Helpful, happy attendants are available at all hours in this super-clean wash spot. If you don't feel like carrying around dozens of quarters (I don't) you can pay though a handy app or even at the counter with a credit card. The cashless interface does not always work at the walk-up machines, and that can be frustrating, but that's the only critique I can offer. Otherwise, I'd say it's a high-value, low-stress operation for DIY clothes-washing. Their wash-and-fold business seems to have fans, judging from traffic, so I'll keep that option in my back pocket for when I'm flush! read more

this used to be a great laundromat but it was sold to someone new in the past year. things don't get fixed......the restroom has been out of service for 3 months!! so not only do the customers not have a restroom to use while washing and drying their clothes, but the employees don't have a restroom to use! they work 8 hour shifts! the a/c has been broken for at least 3 days and it has been over 100 degrees for a week or more. ridiculous! poor ownership and poor management! read more

Just tried this spot another shot and I decided I'm never coming back. It is extremely expensive. To start the big dryersif is 70 cents for 9 minutes, and 70 cents for every 9 minutes after that. The small dryer are 50 cents for every 9 minutes. I didn't know laundromats were for rich people now. This is a shame because I've been coming here for years. read more

I do not like reporting this, but the new turnover of ownership is stealing. The service new digital card system used is charging 50 cents for 9 mins and the actual card reader says 25 cents for 10 mins. this has been going on for several weeks without correction. If you want to wash your clothes here, you can do that, if you have the ability to tune out a million negative features about the people who work here. The washing machines and dryers are fine - no complaints, except they cost a small fortune, and some of the doors don't close, so test that before filling the machine. There is some seating available, and a few tables for folding, that have always been clean enough when we come (and sometimes you can get a free Jesus brochure slid under your basket, since we all need to be saved, apparently!!). However. The people who work here are a really special sort. There's sometimes a dog inside here, seemingly a pet of one of the workers. The old man smokes like a chimney, so it's awesome to breathe in second hand smoke and have billows of cigarette smoke coming through the exterior doors when he smokes outside, and just generally reeking off his body anytime he's anywhere inside. He has also spent way too much time eyeing my underwear while I was folding my laundry, so that's really sweet. Why anyone would pay money for this person to wash and fold your clothes for you is beyond me - I imagine your clothes must go home smelling worse than they started. They run both the TV and the music at full volume so you get to listen to TWO conflicting things at once. Coupled with the beeping machines and constant noise of people and laundry, it's like taking all the worst parts of Vegas and putting them together in Austin. And my new favorite - the metal rolling cart sergeant who broke my hangers aggressively moving them from a cart to the top of a machine, in case anyone urgently needed a machine (narrator: there were FIVE EMPTY CARTS at that time so it was not actively bothering anyone to have claimed a single cart for our 6 machines worth of laundry). But she has her principles, as queen of the laundromat, so you do you lady, and I'll replace my hangers on my own, thanks so much for that. The machines are fine, so sadly I'll still be coming back here for a little longer until my house renovation is complete and I can use my own machines again, in the absence of nicotine and creepy underwear-watchers... what a dream. read more

I come here every now and then because my washer & dryer is too small to wash my comforters. I love that they have so many different size washers and the dryers are all big enough for my comforters. This place is very clean. There is always at least 1 attendant which makes it easy if you have any questions. There is a restroom and a couple tables and benches to sit at. There is also a couple tvs if you want to watch while you wait for your laundry. Overall, this place is a great laundromat and I always feel safe washing my comforters here! read more

I was searching online for a fluff and fold laundry service for a short term rental property that I help my daughter manage, ideally one that did pick up and delivery. When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business! read more

I have never been as mistreated as a paying customer before last night when I took a picture of the cashier wearing a face shield instead of a mask. He told me to take my wet clothes out of the machine and never come back. He also called the police and lied to them about the call, called me names as I was leaving and threatened me with pepper spray inches away from my face. This is one of the best laundromats in Austin. There are a ton of washers and dryers. We love using the large dryers specifically. It's affordable and they work very quickly - we have never had a home dryer that compares to the ones they have here. It's clean, usually quiet, and has some good spots to fold or sit and do a crossword puzzle. We will be sure to come back to the Laundry Spot whenever we need a laundromat! read more

Tooooo small! And kinda pricey. The machines have a feature that you can select the intensity of the wash, and that's pretty cool, but it is $1 more on the smaller machines. I was washing my dog beds and shoulda bumped it up, but I didn't and felt like they weren't as clean as I hoped. It's only 3 rows of washers with only 2 sides of the cheaper 2 loaders. They were all full when I arrived. I had to wait. Don't need the laundromat that often, but when I do, probably wouldn't come back here because it is so small. read more

For myself, free wifi, super clean, helpful staff, tons of various sized washers and dryers for one to do a huge load or several small loads in parallel. Super nifty coin changing machine that will take $20s and not stick you with a whole buncha Sacagaweas. It returns $5 in coins and 3x $5 bills! Not to mention, washing my queen size blanket took only 30ish minutes! I know 5 stars is the same rating I gave Uchi, but it's definitely as good as it gets for laundromats! read more

Frequently use the laundry spot to do laundry (have never used the service) and this place is very clean inside and has an attendant. There are two coin machines and one that even breaks a 20 and gives you $5 in quarters and three fives back which is actually great if you aren't going home to drink and play quarters. There is an attendant there which is helpful- one of them wonderfully taught me how to fold a fitted sheet (guess you can teach an old dog new tricks). read more

Oh I feel so boushy....When we were in Chicago we didn't have a place to do laundry so we used to drop it off at a place a block from us. They would wash and fold. It was amazing! The price is a little bit more than what I was used to paying but it's totally worth it. You pay by the pound and it's a 10 pound minimum. There's a price for next day or you can pay a little extra for same day express. I dropped off on Friday about 10:30 and picked up the next day. The place was super clean and the lady that took my laundry was friendly enough. I had brought my bag in a laundry bag. When I went to pick up it was folded so nice and wrapped in plastic and then in my laundry bag. I was so happy! All I had to do was put it away. Just like I remember. Easy, peasy laundry. Only used self service machines, had no problems though. Multiple sizes washing machines ranges from around $2 to $7, depending on soil level you might have to add another $1 onto the cycle. With dryers, I believe you get 6 minutes for every quarter you put in. They have a few coin machines to exchange cash for coins. Good COVID-19 safety measures such as no clothes folding or waiting in the store, must wait in car or outside, although not sure if they really enforce these rules.. I go to the location on Justin Ln. Very clean, all new machines in several sizes, and the staff is great and will assist with anything they can. Prices are very good and in the early morning hours it is never crowded. Even the restroom is spotless clean! And lastly, there is a small grocery next door for drinks and goodies while you wait and even a food truck on the end of the building that makes great, cheap tacos and burritos. When I pointed this out to the attendants they both said "what do you want me to do about it". I asked if I could have a refund or at least have my clothes dried. Baskets to transfer things from washer to dryer and tables to fold your clothes. I washed a carry on luggage sized suitcase full of socks, tshirts, hoodies and jeans. I'm no professional clothes washer so I just threw my large load in one machine and washed it in a cold wash for $6.50. It maybe more expensive for hot wash but I don't know. It was cleaned in 25 minutes. The dryer I used what I think is a medium machine and it was 25c for 6 minutes. $1.50 later and $8 in total I'm outta there.
