Employees are friendly and helpful, well maintained and clean, lots of machines. Never have had to wait to get my laundry started. I think it's a brilliant idea to have a self-clean car wash attached so you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I think the only addition that I'd suggest is a food truck with a few picnic tables and it would be perfect! read more

As a mom of two kids, I actually really enjoyed my little escape every week to Leander Laundry and Car Wash, and it was MORE than the time away. I was in a really tight spot earlier this year and my apartment didn't have a washer / dryer situation and their on site laundry hadn't been open for the entire time I was there (but I'll save that story for another review ;) ). Anywho, I visited every weekend for about three months and here is my honest review: 1. One of the best maintained laundromats I've ever been to. 2. The owners actually put in the grunt work to make sure the environment is safe, clean and well maintained. 3. Bilingual friendly 4. Close to 7-11, so snacks and refreshments can make this trip quite nice - table outside to unmask and relax. 5. OWNERSHIP ACTUALLY CARES and is on-sight regularly! I met a woman (I cannot remember her name), who spent time telling me about when she bought the business. She wants to improve the standard of laundromats and carwashes - two industries that are notoriously poorly maintained and managed. Her vision was to make it a safe, accepting and comfortable community of people coming through every week. That's her WHY for this place - and she is DOING IT! Great JOB! Ivan was kind, friendly and helpful. I had lots of change but few quarters. He was kind enough to take my coins for minutes on the dryer. As I waited for my sheets and bed pad to dry, he was busy cleaning, assisting other people and just being friendly. I was so impressed. It still would have been nice without Ivan; but he made a bump in my day so much more pleasant. I will definitely recommend this business to others. So I looked online and found Leander Laundry and the reviews made me decide to come in and try it for myself. 2.00 for a wash is an amazing deal and 1.25 for 30 minutes in the dryer is a steal. Since this one was closer I went here. I have used their other location called Washetopia off Anderson Mill for years. I found Leander Laundry & Car Wash to be fine for a laundromat. I was there today on a Monday from 1-3pm and there were only 2-3 other people there. They would stay outside while their clothes ran and they all had masks on. The only things I found lacking here that Washetopia has is LL&C1) coin only. Washetopia has ability to use credit/debit but LL&C has a 7-11 next door with ATM 2) LL&C doesn't have an attendant on location to trouble shoot, clean and do laundry for you. Other than that LL&C was fine. Kind of cool you can wash your car at the same time as you do your laundry. read more

This place has gone downhill - been coming here for about 10 years to wash my king size bedding and yesterday at 11:00am one of the big commercial washing machines would not unlock for me to get my comforter out - so we called the number listed and left a voicemail I also went to the website and sent a message and then called again 30 minutes later and as of now I have not heard back from anyone! And it has been 24 hours. Thankfully I thought to add a quarter to try and reset and it worked it cost me an extra quarter to get the machine to unlock - but my real issue is the lack of response and no on-site or quick response so if I had not resolved myself my $300 comforter would still be locked in a machine getting moldy! A great, clean washateria with everything you need EXCEPT... the little old guy who is obviously responsible for cleaning. It's mid day Wednesday and pretty busy. He is choosing to mop the floors. He asked me to "move" while I got change so he could mop where I was standing. There are women and kids with flip flops on and I just saw one kid fall. Yes he has "caution" signs up but wouldn't it be better to mop early before the crowd or later when they leave? Accident waiting to happen because it's a lot of water with an unwrung mop. This place is very clean and bright. When we went by a couple weeks ago (May 2013) the Car wash part seemed out of commission? Maybe they were renovating but it looked like all of the equipment was pulled out. The laundromat does seem to get pretty busy on the weekends. We used this place during a move when we didn't have a washer/dryer at home and were able to knock out all of the laundry for a family of 8 in a few hours. They have the ginormous washers that must take 6 times the normal amount of clothes. I am not aware of any other clean non-sketchy feeling laundromats in the Leander area so I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Discovered Leander Laundry on a Friday night after my dryer went out and I had a mountain of laundry to get done. Was able to fit it all into one large capacity washer! I appreciated being able to add 25 cents at on the dryers as needed to dry the perfect amount. Also they are open until 12am! read more

Went here one day after work due to an issue I had at my place with the Washer. Place is on its game. I arrived with not many people around. Was able to get a washer with no issue. Went and washed my car right outside. Then came back in and found a dryer. Over all visit was way more then I expected. I highly recommend this place.. The place was amazingly clean. Very clean laundromat with air conditioning and WiFi. Coin operated and they have a coin machine in the store. There was an attendant actively cleaning the facility while I was there so that was nice to se. Different size washers that vary in price based on load size but start at $2. Dryers are $0.25 for 6 minutes. Love that the dryers have low, medium, and high temperatures for drying different items. Here while I wait for a new dryer to be delivered to my house. I just left Leander Laundry and am a bit shocked at the $6.75 charge to wash a load of clothes! I have lived in the Austin area for almost 20 years and I have NEVER seen a load of laundry cost $6.75! I have travelled internationally and never paid this much. My washer went out, so I took $1.25 worth of quarters in hopes of doing a single wash load. When I remarked about the high price, someone told me there were a few $2 per load machines in the back, and of course those were all in use. I don't know who thinks $6.75 is a realistic rate per load of laundry in Leander, TX but I guess the owner of Leander Laundry and Car Wash does.... This is absolutely ridiculous! It is a shame because the Leander location is more convenient than the laundry mat in Cedar Park. The Cedar Park laundry mat is much better priced. read more

I was so excited to learn about their wash and fold service - the idea of spending a day at the laundromat with a new baby was more than overwhelming. I spoke with Velma over the phone to set up my appointment for the next day. I was so embarrassed at how much laundry I accumulated in such a short period of time but she made me feel so comfortable trusting my family's clothes with her. She even understood the importance of tending to the baby's clothes because I can't afford to shrink them lol. She had everything ready for me the next day and even had assistance for me to bring the clothes to my car so I didn't have to juggle them and the baby! Regarding the hours of operation for Leander laundry on this web page. This location is open everyday from 6 am to midnight. Including all holidays. There is no other self service Coin op laundromat and car wash any where near as nice as this place. The cleanest place in central Texas by FAR. New machines well kept at reAsonable prices. You would be a fool to pass this place up for a competitor. Kudos to the staff, which is ALWAYS on hand, for taking such good care of the place. read more

I agree with all the good stuff everyone had to say about the place including the one negative about the little old man who cleans. He just showed up there recently, as I've been going there for a bit and I thought I'd done something wrong cos not only did I experience the whole mopping issue that another customer talked about but he shadowed me all over, not just the inside but approached me while I was in my car to tell me I'd used too much soap in one machine. Came here because my washer is broken. Washed six loads. Took about half the time I expected. Plenty of large front loading washers and large capacity dryers. They also have softened water. Place is owned by a retired teacher and her son, who keep it meticulously clean. Even when my washer is fixed, I will come back if I have a lot of laundry and not much time. read more
