20 minutes. I visited Wax Sabbath for the second time yesterday before my trip, and unfortunately had a negative experience with a sloppy Happy Hour Brazilian wax from CJ. I don't get waxed often, so CJ had a lot of hair to work with... when she asked whether I wanted it all off, I responded "YES PLEASE", which should have been clear enough. The wax itself was uneventful and took a quick 20min to complete. As I was tidying up to leave, however, I noticed little pieces of wax stuck all over in places you definitely don't want wax residue in. I gave her the benefit of the doubt; maybe she was in a rush, I was 10 min late to the appt after all. After showering when I got home, however, I noticed again something out of place. There were multiple, large clumps of hair remaining all around the Brazilian area, which is definitely not acceptable for the price and the pain. CJ, not sure if you were having a rough Monday, but please don't take it out on the customer. I will not be returning. read more

It pains me to write a review because I have a hard enough time making an appointment for the happy hour price. But they are hands down, the best Brazilian wax I've ever gotten. The service is terrific. It's comfortable. Parking is easy. Even though I've moved out of state, I still get my wax done here when I'm in town. Everywhere else I've gone isn't as meticulous. Trust me. I've been getting this procedure done for several years. Other places leave spots and I get in grown hairs. Never do I have this problem here....and yes, it hurts like a mother%$#@!* but its still worth it. read more

I'm sad to report that my Brazilian sugaring did not go well. It was way more painful than any other place I have gone. The women was sweet but she did way too much surface area at once and was very forceful (to be faster I guess?). I have raw skin patches now from my skin being ripped off..... I am sore to the touch all over. To end it off they put hemp oil on (which is fine) but she got some on my shirt which has ruined it. The experience level was just not there and I will not be returning. read more

Jenna was amazing and very sweet. I've only been waxed twice both here and both from Jenna, she was very calm, even when I almost caught her in the head the first time. She helped keep me talking the first time and I chattered the second time to distract myself and she was nice enough to keep the conversation going with me. I always try to request her now just because I know she knows what she's doing and what to expect every time. Apart from the service, the atmosphere is really calm, which is definitely needed. I had my first "wax" yesterday, I had been quit nervous about the whole ordeal. I decided to take a friend with me so we could use the 2 for 1 YELP deal I purchased back in June. She was also a newbie. We drove from downtown Seattle all the way to Georgetown for this little adventure. I was glad we knew the area. It is a little hidden around the corner from a couple bars. When we walked in the place was very cozy and warm. There was no one in sight as a "session" was taking place so we plopped down on the comfy red chairs and started to relax. The decor of the place is very simple and puts you at ease. I went into the room for this event and while it did hurt at certain times it was not as bad as I thought it would be. She talked to me throughout the process telling me what she was doing, when to breath etc and made the whole process pretty easy. They have some great happy hour specials and some great deals for those who make it back in within the 6 week grow out period. We booked out next happy hour appointment and we WILL be going back! I wish this was a little closer to my home or work but the little extra drive was definitely worth it. They now have a loyal new customer who will gladly travel. read more

I've seen Jenna and Kyra and they are both wonderful at sugaring and super sweet. Street Parking can get tricky since its such a busy street and lots of other restaurants/coffee shops in the vicinity, so try and get there a few minutes to find a spot!
