It seems the cat is out of the bag/this "hidden" gem is no longer hidden...when I started coming here several months ago, they had a promotion of 50% off Thursday mornings 7am-12p. It reduced to 25% off on Thursday mornings the last two times I was here, and now, today 4/23/26, the promotion is no longer. I'm glad this locally owned biz is doing well! Great place if your washer/dryer is on the fritz. It's a laundromat so it's not going to be exciting, but it's: Reasonably priced, has good equipment, no bad vibes, feels safe, places for kids if you have them with you, cash and card options, and free WiFi. Just don't come hungry, because the vending machines are way way WAY overpriced. Like predatory levels of overpriced on some items, several dollars for a tiny bag of chips that would cost $0.50-$1.50 at a grocery store or convenience store is sold for up to $5.00 sometimes. Not sure if this if the owner's doing or if they are renting that space to a vending vendor, but it's really off-putting in a world filled with shrinflation and ever-present corporate corruption. read more

On a recent move we didn't have a washing machine so I found this place for a quick load. For someone that hasn't used a laundromat in 20 years I was shocked it cost $11 for 1 load of clothes! $9.75 was just the wash! Anyway - for all I know that's the going rate now but aside from the sticker shock the location was clean and safe and I was in and out in about 1 hour or less. Really nice place last wash is at 9:45 Pm. We just followed the signs and it was easy. Some of the washers were huge. We used the 20 lb washer that cost $4.50 and the 30 lb that cost 8. It only took the washer 35 minutes. read more

Let's get this out of the way: Its pricy! If price is your top concern, this laundromat isn't going to be ideal. At twenty-five cents per five minutes of dry time, it's truly pricy! But it's worth coming here if you have children, because there is a play area and cameras are EVERYWHERE. Moreover, this has to be the absolute cleanest laundromat I've ever tried. So spacious with a nice even temperature, Aka none of that yucky washing machine induced humidity permeating the air. read more

I WILL TELL YOU SOMETHING I've experienced many a' laudnry mat in my day but never has there been one wich such kind, friendly staff, clean floors, fair prices, and great operating times. I came in here completely never been to this brand of laundry mat- i was surprised to see they use a really cool app system instead of cards or coins (which you can still use!) That told you when the machine was done as well as counted up membership points so you can use them on the dryers or washers so you dont always have to spend money. I came here expecting to spend nearky $50 but was happy that i only had to spend around $30! There was a really cool kids center with a projected game on the floor fornthe kids to play at, as well as a small table to read and sit at. The machines ran quickly and with no complaints about the load size (you can out up to 80 lbs i believe!) I literally csnt even think of any constructive criticism for this place either. All and all, a very good experience!! read more

Seriously, download and pay via the app. You want the real-time status of your laundry and the perks save $$ that can be used right away. Here's the trick to cost ! One, use the app. The loyalty points immediately reduce cost. Two, use a smaller (hence cheaper) washer(s). Really pick one you swear is too small; probably won't be. And Three, consider the statement at the end of this review . My first experience went something like: "OMG! This is an awesome laundromat! The washers and dryers look even better than the heavy duty industrial ones used at the Red Lion!" (A hotel I used to work at (NOT doing laundry though). I put in the wash, went to the ladies room (sooo clean! totally impressed there), got a snack and drink from the quite nice, well stocked vending machines, and sat down to watch an episode or two while I waited. You know just the typical 2-hour laundromat routine. Until it wasn't. Halfway through the first episode, the app vibrated. "WHAT? No way! It can't be clean yet? Just great! The owners must be cheap-asses and giving short cycles. I'm probably going to have to wash it twice." Grumble, hiss, boo! I have had this happen in the past at other laundromats. So with a sigh, I begin pulling out each piece for inspection. Shake, shake, snap, front's clean on this one, flip, back's clean. Shake, shake, snap, front's clean on another one, flip, back's clean...Shake, shake, snap, front's clean, flip, back's clean... Hands on hips, I stare down at the whole load. "Well, not cheap assed owners after all It's actually ALL clean! And in 30-35 minutes not an hour plus! Drying was fast too. I was done and walking out the door in an hour including folding. What a bummer! I had to finish watching my show from the comfort of my couch. (Tip: 2.5: Use the quick cycle. It's faster and a little cheaper and works better than most other's heavily soiled options.) While shulping my clean laundry to the car, I got to thinking, "Didn't the washer have a weight limit? 65lb? 85? I don't think this load is that heavy." "First time, I've seen that info displayed! How cool is that? Sure it protects their property. I'll bet the washers won't run if the weight limit is exceeded. Still, think I'll weight the clean laundry to see what the difference is." Sure enough I overpaid for a washer with nearly 3 times the capacity I needed. It's amazing how much can be stuffed into these high grade washers and come out super clean in less than half the time. These really aren't your Mama's washing machine nor outdated ones at other laundromats. These are high quality, state of the art, commercial grade washers and dryers that do twice the work in half the time. Laundrolab isn't really more expensive so long as our choices take into account the technology. Any additional cost is saved in time and longevity. It's an obvious statement but one we really don't actually think about. Clothing washed in half the time will have half the wear and tear caused by washers. Thus lasting longer and reducing clothing costs. Too bad LaundroLab can't do anything about that blouse that was just so totally awesome it made me buy it! Really it did. I swear! And at gun point too! Yep, that's my story; l'm sticking to it! read more

I'm a traveling carpenter living out of my RV. I visit lots of laundry mats around the country. LaundroLab is my favorite! Get new, easy to use washers, for this old guy. I'm 61. Love the change machine. Put in a $20 and it automatically gives $5 in quarters and three $5 bills. If I need more quarters just slip in a $5! Clean bathroom. Friendly staff. Great sitting areas. I generally wait in my truck. But not here. At LaundroLab I wait inside. Best laundry mat I've ever been in. And if you're not an old fart like me, you can pay from your phone at the washers and dryers. read more

I have searched Austin for a clean laundromat, and this place outranks them all. The establishment has rigorous cleaning standards; you'll often see the crew mid day wiping out the machines. The equipment is new as well; this, along with the cleaning, means the machines are pristine. The crew who runs it is always friendly, and they seem to have a good work culture among themselves. I met the owner, whose dedication to a first rate product is demonstrated in the way she oversees the floor, knows her customers (she remembered my name after the first time I came) and her own constant cleaning of the space. Lastly, the place is thoughtfully planned and laid out. There's an area for kids, big tables for folding, and an area for customers to sit and watch TV or work at a table with stools. If you enjoy the peace of a well run production and CLEAN facilities, I'd highly recommend Laundrolab on Research Blvd! read more

This amazing "space age" laundromat offered me the BEST service. Jacqueline helped me through the process and was quite pleasant. Was in and out in no time. I searched them out to wash/dry the towels and rugs that I used to soak up the water in my laundry room when my own washing machine spin cycle died. Easy to find and close parking. Ample supply of shiny carts to move laundry from washer to dryer, and out to my car when finished. read more

I love this laundromat! Living on the UT campus, I don't have laundry services in my apartment, so I go out of my way to go to LaundroLab. This laundromat is super clean, washers and driers always open, and the staff here is so friendly. Keep in mind that you can pay with quarters, but to pay with credit card, I downloaded the app. Their app shows you how many machines are available, allows you to set a timer notification and when your washer is done, and gives you points (when I buy a wash, usually I have enough points for a free dry). There's always somewhere to sit and their wifi is great for getting some work done while waiting. read more

I was visiting Austin and my Airbnb didn't have a washer and dryer. I found Laundrolab as I searched around finding a place to do my laundry this week. When I got in there, Stacy was so welcoming and really explained everything incredibly well. I didn't have any difficulty understanding how the machines work. The place was immaculate and even while I was there, Stacy was cleaning up and maintaining the cleanliness. I normally don't use laundromats so I can't say for certain how cheap/expensive it is. I spent about $8 for wash and dry one load of clothing. I did feel bad that Stacy gave me referral tokens because I wouldn't be using them, but I decided to pay her kindness forward and leave them behind at my Airbnb for other visitors to use or distribute to others who need a laundry facility. read more

I was looking for a new exciting place to do my laundry and I definitely found it here at LaundroLab. I searched out the place and looked at photos, so I knew it when I saw it and pulled right up. I was so happy that the doors were huge and opened right up automatically and that the carts were right there because I had a Queen sized lightweight comforter, towels and clothes and underthings, that sort of thing, so it was a large load, but not huge. The place was bright and airy so I felt happy right away. I was assisted by the NICEST, most patient lady who had to help me into this century with how to put the app on my phone and how to take a photo of some black and white thing on the machine. It went very quick, and I didn't have to use tons of soap. I chose the quick wash cycle ($4.75), which is a normal price for that size load. The water used is based on the weight of your clothes. And water conservations is right up my alley, so I was glad to hear that. My clothes came out super clean and almost dry. Let me tell you about the spin cycle on those machines. It spins so fast, it is a sight to see. I walked around and saw another staff person wiping down all the folding tables, which is another huge deal, because I have been to places where they is not done and well clean clothes deserve to folded on a clean area. Their was a kids area and I became a kid again and read Stone Soup and played a game on the floor. Then, presto, my clothes were done. They were SO clean! I could tell everything had been really saturated with water and cleaned so well. This means the machines are powerful. The dryer was $1 and my clothes, including the comforter were done in 20 mins. Y'all need to get over there before the whole city finds out about this place. Also, please vote in the annual BEST OF AUSTIN, because LaundryLab deserves to be at the top of the list. read more

My first visit was the afternoon of July 4th. I was overheated and out of energy, had an upset stomach, and my eyes were so irritated I could hardly see. But laundry waits for nothing. The facility was cool (critical at that moment) and clean and the staff was friendly. The staff had amazing customer service skills, explaining the facility, anticipating questions, and patiently answering my questions. Then, one employee took it up a notch. I don't care if she was just trying to avoid me passing out or vomiting on the floor, she had my back when I needed help. My vision was so bad I couldn't read the instructions to add money to their app with cash. Then I couldn't read the washing machine instructions. She suggested a machine and explained why, talked me through the settings and then selected them and helped me again with the app. Apparently, she really thought I was going to fall when I was trying to load the washer, because she loaded my things for me! I felt bad for needing so much help and repeatedly thanked her, but she handled gracefully and reassured me. Other staff checked in on me occasionally as well and were also kind and friendly. They made sure I knew the quickest route to the restroom and the coolest location if that would help. They are not the cheapest laundromat in town. But I am completely confident they are the best value laundromat in town, from the cleanliness, staff wearing gloves when working with others clothes and switching between customers, helpfulness, and seeming to truly care about people having a good experience. I made it home with clean laundry--which I don't think would've happened without the help staff gave me--but feeling like that employee had my back. That there are people in this world who will notice you're having a really bad day and give you a helping hand. Clean laundry and warm fuzzies! read more
