I made an appointment with Kat, she was kind enough to get me an appointment for Sat May 3,2025 @5pm. I was really excited considering I had not done my brows in almost 6 months. Having a baby and working the weekends it's extremely hard so I was very grateful I found a place and Sugar waxing was different for me I thought I'd give it a try. I had my appointment with Kiana, she greeted me offered me a flass of wine and we proceeded to the waxing table. I didnt feel pain at first but halfway through the session i heard Kiana say "Oh Shit", i was reslly nervous what she did to me and my left eyelid was on fire I i asked her to please take a break. Another customer showed up and she told the customer 5 min as if she was rushing. She showed me my eyebrows and saw she had yanked, pulled off a bunch of my eyebrows that werent supposed to be removed. I even asked her for an "S Shape" and later continued to tell me to come back Morgan was a specialist in eyebrows. This is so effed up when i made the appointment i specifically told them i wanted an eyebrow wax and i had a lot of work and trusted them. I am in pain still, my skin is irritated and extremely burned and ended up having a black eye of how rough Kiana was with my brow. I got asked at work if i was assaulted it was embarrassing. The owner Vanessa got back to me 3 hrs later, it seemed to me they were more worried about a negative review than the customer. Also Kiana has left unsatisfied customers. I will put captions on the pictures how it looked like throughout the day and reviews of different customer and texts i received. This was the most painful experience I've ever experienced when it comes to eyebrow removal. Next time I am just sticking with eyebrow wax. I gave it a try, it's definitely not for me and again more painful than thread, or wax. To each their own but had a terrible experience and wish them well. I do hope the owner obviously sees that many customers have been dissappinted by Kiaras service. My advice look into this place before you go there. My experience was awful and very painful and ended up with burned, damaged skin, and a black eye. read more

I wanted to get sugaring done, since it's been years since I have done this method, and I, of course, let Yelp tell me where to go. Darling Sugar popped up as #1 so I checked out their business and reviews right away. It sounded promising so I browsed their website and that's what sold me. They sounded so inclusive with a focus of reassurance and comfortability. I appreciated their employee bios, the FAQ section and how easy their website was to navigate booking online. Their spot seems to be in a house that is sub-rented by other businesses so note that it is street parking and their entrance is on the side. I walked in and it was the cutest salon! Very clean, cute decor, and just so cozy! What I felt from reading through their website was exactly what it felt to be a customer at this business! I had an appointment with Sartu and she was nothing but amazing! She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and was very friendly! She was gentle when my body was stubborn but still made sure the job was done. Pain wise, wayyy less than a rubber band snap! I don't know how she does it but she is amazing! After years of threading and self maintenance, I decided to branch out and try something new for my brows. I've been coming to Darling Sugar since last year and have loved working with Ayla for my brows. Mine tend to become uneven for whatever reason but she can right them back each time. She's also super friendly and makes the ~20 mins or so go by fast. I've also worked with Marissa who is sweet as well. As for the actual process, sugaring feels pretty painless to me. I've suffered bad threading experiences (someone accidentally pulling out my nose stud with their threads, or missing skin chunks) but no such pain here. Haven't sugared any personal bits before so can't speak to that, but hoping to work up the courage some time! If you're free during the weekdays, I'd recommend booking an appointment during their happy hour for discounted prices. Darling sugaring is an excellent little salon, super clean and cute, very welcoming. I've only ever had hard and soft waxing done for my Brazilian, but was intrigued by sugaring as it's supposed to be less harsh on your skin, and less painful and it is! Julia is super sweet and personable, really effiecent and quick! Brazilians can be an awkward situation, but with the right esthetician it can actually be a fun experience. Every body is different, but after years of waxing, I found this sugaring experience to be the least painful I've ever had. Thank you Julia! I had never been sugared until I came here! I had been getting regular Brazilians and underarm waxes for a little over a year, and found out about sugaring when I was looking for a place to get waxed in West Seattle. I found Darling Sugar and thought I would give it a try. Not only is it less painful, the sugar mixture is cool and much more efficient than waxing. Not to mention it takes about half the time to get sugared than it does to get waxed. Also, sugaring goes with the gain of the hair instead of against it, so ingrown hairs are pretty much non existent. It is always a bit nerve wracking getting completely bare down there with a new waxer/sugarer, but Kassandra is awesome and very professional. I have gone to Darling Sugar twice now, and I would recommend it whether you're used to waxing or not. This place is great! read more

Marissa was the first person I was put into contact with when asking about their services. I remember being really worried about trying something new, as I only ever did threading and never tried bikini. She put me at ease right away at our first appointment; she has such an easy-going/caring personality. Can I also just say WOW it's been so much less pain than I thought, and it is SO nice to have one place to take care of everything hair-related. The first time kinda hurts, but if you maintain it, it's nothing to flinch about. I used to dread threading appointments, but I feel super chill going into these ones because they honestly are relaxing appointments. Also, the shop is located downstairs from a hair salon and is super cute. It's well designed, they're super proactive about keeping things super clean, and it's a comfy vibe. I get worried now that one day I won't have Marissa in my life lol, but I love seeing her and am so glad to have found her. She also has a really good eye for what looks right, and I've never once not loved what she does with my eyebrows. I scheduled my first Brazilian with Marissa. This was my first time getting a Brazilian and it was not as bad as I thought. I have now seen Marissa three times and she is very professional and makes you feel very comfortable. She walks you through what she is doing and the sugar they use smells so lovely. Parking can be difficult at times if they are very busy. When you walk in the first level of the home is a salon and Darling Sugar is downstairs. They have a cute and comfortable waiting room. The most painful waxing I've ever had in my life and being from Brazil, so I had plenty of "Brazilian wax" before, so I know the deal. Unfortunately the place is not clean, I was actually really disgusted by the space and the place I had to lay for the waxing. They don't put a towel for you, you actually lay over a very hard and uncomfortable paper. Also, I don't think I needed so much powder on me, they literally put a cup of powder all over me. Which was messy and didn't feel good at all. Cassandra was nice but her waxing was really painful, I don't know why. They're in a new location, so they're able to take more appointment than they were able to before. Same fast, painless, and wonderful service as before. Although this is sugaring and not quite the same as waxing, I know women often have the fear of waxers "double dipping" and other ickies. She asked if I had to go to bathroom first and you show me where to go and give you privacy when I need to change and had a towel place for me before she came back into the room. I've been coming to Darling Sugar and having Brazilians done by Emilie for the last year and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. Emilie is extremely professional and personable, not to mention she has gone above and beyond by providing me product recommendations, at home care suggestions, and she even made a point to text me on my birthday :) As someone who had been sugared/waxed in the past, I knew what I was in for. However, my experience at Darling Sugar has been much less painful than some of my other experiences. I came here for my first sugar ever. I was going on a tropical vacation, so I didn't want to worry about any hair while I wear my bathing suit. I had Ayla, and she was AMAZING. I told her how I was a bit nervous about getting a Brazilian, and she was very calm and chill about it. Surprisingly, I did not feel much pain at all. She told me that for a first timer, I did not twitch, cry, curse, scream haha. Ayla is very sociable, and able to make a what-could-be awkward situation super relaxing. I liked that we did talk throughout the duration of the hair removal, because it got my mind off of it. She also did my underarms, which were surprisingly more painful that the Brazilian! I came to see her this Friday before Halloween weekend and my upcoming vacation. She first explain to me how sugaring works and demoed it on a back of my hand. I picked up and up package that includes full leg and extended bikini ($113 for the package). It is absolutely worth it! I developed an allergy to something in salon wax and couldn't find a consistently reliable threading salon, so I gave sugaring a try. I only wish I hadn't waited so long! If you have sensitive skin, I cannot recommend this enough, as it has no extra ingredients, just lemon, sugar, and water. It was my first time getting a Brazilian, and Vanessa definitely made me feel at ease! Can't even lie it was painful of course, but it was bearable. And we took a short little break in between for me to catch up on my breath (LOL).
