Had several large blankets that needed to be washed and I wasn't looking forward to the trek to the laundromat. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived and there was plenty of machines and it was very clean facility. You load a laundry card at the front counter on either side either by cash or card. Machines are easy to use and displays the cost and time of cycle on the card reader. Overall will use again if the need should arise because I was able to wash 3 large blankets in 20 mins and be on my way. Just moved to the Austin area and needed to clean clothes. I yelped laundromats in the local area and decided to try here. The place is set up to read a card from Magic Cycle Laundry. It is a debit card of sorts. You can get the card in a machine which accepts cash or cards. You can even add money to the card if you want. The directions are in English and Spanish. Once you have the card you choose the size of washer or dryer you need. The sizes are categorized by loads. Magic Cycle has 4 load sizes: 3, 4, 6 and 8. Each size has a different price starting at $2.99 for the 3 load to $8.99 for the 8 load. There are 2 sizes in the dryers (large and regular). The cost is $1.99 and $1.19 in perspective. You can buy detergent and fabric softner from a coin vending machine for $1.00 each. The place seems to be well kept. It is clean and the customer service attendants vacuum the lint from the dryers. Magic Cycle is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm. It has ample parking and chairs to sit while you are waiting. The laundry baskets were clean and well maintained. I don't often find myself needing a laundromat. But I have a comforter with a stain I needed to clean. I found this place online and was weary because there were no recent reviews. I had a very positive experience at this spot. From the moment I walked in the lady at the front was very helpful. She could probably tell it was my first time there so she talked me through the steps. She pushed aside her own laundry so I could have the big one. All laundromats in the area are about equal distance from me, so I choose this one because it is the easiest to get in and out of w parking. I like the prepaid cards because the cc swipe machines puts undue holds on your card so you don't know how much is going to be available afterwards. Prepaid cards are the way to go. The machines do clean well and the water is hot from what I've been able to feel. I don't like that I have to sniff before putting my clothes in because half of them smell moldy probably from being kept shut after use. (My pet peeve!) the dryers are weird but work. You can't buy in increments of time. You have to buy another full cycle if it's not dry the first time. Usually only need one 30-40 min cycle even for towels on high heat. Staff is nice and helpful. Best of all it's never crowded! read more

Was looking for a place to wash blankets and came across this place on Yelp. Very impressed, modern and clean. Staff person was helpful to a newbie trying to understand their card system - no quarters, you buy a card and have it electronically deducted with each load. I washed 2 king comforters and am very pleased at how quickly the machines worked. read more

I hate writing bad reviews, but when it's deserved... This is for for the cleaning service only - I did not use the self serve machines, which looked fine. I dropped off my comforter to get cleaned. They told me it would be ready later the same day, but I never got a call. So I went there the next day around lunchtime. A sign was there saying 'we will be right back'. Okay, cool. People go to the bathroom or run to the convenient store (right next door)... I get that. 30 minutes later, nobody. So, you went to lunch and thought it was okay to have a sign saying 'be right back'? 30+ minutes does not qualify for 'right back'. That and the lack of a phone call would have gotten me to 3 stars. $16 to clean the comforter - fine. Not high, not low. Normal. If it was clean. I do not think they cleaned it at all. I suspect they literally folded it up and put it in a bag. I saw a few small dirt marks so I rubbed my fingernail over them to see if they were permanent or easy to rub off. Super easy. No way this thing went through a clean cycle. If it did, it's a 1 star cleaning job either way. read more

Our dryer is on the fritz so we brought our laundry here to dry. We could not believe how clean this place is...clean and well kept. There are a variety of machines with 3, 4, 6, and 8 load capacities. The dryers were just two different capacities but the large capacity was sufficient for three loads of clothes...at least. Rather than taking change, the machines run on a pre-paid card system but you can reload them easily. The young lady working there was very helpful. While we were waiting for our clothes to dry, we went next door to JD's Market. There is a taqueria, panderia, and carneceria right there plus a wide variety of items you can't find at most groceries. The taqueria has the usual types of tacos as well as the less typical like tripas. The menu also included daily plate specials. The panderia had a good variety of baked goods from conchitas to muffins. And the meat market had marinated meats and chicharrones along with the standards. We had somewhere else in mind for breakfast but definitely plan to come back and try the tacos and baked goods soon. And until we resolve our laundry issues, we will definitely be coming here to take care of that as well. Fresh tacos while the laundry dries...works for me. read more

THEY ARE SELLING DETERGENT MIXED WITH WATER!! DO NOT buy laundry detergent from these people! I was short of a little bit of laundry detergent due to the fact that I poured most of mine in a washer that had a VERY small out of order sign that was out of sight until it was too late. So of course I decided to buy a small 3 dollar bottle from these people, and when I poured it in the washer it was extremely watery and runny. Towards the end you can see all the extra water pouring out. 3 dollars for a tiny little bottle of a water mixture? That's ridiculous. I felt robbed. On top of all this the place is FILTHY. From the floors to all theirs washers and dryers, my clothes have not even smelled good after being washed here. They get one start because at least last time I was there the lady that sold me the watered down detergent was nice to me. Definitely won't be coming here again unless they get their ducks in a row. I usually come the Friday's and Saturdays at morning and they have excellent service for clients and the employees are very helpful and polite.The place is really neat, they have the best prices than other laundry's. My favorite part of this laundry is that it's very sophisticated and instead of using coins they use card. I would really recommend you going there. read more

For a first time user, this place is pretty easy to navigate. You do have to buy a card if it's your first time. $0.99. No big deal. Normal size loads are $2.59 to wash and $1.19 to dry. Always clean and comfortable. Don't have to worry about cash they use a card system that takes out the worry about taking quarters with to do your laundry. All front load machines from a 2,3,4,6,8 load sizes. Nice and cool inside and quiet too. All the kids here are well behaved and quiet unlike other locations. Will keep coming back read more

I was excited that this place looked so nice, and was conveniently located down the street from my house. We just moved and are currently without a washer/dryer in the new place. We got here, half the machines do not work, the staff barely speaks English, the lady who appeared to beg the manager barely speaks any language I can understand. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish and couldn't get her to understand me in either language. I put money in 2 machines, started them, one machine stopped running, and she was nice enough to pay on their card to start it again. When I came back to switch loads into the dryer, the load she had paid for had been moved into a different machine, and was still dirty. I had already started two loads in the dryer, and now, had to pay a second time for the same load to be washed....in total, this load cost 3 times, and what should have taken about an hour to wash and dry 3 loads of laundry in these high efficiency machines took me over 2 hours and cost me $32. This laudromat is part of JD's Market and Texaco station. Since this store is still fairly new, I found it to be clean, the machines are well maintained, and the price is reasonable. I come here to clean my queen size bedspread. They have machines of several sizes and I found one that could handle my things very well. A bonus is JD's next doors. This is a meat market, taqueria and bakery. If you are looking for a snack while waiting for your clothes, they have a good selection of tasty food. read more

I would give 5 stars because place is always clean and the staff is usually really friendly except for one girl who makes me so uncomfortable. I am not doing my laundry there because I want to but she always glares at me like I come there to hang out and I'm ruining her day by being there. I came today around 1pm and she passed by me several times, glaring at me the whole while. I almost expected her to say something snide to me and try to start a fight, that's how bad it was. I work at a place where I am left to run the place by myself, which seems to also be the set up here, and I know it's aggravating to see people walk in the door when you are by yourself but being that you are in a position where you have to deal with customers you put on a smile (or at least a decent attitude) and deal with it. If they would lose her it would be a great place definitely worth 5 stars! read more

This is was the first time I've been to this location and may be my last. I usually like going to laundromats to clean my comforters, since I have my smaller machines at home. This location was next to a gas station and the parking wrapped around the building, which had an closed entrance. So all the traffic had to come and go out of the one side of the buidling. A little inconvenient if the front parking is full. Inside, it wasn't as clean as I would've liked. There was lint and trash on the floor, built up lint and trash in between cracks, the detergent dispensers looked like they had a build up of different types of fabric softeners. The machine I used was leaking and it just didn't look sanitary. The restroom was ok. The sink looked pretty dirty and they only have an air dryer. The TV kept skipping, guessing from bad connection, and it was loud. So it was pretty annoying after awhile to listen to that. There was an almost empty popcorn machine near the customer service desk, which was attended by a teenage-looking girl and I think her little brother. There's also a cell phone kiosk service in the corner which I didn't even see until I used the dryer. That wasn't bothersome. I didn't have any issues with the dryer, which was nice. This place has a lot of potential since it's one of the few laundromats in pflugerville. The cleanliness is questionable and I'm sad to say that I feel my blankets don't feel as clean as it should since everything else felt dirty. read more

My machine at home suddenly stopped working thankfully just before my last load. I needed to get it done and none of my neighbors were at home so I looked up this laundry place. Seemed nice. I went there and the machines don't take coins. Ok, but you need to spend almost $1 to get your card and I just needed one spin I'm pretty sure. The gal running the place offered to let me use her card and she said a spin was $1.90. Wow ok. I gave her $2 in coins. I loaded a dryer, she paid using her card and it was $1.20. I had told her it was a small load. So yeah she was really helpful. I felt set up. If my machine isn't fixed quick; I won't be back. My load was done in one spin. The place is new and seems fine. This place is awesome when it comes to the availability and cleanliness of the washers and dryers. I go there out of necessity since my small apt. Doesn't have connections..but speaking as a grandmother of 5. And a person who adores children, I feel that management could do better by hiring a person who doesn't have her child on the premises throughout her shift. The worker allows her child to run around the whole place and got offended when I asked her to tell her child to be careful since she almost ran into my grandsons stroller! She said and I quote 'you know how kids are'.. Well if they don't have supervision. They will do as they please.. So therefore I can see a child getting hurt there as being a big possibility. Never mind that she was just dang right rude.. She can't ask other patrons to tell there children to stop running around , because she'd be contradicting herself.. Keep in mind I paid money just like everyone else. Why should I have to look for another place to do laundry. When all she has to do is HER JOB!!! SMH. Any comments made in regards to this review..will not be answered, I'm not trying to offend anyone. If I did.. SORRY..your entitled to your opinion !
