I booked a maintenance wax here as a new customer to the area, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. As someone who always keeps up with regular waxing, I barely had any hair -- yet this studio refused to honor the maintenance rate and instead charged me the full "first-time" price. In all my years, I've never been to a studio that penalizes new customers with an arbitrary fee for a maintenance wax. It seems like a poor way to encourage repeat business. To make matters worse, this wasn't communicated until right before my appointment began. The owner did not reach out ahead of time to clarify the policy (which I clearly misunderstood from the website), but instead waited until I was about to get on the table. At that point I had no real choice but to proceed and pay more than expected. I left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. For anyone in Seattle who is already on a maintenance schedule and looking for a new waxing studio, be aware: you'll be charged extra here just for being a new customer. There are plenty of other studios that will respect your maintenance routine without tacking on unnecessary costs. read more

I wanted to give the owner, Bee, a review, not based on her services but on her character. I happened to hit some nails in the road and fall off an electric scooter in front of her business. She came right out to help me and see if I was ok. She saw my head was bleeding and grabbed one of her white towels and put some ice cubes in it for my head. While I waited for emergency services, she brought me a chair to sit in and stood with me after while I waited for my boyfriend to get his car. She was so sweet and kind and compassionate and this shows what kind of person she is! I will definitely be using her services after I heal from this crash! This was my first ever waxing, a Brazilian, so I was very nervous going into my appointment - but I needn't have been. The owner, Bee, went above and beyond to make sure I was in and out with minimal passes and minimal pain. She was speaking to me very strategically lol to keep me occupied during the worst bits, and was very warm and pleasant to be around (and I'm a shy, anxious, introverted person - but Bee Waxing felt comfortable and familiar to me right away). This is such a great place for waxing services! Bee is a joy to talk to. She makes you feel comfortable and makes the experience of waxing as pain free as it can really get. It's hard to find estheticians you feel comfortable around, but she is really great. She is a fun conversationalist and does what you ask. I have been to other waxing places where they push sales on you or make you feel like you waited too long for a wax or don't take care of yourself, but this is not her. This place is by the water in SLU, so very convenient if you work in the area. It's owned and operated by women of color, which I really appreciate and think it's important to support. There is tons of parking and her place is on the ground level, so it's very accessible. They just opened two weeks ago and are running some great specials. Definitely check them out! read more

She is the sweetest human and I always look forward to coming in so we can catch up during my (very quick) appointment window. She is super fast, gives me tidbits on preventing ingrown hairs, and makes a Brazilian *almost* painless. I highly recommend Bee and will definitely be a long term customer. I'm so happy to have found B! The best leg and Brazilian wax I've ever had. I plan to start seeing her regularly I'm that happy with the results. Her suite has lots of parking, is easy to find, super cute and very clean. She was able to take me early and even added a service on. Awesome customer service. Not only is she meticulous, she's skilled so it hardly hurts (which is saying a lot for a Brazailian) and she's fast! I felt like she really knew what she was doing in terms of the angle she approached everything so it resulted in her not ever having to repeat an area (which I've had at other places, ouch). I felt totally comfortable chatting with her and it made the time go by quickly. No pressure to buy extras after, which I appreciated but she does have various exfoliating products etc. if you need it. See you in 4-6 weeks for a maintenance (it's less expensive if you keep it up too, bonus!). Also she wore a mask, which I felt was thoughtful. read more
