3 load row of Magic Cycle Laundry.

Just moved to the Austin area and needed to clean clothes. I yelped laundromats in the local area and decided to try here. The place is set up to read a card from Magic Cycle Laundry. It is a debit card of sorts. You can get the card in a machine which accepts cash or cards. You can even add money to the card if you want. The directions are in English and Spanish. Once you have the card you choose the size of washer or dryer you need. The sizes are categorized by loads. Magic Cycle has 4 load sizes: 3, 4, 6 and 8. Each size has a different price starting at $2.99 for the 3 load to $8.99 for the 8 load. There are 2 sizes in the dryers (large and regular). The cost is $1.99 and $1.19 in perspective. You can buy detergent and fabric softner from a coin vending machine for $1.00 each. The place seems to be well kept. It is clean and the customer service attendants vacuum the lint from the dryers. Magic Cycle is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm. It has ample parking and chairs to sit while you are waiting. The laundry baskets were clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were clean and not gross as some may be. Overall a good place to do your wash.

I don't often find myself needing a laundromat. But I have a comforter with a stain I needed to clean. I found this place online and was weary because there were no recent reviews. I had a very positive experience at this spot. From the moment I walked in the lady at the front was very helpful. She could probably tell it was my first time there so she talked me through the steps. She pushed aside her own laundry so I could have the big one. It was clean, fairly priced, efficient and friendly. I'll for sure use them moving forward!

Not been to a laundromat in years, couldn't have asked for a better experience. Helpful staff, good machines, popcorn being cooked was a nice touch. If I ever have to go again, will come back here.

How do all employes wash their hands like the sign says if they have no soap in the bathroom?

This location requires you to get a card. You cannot use quarters. That's a waste of my time.

I was searching online for a fluff and fold laundry service for a short term rental…read moreproperty that I help my daughter manage, ideally one that did pick up and delivery. When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!

MY LAUNDRY WAS STOLEN AND THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T GIVE AN F! I believe my laundry was stolen by…read moreeither the female attendant or a co-conspirator. On June 19th, 2023 I was in the facility and she asked me how many machines I had. When I told her I was using 3 of the 8 load machines and 2 of the 6 load machines she said "wow that's a lot of laundry." I said yes, that I had not been to the laundromat in years, had cancer but was feeling good today so wanted to get it all caught up and done at once. I then heard her on the phone speaking to someone about "there's this girl with laundry..." I tuned it out because I wasn't the only female there at that point and she works at a laundromat but in hindsight it all makes sense. She had been at the folding table folding laundry for those that pay for that service the entire time I was there. When my laundry was ready to dry she pointed to the dryers closest to her. I figured she was doing me a favor and pointing out the best dryer or something so I went where she pointed over to the corner. I had to separate the clothing that went into the dryer from the air dry laundry. I did this to all 3 of the 8 load machines I was doing this while doing my best to keep my eye on the machines that were still waiting for me. I would grab laundry - look - repeat. You get the picture. At this time the attendant disappeared. I finished all 3 of these machines and moved onto the 6 load machines which were in another row over. Machines number 18 & 19 and there was someone else's laundry in machine 19. The gentleman who had just started the machine was still standing there and told me it was empty when he got to it. He was holding an empty basket and I saw no clothes of mine in the window. I started looking in every direction, in all washers and dryers and at everyone's laundry they were folding, in their baskets and challenging people who were leaving. I went to the attendant who had returned to the folding table and told her someone took my laundry. Her response was "are you sure?" I stared at her and told her " yes I'm sure." I went to the machine, put in my card and showed her that I had paid for the use of this machine. I asked to see the cameras. She told me she didn't have access. I asked then who did? She told me only the owner. I asked for the owners name and number and her response was "I don't know ." REALLY? I said "you don't know who you work for? You don't know the name, number, who pays you, and who makes the schedule?" She tells me no. I told her I'm calling the police to report it. She then tells me "just leave your name and number for the owner. No need to call the police." I told her I would leave my name and number but I was still calling APD. Now why wouldn't she want me to call them? SUS Then I noticed another man in the facility who had been there for a good 30 minutes but I hadn't really taken notice of him before. He was clearly an employee. I told him that someone had stolen my laundry and asked if he had access to the cameras and if he had the owners name and number. His response was "No he didn't to both questions. IDGAF. Do what you want. Don't involve me. Call the police if you want. IDGAF." Nice. Helpful guy. I have never heard from the owner. I have money on my card I want refunded. I filed a police report. I know dam well nothing will come of it. I know my clothes are gone, but I know someone who works there took my laundry or gave someone a tip to come take it OR they at the very least knew the owners information and didn't bother to share it which to me, makes you just as ridiculous AND guilty as the person who stole someone else's laundry. What sad human beings that they DGAF when someone else gets their most basic things stolen from them. I know there are others in worse situations, but if they will steal your dirty underwear and socks they will steal your last $5 and your purse. LOOK OUT AND WASH YOUR CLOTHES ELSEWHERE. IF YOU ARE THE OWNER CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY. THE ONLY WAY I WILL TAKE THIS DOWN IS IF WE SPEAK! RIDICULOUS I HAVE TO GO TO THIS LENGTH TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE.

Being that this is a public laundromat you would think you had access to the machines you came for unless being used by another patron. Not here!! The staff use 99% of washers and dryers and put " OUT OF SERVICE " stickers on the rest while using them. Then when I asked about using the ones that were labeled out of service because I could clearly see they were working, I got told I'll just have to wait. Mind you all of this was said in Spanish because no one speaks English here. They do take credit cards. (It places $12.00 charge to be corrected the next day or so). And a smaller dryer (which is not small) was $1.25 for the initial 25 minutes and then you could add another 5 minutes for each 25 cents additional. Our load was dry for the 30 minutes. I'll update if there is an issue with the credit card charges. We went on a Wednesday so most of the machines were busy with the wash and fold business. But every thing went well; and they mentioned that they have a card you could purchase to use with credit on it to not need to use your credit card like that. We're just in town for a visit so I don't know about that. Most machines were used; with a few not working.
