I have never posted a review and felt like I needed to post a review. But after yesterday and the way I was treated by the owner I feel that this truly needs to be known.. Everybody has there own experiences and it just takes one negative experience to change the outlook of a buisness . I had left my clothes in the dryer overnight because my clothes were not dried and I did inform the worker that night of me doing this. The worker told me that they did not like doing this but seem to understand that I would be back the next day to pick it up. When I did return to pick it up the next buisness day in the late afternoon my clothes were not in the dryer. I went to ask the owner about My clothes to see if they may have picked them up. THEN THE OWNER STARTED to say that they are not responsible for my clothes and they did not want me to leave my clothes there overnight. I was very surprised on how the owner treated me. First of all I never blamed her for my clothes. I was just asking.. She then precedes to tell me thst I leave my clothes there all the time. I corrected her and told her that I have done so in the past but it was not all the time. I told her thst the last time I did this my clothes were put in lost and found . She told me that they did not put it in lost and found and that my clothes was in dryer in the morning then sometime in the afternoon my clothes were no longer in thr dryer. I proceeded to look in the dryers thinking that maybe my clothes were thrown in another dryer with someone else's clothes . I started to look to the right of washtopia where the larger dryers were . The owner yells at me telling me that I could not look in there because that was not for self serve customers . I understood and asked if I could look in the dryers in the back of washtopia and she stated that I could. About 5 minutes into looking the owner tells me I need to leave. I asked her why because I was not causing any problems. Then she proceeds to tell me because I was looking into other people stuff. I told her I woukd stop but reminded her she told me I could look. And I did speak with the other people there telling them I was trying to find my clothes. Even though I stopped she told me if I did not leave she was going to call the cops. I asked her if she can please at least look in lost and found because this is where my Belongings were found before . She refused to look for me and called the cops. I stayed that way I coukd tell the cops that I did nothing wrong and I was asking for help in finding my clothes. It was odd at one point because the owner did seem do know that I had scrubs and she made a couple of statements about my belongings. She filed a criminal trespassing charge on me. I was really in awe that I was treated like thjs. I never once accused them or even said they were responsible for loosing my belongings. I was upset because they were very uncompassiinate and rude. I lost all my clothes for work and more. Thjs is bad enough. I didn't need to be treated like a criminal just because I was trying to get help finding my stuff. I AM A PRIFESSIONAL AND THIS was the worst experience I ever had. I told the policemen that they shoukd pull up the surveillance because this was not criminal trespassing. The owner was being very ugly even though I made it clear I am not blaming them for losing my stuff. read more

Sadly this place is seriously way out of line with not wearing masks. Even the employees aren't wearing masks. The previous post states that there's distance but there's seriously not when people are all gathered around the same places standing around completely totally maskless, super comforting when we're watching our cases spike. I used to really dig this place a ton, but the responses to people's concerns has turned me off. I'm out, y'all. Edit: Respectfully Laura, the entire place is pretty much not wearing masks. I should know. I'm in there right now. The workers aren't even doing the whole "hang the mask below their neck", just nothing at all. If there's such an at risk for breathing in a fully air conditioned place, maybe they shouldn't be there at this moment. It's just a bit unusual that the HEBs surrounding the place have no problem doing so when they've got waaay more space but yet it's a gigantic issue. Sadly, I'm looking for just a safe place to wash my comforter while supporting a local business I have since I moved here 5 years ago. I guess I'll find another. Final edit: I would have had a conversation, but judging on the previous responses to concerns and the fact that nobody was wearing a mask, I'd have preferred to not have a conversation over something that wasn't going to change and someone who wasn't taking rising cases seriously. It was to the point I had to wait for my laundry in my car, because the workers and people were conversing within inches of each other, both not wearing masks in high volume areas of the laundromat. I had to politely ask the worker and customers to move so I could get my stuff and go. Social distancing was absolutely not being enforced, nor were there any safe guards in place so I felt no need to risk my health to talk to thin air. This feels like the kind of thing that'll lead back to shutdowns very quickly, and feels unfair to other businesses who have made great strides to operate safely, while this one throws everything out the window. Non final edit: Sure! Id absolutely love to see the camera footage and see someone who is absolutely not me. Please send it. I'll include the phone calls and receipts from the donut shop I went to at the exact same time I was supposedly in there. Look for the long haired guy with the monster mask because I absolutely assure you I didn't sit down there at any point. The snarky remarks don't really work out here. I went outside and sat on the side edge until another customer sat next to me maskless and I then went to my car. I came back in, moved my laundry, got the remaining balance and waited again, upon which time I returned, grabbed my laundry and immediately left, saying goodbye to the 1 person folding clothes in front of the counter. I've reached out and left a message to obtain that camera footage and look forward to your updated review when you've obviously chosen the exact person. I'll even make it easy and give you a time stamp of around 11:30ish-12:40ish. I'll make it even easier and have included a picture of the mask I was wearing that day! I hope you find what you're looking for! Again, please admit your wrongs. It's a pretty big accusation to call me a liar and I'd have taken it on the chin if I was wrong. The fact that I wasn't and was confident in it with zero apologies for attacking my credibility is ridiculous. I look forward to the camera footage and if I'm on there sitting down I'll take the review down. I've got a weird feeling your initial attack wouldn't come down if I was found to be there. You have my voicemail if you'd like to discuss it further. You absolutely are. You asked me if I wanted the footage. I would like that footage. I have these large comforters that I can't wash at home so off to a laundromat I must go. I have passed by here many times and have often told myself that I need to check this place out next time my comforters need washed. I'm impressed with this place. It is clean and well maintained by the on duty attendant. It is also coinless. Get your money card at one of the two VTM machines over by the vending. I stopped in today. It wasn't that busy and there was some nice eye candy doing their laundry. That is always a plus. I enjoy eye raping nice eye candy. Especially if I don't get caught. It makes the wait go by faster. This place has six top loaders,30+ side loaders and 42 dryers! Dango!! Clean and spaciouswith two huge ceiling fans keeping it circulated. The vending machines have snacks and laundry needs offering both liquid and powder. The WiFi is free, coffee is complimentary, there are two large screen tvs and a kids corner with a chalk board and a thingamabob. You can drop your stuff off and they will wash and dry for you, or you can throw your stuff in the washer and leave. They will dry, fold, and store it for you! WiFi code is Cleanandcool. read more

I've been to a couple of laundromats in the austin,m and Pflugerville area but I have never ran into an attendant who is as pleasurable as her. Ok, so, I'm brand new to Austin and I'm adjusting to apartment living as I've only known living in a house (and dealing with HOAs). My apartment is great and has a laundromat, but because this would be my first time ever using a community washer/dryer place, I figured, why not make it a special experience??! Yes, I'm dramatic at times- lol. So, I jumped on Yelp to find a cool laundromat... thank you my fellow Yelpers, you didn't disappoint! This place is so cool. First of all, I was greeted upon entry by the operator of the place, John, and was given a personal tour of the facility and shown how to purchase and load a laundry card, purchase supplies, etc. (which was helpful because I'm super green when it comes to this). The facility is clean, quiet and full of plenty of machines of all sizes. They have laundry detergent vending machines (which made me giggle inside), snack vending machines, tvs for your viewing pleasure, seating areas next to massive windows which provide great natural light to the place; tables for which to fold your clothes on once you've washed and dried them, and other stuff (but I'm sure y'all are aware of the roll-y baskets that you can take out to your car to load your clothes in- fun!). I'm a pretty sociable person, so striking up convos with other patrons was loads of fun as well, and everyone was pretty cool and down to earth... "'Loads' of fun..." I will definitely be back to this place for my future laundry needs, even after purchasing my washer/dryer set for my new place. Why wash alone when you can wash together?? I'll start by saying my my only gripe is with this attendant. I've met two female attendants that are very polite and helpful. I've been going to this laundromat for about two years now (crazy it's been that long) over the last two years I've witnessed various incidents with the male attendee. He shouts at or about customers. He's constantly swearing about something and often it's about his work. I don't write reviews normally because I understand a bad review can really screw with an employee for no reason. But I had to say something today because this guy was really jsut out there. I had a shower liner I had washed in the location. Not something I would normally do but they're redoing things in my apartment so I couldn't wash it at home this time. It was dripping albeit annoying it wasn't going to sit there for very long before I cleaned up the mess myself. He came around with his kid in tow and started shouting about how he has to clean up grown ass adult messes. He threw the cart around and almost threw away the liner but came back with it. I didn't address it was mine because it was clear he wanted conflict. Even though there was no escalation on my end he continues to talk about it loudly with customers. The customers nearest to me all were making concerned eye contact. Shortly after starts taking his frustration out on his kid and yelling at him about stuff. I waited for my clothes to finish drying and packed the liner in my basket. He looked over with his pal and said "now I know who it is." As a woman already I don't enjoy going to laundromats and having an aggressive male presence stresses me out. I left a review on google too tho less wordy. I feel it's important folks know he's aggressive and likely going to escalate from here. (Update they responded in the google review saying it's one of the owners. Overly crowded. Employees are very rude & not friendly at all. One time my clothes came out of a washer smelling like dirty feet, causing me to have to re-wash in another washer. When I asked for a refund of the 1st wash since their washer was not clean, I was given attitude. The employees sit around and smoke cigarettes outside for the majority of their shift. Since they provide a service where you can drop your clothes off to be washed and dried for you, they hog about 1/3 of the washers & dryers and allow clothes to sit in them (while others have to wait for a dryer to open up). Not efficient whatsoever. Do. Not. Come. Here. @owner's reply: it's not about "suit"ing my needs. It's about maybe your employees need to learn professionalism. I went here several times while I was living in an apartment (I drove across town to avoid other laundromats). I like the atmosphere. It's clean, it's not cramped, there are places to sit, there's tv if you want to watch it and there are attendants there to help. I liked the card idea (no quarters) but I don't like that there's no way to check the balance. I still have a card in my wallet and haven't used it for a year . This places is crazy awesome to do laundry. But, "shhhh, don't tell!" All sized washers and dryers from 1 load to like, 10? You can easily fit an adult inside the largest machine. Their prices are affordable and you easily place credit on a wash card that is reusable and worth the $2 deposit they require. The place is always staffed, always cleaned and generally, about empty to moderately busy. Bathroom is available and clean. Snack machines are nicely stocked and you can also buy laundry supplies from vending. The place is clean and spacious overall, equipped with flat screens and free WIFI. And lastly, they serve free gourmet coffee that is delicious and worth stopping in for, even if you don't need to do laundry. The best part is the free coffee. Any cons? Well, there are often moms with kids here. But if u get up nice and early and arrive at opening, it's blissful laundry time. And finally, I can finish my laundry in less than an hour. I always leave wishing I had been able to spend more time there, which always had me coming back for more laundry next week. Hope this yelps! read more

I have been using this laundromat for almost 3 years now. The staff is very helpful and friendly. When my mom, who is almost 70, heard I was going to the laundromat dramatic by myself she freaked. Then she came here with me and saw why I wasn't worried. It is a safe laundromat respectful of it's clients. Rarely has it been dirty here. The floors and machines are always spotless. They also have drop and dash services by the pond of clothes, and when we use the service, everything looks better than I can make it! I also love their start your laundry and we will switch it for you service. Well worth the extra dollar a load when you don't have time to sit and wait. I have used a few other laundromat in the area, but even being 20 minutes away with closer facilities, I will drive here! read more

I have used washatopia for the last 6 months for both dropping off my clothes and doing them myself. Tonight I went in to pick up clothes and was told they were not ready. Since the basket was sitting there empty I asked where my clothes were? Laura told me they stay in the dryer overnight. I said then they would be wrinkled she said no we refresh them before we get them ready. 45 minutes later she Called me and said I needed to come back tonight and get my clothes. I told her i would be complaining to her boss. She said she was the boss. I will never go back and wouldn't recommend anyone trust them with there clothes. Wow. Just wow. The woman at the counter who identified herself as the owner was beyond rude and if I could give them zero stars just on the principle that everyone deserves respect I would. If you have clothes to wash yourself, go to Friendly Laundry on Pond Springs Road instead. I was there to wash the lost and found laundry from our elementary school before we donate it. I've done this once before and the first time the attendant who was there was super friendly and helpful. We need a receipt showing the exact amount that was spent so she used the store laundry card and ran a tab that she totaled for us at the end to provide a receipt. The owner refused to do this today because they are "too busy" to do this even though it took the last person less than 5 minutes to swipe her card at the washers/dryers and take our payment (we still did all the loading/unloading/folding ourselves). To be clear, she could have politely said no (I am not an unreasonable person with outrageous expectations) but she was flat out disrespectful, demeaning, and rude in her communication and even tried to say that I was never provided with a receipt before. I will never go back there and if you care at all about people being treated with even a sliver of respect, I recommend that you don't either. read more

I've been here and used the machines myself and also frequent here for our comforters. We returned from a ski trip one year with BOAT LOADS of laundry and a broken machine. So, we ventured over here and got all 10 loads done in an hour! Seriously, it kind of made me think, "why don't we always do it this way?" Machines were clean and the place was nice. BUT I more frequently use it to have comforters laundered. We have dogs and they often can get up on the bed and track in mud, etc. I use to pay $40 plus to have them dry cleaned. Now, it's a quick drop off and $16 and pick it up clean. SO EASY! read more

Haven't been to a laundromat in YEARS, but after my washer crapped out at the house I had to find one ASAP until the washer gets repaired/replaced. I found this little gem off of Anderson Mill about 5-10 miles from home, so it was relatively convenient. The place is very clean and every attendant I have come in contact with are nice and helpful. Love the size of the washers and the fact that I can wash my king size bedspread with no problem. The reloadable card is very convenient and make everything streamlined. All in all I hope to get my washer back up and running sooner rather than later, but in the meantime I'll be washing here at Washatopia. read more

I have no idea why there is no laundromat in Cedar Park at all. If you need a laundromat regularly or your washer or dryer break, your choices are Washatopia about 2.5 miles away or trek to Leander or eastern Round Rock. My dryer stopped mid-cycle overnight with a load of towels in it. As it will take a few days to get someone out to repair it, I'll be taking these towels and the multiple loads of kids clothes and sheets this week over to Washatopia. The people are friendly. There is also an efficient drop-off/pick-up service for loads that are not mid-cycle if I don't have time to stay. I've had them wash large comforters and quilts with this service even when our home machines are working, and everything's turned out neatly folded and nicely clean. read more

I have tried several wash houses until a friend told me about Wahatopia even though it's not close to my home I will still make the drive just to use the W&D's at this great establishment. And the wonderful employee that's usually there Crystal is always smiling and very helpful if you ever need help. She is also a very friendly person and pretty cool to talk to. The bathroom is very clean, the building is very clean and majority of the time all the machines are error free and working properly. I have never actually had a a bad experience and would recommend this wash house to anyone, especially if you have to do really really big loads. They also have dryers that can handle large loads up to 45lbs. If you don't have time they also offer a great wash and fold service. Please go and check them out and give Washatopia a try you won't regret it. read more

Lots of machines, both washers and dryers. Usually clean, but depends on who is working. Weekly staff is very nice. Weekends not so much. One restroom, sometimes dirty, but again it depends on who is working. Free WiFi, big screen televisions, but no sound or subtitles. Some of the seats are broken and should be fixed. There is a large, deep, dangerous, and camouflaged pothole at the end of the parking lot, back row to the left, along the fence which will swallow your car, so be careful. It needs filled with gravel at least. They have vending machines, both types, supplies and snacks. Many times they are empty. The area appears safe. It used to shine, but lost some of its luster. Needs a bit of refocus. 90% of the staff is extremely friendly. 10% is not. read more

This is by far the cleanest laundry mat I've been to. Actually that means nothing as I don't normally use them. :) However this one is very clean and well managed. The staff was very helpful and nice, and the facility had multiple options for washer sizes and dryers. The attendant did not wear a mask the entire time I was in the laundromat, even when her duties brought her near customers. And there is no longer a sign on the door requiring mask use by patrons. Clean facility and nice machines Some of the staff are odd and seem to be too friendly with some of the even odder characters that frequent the establishment. I wouldn't call them customers because they're usually chain smoking with the staff and not washing or folding. The machines are card operated. You reload a reusable card at the front with staff or self service via machine. The vending machines operate off the same card. There's a children's play area for the little laundry folder helpers in your life. :) Don't miss lugging around laundry in the big city, but my better half and I thought this place was nice at the time for an otherwise annoying part of the week. read more

No one enjoys doing laundry. In fact, I hate it. It's right up there with taking out the trash. But, Washatopia has made temporarily being without a washer/dryer somewhat bearable. Our first visit, my boyfriend and I were immediately greeted by a pleasant girl who began rattling off how the whole system works; she demonstrated how to use the multi-load washers and dryers, the card system, and explained the ever-fancy water softeners they use. I tried to stop her, as we are pretty clear on how washers/dryers work, but she was just so happy to explain it all! The other reviews are relatively spot-on. The seating is a little lacking, especially on weekends, and the prices are a little high. They ARE higher because they are "multi-load", but Washatopia and I have a fundamental disagreement on how many clothes we consider "a load". Overall, I feel like it averages out with the dryers being decently priced. I would rather pay a little more for a place with an attendant (if anything should go wrong), clean facilities, and working machinery. I usually end up spending about $15 to $20 when I go, but we usually have a few loads of laundry to do. I'll admit I did ooh and ahh at the vending machine with laundry stuff in it, and the free coffee and wifi. I am easily impressed. It all makes the experience slightly less annoying. I've always wanted to try the pickup/wash/delivery service, but it's a little steep, and I have a "thing" about someone other than me touching my dirty undies. If I were to complain about one thing, it would be the hours. Last wash is around 8:15 or 8:30, I think. I just wish they stayed open a bit later for those who have late work shifts like me. But the later you're open, the more likely the laundry riff-raff is to come a-knockin', I guess. read more

I'm pretty well pleased with this place. It's not cheap, but the machines are fantastic and the facility is so clean you could almost eat off the floor (but please don't). I have my own washer and dryers but I love to come to this place when I have a ton of loads with little time or oversized items like towels and comforters. There's always a place to sit and thanks to the free Wifi I busted through a few episodes of StarWars Clone Wars series while my comforters were drying. The attendents were pleasant and no one hassled me about my well behaved service dog. Gotta love that they have a virtual atm where you load up credit on your washatopia card, because who uses cash much these days? There is a vending machine if supplies, but bring your own to save some moolah. Large tables so everyone can share. I like to come Sunday evening when it's not very busy. This is the exact opposite of every laundromat I've ever been to. It's well-lit. It's clean. The dryers actually get things dry in a reasonable amount of time. The washers and other equipment are new and modern, mostly. Hell, not only do the drink and snack machines work, they even take from the credit on your card so you don't have to bring extra change AND the snacks are in the chiller so on a hot day, you can get a cold drink and snack and everything's lovely. The only thing I have to complain about is, actually, the sheer number of high-capacity washers. If you're doing massive loads at a time, then this is the perfect place. However, they only have a handful of single-load washers, which are inevitably taken up by that guy running 6 loads all at the same time, so your choice always winds up being pay a lot more to run your small load through one of the big machines or wait until That Guy finishes. Assuming he deigns to hang around of course. And I'm not sure we need exact 3-4-5-6-8 steppings in giant-capacity washers so much as we need single loads so I don't have to pay $5 or wait for That Guy to wash the three purple things I own for some reason. Rude employees and overpriced machines. after removing my laundry from one of the industrial machines I noticed they had an odor of cat urine. My Dryer broke about 4 months ago, so out of desperation I came to Washitopia. The attendants were friendly, the place is clean. My only complaint would be that One attendant in particular has her Boyfriend/ husband in there a lot, and they stay outside smoking and chatting most of the time. I have needed her a few times and ended up solving the problem myself, or relying on a fellow customer. Over all it is pleasant, and until I replace my Dryer I will continue to go there. read more
