This place absolutely sucks if you're an early person who wants to get laundry done. Every Saturday or Sunday that I've come here has been a mess. Being that this is a public laundromat you would think you had access to the machines you came for unless being used by another patron. Not here!! The staff use 99% of washers and dryers and put " OUT OF SERVICE " stickers on the rest while using them. Then when I asked about using the ones that were labeled out of service because I could clearly see they were working, I got told I'll just have to wait. Mind you all of this was said in Spanish because no one speaks English here. Why can't the public use public things and whatever this clothes washing service this place offers be done and finished well before or after hours? 100% disappointed. read more

This is a very busy place doing what looks like large commercial laundry. There are some smaller front loaders. We used one (of four) two load washers. It was $2.50 for that load. They do take credit cards. (It places $12.00 charge to be corrected the next day or so). And a smaller dryer (which is not small) was $1.25 for the initial 25 minutes and then you could add another 5 minutes for each 25 cents additional. Our load was dry for the 30 minutes. I'll update if there is an issue with the credit card charges. We went on a Wednesday so most of the machines were busy with the wash and fold business. But every thing went well; and they mentioned that they have a card you could purchase to use with credit on it to not need to use your credit card like that. We're just in town for a visit so I don't know about that. Most machines were used; with a few not working. read more

We were driving by and noticed they had a 50% off sale on laundry services, so my wife decided to take our very large quilt and get it washed. She spent an hour and a half washing it and chit chatting with the owner, she said he was wonderful. It was a clean and pleasant environment. read more

The sign on this place says that it's a laundromat AND dry cleaner. It used to be a dry cleaner service and it was AWESOME. But they no longer offer dry cleaning services. Worst dry cleaner I've been to! First time I picked my clothes, they gave me another man's shirt. Luckily I noticed it right before driving off. The second attempt my boyfriend didn't receive his favorite polo shirt that I bought him! We noticed on the receipt that they never charged him for it so they didn't have it on file. We came there a day later to see if they still had it, no luck. Not sure how hard it is to do a simple job/task! Save your money and time and do somewhere else! read more

The place was shutdown for a while but recently opened back up and the difference is night and day. The place is all new again, machines all work now, the floor, building, even the bathrooms are consistently clean now. The owner, Adel, is a very nice Egyptian man who lives here in Austin and clearly takes pride in his work. I see him there regularly. They offer full service laundry now to if you'd rather just drop it off. I have been a regular at the Micheal As laundromat on Bluebonnet Rd in south Austin for about 5 years now, I just recently moved to North Austin and the owner mentioned he had expanded to Rush Laundromat. I loved the convenience, location and the cleanliness of Rush Laundromat. All the machines are well kept and the price is very reasonable! Ahmed took care of me , his customer service was outstanding he even texted me to tell me my clothes were ready and had no problem waiting after store hours if need be if I couldn't make it in time , just so amazing . I guess I should have checked the reviews before I brought all my husbands suits here. Took in a tie, white shirt, and 3 suits to get cleaned before his business trip. They charged me upfront which also should have been a clue. There were still stains on the white shirt and tie when we got them home. There was also dog hair on my husbands black suit. This is the second time they ruined my clothes! The workers there are nice EXCEPT the manager. She doesn't know how to be a manager or even work in the customer service industry. This is my second time encountering her and she DOES NOT admit the mistakes, apologize, or try to solve the conflict. Here are my two stories: 1. Wedding Dress Disaster I brought in my wedding dress last September, 2014, to get dry cleaned. I was new to Austin last year and I trusted this place due to the convenient location. I asked them if they could take out the grass stains from the bottom of the dress and they said grass stains are not a problem. When I picked the dress up and checked the bottom, the grass stains were still there. The dress literally looked like it was never dry cleaned, yet they charged me over $30 for it. I had a HUGE fiasco, talking to the manager, the person who does the dry cleaning, and even with the owner. This manager did not apologize but she started to get defensive about it. In the end, she raised her voice and said that all she could do was to send it back to the dry cleaner. I was very upset at the service I received from her that I wasn't willing to let it go. I told her that I wanted to get in touch with the dry cleaning person. The next day, I talked to the person who dry cleaned my dress and he did the same thing that the manager did. He never apologized but he got all defensive and told me that he did his best to clean the dress. I really wanted to write to the Better Business Bureau and possibly go into lawsuit with them. But what changed my mind was the owner. The owner called me soon after and FINALLY apologized and offered a refund. Eventually, I took my dress to a different location and VOILA! That lady was able to clean my dress completely!!! 2. My husband's vintage cowboy shirt got ruined My husband and I decided to give this place another try since we just had a shirt that needed to be dry cleaned. I was hesitant, but I thought to myself, "how can any place ruin a shirt?." My husband owned a vintage looking cowboy shirt from G-Star that was ivory. It had sweat stains around the collar, so I took it in to get it cleaned. When I took it in, they said that they will see if dry clean would be better or if the wash was going to take out the stain. They told us that they will call us before about the decision because the guy who does the dry cleaning was coming in a few hours later. My husband and I never got the call. When I picked it up today, I wasn't able to recognize the shirt, because it was a pure white shirt!!! I don't know what they did, but surely, it didn't look like that when we bought the shirt or even when I brought it in. I was upset but I wanted to talk to the manager so I waited until she came into the store. It was the same manager who mistreated me from last year. She remembered me and she started giving the attitude and the frustrated face AGAIN!!! She never apologized but later told me that I have too high standards and that they will no longer service me. I was so stunned that I didn't know how to respond to her rude comments. This time I will write to the Better Business Bureau and look for a lawyer to look at this case. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I had never been totally happy with this place but I kept going because it was super convenient. Previously I had suits and shirts that came back with missing buttons but they would replace them. Well they were good. I think they change staff. 2 times now I've carried something in it came back with the stain on it that they didn't get out, not really a stain , but just a spot. I have a king size comforter that needed either dry cleaning or laundering and visited Rush to have an expert inform me on which option was better since my new puppy urinated on the comforter. The lady named Diana seemed really confused when I asked for her recommendation and said she would give me a quick ticket and have the actual dry cleaning rep call me. I got a call the next day from a lady named Juanita asking me to come in and pay $30 for the comforter to be sent off. I explained to the lady that I was not in town but would pay when it was ready. She agreed and stated they would be laundering my item but could not guarantee the form would be the same. I agreed and told her that was fine because I wanted the pee smell out. I received another call 3 days later stating I needed to come in and pay if I wanted my comforter to be cleaned. I reminded the lady named Juanita that she had agreed with me three days earlier that I would pay when I picked up the item and she said, "well if that's what I said then ok." The following day I received a final call from Juanita telling me that they've decided they are not comfortable with cleaning my item and it needed to be picked up. After an entire week of being told they would be laundering my comforter, I get a call telling me they changed their mind?! This is completely unacceptable and bad for business. I will not be doing service with this business anymore as they are completely unprofessional and lack communication skills! I called another cleaners today and explained my situation. This place has gone down in quality since it opened last year. - There are too many machines for the size of the place, which causes the layout to be awkward. Many are broken at any given time. - There are not enough places to sit. There are four small rows of seats - two of them crammed together. Also no seating outside. - Moving from the front door to the machines can be a hassle. The lay out means you will be weaving through several people folding or transferring their laundry. - Staff attitude is going down. Previously were kind and welcoming, but have become bored and indifferent. Sometimes no acknowledgment at all. - The other patrons: my biggest pet peeve here is people playing music or sounds from games loudly through their phone's speaker. I have spoken to attendants twice about this and they look at me like I'm crazy. I would appreciate the staff asking other patrons to use headphones since not everyone wants to listen to their music. - Lavender scent: I personally don't like the smell of lavender, but people will use detergents and dryer sheets scented like that. Check the machine before putting your clothes in for the smell. Makes me think they don't clean the machines. Overall you will get your clothes clean but it might be a hassle and annoying. To be fair, some pluses: - Discount when reloading card when you use cash. - No more quarters - the card makes payment easy. read more
